Blurb: Can a pirate and a doctor find love on the seas?
Stephen is a doctor, a practical man who wishes his sister wouldn’t worry so about the pirates that plague their island home. So it’s ironic that Stephen himself is set upon by just those pirates, who carry him off to heal their wounded captain.

John is a pirate captain, master of his fate and used to getting what he wants. And he decides he wants Stephen, even when the good doctor wants nothing more than to run away from him.
Can the beast convince the doctor who the sailors call the butcher to stay with him?

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of BDSM, non-consensual sex and dubious consent during captivity.

Publisher’s Note: This book was previously published elsewhere. It has been revised and re-edited for release with Totally Bound.

Review: I really had to laugh as I started reading this. Back in the day when I first starting reading romance novels, they were the good old-fashioned bodice rippers that I sneaked from my mother. And damned if this isn’t one except with two men.

Stephen is a very proper gentleman doctor who is abducted by a pirate crew to tend to their captain. Of course it isn’t just his wounds the captain wants attained to. So comes the forced seduction of the good doctor by the beastly pirate captain.

There is tons of sex. Pretty much all over the book. All and all it’s good hot sex. Very raunchy. There are light elements of BDSM with some pain play and a few other things. Definitely non-consensual and dubious consent through a good part of it.

The story is absolutely ridiculous and hilarious. But I feel no guilt in saying I highly enjoyed it. I found myself liking both characters with no real clue why. There is no real history on either of them. John is not a nice man and is very upfront about it. Stephen is almost a complete innocent. But it works in true bodice ripper fashion.

If you are looking for some deep meaning in your story this is not it. On the other hand if you are looking for something that will give you a good laugh and high sex content this should definitely do it.

Review: A story about two doctors who basically want to be with each other but one keeps the other and everyone else at a distance. Isaac has been wanting Declan for a while it’s just a matter of breaking through his shell to the real man underneath. Things change when they find a baby abandoned outside.

Declan was very closed off to everyone. He finally gives in and tells Isaac he grew up in the foster system. Once he holds the baby though his walls begin to crack.
Really enjoyed this wonderfully written story and reading how these men slowly came together when one needed the other. There is a lot of drama throughout as well as some hot sex between Declan and Isaac.

Great read.

Review: I really enjoy reading JP Bowie’s writing. He always writes a fun and engaging story and All I’ll Ever Need is certainly no different. And a man who can crowbar two of my favourite authors (John Grisham and Diana Gabaldon) into a book has to get marks there too! Speaking of sticking some pop culture references, it’s somewhat charming to even get a real life celebrity “cameo”.

Though, damn it, through this entire book I had the Matchbox 20 song, similarly named ‘That’s All That I Need’, stuck in my head since reading the title of this book. But since I like the band and the song, that’s okay, it’s just on an album I’ve not heard in years!

This isn’t your usual Hollywood romance, MM or otherwise, which is what really sets it apart. In fact, it’s Hollywood mixed with small-town-boy-moving-to-big-city mixed with growing up mixed with sex-drugs-and-rock ‘n’ roll. There is a lot of fun but there is also one serious issue prominent throughout: drug use.

This is about small town Southern boy, Edward, moving to LA – he just wanted, needed, to get away from his Bible-bashing, narrow-minded family and so-called friends after admitting he was gay. LA was just like a beacon of hope with multitudes of gay bars and same-sex marriage. In LA he meets, Alex. Alex works in PR for the rich and famous, one of his closest friends is an actress, which is the start of his complicated past so I won’t say any more.

Edward and Alex have some stunning chemistry. In fact, their issues don’t come from each other but from the people around them directly impacting on their lives. Their pasts do come into play somewhat but it is the people of the “here and now” that are most instrumental to the plot of this book. That being said, the minor characters involved are for the most part very interesting.

I have to admit I particularly liked the development in minor character, Troy, who started out as Edward’s obnoxious and not at all nice housemate. Another two honourable mentions for minor characters is Mark McLennan and Lena Miles (you’ll just have to read why they got the mention here!).

