Blurb: After losing it all, Dresden is forced to move in with his uncle—a man who makes it very clear that he doesn’t want Dresden and his son there in the first place. With a two-year-old son to take care of, Dresden is increasingly desperate to move out of the drug-infested trailer park his uncle resides in. When he finds out his uncle’s dirty little secret, he must grab his son and run.

Being one of the partners of the Triple-B ranch and half owner of the Ugly Broad Saloon, Harland Macy tries to lead a simple life in Bear County. That is until he meets Dresden. What started out as simple fascination turns into a fantasy come to life. When he discovers that Dresden is not only his mate, but can conceive his child, Harland must find a way to stop Dresden’s troublesome uncle from destroying the life Harland so desperately yearns for.

Review: This is book one in this amazing new series. Trust me you will love it and fall in love with each character. I have always loved Lynn’s stories and she has given me a new one for my library. Dresden had been in a relationship with an attorney that turned really bad. One that cost him almost everything he had, except for his sweet two-year-old son. He had been forced to move back with his uncle Stork.A man that treated him horribly. He was a bit scared of him also. Especially after meeting Harland.

Harland was a bear shifter and he thinks he has met his mate. The only true way to know would be when he had sex with Dresden, Dresden would become pregnant. Now can you imagine the expression Dresden had when he found out that little tidbit? I have always loved paranormals, and am excited when men can become pregnant. Seems like a payback for women.

Harland will do everything in his power to keep Dresden safe. However when Stork is murdered Harland is the number one suspect. Especially when Dresden’s ex sabotage all of the files. I loved this book and cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in this series. This story has everything you would want in a story. Hot and sexy men, men getting pregnant, bear shifters, the paranormal world, and lots of laughter, danger, and excitement.

You will laugh pretty much through most of the book. It has such humor in it. I love how they all react to the pregnancy and when it is time to deliver. Although I have to admit, I wonder how he has the baby. I am glad to have found this new amazing series. I loved it.

Blurb: The Anax, ruler of all werewolves in the United States, is bent on controlling the werewolf world, and only Tobias Rogan is strong enough to stop him.

Tobias Rogan never wanted to rule anyone, but in the past several months has gone from quietly running the smallest pack in the U.S. to controlling the Northeast Region. And now, to save the werewolf world, he must challenge the Anax, ruler of all werewolves in the United States. But Tobias’s mate, Kyle Slidell, is being held as blackmail, and Tobias must choose: Issue his challenge and risk Kyle’s life, or allow the Anax to declare war.

Review: This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Tobias somehow found himself ruling the Northeast Region of the werewolves in the U.S.; it’s a role he never wanted but to keep the werewolves safe he accepted the position. Now Tobias knows he will have to step up again as it becomes clearer that the Anax of the U.S. is losing his grip and becoming dangerous, but the Anax has no intention of letting his position go and Tobias is facing the toughest decision yet. Kyle acted to defend Tobias but the Anax holds Kyle’s fate in his hands and gives Tobias a choice, back down and Kyle lives or challenge and Kyle dies.

You know when I first started reading this series I had no idea what would await me at the end of the series. With a series title of Real Werewolves Don’t Eat Meat, I expected a light fluffy series but I got a very pleasant surprise as the threads of each story came together to give us something that has a strong foundation and gives us excitement, conflict, great characters, and a great conclusion. Tempeh for Two brings an end to the unrest within this werewolf world with Tobias and Kyle proving to be an incredible couple that can handle anything thrown their way.

So in this story we finally see what depths the Anax will go to trying to keep his hold over the wolves, his sneak attacks, his silent threats and his blatant threats, we also see his complete disregard for all the wolves and the insanity that makes him cause strife. Kyle and Tobias find themselves in an unpleasant position when Kyle protects Tobias, having to stick to pack rules might now even help them when the Anax has his own plans. I have to say the Anax is really insane, but he puts a very good face on being sane but his actions speak for themselves.

Tobias and Kyle are still the same couple we have always known, totally in love with each other and Tobias still hating having to lead so many wolves but the strain has some effects on them and it speaks of their strength as a couple that they don’t let it pull them apart. This isn’t really a story that you can just pick up and read. It’s a story that has connections to every story that came before it, so it really does need to be read in order. You won’t be sorry though because this really is a very enjoyable series.

I recommend this to those who love shifters, conflict, and strife being resolved, brilliant characters, and an incredible ending.

