Review: Another fantastic installment of the spirit of sage series as Freddy, a dual shifter is featured front and center as he comes back after three years. He finds his mate in a lion shifter who ran from the circus along with others. Needless to say it’s more than the two in this story as Flashpoint makes an appearance and trouble comes knocking to Sage once again.
I simply love this series. It’s full of romance, suspense, mystery and action. Each story takes up where the last leaves off so it is best to read them in order.

Review: Brady’s dead lover, who was killed and turned into a vampire ten years prior, shows up on his door step. Despite his animosity he lets Cody in only to discover the case he is working on may come to a conclusion sooner than he thought as Cody has answers.
I understood Brady’s aggression to a point but after so long I found him to be a repetitive asshole to Cody. If he was so bothered by Cody why not send him packing?
The case itself was interesting. Especially when the suspects turn their sights on Brady and Cody.

I would say Silver surprised his family all the way around. He knew about the scrolls and what they meant. After something tragic happened before his eighteenth birthday, Silver made a vow that all who wore the mark would be protected. Silver is a very cranky alpha bear who is meaner then a snake. He will tear another apart if they cross him, well unless you’re a white cat. He believed in mates, so when he found his, well you can guess. The only problem was Mikey took off.
Mikey is a very twisted little guy. He runs or he kicks ass and wants to blow things up. He ran from the big bad bear, but the moment the bear catches up, well lets just say things heated up real fast. Too bad there are still some out there that want him and his cousins dead.
Action packed and funny as hell, this book ranks pretty high up on my books to read more then once list. I got a kick out of Mikey and his cat. I had a lot of fun reading this and can not wait till I get my hands on the next book. I must admit that the bears attitude leave me with mixed feelings, but Silver was a definite surprise. It did show me why he is an alpha though.

I came across Bellann’s stories several months ago and knew after reading the first book, that she would rise up to be a favorite of mine. The worlds she create are unique and a fresh new idea to the paranormal worlds. I have read many shifter stories and have only come across so many that involves Kodiak’s. I actually had to laugh a bit, because of the way they act in the story are the way I would think they act in real life. Grouchy as hell, mean as a snake and mate for life are just a bit of what I imagine. However she gave it a new twist, one that involves a curse.
Keaton and his cousins fear for their lives. Each one has a crescent moon mark on their leg, and that puts them in danger from the Kodiak bear shifters. A curse, a wicked old woman and death follow the mark. However Keaton found something that points to the fact that the old stories were wrong, and the mark led to life for the Kodiak bear’s. To take a chance at dying, Keaton sets out to find the bear meant for him.
Cameron sets his eyes on a sexy man, a man who is his mate. Things get heated up, that is till he see’s the mark. You thought things were going to get rough, you haven’t seen anything yet. To make it even better, the male mates can get pregnant. Too bad Cameron’s alpha might have something to say about it all.
Now I have to admit that when Cameron see’s the mark, the way he reacted almost had me putting the book back down. I always wanted the shifter to be gentle to their mates even if they are pissed, and so seeing Cam’s reaction was a bit disturbing. However it does set with the fact that he is a bear shifter. They take possessive, dominating, asshat reactions to the level.
I enjoyed reading this story and have started on the second book. I can’t wait to see what book three will give us. I would definitely recommend this book.