Overall, if you love a good Hollywood, this is a brilliant one to go for. It doesn’t involve famous though fictional big actors or directors, but the feeling is still there. If you like, the boy moving to the city type of thing, this is especially for you.

Review: Wouldn’t it be great to have a town that is all like-minded people? Where everyone is Gay or gay-friendly? That’s what cattle valley is. Asa Montgomery, a man with money enough to buy a town (or two) worked hard with his friends to build Cattle Valley. It wasn’t easy but now it’s filling up fast. It is getting so full that now they are having to take applications for new residents.

Asa has sold most of his businesses and focuses on Montgomery enterprises the software company that keeps Cattle Valley going and gives him more time with his sexy Italian husband Mario.

A call from Joseph about one of his boys being stabbed has Asa seriously considering buying the quaint Lobster Cove that Mario has shown him a few days ago.

This is book 32 of the Cattle Valley series. You probably could read this without reading the others as Carol is good at dropping a bit of information so you do know the characters. And there are a lot of characters. I really do think it is best though if you have read the series.

This looks like a setup for a new series and I am doing the happy dance! I love Cattle Valley and am looking forward to more of these men and lots of new men and new situations.

This also gives us more on Cullen and Joseph.

So if you like Millionaires (or billionaires) sexy gym workers, ex-priests that run homeless boys shelters, and are looking for a new series to follow this is for you. Oh, don’t forget some hot man-sex!

Blurb: Lessons learned from past betrayals can protect Colby Vincent’s heart, or cost him a chance at happiness he never thought to have.

Colby thought he’d never let anyone close again after being betrayed by everyone he loved, but one closeted, stubborn oilfield worker with a penchant for dressing like a cowboy seems determined to out himself and win Colby’s heart. It’s as if Hunter Talamentez walked right out of Colby’s fantasies and into the convenience store where Colby works.

But Hunter is closeted, and he’s never considered changing that. He’s got his homophobic cousin with him, a family that he knows won’t support him if they know the truth about who he is and a job where being out could get him hurt. He resigned himself to spending his life alone until he gets to know Colby. Then he embarks on a journey with Colby that will change their lives if only they both find the strength to take a few chances.

Nothing comes easily, and learning to give from the heart when that heart has been shattered twice before might be more than Colby is capable of. He isn’t sure about having more than a fling with Hunter, yet he can’t seem to stay away from the man, either. What was meant to be one night together turns into more, and Colby loses his ability to keep Hunter at the safe distance he’d wanted.

Review: Ballotsville isn’t a very accepting town. At least Colby hasn’t found it to be. Most people have ignored him or refused to shop on his shift as if gay is contagious. He doesn’t care. He is out, doesn’t flaunt his sexuality, but refuses to hide who he is. He works two jobs since his rich family tossed him out as soon as he turned 17 with only a suitcase of clothes.

He doesn’t have boyfriend since if there is anyone in town gay they are hidden in the closet. He has a fantasy guy that is tall, and brawny in jeans, pearl button shirt, silver belt buckle, cowboy hat, and cowboy boots.

Hunter is living in the closet and has never considered coming out. He stays busy working the oil rigs to send home money to his mom and has his bigoted cousin to keep an eye on that can’t stay out of trouble. Once he meets Colby in the convenience store and at his other job, he begins to wonder how long he can hide. The more he sees the sexy clerk the more he wants to get to know him.

This is another beautifully written story by Bailey Bradford. There are so many lessons of acceptance and love to be learned in this one story. I fell in love with every single character from Colby, to the sassy Christy he works with and of course Hunter. Bailey paints a poignant picture with words.

I could see Hunter in his cowboy clothes and the expression on Colby’s face the first time he saw him in his regular clothes and not work clothes. My heart went out to Colby. I could feel his pain and loneliness. Oh and the sex is so sizzling hot! It is explicit there is a lot of it but it’s always so well done!

If you’re looking for the perfect story to pull you in and keep you entertained for a few hours, this is it. If you like, hunky heroes, tough out and proud gay men, sassy chicks and happy endings this is the perfect book for you. I forgot to mention how smoking hot it is! Turn on the fans!