Blurb: Trying to jumpstart his waning career in travel and nature journalism, Jim Faulkner jumps out of a plane in the middle of the night to get the inside scoop on werewolves in Connor’s Crossing, Wyoming. Unfortunately, he lands in a tree and gets stuck. His rescuer is a mysterious and solitary man living in a cabin in the woods. Although Jim feels an odd connection to Dakotah, Dak’s silence is all but hostile.

Jim won’t give up though—he finds ways to be around Dak, both for the bond and his belief that Dak is a great source for wilderness information. As Dak continues to dismiss him, Jim is suddenly surrounded by progenitors—the most powerful werewolves in existence—who all seem to want Jim as their mate. After one abducts him, Jim has to fight for his freedom and for his one true mate. No matter how reluctant said mate is.

Review: This story is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Jim is a nature journalist looking for one more story before he gets to old, looking for werewolves in Wyoming seems like the story to hunt but landing in a tree is not his idea of fun but being rescued by a sexy man is. Dax is much more than just a werewolf he is a progenitor, one of the originals who created the werewolves and after many years alone he has no intention of mating again but when Jim lands in trouble Dax has a choice to make, accepting Jim as his mate or turn his back and let someone else snatch him up.

This is a great addition to the Lifting the Veil series and is loosely connected to both The Wolfing Way and Hunter’s Moon. When Jim first meets Dax, he only has one thing on his mind and that is his story about werewolves, but it isn’t long before he feels drawn to Dax and begins to fight tooth and nail to get Dax to pay attention to him. Dax isn’t an easy man to live with each of his mates has been dissatisfied and eventually left him, so Dax would rather be alone but Jim gets under his skin and unless Dax opens his heart he could just lose Jim for good. Jim is Dax’s mate but he soon discovers that the progenitors have a different set of mating rules and if Dax doesn’t claim him one of the others will, whether he wants to or not.

This story is well written and flows wonderfully. There’s drama that blends in well and all the characters make the story come to life. I quite liked this story and found it interesting as more was revealed about the werewolves, the idea of the progenitors and their matings adds a new view to werewolves and stubborn progenitors leads to some excitement as well. We meet other progenitors other than Dax and it would be interesting to see their stories in the future. Jim’s forgiving nature was a blessing for Dax when he finally pulls his head out of his ass, but damn Dax was annoying in his stubbornness. Jim and Dax do make a great couple and they are super-hot together when they finally work things out.

I recommend this to those who love fantasy and paranormal, a new twist with werewolves, difficult relationships, fighting for what you want and overcoming obstacles for love.

Review: Luc Walker has lived his life trying to convince everyone he is not this entitled rich kid that everyone thinks he is, as soon as they hear his last name. He works for his father, yes, but he works hard at his father’s insistence. So when he meets the sexy cowboy that has come to his dad’s office to do some business, he’s immediately taken with the big man and sets out to see if the attraction could be mutual.

The two share a very passionate night and Luc is ready to walk away and chalk it up to a one nighter, but Quinn convinces him they should get to know each other and give each other a chance. But, as the threat of Quinn finding out who Luc really is looms closer, Luc breaks off all contact for fear that it’s inevitable anyways. Luc finds himself desperate to do anything to convince Quinn to give him another chance when his worst fear is realized.

These two guys are about to learn that an intense, immediate attraction and smoking hot sex aren’t the only elements of a relationship they need to master in order to be together. Definitely short and steamy, and I’m not sure that a lack of communication is the issue because Luc just flat out doesn’t tell Quinn who is. First Quinn has to get past that, which builds a trust issue from the start. The story itself is really well written though. Buffett lengthens the time frame of the story by mentioning the passing of time here and there, so the reader knows that these two have actually known each other a while, not just the 30 something pages we are reading. There were a few hiccups in the story and it didn’t flow quite as well as I like, but overall, it was a pretty sexy read that will eat up your lunch hour and allow you to skip all those extra calories while reading!

Review: Man Candy is a great story about two people who are trying to find their way in life. Brent is a war photographer that almost got blown up at his last assignment and doesn’t know if he can return to his work. Alex is a college student and stripper/candy shop worker that still depends on his parents help and support so he is scared to tell them that he is gay. The two originally meet at the strip club where Alex works. Brent is immediately intrigued by the younger man, while Alex is drawn the dominate presence of Brent. The two share a moment together and then part ways never expecting to see each other again.

