Blurb: Galen is next in line for the throne of the Earth Kingdom. With father ready to relinquish the throne, Galen must be mated. His father had already arranged a mate for him to meet and bond with. However, Galen has done his utmost to forget about said arranged mating until his father leaves him no choice but to fetch his mate home.

Finc is the illegitimate son of a noble and a low born woman. The half-brother to Galen’s arranged fiancé. Life had not been kind to him at all since his birth. However, with his mother, at least he had known love of the motherly kind, for a time, but all good things never lasted for long, especially in his case, and his only refuge against his reality was his writing and his best friend, Jory. That was, until the day he met Galen and knew deep in his bones that this was his fated mate.

Having his fated mate be his half-brother’s fiancé was so far off what he expected, but how would they ever have an acceptable bond when Finc’s biological father, as well as his step-family, were not willing to have the half-brothers trade places?

Review: Each book in the Beyond the Veil collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characers, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

I have never really been a fan of books with the fae in them, or should I say where they are the main characters. Galen is to be the King of the Earth Kingdom, once his father steps down. He was to bond with someone of higher standing, but the moment he saw Finc well lets just say there are going to be some pissed off people.

Finc was the result of a highbred noble man and a very poor woman who was not like him. She showed Finc the love that a child needed, but his father took that life away from him. He was brought to the man’s home and now had a stepmother and half brother, neither really cared for him. He thought it would never change, that is until he saw his half-brothers intended mate. Sparks are sure to fly.

It is a tale that has been told over and over, just in different ways. There was nothing really unique to this story, other than the characters themselves. However it is a very entertaining tale that will have you smiling. I liked the touch of danger near the end of the story, but for me it was a fun little book. All in all, I hate to admit that this story really didn’t do anything for me. It didn’t catch my attention like it should have, but that is just my opinion for my desires of the book.

The characters however were the part that rocked. Their mixing was a bit strange, but I always liked Finc and Galen, and knew that they had a story to tell. I just wished it called to me a bit more then it did.

Andrew Brady was proud to work for such an organization, working behind the scenes on his computer to help keep the world safe.

When the son of a prominent British politician, and a fellow fox shifter, goes missing in Prague, Andrew is forced to go out into the field for the first time. It wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the fact he was partnered up with Lane Roberts, leopard shifter, secret agent, and all round serial flirt.

The two men had been butting heads for two years, dancing around each other in a game of Lane’s making. Putting himself in danger, and having to pretend to be married to Lane Roberts would have been bad enough, but the deeper they go the darker their mission seems to get.

Review: Each story in the C.L.A.W. collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This particular series is branched off from the Happily Ever After Mating Agency series. I would suggest reading those books first. Although it can be read as a standalone.

Andrew is one hell of a computer expert and hacker. Thank god he works for the good guys otherwise we would be in big trouble. When a young man goes missing who ever was behind them looking for him, asked for Andrew to help. He is about to get a big surprise in that end. To bad he has to work with the biggest flirt in the world and who got on his nerves

Lane was a big flirt but it got the job done. A super secret spy had to do what he could to get the results he wanted. He just needed to figure out how to get the one man he wants to be his. That is after they save the kid.

Entertaining and very unique type of story. It caught my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me almost everything I could ask for in a story. I will admit that it was missing something to make the story complete but I didn’t really notice it to much. I liked the characters and their story quite a bit.

I had a blast reading this and can’t wait to read the next book. It might even be one of those types that will be read more than once, we will just have to wait and see.

As they spend more time together, Edmund and Arden develop a close friendship, then stronger feelings, but with Edmund’s wedding approaching, they must hide their feelings, even from themselves.

Blurb: Eight years ago, my world changed. Little did I know the rest of the world had changed with me.