Blurb: An unregistered human con wizard and a duty-bound, straight-laced elf cop. As New York explodes with dangerous creatures, their passion goes nuclear.

After a terrible magical accident at Berkeley created unpredictable holes between realities, all manner of non-human creatures started popping into our world. These displacements, called Random Anomalous Reality Events or RARE, have taken magic out of fiction and relocated it firmly in reality, resulting in a great deal of chaos and confusion.

Displaced elf Valerian works with AURA, the Agency of Unnatural Resettlement and Assimilation, to intercept these beings as they appear in the human world, helping the peaceful ones and subduing the violent, malevolent ones. It’s good, satisfying work, and Val would be happy if he wasn’t so lonely.

Quinten is a young mage just trying to get by, but New York isn’t the easiest city to make a living in. If his methods are sometimes morally dubious, his heart is still in the right place. Of course, for Quinn, the right place means firmly locked away, protected at all costs. Living by his wits and sometimes magically induced luck, he works as a ‘freelance magic user’, or unregistered mage and small-time con, according to the authorities.

The last thing Quinn wants is to draw the cops’ attention, but when an Event happens right on top of him, he’s forced to turn to AURA for help. Valerian isn’t at all what he’d expected in an AURA cop, and he certainly wasn’t expecting to join forces with the sexy elf, a snarky drow, and a bitter incubus, when certain individuals in power try to stop the RARE by any means necessary.

Things are not all what they seem at AURA headquarters, and a greater evil lurks at the top than anyone could have imagined.

Review: This is book one in the AURA series.
Quinten is a small time con. It’s not the best living but he does what he must to survive. Quinn has not had the easiest life. Becoming the ward of the state at a young age he finally run away. On the streets he met a man who taught him how to pickpocket and use magic.

When Quinn made a mistake, the man turned on him, raped him, and allowed others to do the same for a price. This has led Quinn to keep people out and close himself off.
Valerian is a misplaced elf who was pulled through one of the events. The human world is strange to him and also lonely. But he has made a life for himself as an AURA officer.

When he first meets Quinn, he is immediately drawn to him. However, Quinn and his issues make it hard for Val to get close to him. Than all hell breaks, loose and it’s a matter of finding the will to stay alive.

The push and pull Quinn had going on with Val was annoying at times, but also when it was explained about his past it also becomes more understandable. I really felt bad for Val. He is not human, so many things humans just for granted he just does not understand. However once they do finally get their act together, they are pretty intense and sensual together.

The world that was created is very lush and well described. There are so many amazing beings and creatures. The MCs as well as the secondary characters are well thought out. The story was fast paced and kept my attention. The interactions between all the characters were interesting at times and pretty funny at others.

There was a lot of information given about the people and the world, but it was never too much to take away from the story and bog it down. Something I very much appreciated.

Overall, this was a very entertaining book. I enjoyed the world created and look forward to reading more about it. Since this is billed as a series, I cannot wait for the next book.

Review: Dean lost his brother in the Middle East to an IED. As a way to honor his memory, he becomes pen pals with Ryder who is still serving in the Middle East. As each letter is written and read, they are drawn closer together. After nearly a year, they have fallen in love with each other. However right before Ryder is set to be sent home, he risks his life to save one of his man. Due to this, Ryder loses his leg.

Thinking to spare Dean, Ryder tries to cancel their meeting. But Dean is not about to give up his man.

There are really so many things to love about this book. I am a sucker for soldiers, and the wounded ones always pull my heartstrings. Ryder was no different. Without Dean, he would have fallen deep into depression and PTSD. But Dean won’t let him go that route without a fight. And I love Dean for that. He faced each of Ryder’s insecurities head on. He proved to Ryder that just because he lost a leg he was not less of a man, and he could still do everything he did before, maybe just a little differently.

There was also a very strong supporting cast. Both Mama Beth and Jessie were awesome women that anyone would be lucky to have in their lives. Also Dean’s dog, so cute. The “villain” was an ass, and I was glad when he got his ass kicked.