Review: After living the life his family wants him to Cory has reached rock bottom, struggling with severe depression Cory decides to follow his therapist’s advice and looks for the best friend he’d left behind sixteen years before. Asher is worried about his father’s health but the old man refuses to have much to do with him since he came out to him. Asher’s surprised when Cory walks back into his life and the easy friendship the pair had years ago falls back into place, but with something more between them.
This is a wonderful sweet story that is an easy and enjoyable read. Cory is a wonderful character who has been worn down by the demands of his family and a job he hates, pulling himself out of the deep depression has been hard for him but the one thing that sticks with him is the happiness he once felt when he had him best friend by his side. Returning to that boy has Cory once again glimpsing happiness and he finds a backbone to finally get his family off his back.
Asher is an incredible man who has fought hard to stay in his father’s life, with his dad sick he does what he can but he feels the distain and hate with every gruff word uttered by the man. Asher finds happiness with Cory and he also finds so much more when Cory refuses to let Asher’s dad chase him off.
I really enjoyed this story, Cory and Asher make a wonderful couple, their romance is sweet and their support for each other is fantastic. They are both there for the other as they deal with their families, and while one is a lost cause the other gives Cory and Asher hope.
There are some moments of tension in the story with Asher’s ex-boyfriend providing one moment, Asher’s dad one or two more and Cory’s family… well let’s just say they should be dumped in the ocean because I doubt that a bigger bunch of control freaks and snobs who couldn’t give a damn about what their son and grandson wants exists.
I recommend this story to those who love fantastic characters reconnecting and discovering love, who adore stories of overcoming limitations and moving forward, who love sweet romances with a dash of sexy, and who love men who refuse to turn their backs on a challenge and face it head on.

Damn sexy men, danger, mercenaries, guns, action and excitement all rolled into one amazing package. Jordan lost the man of his heart to an accident and from that day forth figured it was just him. He was afraid to try to love again, but the sexy ass sherif was sure making it hard. Mason has his own set of problems, a past that was coming back to bite him in the ass. When these two men hook up, they are going to set the sheets on fire.
Lynn Hagen was one of the first author’s of this genre that I came across and knew that she would become on of my all time favorite authors. She hasn’t let me down yet, I can tell you that. A fresh new world that just seems to have the best damn men to be around. Each one of them has an amount of danger and excitement mixed in with so much more.
I had quite a bit of fun reading this and can not wait to get started on the next book. Sexy men with guns and rides a motorcycle just makes a girl want to scream or in this case one sexy man who uses his hands a lot. I would definitely recommend this book.

Jordan, one of the workers from the Lockmere Construction Company that is restoring the small town in the mountains, has some demons of his own to work through, but from the moment that he saw the newly appointed Sheriff ride into town, he’s got the hots for him. Jordan, however, has convinced himself that he’s the reason he’s the cause of his last boyfriend’s death, and he doesn’t want another death on his conscious if he gets involved with the Sheriff.
Mason sees Jordan and wants him, but he’s been in some rough situations in his life and his previous job that he would like to be out of, but as he says, leaving that job isn’t an option. He came to Wildfire to start a fresh life and a new job. Jordan and Mason hook up, but then Jordan family drama intrudes, and then Mason has to go out of town to do a job, but the situation is beyond his control, when his assignment takes him back to save Jordan and his friends that he got close to in Wildfire, to save them from a crazed madman.
I would definitely recommend this series to anyone interested.