Someone has been murdering born wolf shifters and using them in brutal rituals. I was given the opportunity to stop them and save lives. I leapt at the chance to make a real difference, but of course it came with a catch. I have to work with a Guardian, one of the goddess’s chosen wolves. On one hand, he’s everything I look for in a man. On the other, if he finds out who and what I am, then death will be a sweet release from the torture I’ll endure.

I have no choice but to hope the goddess is on my side as I rush to save the lives of the born wolf shifters, all the while praying I don’t lose my own life in the process.

Review: Niko is a made wolf. Made wolves are considered abominations and hunters are dead set on killing them all. Niko has been partnered with Guardian Alasdair. They two are investigating ritualistic killings of wolves. As the investigation intensifies the clues point to someone who wants the shadow gods favor.

Niko does not know a lot about what all he can do but is terrified of his partner finding out he has shadow magic and so it keeps it tightly bound. Allies are formed and Alasdair and Niko learn to begin trusting one another. This is a journey of Niko finding acceptance and learning to trust others.

The killer is a nasty piece of work. The rituals are brutal in how the bodies are found. I really enjoyed the story plot and the characters. I hope to read more about Grayson, the council and others as they series continues.

Great read.

Review: Aidan has taken Jamie to his realm to mate him. Jamie tries hard to keep his secrets from Aidan. An interesting story that picks up where the first book leaves off. As the story progresses Jamie is at first determined to leave then slowly gets used to living with Aidan. Aidan for his part suspects Jamie is more than a vampire but has no clue as to what exactly he is.

Secrets are revealed in the face of a dangerous foe who sends his minions to deal a deadly blow to the dragons while attempting to take Jamie out. Twists and turns around every corner kept me riveted to the very end. The battle scenes were bloody and action packed.

I love this series. I am on pins and needles awaiting the next book in the series to find out what else is in store. I will admit to being a little miffed that Asa was only mentioned in this installment. I wanted to know more about where he went and how his life was now.

Fantastic read and highly recommended.

Review: Each book in the Alien Blood Wars collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Mackie has had a hard life and it didn’t seem to get any better. He had been basically kicked out of his own home because his parents were homophobic asshats. Forced to live on the streets he had given his body to survive. Now he danced and got to choose who he slept with. The only one he truly wanted was the bouncer at the club. A man that was not human and a man that didn’t really want him.

Val wanted Mackie with all he had in him. The problem was many years past he had given his heart to a young man and lost him. Lost him and their child because he couldn’t give birth the way his kind was meant to. Now he has gone the route of never falling in love but love always wins over. Top it off there was someone out there who was trying to destroy them all. One of their own to be precise.

You have your good alien vampires and your bad, but it seems the bad always win. The story is quite unique and very entertaining. I am not really a fan of this type of story though. This one has a bit more BDSM involved in it and lets face it the vampire is always the dominate partner. In this series the mates can give birth but it is quite dangerous. You not only get Val’s side of view but Mackies as well. However what is even more unique is you get the bad guys as well.

Now as the down side to this book is the drama between Val and Mackie. There is no true communication between them unless you count sex. Val wants his way and Mackie just wants Val. I don’t much care for it nor the fact that it hasn’t really moved forward with the actual plot from the bad guys.

Overall the story is pretty good and I did enjoy it. I will admit that it is not one of those stories that sticks with you. It is however one of those stories that will be read more than once, but only to remember the parts that you need to. I will hold my final thoughts till I read further on in the series.

Review: Yasko and his brothers suffer from a curse brought on by his ailing mother’s mental state after a devastating plague affects her. Yasko goes in search of a cure that will turn his brothers back into humans. Instead he finds out that is not possible to permanently restore his brothers. He is given a long task and explicit instructions to complete so his brothers can have some semblance of normalcy.

He meets Duke Cas and romance blossoms. He agrees to go back with the man but then runs into problems with the heinous duchess, Cas’ mother. I hated this woman. She was spiteful and hurtful. The things she did was despicable all in the name of keeping her power. What really pissed me off was how Cas turned a blind eye to the way she behaved. That was unacceptable to me as he was the duke.

