Sloot is the XP30 assigned to Eric. He’s no ordinary android. His creator tinkered with him and gave him the ability to love. That isn’t anything Eric wants in a sexbot, and he almost sends Sloot back when he finds out.

But as time passes, they grow closer and closer and it becomes obvious that Sloot and Eric are two halves of a whole.

Review: Eric is having trouble moving on since his last relationship ended so his friends get him an android named Sloot. Eric however does not want to jump into bed right away he’d rather get to know Sloot first.

Sloot is a sex android. The surprising about him was that he has feelings and dreams of being with someone who will treat him right rather than use him like men have done in the past. I loved the interactions between these two. They were endearing and sweet yet thoughtful and considerate of one another.

I especially loved the way Eric protected Sloot. It was an awesome story that was well written with plenty of hot scenes and warm interactions to keep the reader interested.

I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series.

Review: Each book in the Blue Moon Wolves collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

I have read many stories over the years both contemporary and paranormal, but I must say that I think paranormal stories will always be my favorite. And with favorite stories, you have favorite authors that will entertain you and keep you begging for more worlds in this story and the previous are unique and very detailed. They keep your attention throughout the whole book. I also love the fact that they can get pregnant.

Omegas are the only ones, other than females that can get pregnant. They are indeed very special but it makes them prime meat for stronger wolves. Rob is an omega and his father is an ass. His father is a gambling fool, who decided to sell his son to bear shifters to get rid of his debt. Rob would rather die, but it seems that fate has been looking out for him.

Colton is a gamma wolf, sent by his alpha to make a deal with the bears. He had not expected to find his mate. Nor had he expected to find out that Rob’s father had sold him to the bears. It might cost him his own pack, but he is not going to let his mate get hurt. He will protect him even if it means losing what he has.

This is an action pact and danger filled story where love finds away. Now I must admit that this story doesn’t flow perfectly for me, and it seemed to be missing something to make it do so. However it didn’t really take away from the story itself. I enjoyed reading this and look forward to the next one.

Blurb: Kieran Quinn is a bit telepathic, a little psychokinetic, and very gay—three things that have gotten him through life perfectly well so far—but when self-styled prophet Wyatt Jackson arrives during Pride Week, things take a violent turn.

Kieran’s powers are somewhat underwhelming but do have a habit of refracting light into spectacular rainbows for him to hide behind. Even so, it’s not long before Kieran is struggling to maintain his own anonymity while battling wits with a handsome cop, getting some flirting in with a hunky leather man, saving some drag queens, and escaping the worst blind date in history. It’s enough to make a fledgling hero want to give up before he even begins.

One thing’s for sure: saving the day has never been so fabulous.

Review: ‘Nathan Burgoine is a brand new author for me and let me tell you that this story rocked. At first I wasn’t too sure if I wanted to even try it, the title is a bit off until I realized what it meant. Then I found out that it was fantasy and paranormal, well let’s just say I grabbed it up. The cover was a bit freaky but then again it was perfect for this story.

I have always loved telepathy and telekinesis stories. I mean who wouldn’t want those types of gifts. To hear people’s thoughts and to move things around would be so much damn fun. Then again I am old and would love to have been able to just grab a soda from the fridge without getting off the couch. Nathan gave me a story that is entertaining and full of depth, not to mention the details. It felt like I was right there with them during it all.

This story kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole story. Kieran had been ten years old when his mother was dying from cancer and he was given his gifts. He had just watched a man who had telekinesis, get killed on television. There was music and bam he was out like a light. When he woke up, he found himself with a few little gifts that he used to help those around him.

He was looking forward to Pride weekend that is until he found out that Wyatt Jackson was going to be there. Wyatt was a so called prophet who heard voices telling him violence was the answer to getting rid of the sinners. Talk about delusional. However he managed to save a very sexy leather man and things were looking up for them both. Sebastian was about to find out he had some secrets of his own, secrets that he didn’t know he had. Now all they had to do is to stop the crazy man causing trouble.

This was an amazing story that had me reading it more than once. I had a lot of fun with it and would definitely recommend it.

Blurb: A fight to the death against his former master turns into a chance for Rafael, an assassin denied the immortality he lived to achieve, to learn the shocking truth about the fate he was spared.