When Brent goes to Putnam on vacation to recover from his last assignment he sees Alex working in the candy shop. From that moment on the two are headed down a path that neither of them can escape. Both are equally drawn to each other and they develop a lover/friend relationship when Alex decides that he wants Brent to be the one to “pop his cherry.” Brent shows Alex how to be a sub to his Dom and how to take and give pleasure. Throughout this time, they also help take care of each other showing how much they truly feel about each other. Alex helped take care of Brent through his migraine and talk to him about his future as a war photographer. Brent helped Alex with his parents reaction to his being gay.

I liked this story because you really felt like the characters really cared about each other. What was to start out as a fling grew into something more. The trust that Alex immediately gave to Brent and how much Brent couldn’t stay away from Alex helped show their true feelings. They were constantly looking out for each other. Overall, it was a good quick read that kept you interested on what was going to happen between the two.

Review: Miki St.John is a recluse that rarely leaves his house. He even orders in his groceries. After the death of his three band mates, including his best friend Damien, in a car accident he has withdrawn from society. Living in the huge remodeled warehouse that he and Damien bought before their last tour and had renovated, he hides from the world. Until a serial killer, a stray dog, and a sexy Irish detective that just won’t go away and leave Miki to wallow in his self-misery come along, and turn his world upside down.

Kane Morgan is an openly gay, successful inspector with the SFPD in spite of his sexuality. No one cares! The second oldest of eight children, he comes from a long line of cops. Half the Morgan clan work for the police dept, as did their father and his father. ONE brother is a fireman, the black sheep they call him. His Irish roots and his family are extremely important to him. They are ingrained in him and make him the man he is. The only thing he’s been missing for a while now is someone to love. Then he meets his small, but boisterous neighbor and is immediately drawn into those gold/green eyes that smolder when the young man is angry or defiant. Which is most of the time.

While Kane dances around Miki’s troubling past, constant nightmares, and a killer that is probably coming after Miki… he starts to fall in love with the broken man. He doesn’t just want to protect Miki, he wants to help him heal and show him that it is possible to love and be loved without pain. There are so many obstacles in the way of their happy ever after. Miki misses his best friend something fierce and blames himself a lot for the accident, that coupled with the scars he carries both mentally and physically make it difficult for him to open up and trust anyone. Seriously, it’s as if Kane has to wade through a minefield every time he tries to get close to the young man.

Kane works his way under Miki’s skin a while getting on his last good nerve. Just when you think these two may actually be able to love each other and not kill each other, you are reminded of the killer that is stalking Miki’s every move and leaving body parts on his front porch in a Wal-Mart sack!

This is a very dark story about sins of the past and the inability to bury them. Murder, mystery, intrigue, and suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. But then you have this magnetic love story building between Kane and Miki, polar opposites that with one goal in mind. Loving and protecting each other. Kane is large and in charge and refuses to allow Miki to hide from him or push him away. Miki’s dry and often self-deprecating sense of humor adds some comic relief to this otherwise very dark and serious storyline. And when these two finally succumb to the attraction, it is erotic, explicit, detailed, and perfect.

I’m so happy I found these books and I’m off to start the next one immediately. If you are a fan of murder, mystery, and mayhem with some passionate guys tying a big bow around it, then this is a book for you. Narrated by Tristan James and he nails every intricacy of the Irish family clans various accents and nuances superbly. And there is this wounded animal aspect to Miki that comes across with such rawness in his voice, that it will almost make you cry. Love the storyline, characters, and narration!!

Clouded by doubt, Sam continues to search for answers as tapestries of crimes begin to unravel and powers beyond his imagination are unleashed. Review: This story is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. Private Investigator Sam is surprised when he receives a letter hiring him to investigate a suicide because the person hiring him is the one who died. As he digs into the circumstances of Mo’s death, he discovers the secrets of those set to inherit Mo’s fortune, but what worries him most is his own lover, Rex Ford, is named in the will. Sam finds himself dealing with more paranormals than he ever expected, and just what do they have to do with Mo’s death?

First, let me say that I love this series, each book is different from the one before, and you never know just what sort of paranormals you will come across. Sam and his lover Ford have been together for five years ever since Ford awoke after being shot, but as Sam investigates his new case he discovers something he could never have imagined. The investigation has Sam delving into the family of child genius Mo Chase, Mo was plagued with devastation from an early age with the death of his parents and then the loss of his twin brother and Sam discovers someone is using it as a ploy for Mo’s death.