Two men who have been hurt and lost find each other. They learn to overcome and growing stronger together. Perhaps it was a little sappy in parts, but I don’t care. The writing is top-notch and moves quickly. The MCs are well flushed out and easily connectable to. The sex scenes are more sensual than explicit in my opinion, although pretty descriptive.

All in all, I loved this book. I think this story was awesome and well worth a read.

Review: This is the second book in the Hollywood Hotties series. However, concentrating on a new couple, the previous main characters from book 1 are only briefly mentioned a few times. Also one of the minor characters of book 1 got another brief cameo (for lack of another word) in this too.

Both Cree and Evan are interesting characters, although I think they suffered from lack of development. Or in the case of Evan, he has a sudden epiphany and I felt like there was something missing in between. Neither does he come across as the most likable or relatable or logical type of guy. However, one thing is for sure, both these guys wear masks and it would have been cool if we could have had more into this. Cree acts cold and distant when he is anything but.

Evan, on the other hand, paints everyone involved in Hollywood/movies with the same brush (from past experience). Evan’s hang up is understandable, but the reader simply doesn’t get too many details.

Upon reflection, my issues with the book come down to two factors. One, what I feel to be a lack of explanation of their back stories, and two, everything exploded between these guys in less than a month. I found it hard to quite believe it. If it had been over, say, three or six months, I wouldn’t have so many hang-ups as I do. The latter also feeds into Evan’s family storyline, which is the cause of a majority of the drama.

Despite all that, this is somewhat cute and sweet, just like the first book. However, it wasn’t quite as emotive so that I could drool over the sugar sweetness of the couple. I liked the simple plot, but as you can see from above, I feel that the pace of the book and the time frame in the book took away from my enjoyment when I was hoping to find an enchanting, Cinderella type Hollywood romance.

If you don’t overanalyse plots, like I tend to do, it’s probably even more enjoyable.

Eire is a land of gold and bronze, bought with fire and blood. Yet for thirty years, there has been peace in the name of the High King. Now, his quest for immortality has unleashed Crom Cruach, the bent one, Crooked King of the void.

The faoladh, wolf-protectors of man, have sought to suppress those that would bring Crom Cruach into the world. It is Marcas, one of those wolves, who will confront darkness in the name of duty—and beside him, Connor, prince of Connacht.

Yet the longer Marcas spends at Connor’s side, the more he finds himself wanting Connor for his own, and from the moment Marcas shows himself to Connor as a man, not a wolf, the attraction between them is obvious.

Connor wants just what Marcas wants, if only he can convince him of that in time, but the same question is before each of them, waiting to be answered. Which must they serve—love or duty? For Marcas, the weight of his service may prove too much—a deadly burden. For Connor, only son of a king, even victory may have its price in separation.

Review: Marcas is a guardian wolf bound to his wolf form for seven years, which I found intriguing, as I’ve never read a shifter story where the person couldn’t shift from the beginning. His job is to protect certain humans from an ancient evil, Com Cruach. Conner is one such human thatMarcus is to protect at all costs. Well written.

This book is a good story. However, it is confusing at times. Danger all throughout. Marcas ends up falling for Conner. When his seven years is up and he reverts to human form he is free to be with Conner but his duty is not yet done.
Intense, heart stopping scenes as well as tender moments between Conner and Marcus.

Good versus evil seems to be the theme throughout this story with battles that are bloody and a ritual of sacrifice that lets the evil that confined free to wreak havoc on the world.

Good read.

Review: This little story is about how Trey and Lucien first meet and start a relationship. Lucien is a fan of Trey’s books and goes to a books signing. The attraction they feel for each other is there from the start. Trey is cautious and agrees to meet for coffee at his local coffee-house. From there things get wicked sexy when they get back to Trey’s home. There are minor BDSM themes in this book. But there is a definite kink factor that they both share that was pretty hot.

What I really liked about it was that Lucien took the time to learn the different needs Trey had. Because Trey is blind, he needed touch and voice to feel more comfortable with what was happening. Lucien was turned off that Trey was blind and didn’t really treat him any different.