All in all it was a wonderful retelling of a story I enjoyed.

Great read.

Review: A romance mostly story about Grif and Kiernan doing what they must to survive the harsh weather they find themselves in. I thought Grif’s reason for being out in said weather to be a little irritating. He puts himself and Kiernan in danger because he gives up.

Kiernan rescues him and nurses him back to health. Meanwhile the two are drawn together and start a relationship. Two men are trapped in the middle of a storm fighting to stay alive against all odds. I liked the struggle and the passion between these two as the story progressed.

It was an o.k. read.

When a simple ‘find & fetch’ case throws private investigator Twig Starfig and newly-minted wizard, Quinn Broomsparkle, into the middle of an EBI murder investigation, it’s just another day in the Elder Realm.

If murder were Twig’s only problem, he’d be the luckiest half-dragon in the land. Murder he can handle. Fulfilling his promise to his scheming, power-hungry father to run for a seat on Lighthelm’s city council? Meh, he’d rather face a demon with a toothache.

On top of their case going sideways, and Twig running for a council seat he really doesn’t want, Twig and Quinn are forced to face some unpleasant realities about their budding romance, while still learning how to handle the wizard-familiar bond they now share. Throw in a red fury with abysmal taste in boyfriends, a ghost pirate-parrot who drinks too much, a murderer who will stop at nothing to get what they want, a host of new friends and enemies, and you’ve got a situation where no one is safe and everyone is Fairy Game.

Review: The gang is back in this sequel to solve new cases. Quinn, Twig and Bill are close. Bill considers them family. Pie is still searching for a way to find his former pirate captain. There are several new characters added and several deaths that are thrown into the investigation. Not to mention Twig’s dad is getting assassination attempts made on his life.

To put it mildly there is a lot going on in this book. Twig is still having a problem with Quinn’s ability to control him which he does not like. Quinn for his part understands that Twig wants to mate but he hesitant to do so. My mind was spinning as this story payed out. There were twists and turns galore. Magic, darkness and danger seemed in abundance throughout.

It was roller coaster ride for sure as Twig and Quinn threw themselves into solving cases as well as struggling with their own issues with each other. A great cast of characters added depth and mystery and a sense of suspense as the cases played out and clues gathered.

Great addition to the series.

Review: Twig Starfig, a man who is half dragon, half fairy, has a successful business as a Private Investigator. He meets Brandsome, a unicorn, and is almost sucked into his spell until his servant, Quinn, informs him of whats happening. Twig takes the case to find the horn as well as obtaining his slave Quinn as collateral. These two have an interesting adventure where they come to know one another better as well as encountering a ghost pirate parrot, a red fury demon, Twigs evil stepbrother Nix, a Cyclops, giants and Twig’s father who is a council member and all around pain in the butt at times.

There was no shortage of drama as secrets are revealed throughout. I liked the way Nix and Brandsome were handled as they both deserved what they got for their troubles. Twig and Quinn got off to a great start by helping each other. Quinn’s past was interesting and became the forefront when they were in trouble.

I loved that these two were willing to work together as trust came slowly from one another yet they suffered from the feeling of being different from others. I loved all the characters in this story as they all had a role to play in bringing this book to life.

Fantastic read.

Blurb: The tribes were his to lose…and theirs to regain.

History taught that rebels executed the imperial family, including young Prince Nika Marisek, and hid the bodies in an unmarked grave. History was wrong.

Decades later, yarn shop owner Nick Goode reclaimed his identity to see his long-dead family decently buried. He’ll do whatever he must to persuade elders who now rule the tribes…even offer to abdicate. Some, however, seek to capitalize on Nick’s survival. Who better to drag the tribes from corruption into freedoms the rebellion had promised if not the prince who became one of the peasantry in exile?