We are given a solid background of Sam and Ford’s relationship but the story isn’t centered on them, it focuses on Sam’s investigation and his discoveries but that doesn’t mean we don’t get to see plenty of action between the two men because we do and they are HOT! Following Sam as he puts together the flimsy clues he discovers is interesting and we see how Ford has some explaining to do, but their relationship is strong and Sam can’t really complain as he got the man he really deserved.

I really enjoyed this story especially the twist near the end, I love how we are introduced to more paranormals who were revealed after the Veil fell, and not just the normal paranormals like shifters or magic users. Each story brings a new set of paranormals. And in this one, we are introduced to the Gods of old. I can’t wait to see what paranormal we get to see in the next Lifting the Veil story.

I recommend this to those who love paranormal stories, private detectives solving mysteries, great characters and a great storyline, twists that surprise and a very happy ending.

Blurb: Smith Devonshire is heir to his father’s international shipping company. That is, he will be if he meets all the demands of the Will. As a gay man too long denied the ability to live his true life, Smith must bury his emotions and do whatever he can to take control of the company. While marrying a good friend in need of a green card was easy, fathering a child without medical intervention might just destroy our man Smith.

Lucky for him, the Narsoreal Bru de Bartina who suddenly bonds with Smith holds the key to unlocking everything Smith has ever longed for or needed. Smith just has to accept.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: This is a spin-off short story from THE UNWANTED series featuring Smith Devonshire, the last john Renzo had in his story, RENZO’S REDEMPTION

Review: We were first introduced to Smith in Renzo’s Redemption when Renzo went on his last call for the husband and wife that required a little… assistance to reach their goal. You see, Smith is a gay man living a lie. His father’s will had a lot of stipulations Smith had to complete in order to maintain control of his family’s company. Including getting married and producing an heir. The ONE thing that his homophobic father didn’t do when attempting to ruin his son’s life from the grave, make the stipulation in the will that Smith actually be married to a woman in order to complete his task.

On a walk to clear his head, Smith ends up in a part of town he’s not familiar with having walked a little farther while lost in thought. He runs into, literally, a Nasoreal. The Nasoreal are the alien race that has come to earth because their own planet would not allow same-sex mating, so all their LGBT people fled to earth in hopes to find their mate and share their knowledge with our government in exchange for this privilege.

Bru de Bartina knows Smith is his mate as soon as they lock eyes. The Nasoreal are a very unique and visual race, they know their mate by the connection they feel to them, and their eyes, the way they are able to see inside each other through them. Smith is taken aback, but he feels so comfortable with Bru that he opens up to him and tells him the weight he bears from his late father. The Naoreal have changed their body type before to please their mates, can Bru adjust to be the male soul mate lover that Smith desires, while also being able to bear children? Something Smith not only wants, but also must do to complete the terms of the will.

My favorite aspect to the novels aside from the dystopian sci-fi is the eyes are the window to the soul. I love that is how the Nasoreal know exactly who their mate is. As usual, this book is quirky, sexy, erotic, and very different from any other stories out there, plot, and character wise. But all the books set in this world are. If you were looking for something outside of the norm and like the stories that hit every spectrum of the LGBTQ personalities, this would be the perfect series for you. Read them in order though, or you won’t understand the Nasoreal.

Blurb: Aaron Costa’s summer was all planned. Despite having to remodel the family lake house, it would be a vacation of sorts, and he had every intention of enjoying it—until the friend who was supposed to help him got injured and left him in a lurch. He decides to take the opportunity to bond with his son and hires Julian and his roommate, Malachi, to assist.

As a broke college student, Malachi could use the money, and spending the summer with Aaron for eye candy sounds like a dream. “Look but don’t touch” becomes his motto. But when Julian starts flaking on his responsibilities and Malachi and Aaron are forced to spend long hours alone together, their mutual attraction is impossible to resist.
Aaron can’t fight the temptation sexy Malachi presents.

But more than their age difference stands in their way, not the least of which is Aaron’s semi-closeted status and the fact that he’s never openly discussed his sexuality with his son. He has no idea how Julian will react when he learns his father is not only gay, he’s also dating his best friend.

Review: Yummy, amazing, and sexy as hell are three words I would use to describe this novella. Powerful, emotional, and fun are another three. Honestly, this is one of those books that is so worth it. Piper Vaughn is a new author and knows what she is doing.
Aaron has it all figured out. He has a plan to get a house remodelled in time for a sale in August. But when Malachi comes around willing to do some work to help out, Aaron finds himself consumed and distracted by Malachi’s beauty. A story that is worth the read and amazing as ever, this novella is one for the perfect reads list.