I look forward t o reading more about Trey and Lucien. I liked both MCs and enjoyed this little story. The two of them are really hot together with a side of sweet.

Could the loping mega-star be his phone-a-friend? And, when they kiss, is Dar ready for the paparazzi and accusations of betrayal by the man who now stars in Dar’s every dream?

Who did Dar fall for? The elusive Ryan Pierce, who can’t be seen with him, or the quiet, gentle man who’s just a phone call away?

Review: This is a great combination of sweet, cute and sexy. It almost makes me wish dialling a wrong number would work out so well for me! Also, it’s not your average Hollywood romance either which make this even better in my mind.

I love Dar, despite not being the Hollywood person in this coupling he is a star to me. Corny, I know, but the man has his principles and he sticks by them. There is nothing worse than a character doing a number of 180-turns that don’t feel natural to the story. In saying that, Ryan is pretty damn awesome too. He’s has to work things out in terms of career vs. personal life, but other than that this is one guy that is full of passion.

When there was some drama and tension, I found myself feeling sorry for Dar and cursing Ryan, who I had come to love at that point. I was pretty grumpy at him. However, I have to say it was great how the entire thing played out. I also to have to say, his rather over dramatic solution made me laugh.

Immensely enjoyable – who doesn’t have fantasies about Hollywood heartthrobs? It’s a well paced romance – I didn’t get bored or frustrated and liked how the “incident” happened then the characters reacted according without too much fuss.

I think the only thing that is unfortunate is that it’s a quick read. The ending was both sweet and hot. I can’t wait to read about the new set of characters in book 2 of Hollywood Hotties.

Vegas is filled with human cast-offs, yet officer Parker McLean sees something special in hustler Slade Wolfgang. Unfortunately, so does Slade’s pimp who wants to sell him overseas in the sex trade.

Hustler Slade Wolfgang has little choice over his fate. At the age of twenty, he’s had to survive any way he can since being thrown out of his home for being gay. As soon as he hit Vegas, Slade was lured into the hopeless world of prostitution where he’s become a virtual prisoner to his pimp, the ruthless Julio Estevez. His evil keeper has even threatened to sell Slade overseas as a sex slave.

It’s another typical night on the Strip when Parker comes across Slade. His heart breaks every time he sees someone so young being exploited. Something in Slade’s eyes tells Parker the young man might be in real trouble though – especially after the recent spate of sex worker killings from a rival prostitution ring.

The two men’s lives become intertwined when Slade is almost beaten to death. The danger grows, but so does the relationship between Parker and Slade. Parker helps Slade to heal from the horrific attack and their bond deepens. But the human traffickers are still out there – and they’re still looking for Slade.

Publisher Advisory: Scenes of violence and a brief scene of sexual abuse. Although part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone.

Blurb: Can a new beginning be found in leather and chains?

Kai Smithson’s life changes dramatically with his first glimpse into the world of BDSM. Completely innocent, Kai can hardly believe his eyes, but he knows what he likes and apparently that’s hot, dominant men in leather. He isn’t sure if he’s a submissive because he doesn’t really know what that means, but the feelings he is experiencing are exciting and new.

Harry Croft, bar manager at The Underground BDSM Club, believes in insta-lust rather than love at first sight. And when he agrees to train Kai, the contract between them has one condition—no sex. But Kai has some very definite plans about losing his virginity and a piece of paper is not going to stand in his way. In his new friends at the club and at The Edge, Kai has a ready-made support group of subs that show him that the only rules in a D/s relationship are those he wants to make for himself.

The old saying that you can choose your friends but not your family is proved horribly true for Kai, as the mysteries of his past are revealed. As he and Harry start out on their journey together, they must contend with bullets as well as bondage, danger alongside domination, and it’s not easy to establish trust when the whole world is going to hell.

Reader Advisory: This book contains characters who have extremely prejudiced views and scenes referencing physical abuse.