Arit hates politics. When Elder Benjic, his estranged sire, shows up with the celebrity prince to fulfill a pre-war mating pact, Arit refuses. He craves strength on strength, the challenge of an alpha mating another alpha. A damaged omega who knits won’t do. Arit will guide them on an adventure tour exploring their wolf instincts; that’s his job. But that’s all he’ll do.

Except Nick isn’t an omega. He isn’t damaged. And if he seduces Arit to win Benjic’s support, Nick won’t give up his throne, either. He’ll risk everything to realize the ideals of the rebellion…and end his fate as the tribes’ last emperor.

Review: After the murder of his family at the hands of rebels who were betrayed them Nick is secreted away severely injured. Now many years later Nick decides it is time for the emperor to emerge and take back what is his. I liked the story. I felt Nicks pain for his family throughout. My heart cried out at the brutal injustice done to so many as a result of greed and power.

Arit was an angry man especially about his sire who left many years before. With no choice but to accept the guests at his resort Arit meets Nick along with his sire and entourage. What starts as not wanting them there turns into a mating heat, love and fierce desire to protect.

Arit and Nick were perfect for each other. I loved the way they each leaned on each other when the need arose. The tensions between the elders and the people were front and center as a history of past transgressions come to light.

Really interesting read.

Review: Tork and Ansel made for a powerful mating. I loved these two men together. When danger comes these two everything within their power to protect each other and their friends and families.

Amazing ending and battles. Heartstopping and fascinating this story holds your attention from start to finish. I only wish there was another book with Adrian as the MC as he’s mentioned quite a lot. Not to mention the sorcerer now on their side.

Fantastic read and highly recommend.

Review: I was intrigued when I was sent this book to read. I loved the descriptions of the planet where Sanana was sent to do his sentencing. Santana seemed rough and scary at times. La’ael was so sweet and caring toward Sanana.

I understood Sanana’s anger at having been taken away and mated to La’al with no knowledge of what that entailed. However, I thought it cruel that Sanana had La’al take him to earth just to reunite with his lover Rhyan. I mean who does that. This book ends on cliffhanger but if in the next book La’al decides Rhyan is his mate or lover as well I won’t believe it. He looked in Sanana’s memories and saw Rhyan and felt nothing but jealousy.

I really do not know how I felt about this story other than it was confusing at times what Sanana actually wanted.

O.k. read for me.

Blurb: Mate or die.

Gabriel is out of time. As the last unmated omega wolf in his superstitious pack, he faces an ultimatum: mate with an alpha, or be banished to the vicious outside world. Gabriel knows he won’t survive out there, but he doesn’t have much of a choice. It’s stay and mate, or leave and die.

But Gabriel wants to make his own choice. Despite the dangers, he leaves the pack. When violent humans threaten him with death or worse, Gabriel accepts his fate – until a gorgeous alpha dragon appears and saves him from a certain demise.

Fight for love.

Dante hadn’t intended to find a mate. As an alpha shifter with the hybrid powers of dragon and wolf, he’s gifted with immortality and power. He’d rather be at home with his books than escorting a scout over the lands and searching for new omegas to bring back to their tribe.

But when Dante sees an omega wolf fall into the hands of cruel raiders outside the pack’s walls, he feels the spark. Gabriel is his fated mate. Dante refuses to find his mate and lose him in the same night. Dante will fight tooth and talon to protect Gabriel, and doesn’t care what stands in his way.

Review: Gabriel’s pack has lived behind the walls for as long as he could remember. They knew that by going out they would die by the hands of the humans. One omega had left long ago only to die by their hands, or so they think. No one really knows. The laws state that if an omega doesn’t take the hand of an alpha they are forced to leave. Basically being sentenced to death. Gabe however didn’t want an alpha, he wanted a fated mate. Just those words are outlawed pretty much. Ass backwards pack if you tell me.

Dante had not wanted to leave his home but knew he had to basically keep his friend safe while she searched for omega’s who wanted to come with them. However he heard a cry and went to find out. What he found was his fated mate about to die. Thing is his mate is as stubborn as all gets out and boy is he trouble.