Aaron has his flaws and stands strong no matter what. Malachi is one of those men that doesn’t give up on what he wants when he wants it. And he wants Aaron. A story of understanding, construction, and some hot sex, this is a worthwhile read. I highly recommend it to those that want to have a nice good read. It takes place during the summer but it is perfect for any time of year.

Go on out and get a copy. You won’t regret it at all.

Theo is everything Hugh is not-a man of physical perfection and easy yet distinguished address. Surprisingly to Hugh, Theo appears to be interested in making his acquaintance. Lindsay turns out to be a most convivial companion, and Hugh finds great pleasure in his company. Their friendship deepens when they become lovers.

In spite of himself, Hugh falls desperately in love. But when a French spy is suspected at Horse Guards, Hugh discovers nothing is as it seems.and the paper he shuffles from day to day could be the instrument of his lover’s death.

Luc understands later that afternoon when he rolls his motorcycle to a stop in front of a fellow shifter’s home and discovers that the shifter’s cousin, Dylan Sudderson, is his mate. While the fact that his mate can walk only with the aid of crutches concerns Luc, it’s certainly not the deal-breaker. Dylan seems to think it is. Luc is far more concerned about the fact that Dylan is human, so very young…and in the closet. While Dylan is more than happy to get physical with Luc behind closed doors, he’s afraid of losing his parents if they find out he’s gay.

What will it take to convince Dylan to not only come out of the closet, but also accept that Luc shares his spirit with a European Eagle Owl?

Review: This is book eighteen in this series and they need to read in order. It will help you get to know the characters of each book and give you an insight into their lives. I have always loved Charlie’s books. She has one amazing gift at telling a story. I hope she never stops either. I always have loved the paranormal world. It gives you a fantasy that you can lose yourself into every time you pick one up. When it comes in a romance, it is even better. You will love Luc and Dylan.

Dylan was injured pretty badly by a drunk driver and since he was human, he wasn’t healing as fast. He was interested in guys, but was afraid to tell his family. However, that changed when he met Luc. Luc is everything he ever wanted in a man, and he wanted him more than he thought possible. However, he was afraid of what his parents would say.

Luc knew he wanted his mate. From the first time, he not only seen him but also got his smell. He knew that there might be some trouble but he definitely wanted him. Now all he had to do was figure how to tell him that he was a shifter. He turned into a European Eagle Owl.
Talk about a sweet and hot story. The sex is tender and very loving. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I loved it, but then again with Charlie it is usually a given. This book has everything you ever want in a story, love, sex, danger, excitement, two hot men, and adventure.

Portia’s Two Cents: I love this series, but I was a little disappointed with this episode. Luc is to die for hot, and I’ve been waiting for him to fall, for a few books now. Dylan would not have been my choice for him, but hey…I’m not Fate. But, my biggest disappointment was the lack of action. Charlie has a way of weaving romance with action, like nobody else, and I missed that in this title.

Review: Gabriel is a Deviant, a human with special powers, to atone for sins in the past he rescues and helps other Deviants for the Agency for Deviant Assistance (ADA), but he finds it harder and harder to outrun a past that haunts him with their enemies consistently upping the stakes. Alex and his brother Jason have been captured by Deviants who are set on using them for their own needs, when rescue comes in the shape of Gabriel Alex finds himself drawn to the older man, but getting the man to open up to him is impossible. Alex works on getting Gabriel to forgive himself, while Gabriel teaches Alex how to survive. But, will either of them survive when Gabriel’s past comes to call?

This is a great paranormal story where being different will get you killed. When some humans began to develop special powers they became Deviant’s, the normal’s began to hunt them down and then the Government’s decided concentration camps would keep them safe… it just made them sitting ducks. One man created the Agency for Deviant Assistance after the murder of his wife and son and has dedicated his time and resources to saving Deviant’s… one such man was Gabriel. Gabriel’s power is strong, a group of Deviant’s captured him, and during his rescue, he lost the one person most precious to him. Gabriel has spent years fighting back and rescuing all the Deviants he can. This is how he comes to meet Alex. Alex is drawn to Gabriel but is resentful that he has to change to live in the world, cracking through Gabriel’s shell is harder than learning to defend himself but when Alex is in danger Gabriel finally accepts his feelings for the younger man.