Rafael wanted nothing more than to serve his immortal master, Xian, a High One of Clare, who taught him from an early age how to be an assassin. But after failing the final test, Rafael was turned out into the Lower City, abandoned by the one person he thought he could count on.

Years of hatred and thoughts of revenge have fueled Rafael’s quest for vengeance, but when the time comes to strike at Xian, he hesitates and is taken prisoner. Rafael expects to die, either at Xian’s hand or at the hand of Myrtea, his sadistic mistress.

Instead Xian heals him, spares him a brutal interrogation and tells him the dark truth driving the ruthlessness of the High Ones—the source of their immortality is spent. Soon the city will devolve into chaos as High Ones battle one another and the rebelling denizens of the Lower City for power and resources. Xian wants to spare Rafael that pain, just as he spared him the pain of becoming a High One a decade earlier.

Their only chance for survival is to escape Clare before civil war breaks out. Even if they make it out of the city, though, there’s no guarantee that Xian will live through the agonizing process of becoming human again. The only ones they can rely on are each other…if Rafael can bring himself to once again trust his former master, the only man he’s ever loved.

Reader Advisory: This book contains mentions of blood-drinking, blood magic, blood-play, knife-play, addiction and withdrawal, as well as flogging and whipping. This book also refers to pain and blood-play as coping mechanisms.

Review: Rafeal has been working toward one goal: becoming a high one. He is devastated to learn he failed the final test and even more so when his master and the man he looked up to, Xian, casts him out. He falls back into the one thing he was good at, an assassin.

Revenge motivated Rafeal meets Xian again and instead of killing him is taken prisoner. Xian finally explains his reasons for failing him and also informs him of the dark secrets of the high ones. Intent on escaping the battle coming between the high ones and the lowers Xian and Rafeal plan to leave.

This book is full of great scenes both suspenseful and thoughtful. I loved how the story played out. It was an amazing journey. Xian and Rafeal, despite the rough beginning once they found each other again, were great together in their bid to survive.

Highly recommended.

David, Renewed

Diana Copland

When interior designer David Snyder buys a beautiful century-old house in eastern Washington, he is reeling with heartbreak and looking for somewhere to put down roots. Unfortunately his new home comes with a laundry list of problems: electrical, plumbing, heating… things David knows nothing about. When his mother offers him the business card of a local handyman, David pictures an overweight, balding man in his fifties. But Jackson Henry couldn’t be further from that stereotype.

Dark-haired, muscular, and handsome, Jackson left a large construction firm in Seattle to take care of his sick mother. However, his hometown still has an active “good old boy” network, and finding employment in construction is almost impossible for an openly gay man. Determined to persevere, Jackson takes odd jobs as a handyman. He’s exactly what David needs—in more ways than one.

David isn’t ready for his attraction to Jackson, not considering the way his last relationship ended. But as the two men get to know each other, it becomes clear that the heart often knows best, and it rewards those willing to listen.

Review: This book was previously released elsewhere. It has been re-edited for re-release with Pride Publishing. I found out that someone I think highly of had read this when it first came out, and that if she loved it, then I knew it would be hot. I was not let down at all. It is short, sexy and very hot. The cover knocked it out of the ball park; I mean the guy is gorgeous. Then you have the title and it shows a little more heat. I looked at the blurb and it was sold.

A one night stand might have been fun, if the guys were not so tuned to each other. It would seem that they want each other for more than just one night. I felt bad for them both though. One lived in Chicago and the other in Miami. It makes one think a one night stand is a terrible idea.

I loved this book and can’t wait to see what other stories this amazing author has out. It shows what each other feels. I never thought long distance romance was a good thing to begin with, then these two get together a second time. It just makes it harder for each to decide what they truly want. It is hot and very sexy; to see these two get together. It makes ones heart feel so much, to know what they feel for each other and their decisions.

I would definitely recommend this book to my friends. It is a lot of depth and details put into a short story. I was amazed with it.

Review: This is the fifth book in the shadow play series. Will is given a mission to is dangerous as he tries to put an end to assassinations. In the face of losing his business he wants at least one good mission.

Ingonico has his fingers in a lot of unsavory things regarding a vicious feud with M16. These two men are past lovers and find themselves torn between their duty ad desires for one another. It is a game of cat and mouse as they both struggle to juggle both without letting on to others.

Although this book can be read as a standalone it would be better to read each book in order as everything in not revealed in each book. You get a better understanding into characters and unanswered questions the further you read the series. It was an o.k. read.