Review: Kai is intrigued by the BDSM world upon his first glimpse. He’s also very much attracted to sexy bar manager Harry. Kai seemed liked a very sweet and innocent young man with a mischievous streak in him once he gained some confidence under Harry’s guidance along with help of the other subs. Harry was caring and loving of Kai as the story progressed.rougharoundtheedges_facebook

There were a few intense scenes concerning Kai’s uncle who seemed to hate him with a passion. Not to mention trying to get Kai’s inheritance but fails when he’s killed by some men who want the money and try to Harry hostage to get it.

Very interesting scenes of Harry training Kai in BDSM. Hot sex between the two added spice to this book. Great addition to the Tales from the Edge series.

Highly recommended.

Review: This is book 4 of the southern Charm series but stands alone just fine.

When in bloom is a beautiful romance between two men with handicaps. I loved both of these men and their fight to have a normal life and love. Jude owns the flower shop in town and has type one diabetes and seizures. He is a sweet man and very careful to monitor his health. He meets Elliott when I he is at the clinic to try to see why he is having more problems after getting an insulin pump. Elliott is coming for an interview and is caught in a storm that triggers his PTSD Jude recognizes the symptoms and he and his alert dog comfort Elliott and get him through it.

I loved that this story wasn’t about two perfect men. They both have their issues and still can find love though it is such a challenge. There are a couple twists and a really sad part with one of Elliott’s patients dying of aids. I cried my eyes out. There are lots of sweet yet emotional moments in this book and some fun, sweet and sexy ones as well. I loved getting another peek at Malcomb, too.

My only real issue is it brings up some of the unsolved mysteries from the other books, and there is another mystery connecting the others, that was mentioned then dropped. I am hoping it will all come out in the final book and I hope that’s not too soon, since I love this series.

If you like sweet romance, broken me, handicaps, cute cats and dogs, and some sexy sensual man-sex this is for you!

Blurb: Being a Dom in secret—being mated to another wolf in secret—is something Vann has always done, but now he has the chance to be open about his whole life.

Vann grew up under the rule of an alpha at Crossways Compound, who controlled every aspect of his pack members’ lives. Used to obeying without question, Vann suddenly finds himself in a position where he can make his own decisions outside his sexual relationship. In the past, his trysts with his subby lover, Kip, have been in secret, snatched moments away from security cameras or listening devices. Now they’ve been welcomed at Highgate, a safe haven, life should work out beautifully.

But there’s something Vann has to do first. He has to return to his childhood compound to right the wrongs that were done there. Along with Kip and members of the Highgate security team, Vann has to play the biggest role of his life so far in order to bring down the alpha at Crossways and rescue some cross-bred cubs. It isn’t going to be easy, going against someone he’s been conditioned to obey, but for the sake of his pack and the safety of the cubs, he’ll do whatever it takes.

Kip is determined to be with Vann every step of the way. Usually, Kip is submissive in all aspects of their life, preferring to bow his head and only speak when he’s given permission. But their return to Crossways changes all that. The danger there is too great for Kip to wait for Vann’s instructions on everything he does. Kip knows that to keep Vann safe, he must become more dominant—or die trying.

Review: This book takes place right after the events of the first book. Vann and Kip are on their way to their old compound to help fix things. This compound is where Vann and Kip lived their lives in a prison. They had to do everything that was ordered of them or suffer. They needed to even keep their mating a secret from others as the whole compound was mentored by cameras and listening devices. If they had ever been found out, they most likely both would have been killed.

Because of the fishbowl they lived in, they learned to hide everything from others. They also developed a D/s type of relationship. They are not really able to explore the full aspects of their relationship until now. And boy do they have a hot time with that. The sex scenes were well written and the BDSM was mild in my opinion.

I also liked them because both Vann and Kip were finally able to be free to be themselves and not worry about discovery. Both Vann and Kip have their issues but they deal with them together. They also draw closer to each other. They can be truly open about their wants and needs, something both of them needed to fully start to heal from the way they were forced to live.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read. I really like this series so far. The world the author is building has both similar and unique outlooks on the shifter world. I look forward to more books.