I quite enjoyed this story and liked the world building; we are drawn into a world where there is no hiding if you are suspected of being a Deviant, there are no real repercussions from the Government for murdering a Deviant and the danger for being different is brutal and swift. There seem to be two groups of Deviant’s, those that want to be left alone and those that want revenge on the humans for the treatment of Deviant’s and the ADA is the former group. This shows humanity at its worse, destroying what they don’t understand in a bloody and brutal fashion and it doesn’t matter how old the Deviant is.

I wasn’t sure what to make of Alex and Gabriel’s relationship as Alex spends his time trying to get close to Gabriel, and Gabriel pushes Alex away with every breath, so I was beginning to think Alex was a glutton for punishment but finally you see Gabriel begin to soften. Gabriel is tortured by his past and Alex tries to heal him, and while there is an attraction between them, it gets pushed to the back a lot by the circumstances they find themselves in. We meet many characters in this story and with some of them. You get the feeling that there will be stories for them in the future. Although we do get a bit of a happy ending for Gabriel and Alex the ending isn’t really an ending, it’s left open for the next couple to continue the main storyline, so not really a cliffhanger but no real conclusion.

I recommend this to those who love paranormal stories, danger, a difficult relationship, letting go of the past and accepting a new fate.

Rafael, a paid Dominant in the Chicago underworld, has been dealing with a cop problem for far too long. Review: This was like a legal/BDSM comedy of errors. The lawyer who tricked with a Dom unknowingly, and then sees his one night stand in court the next day. Even though he knows there’s a legal conflict, Daniel and Rafael are like teenagers in heat and can’t keep their hands of each other.

For me, most BDSM books are pretty heavy, lots of psychological content and for good reason, dominance, and submission is a physical yes, but mostly psychological practice. So I was a bit turned off that the characters took it rather lightly, and sometimes almost comically, Daniel jumping in to sample the lifestyle and submit like it was nothing big.

I do like the fun sexual heat between Rafael and Daniel, and the humorous relationship that Daniel has with his co-worker and superior Jesse.

Through the legal battles, BDSM scenes, and suspenseful set-up’s by the cop trying to put Rafael in jail, all that drama was overshadowed by two side characters. Jesse and “the King,” George, totally captured my attention. I like the strangeness of the King’s personality as a top Dom, his attire, his entire persona and the way he reacts to Jesse. Jesse, forever making jokes about avoiding his wife, puts on a pretty straight front, until the end of the story as we see him react to George.

I’m glad Daniel and Rafael get their HEA, but I was totally grabbed by Jesse and George and look forward to reading their story!

Review: I think this book is maybe my personal fantasy! Leave behind a narrow-minded small town and stressful job to relax in sun and fun with not one, but two hot guys! Would you relocate to the Keys to start working with two new lovers in an open and safe, fun resort? I sure would! Of course, there’s more to the story. Through one act of bigotry, Will is outed to his narrow-minded community, and suffers the consequences as his closeted boyfriend sits silently and watches the whole thing go down with no act to defend him. So Wil does the only things he knows to: he packs his bags and takes off for the vacation they had planned for two, alone to a gay resort in Key West. Thank goodness, for the kind heart and sexy smile Simon possesses as he invites Wil into his and Adam’s world.

Wil, Simon, and Adam need to weave a delicate balance, and lay down a good foundation of communication, love, and understanding to make their new threesome work. Wil also needs to let go of his past, his wishes that his hometown could have accepted him, and sell off his business and his childhood home. Even after surmounting all those difficulties, another force of bigotry threatens Adam, Will and Simon’s dreams. Will family, friends, and love overcome?

Warning, this story is full of hot sun, hot dancing, hot men, and hot sex. You may need a cool drink and a fan while reading! A fun read, I recommend you take this baby to the beach!

Review: I actually had not read the blurb for this book before beginning to read, so you can imagine my sense of déjà vu when things started reminding me of the first J.P. Barnaby novel I had ever read. It had been a while since I had read The Forbidden Room, so it took me a bit to realize this was adapted form that book. For the most part, it’s pretty much the same for that first part. I had not read House of Cards: Deconstructing Ethan, so that was an all new surprise for me. Though after reading this book, I do feel these two stories are very separate. They are written from a different POV, in a different style, and with many journal excerpts. It’s also a very long, albeit, very good story. Maybe two books would still be a good idea.

The first part of the story, grabs my curious mind right away, especially the first lines: The Ad: “26 year old SWM seeking disciplined roommate so split 5 BR house. Utilities included, Male pref. Call for appt.”