Review: Adam has a crush on a certain professor, so much so that he had stolen the man’s picture. Too bad his boss noticed it gone, sent to get another picture from the man leads him into some steamy sex. Wildblood never noticed him, until he walked into his class and now won’t leave him alone.

Now we have a very short and cute, steamy and some hot sex in this story. It was funny as hell but I just didn’t connect with it. Other than the guy liked the guy, stole his picture, gets notice and hot sex, there really doesn’t seem to be a major plot. It came off more like porn then a true story, which was a very big flop for me. It had potential but didn’t come out.

I am afraid that this was one story that was not for me.

Review: This story was quite a surprise for me. I had not expected to have so much story in such a short story. The characters were a blast and the story was so fully detailed that it felt like I was right there with them. Although the blurb does kind of give the story away in spots.

Alex is falling in love with his sexy handyman. Things are going pretty good, till he is told that the Fernando brothers are his neighbors number one suspects in the burglaries going on in the neighborhood. He doubts someone that he is falling in love with, and it might just cost him everything.

Now I must admit that if I was Michael I would dump his ass. However it made them more believable to me. I loved the crazy ass neighbors and the bit of mystery that this story gave me.

This is a fun little story perfect for when you are taking a break.

Review: This is the fifth book in the borders war series. I am sitting here trying to put into words how I feel about this book. I feel raw emotionally for sure. This whole series was a rollercoaster ride that I feel honored to have read.

Merq finds himself feelings things for others instead of being a cold blooded killer. I loved reading how he changed into what he is now as it was no easy adjustment. Armise and Merq’s journey is not an easy one to find happiness. Just when you think they finally find it something else happens to rip it away.

This is the best book in the series as it reveals the secrets that were never answered in the first 4 books. There are twists throughout that leave you spellbound and stunned. This book totally wrecked me. I was crying by the time I was done reading it, and trust me I don’t normally cry while reading a book. Such an amazing journey of two men who started out as enemies and came together despite all the odds.

Truy and utterly a fantastic read. I highly recommend it.

Review: This is the third book in the borders war series and boy does it pack a punch. In this book Merq is torn between loyalties when chaos reigns in the revolution. He goes through some changes as the story unfolds amid betrayal, deceit and some major twists that leave the reader on the edge of their seat awaiting the outcome.

This book spans years not days. So with that being said I loved how the author wrote this book. It has everything, danger, action, romance, and some mind-blowing twists that left me gasping.

Every time I read the next book in this series I am awed by how well written and thought provoking each book is that it draws the reader in its grasp and doesn’t let go until the very end. The plot was awesome, the characters mesmerizing to the point that I could not stop reading.

Highly, highly recommended.

Her stories have a serious tone to them but there is a hint of humor that make it a lot more fun for me to love. I have read a few stories by Diana and have put her on my automatic buy list. So when I got this story, I was not disappointed at all.

The title is what caught my attention first, and then the sexy cover was next. When I read the blurb I knew I had to read it. Like I said I was not disappointed at all. Seven years is a long time to be without the one you love. Jayden had watched Nash leave and felt his heart go with him. Nash had spent his life wanting the future he planned for and he jumped at the chance. As with many relationships, time changes things for them.

Now seven years has gone past, Jayden wants Nash to let him back in. They went seven years with no word from each other, which make it a bit harder for him. He has shown so much strength in the time. Nash has grown up in his way also, and he wants the life he should have had with Jayden.

I would definitely recommend reading this story but only after you read the first one. Otherwise you might get a bit lost. I was happy to have this ending and look forward to hearing more about them in the future.

I had a blast with it and can’t wait to read another story by this amazing author.

Review: Each book in the Sunset Club collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading this series in sequential order.

I haven’t had a chance to read many stories by this author but I was impressed with the worlds she creates. I am afraid that I started reading this one without reading the others first, so I was a bit behind on who the characters were. Which is why I would strongly suggest reading these in sequential order. Now for me I am afraid that I didn’t enjoy this story as much as I should have. The characters were a hit for me; I loved Gray and Enzo quite a bit. However there was just something to the way it was told that didn’t do it for me.

Enzo is a very wealthy man who comes from a family that is full of love and wonder. However when it comes to men, he isn’t sure if they are there for him or his money. When he started coming to Sunset, he notices Grayson right off the bat. However Mike had informed him that Gray was taken. It wasn’t until later that Enzo realizes Mike was playing him for a fool.