This is the first time I had read a story written by this author so I wasn’t really sure what I would get. It is a very fascinating story that has a unique twist to it. Dante is a dragon shifter who can shift into a wolf. They also have magical abilities as well. However even though it is a unique and fresh idea, it is also well used in the alpha/omega sense. It flows nice but it jumps from saving, to meeting, to mating, to having a baby and so forth. It made the story just a bit off to me. It just needs more to it. To many inconsistencies to really make the story rock for me. For one the words fated mate were basically outlawed, but how did Gabe not know that if he was born there.

It has a few problems that could be fixed, but it is the first book in the series so I am hoping that there are more to the next ones. It was a very entertaining read and did keep my attention pretty much through it all. I just hope the next book doesn’t come off rushed. For now I will continue to read the rest of the series once they come out.

Review: Diane is a new author to me and I was not really sure what to think or expect. However I have to tell you that it was a fun book but very different than normal. I only know of very few stories involving angels so not really sure what to expect. I am just glad there were no religious factors with it.

The characters are well written and fully developed if not strange. In fact it was a bit confusing with all of the twists to it. Drake was an angel and his job was to protect his charge. He just hadn’t realized that Grey was not what he expected. Grey was a shock to the angel’s world.

Like I said the story can be a bit confusing but it does roll together in the end. I truly enjoyed it and look forward to seeing what other stories this author has out. It was a cute little love story that just pulls you in and leaves you satisfied at the end.

I would definitely recommend it.

Review: Aliens have landed on Earth over a thousand years ago and were the ones that created the fable of vampires. Stronger, faster, and of course the drinking of blood is just a bit of what the guys have going for them. I should say they crashed instead of just landed on it, but then again newbies shouldn’t be trusted with something so very much needed as navigation. Alex and his men were now stuck on this blasted planet and needed to work around it. To bad half his crew didn’t agree and seperated. So you have a group that is good and a group that is bad, so very overused I would say.

Quinn had finally came out to his parents and what did his honesty get him, a boot out of his home. He needed food, a place to stay so being a gogo dancer is looking better each time he thinks about it. All looks good till the owner decides he wants him. Which puts him into the site of well you can guess.

First off this book was just way to long to stick with it. To much added story that was not needed. The characters were hard to connect with, well with the exception of our Quinn and Mackie. It starts off like you are in the middle of the story instead of the beginning which didn’t really do it any favor. It took longer to get involved into the story and by the ending I had been wishing I stopped reading. The book was pretty much like so many others out there that there was no fresh idea to it. Aliens who are pretty much vampires who crashed landed in Romania and well it just didn’t work for me.

Then there was the whole hive way of thinking and being led by a queen, no thanks just sounded like a bunch of worker bees. Now the story did have a good plot going on, and the world was different, but it bombed on me with all the extra added crap put into it. I think had it started out a bit different and not coming into feeling like I came into the middle would have been a better deal.

So for this book and possibly the rest of the series, it is not for me. However I will wait to see if book two gets better before totally giving in. Less of the dark tone and more fun is needed.

Review: Don has lived his life wild and fast. In the end it cost him everything. Now here he was broke, homeless and starving. So when a handsome man in a limo offers him a deal that is to good to be true, well his dumbass takes him up on it. He has just sold his soul to the devil, unless he keeps his word.

Benito is the kings youngest and sweetest child. He is full of love and tenderness, but he longs for true love. He might just get his wish, whether he lives long enough or not that is. Guess who is the bad guy in this and what king goes almost broke. Strange people in a strange land or time, I guess.

I have always been a fan of this authors work but must say that this one was not one of them. It was a bit dull and boring to me. There was no spark to it, well except near the end with attempted murder. I could not connect with the characters or the story and was not really into the story to begin with. It just did nothing to catch my attention nor keep it. I am afraid that this was one story that was not for me.