The word “disciplined” in that ad giving a perfect foreshadowing of what was to come. I felt like Jayden walked right into that scenario, his subconscious must have known, and the saying if something’s too good to be true clearly applied. Only in this case, for the most part, what Jayden steps into turns out to be ultimately good. The submission/bondage is a razor edge between desired and feared, though safe words area always in play, the play was at times seemingly heartless, and cold, then powerful and intimate. The way the scenes were written put me in the moment. I felt both a pain in the pit of my stomach, and the desire for Jayden to do whatever was needed to make Ethan happy. Throughout the story Ethan introduces Jayden to his world of dominance and submission, trains him, introduces him to other masters/Mistresses, and even another sub to interact with.

As the relationships develop between Master, submissive and now Lexi, Ethan’s other sub that he trains Jayden to interact with, the hazy line between sexual identity, sex, and submission gets even more blurred. Jayden questions himself, his sexuality, his attraction to both Ethan and Lexi. He questions whether his play with Ethan makes him gay, or just makes him a submissive, and if it matters what gender he submits to.

Many methods of “play” are introduced in this story. Pain, edging, sexual submission, humiliation, bondage, it’s a very educational plot for those beginning in this genre of reading. I myself enjoy BDSM plots and found it very fascinating.

Now on to the second part of the story, this one being based on House of Cards: Deconstructing Ethan. All through part one I am both frustrated, confused and ultimately in pain for Ethan. I want to know what really makes him tick, I want him to have Jayden, and I want him to have everything. Part two helps explain many things. Both my using Ethan’s POV and by letting us read journal excerpts he kept.

Things get very complicated because both Lexi and Jayden are playing new roles, training the new generation of subs the only way they know how, they way they were trained by Ethan, only to quickly learn one method does not fit all scenarios. That what Ethan did and developed for Lexi and Jayden was special and would not necessarily work for other relationships. Through this part of the story we get a look at a very jealous Ethan and a very jealous Jayden, all the while I want to knock their heads together and tell them to see what’s right in front of them! But there is one big block to their ultimate acceptance, and happiness, problem is its ultimate pain, loss, and sadness that brings it. God, the pain J.P puts all the characters though is enough to make me want therapy, not to mention explaining all the “monsters” these people carry with them. I’m talking pain of loss, pain of abuse, pain of neglect, not pain in the playroom.

Over all this is a great collection. I still feel maybe the two need to be read and digested separately. So give yourself sometime between the two parts. There is a lot to absorb here, so much is deeply moving, heavy, very emotional, and by the very end, cathartic. For those who enjoy the BDSM genre, I highly recommend this read.

Blurb: This is book five in the Mossy Glenn Ranch series. See the full series listing here https://www.goodreads.com/search?q=mossy+glenn+series

Jody Bates just wanted to fit in and forget his past, but you can’t escape everything.
Jody Bates had a hard life as a kid, but he’s moved past that and is making a home for himself at the Mossy Glenn. Sometimes he smarts off, but he’s young, and he’s learning.

What he hasn’t learned yet is that you can never completely escape your past.

Jody has a few blank spots, things he can’t quite remember. Like many kids, he did some stupid things and figures he’s lucky to have come out relatively unscathed. Sure, there’s a scar here and there, but on the whole, he’s doing just fine.

But something that happened brings about an enormous change in his life. Jody finds himself with a kid he didn’t know he’d fathered, and memories trying to surface about the drug-filled night the child had to have been conceived. Jody, at twenty, is overwhelmed and more scared than he’s ever been in his life.

Noel Cuthbert needed a change. He was tired of the bar scene, tired of being dumped. He seemed to have a six-month expiration date per relationship. The last guy almost broke him in many ways, and moving across the country had sounded like a brilliant idea when he’d first thought of it.

Now he’s in Ashville, Montana, and his Aunt Gertie is doing everything she can to talk him into staying. She needs his help, and Noel needs to be needed.

And he’s never seen anyone who needs him more than the young man who walks into Gertie’s day care with a screaming baby on his hip.

Reader Advisory: This book contains reference to rape.

Review: This is book five in this series. I think it stands alone pretty well though you may be curious as to some of the other characters.

This book is about Jody. Jody has been working at the Mossy Glenn for a little while. He had recently come out and he and Frankie had been fooling around when Jody’s sister had dropped of an almost three-year-old child telling him it was his and that he was still dead to his family. Of course, the bosses of the ranch Carlos, Troy and Will were very acceptable and helpful. Jody meets Noel at the day care he chooses for Prissy and they become friends quickly.