Gray has had a hard life since he was in his teens. His father had left them and his mother was dying from leukemia. He spent his time working his ass off and caring for his mother. However it didn’t mean he didn’t notice Enzo right off the bat. Too bad Enzo did not seem to even notice him. He noticed many things about Mike that Enzo needed to know but he feared his reaction to the news. Thank god a few of the guys noticed the trouble also.

Grayson figured he was named perfect, someone no one would ever notice. Whereas Enzo was what everyone would want, but had no clue if it was for him or his money. Now the problem is they were both too scared to approach each other, then all of a sudden the truth comes out and they are together.

There really doesn’t seem to be that much heat in the story and the romance was a bit dry for me. The story was also not as fluid or flowing at the right pace. I have to admit that the story did not catch my attention like it should have. It jumped from one point to the next way too much. Even the crime of stealing was a bit off. There was no passion in this story which was a drag for me.

The story had great potential however for me it did a flop. You get a great set of characters in the beginning to lead you into this story, however it was not needed. It made it a bit slow for me, which was the exact opposite of what it should have. You don’t see the main guys until a few pages into the story. It seemed to focus on everyone other than our sexy men. I also got tired of hearing about Mike so many times. It felt rushed and just a bunch of stuff added in to make the book longer. If all the added nonsense was taken out and possibly shortened the story, then it would be a hit.

Overall the story is very cute and charming, but it failed to catch my attention. It won’t stop me from reading the other stories though, just to see what they are like. However I am afraid that this story might have blown the chances of the other books being different. I guess I will just have to check them out though.

I gave this book a higher rating then I would normally because it has great potential, and I feel that the author can do better with her next story. She definitely has a gift.

Kenzie is a talented graffiti artist with a secret identity, known only by his tag, a pair of handcuffs. He spray-paints a BDSM scene on a wall at the side of Steele’s workshop, hoping Steele will see the security footage and track him down. However, Steele is working late and catches him in the act.

Steele recognizes Kenzie from the club and demands twenty-four hours of sexual slavery as penance for the graffiti. Kenzie has no choice but to agree and soon discovers that being Steele’s sub will either make him or break him.

Review: Submissive Kenzie has wanted Dom Steele for a while now but Steele ignores him. Kenzie decides to take drastic measures to get the sexy Steele’ attention. What he does not know is that Steele has already noticed and plans to make Kenzie his.

I liked everything about this story from how confidant Steele was to Kenzie insecurities and frustration. However I did not understand why Steele did not let Kenzie know in some way he was interested. I mean Kenzie could have easily been with someone else because he did not know the Dom was interested in him.

Short but hot and sexy read.

Review: You never really see to many lion shifters these days, so the idea of this series was really good. I though the main characters and Nora were pretty well developed, although the secondary characters left a bit to be desired. I also love a good paranormal romance story that has murder, kidnapping and so forth. It makes it quite interesting than the normal romance one sometimes gets these days.

Mason is a sexy man who just happens to write some pretty good horror stories. He is getting tired of the same routine though and needs a long rest. So when his editor comes up with a trip for them all, he is somewhat excited and somewhat leery. Here he is going to a beautiful country with a wonderful sight. The best sight for him though is the owner of the hotel.

Xavi is a lion shifter who loves his home and his hotel. He is not a fan of visitors from other countries though. However it would seem that his mate just happens to be the author he is putting up. To his surprise his mate is also human. What would seem like a good plan to romance his mate has turned into danger. It begins with murder and then leads to having his mate kidnapped.

Now I love a good murder mystery added into a romance story, but this one fell flat. I knew who the murderer was before I even made it half way into the story. Also it starts off totally rocking, but then it seemed like the author just rushed the rest of the story. Most of the secondary characters were a bit dull and did nothing for the story at all. Then there was Mason and Xavi, their relationship seemed dull, forced and did not flow like it should.

Also the fact that Xavi was a lion shifter but he did not act like one at all. There was no strength behind him and he seemed more omega then anything. I had hoped for a good, fierce lion shifter who saves his mate, what I got was a dud it would seem.

Now this story had great potential but the follow thru felt off. The mystery would have been better if there had been more to it. The romance and mating was off as well. The whole story just came off wrong. I am sorry but this one was definitely not for me.