Haven and Sammy have been taking it easy and Haven is wondering if he’ll ever be ready to return to work. Saving the innocent is something Haven’s been driven to do and with Sammy there to support him he knows that what he does is necessary. There’s something heading their way, someone is slowly picking agents and their family members off and it’s up to Haven and his friends to put a stop to a deranged killer before it’s too late.
Holy damn, Parker Williams has outdone himself this time around. Haven’s War takes a very personal turn as Haven and the guys are targeted, and even Haven wonders if he can keep them all safe.
We are compelled by the opening scenes to keep reading this story, right from the onset it grabs you by the throat and drags you along as you keep turning page after page… all the while a sense of dread and danger build up as you realise the very real danger Haven, Sammy, Kelly and Rook face this time around.
Reading this story isn’t easy, Parker Williams sends us on an emotional roller coaster from happiness, despair, anger, glee and frustration. Our hearts are torn out by what Haven and Sammy face, we shake our fists at the authors sadistic muse and we feel a secret glee when the baddie gets just what he deserves.
We find ourselves fascinated by the characters as they become real in our minds, they are so fully realised that the depth to them makes their journey your journey. We see the continuing love between Haven and Sammy; their relationship is just perfect for them. And we see the growth in their little family as Kelly settles in more as the father figure.
There are some scenes that are tough to read, I mean really tough, there isn’t the level of danger to the innocents like in Haven’s Creed but by God the level of danger that heads straight Haven’s way is astounding. Yes there is quite a bit of blood and gore, devastating loss and senseless violence but damn this is one fantastic read.
I can’t delve into the story because this is really something that you need to read yourself (make sure to read Haven’s Creed first though), and yes there will be times that you shake your head in pure *what the fuckery* and seethe as you wonder how quickly you can hunt down the author and skin him alive (although, he does need to write more books in this series first).
I recommend this to those who love darker grittier stories, who adore damaged characters who manage to find their way in life (even if it is as a killer), who admire characters who come to life, and a shocking storyline that won’t let you take a break.
After Micky O’Neill is remanded in custody for breaching his court order, his already tempestuous relationship with Dan Peters is tested to the limits.
Having to battle their way through a court case that could end with Micky in jail, social workers breaking up the family home, and the return of Micky’s deadbeat father, it seems everything is set to destroy their relationship before it even had the chance to start.

After the startling end to Misdemeanor we have an explosive beginning in Hard Time, Micky’s been arrested and is facing a police sergeant who has it out for him. Micky has a lot to lose if the Courts throw the book at him; it’s dodgy now with Flynn being placed in emergency foster care but it’s lucky for Micky that he has Dan in his corner.
In this new addition in the Responsible Adults series we see some huge dangers that Micky faces, he has decisions to make and Micky learns he can’t always rely on his fists to sort his problems out. Micky’s dangers aren’t physical they are mainly mental, because Micky could lose everything he’s working towards if he doesn’t break the cycle of his reactions.
Dan is an amazing support for both Micky and Flynn, he’s there for Flynn while Micky is locked up and he’s also there for Micky as Micky struggles to keep control of his life. Dan is just amazing and his family are just wonderful, Dan is so lucky to have such a supportive family.
Micky’s and Dan’s relationship grows in leaps and bounds, while they might have only been together a short amount of time their feelings for each other are solid. They face a lot in the short time line of this book, you have Micky’s impending court case, social services sniffing around Flynn, Micky’s dad pushing his luck and Dan’s decision regarding his job.
I really enjoyed this story; C.F. White doesn’t just give us the rosy view of Flynn’s disability C.F. gives it all in technicolor so we end up taking Micky deeper into our hearts as we see just what he has dealt with by himself for years. We also get to see Jason (Micky’s best friend) again and we can also see the huge change in him as well, there’s a lot of growing for several characters in this story and it’s a pleasure to see.
I recommend this story to those who love great characters who develop and grow, two men supporting each other through thick and thin, loving and supportive parents and friends, an adorable little boy who will steal your heart, and a great ending that hints at more to come.

Review: Man see’s boy, man wants boy. Dusk is the leader of The Underdogs, an up and coming band. When he spots cute pink haired Lolly/Abe he knows he has to have him. From the moment they met unbeknownst to them it was destiny.
Amid the hot and sexy times between them their relationship deepens until a picture of the two surface for all to see. This causes a slight hiccup as Dusk is not out. I loved the way Dusk tried to set everything right after Abe is paid to be his pretend mate.
Feelings get hurt when Dusk messes everything up. But oh the make up was so sweet. I loved the chemistry between these two and the way they handled themselves.

Garry and Will have been friends for quite sometime, but Garry wants more. He is about to get the help of two darling angels, he never expected. I would love to go on about this story, but guess you should read it. Don’t want to give to much of it away.
It is a very sweet little love story that will brighten your day. I just wished it had not been so short, because I would have loved to see Garry’s expression at the end. It was funny as hell and entertained me quite a bit. I would definitely recommend this book. It is perfect for a short little break in life.