For those of you not familiar with this series it centers on the Mossy Glenn ranch, a very gay friendly ranch. Each book features a different character and has several of the previous ones and ongoing ones interact in each book. You may wonder how a series has different takes on gay cowboys, keeps it pretty sweet, very hot and sexy yet, fresh and interesting each time, but Bailey Bradford is a master at it. Each book is very different though keeping to her style.

I really liked Noel. He isn’t the cowboy but a love interest and also a vegetarian. I absolutely adored Prissy and the baby talk added even more charm to an already charming series. I do have one complaint. The action or conflict that was Noels was resolved in a wham, bam, thank you ma’am style. It built up slow then all of a sudden, it was resolved. I’d have liked a bit more intrigue or it not felt so easy. Just my personal opinion, it didn’t ruin the story for me. I was left with several unanswered questions (sorry I can’t say what without spoilers) I am hoping they will be answered in the next book.

If you like sweet, sexy stories, featuring hot gay cowboys, cute babies, a bit of drama, lots of charm and some hot mansex this is definitely for you!

Review: Short, Sexy and S.T.E.A.M.Y!! I’ve read all three books so far in this series and they just keep getting better.
Liam Collins has spent the last several months getting to know Chase Preston inside and out. He was hired to play Chase as a public persona for various reasons. Required to move in to Chase’s home, the two have gotten on each other’s last good nerve more often than not. But there is something between them that has been growing and simmering just under the surface.

After a recent argument, Liam breaks the rules and follows Chase to a seedy nightclub where he’s kidnapped by Chase’s older brother’s psychotic ex-girlfriend. Tied up in a hotel room with a crazy woman pointing a gun at him, Liam’s more worried about how Chase will react to all this. And when Chase’s brother shows up, will he blow Liam’s cover?

Liam has been trying to figure Chase out from the start, the man runs hot and cold and his flip is so easily switched, Liam never knows which Chase he’s going to get. Well, let’s just say the thought of Liam being hurt brings on a side of Chase we have yet to see. Everything up until now has been leading up to the events in this book. It is sexy, passionate, sensual, and steamy and toe curling! I’m pretty sure that these two are falling in love, if they haven’t already fallen. The push and pull between them coupled with the intense attraction provides for some very entertaining reading.

Damn you JJ Scotts for leaving us with that ending! How long do I have to troll Amazon for book 4 is my question? I highly recommend this series, but start at the beginning. I stated in my review of the first book that it was a little slow in places, and book two aggravated the piss out of me because they still didn’t get together. It was well worth the wait though, I assure you. Scotts writing gets better with each twist in the story of Liam and Chase.

Review: This is a hard one to review because it’s so short, and I don’t want to give anything away. Sorry if this one is a bit elusive.

Remy is completely oblivious to the tall, blonde man watching him from the pool tables until the kind bartender points him out. Deciding to throw caution to the wind, Remy saddles up to the adjoining pool table and attempts to flirt while also trying to be nonchalant. If he weren’t so terrible at pool, it just might have worked.

Colt has been watching the small man since he came into the bar, thinking of approaching him. When he comes and starts a game at the table next to him. The man is all thumbs and Colt takes pity on him, trying to help him learn the game. One thing leads to another and soon enough they are in the dark parking lot with dirty thoughts filling their minds. But one wrong word sends everything into a tailspin, and brings both men crashing back to reality.

Just a fast, fun read with some fantastic hot guy on guy action to raise your blood pressure. This is a new series from this Author, but it is also part of the ‘Romance on The Go’ collection from Evernight.

Review: This is part of a series and best to be read in order for full impact. I think you could follow it but you may be a bit lost as to who all the characters are. Warning: There is sex in here with partially shifted characters, and shifted characters.

I like this series. I’m leaving out the run down since this book is so short and the blurb above pretty much says all I can without spoilers. The characters are dragon shifters, demons, vampires, werewolves plus some other mixed breeds. I find these characters quite interesting and they are in keeping of what you think they should be. (In other words not sparkly…)Beau is a dragon shifter and has just met Korin, a werewolf (or is he?)and found his mate. I really liked Korin and his secrets surprised me.

This story moves fast and there isn’t a lot of backstory or character description that is why it’s best to read in order. There is the connection between Korin and Beau some hot sex then we get straight into the mystery, which also moves very quickly but for a book of only 38 pages it has to. The end has more sex and a surprise of Tia finally laying her eggs. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

If you enjoy fantasy, paranormal, shifters, especially dragons, a bit of mystery a fast-paced short story and some pretty hot mansex this is for you!