Review: For a short story of less than 100 pages, this book is action packed. The heartbreaking story of a man just coming into his fame as a controversial artist. At his first big show that is a near sell out a man brutally attacks him blinding him. He loses his eyesight, career, and longtime lover.

In a deep depression, he prays that he would do anything to have his eyesight back. What he thinks is an angel comes to him and he deals to get his sight back, finding himself in a sweet, but scary triangle.

I absolutely loved this story, it was heartbreaking and yet sweet as well. I loved the characters. I couldn’t help but fall for the demon, Tur’el. I would love to read Tur’el and Zethan’s story, hint, hint!

If you like Angels, and Demons, sexy Artist’s, angst, and a beautiful love story then you really must read this!

Review: If you like soap operas and would love to read a literary one you don’t need go no further, this is the book for you! I’m going to outright say: this isn’t going to be a long review because me ranting about something or another will probably take away from the melodrama of the entire thing.

Essentially this is the story of Viv and Ray – from their first meeting and their turbulent relationship spanning about two years. If you’re like me you’re probably thinking about Vyvyan Basterd from the British comedy, Young Ones, rest assured his real name is Christopher Vivvens.

As I said, this book is nothing short of a soap opera, and depending on the person, that is a good or a bad thing. And like soap operas, there are so many family members and children! All these not-so-minor characters are wonderful and certainly make for a colourful life, trust me, you’ll be counting off the nine children as you get towards the end as well.

Ray is a good character. However, I would like to know more about this bubbly, sometimes-flighty man who loves being a dad. He is an enjoyable character and has a lot of hidden inner strength. I like Viv, too. It seems as though we are meant to not like him as much, but this is a guy that has been, to put a fine point on it, head fucked. I love Viv as a character. He has a lot going on and a lot of depth.

The only thing I am disappointed about is that I feel his issues have not been dealt with at all – the man has various stalker and harassment issues, and honestly all I could think of was “quick, send the guy to a psychologist, don’t sit back!” Sure, they can be revisited, and undoubtedly will, later on, but I feel that his experience was glossed over and not given the right about of emphasis for the severity of what does happen.

As with any good soapie, we are left with a cliffhanger. Part of me questions the necessity of the possibilities such a cliffhanger brings, but the other part of me has faith in the author for book 2 of this series, when it comes out.

To try to frame this book in pop culture, I’m going to say it’s a bit Brady Bunch with a bit of Friends with a splash of Pride and Prejudice. Strange as the latter may seem, if you don’t believe me, read it.

Review: This is a sexy and sweet Christmas story. Although I have to admit that the idea of calling in a chimney sweet is a positively Victorian idea, doesn’t help that the story is set in England. Hell, even my phrasing just now was Victorian. Luckily, I didn’t go as far as Mary Poppins and allow this to turn me off from the story.

This is more of an encounter or a fantasy that happens to have a happily ever after. Dare I say it, but this is more of a hot Christmas romp while one of the main characters gets his mind and his life together. Dominic is newly divorced after his wife left him for fantasizing about another man.

This bit of plot is saved by the fact that Dominic actually says something to the effect of his wife using his attraction to another man as an excuse. The object of his affection is the man that he only sees once a year, the chimney sweep who cleans his flue pipes, Reagan. One cold and snow filled Christmas Day, as well as Dominic drinking on Christmas Eve after Reagan came for his job, gives the couple a chance at a very hot time together.

This story is all about the encounter between Dominic and Reagan. I like to think that we are given hope for a happily ever after. This enjoyable, quick read has been well written. Being that this is short and that it is more about the moment, there isn’t much more to the characters than at face value.

Review: I really enjoyed reading about Brandon, Evan, and Griff. They all seemed to have the perfect chemistry when they got together. Evan is a heart transplant recipient who’s as sweet as he can be, Griff is a gruff, snarky hunk of a man, and Brandon is a doctor who is looking for love.

Such a sweet passionate story of two men in a solid relationship finding their third that completes them. Off course as always theirs doubts and drama along the way. Lots of flirting and scheming for this to happen. Wonderfully written with great details and hot, steamy sex between the three.

Fantastic read.
