Blurb: Gay Master/slave Erotic Romance. Orion’s promising military career is cut short when he is caught having a sex with another free man. He is condemned to lifetime of slavery after a public trial, a fate which Meme, his ex-lover, shares with him. When he finds out, he has been purchased by General Ares, he risks invoking the wrath of his former superior by pleading with him to also purchase Meme. Even though Ares is furious with Orion, he grants his request. Ares is determined to unravel Orion’s impassive facade and Meme may just be what he needs to break a warrior.

‘My Warrior, My Slave’ is a companion story of ‘Slave of Heart’. However, it can be read as a stand-alone work. The story contains explicit material with light BDSM content and is intended for adults only.

Review: And this is what happens when I’m torn by a book. I loved it on one hand. It was an exquisite exercise in mind games and breaking a slave. It was erotic, intense, and capable of making your heartbeat drum high. But it was also heartbreaking due to the nature of the slave character.

Orion is not just a sex slave. He was a free man, a man with dreams and ambitions. He was a Master himself and most of all, the thing that affected me more than anything did, and he was a warrior.

In a society where men and women can indulge in same-sex intercourse with their slave, yet between two free men such thing is inexcusable to the point of said free men to lose their freedom and become sex-slaves themselves, witnessing the descend of a warrior was – for me at least – unbearable. My heart was held in a vise-like grip the entire read, weeping for Orion. While the transition from a free man to submitting, the mastery of how Ares managed to play his mind games and ultimately break Orion and make him his, was extremely erotic and mind-blowing, I still ached for the warrior and felt such a profound sadness. Even in the most sensual parts of this book, even during the most erotic and stimulating passages, that sadness never left me, surrounding my like a damned cloak.

So you understand my torment now, I don’t know how to truly evaluate this read. If I keep in mind how much it affected me, I’d say point for the author, mission accomplished. Still that lingering feeling makes me rip this book apart, if only it was a paperback.

In any case, I feel this work deserves praise, lots of it for it is quite powerful. I have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone who has an appreciation for mind games and M/s relationships. The scenes are light and described with smooth words, not cringe-like, and the length is quite short, making this read a nice and enjoyable break.

Enjoy!

Blurb:The old sugar maple features strongly in Stuart’s life. He’d first met Harry here, while he was completing a college project. He’d been eighteen, Harry twenty-one. They’d started dating soon after. Harry had proposed under the maple—down on one knee, the whole nine yards. Under its branches, they’d decided to buy a house together, and here, many years later, Stuart had scattered Harry’s ashes.

For six years, Stuart has been alone. He feels he’s had his chance at love, and doesn’t expect to find anyone else. Then he meets Tom. But Tom is twenty years his junior and Stuart can’t take that in his stride.

Their age difference is irrelevant to Tom. He knows Stuart is it for him, the one man who can give him everything he didn’t know he needed, and he can offer the same to Stuart. All he has to do is convince Stuart to give them a chance. Once again, Old Man Maple is witness to life-changing decisions.

Review:Never too late, Stuart is 47, was in a loving relationship for over twenty years, lost his lover to heart disease, six years ago and recently retired from his stressful job after a heart attack. He now blogs and takes photos of trees.

Tom brings his best friend Deanna home to Rochester to her grandmother’s after a bad sprain and a breakup with her boyfriend. He meets Stuart, a man Deanna claims as an uncle, and falls in love instantly.
This is a lovely story of two men that both want and need a man to love, cherish, protect, long-term. The only difference is about twenty years. This bothers Stuart.

I adore all the characters in this story, even the dogs. I even liked the love at first sight thing since they didn’t actually rush to act on it. Both men were practical and let the relationship grow naturally. The sex is sensual and loving when it finally came. (No pun intended)

I highly recommend this to anyone that believes in love at first sight, loves trees, photography nurses, dogs and hot sensual mansex and a happy ending.

Blurb:   The best things in life aren’t free…they’re freely given.

Ben Lethbridge doesn’t have many vices left. After raising his little sister to adulthood, he wasted no time making up for the youth he lost to responsible parenting. Two years of partying it up—and ignoring his diabetes—has left him tethered to a home dialysis regimen.

He can do his job from his flat, fortunately, but most of his favorite things are forbidden. Except for DVD porn…and fantasizing over Ollie, the gorgeous, purple-haired skateboarder who delivers it.

Their banter is the highlight of Ben’s lonely day, but his illness-ravaged body is the cruel reality that prevents him from believing they’ll do anything more than flirt. Not to mention the age gap. Still, Ben figures there’s no harm in sprucing himself up a bit.

Then one day, a package accidentally splits open, revealing Ben’s dirty little secret…and an unexpected connection that leaves him wondering if he’s been reading Ollie wrong all this time. There’s only one way to find out: risk showing Ollie every last scar. And hope “far from perfect” is good enough for a chance at love.

Warning: Contains superhero porn comics and a cute, accident-prone delivery guy with color-changing hair. Readers may experience coffee cravings, an unexpected liking for bad mullets, and the urge to wrap Ollie up and take him home.

Review:  Ben Lethbridge is all but a recluse. He was barely 18 when his parents died, leaving him to care for his young sister. Now he’s on daily dialysis due to failing kidneys and diabetes so he’s resigned himself to never having a life, much less a love life. Who would want an aging, out of shape gay man with a permanent tube in place for his treatments? He manages to bide his time working from home and has amassed a collection of porn that would put TLA Releasing to shame! He fantasizes about the hot, young delivery guy that brings him his daily packages, Ollie.

Ollie is an enigmatic, free spirit. His hair transforms from purple, to red and back and he sports several tattoos and piercings. He’s quite smitten with the middle-aged man he delivers to daily, but he can’t seem to grab Ben’s attention. These two slowly become aware of their mutual attraction, but two vastly different personalities as well as self-esteem issues threaten to put the brakes on any type of relationship.

I enjoyed reading these two characters as they came together and fell in love. They had to learn not to jump to conclusions, to talk to each other, communication and trust is key to any relationship. Once Ben and Ollie figured this out the story really took a turn. If you’re looking for a short, fun read with some pretty good guy on guy scenes and a love story with a HEA, you should give this one a try.

Review:  The babies are here! Mateo Esposito and Sam Waters are hard-core Assassins. Members of the elite ‘Skull Blasters’ unit, these no guts no glory guys have seen everything. Except the females shifters of their extended group giving birth. Mateo and his husband Riley are now the proud parents of twins, Matty and Maggie. While Sam and his husband Dakota have a bouncing baby boy, Kane. Newborns are a handful to begin with, imagine adding to that shifting and the ability to tell the future. Some unexpected twists and turns have a few of our assassins becoming shifters, but that’s become par for the course throughout this series.

The entire family, shifters and assassins, come together to help the guys adjust to parenting so we get to catch up with a lot of our favorite characters in the series. Some events for the outreach center that Riley and Caden started for LGBT youth brings some of our newest favorites to the series back into the forefront as well.

This is an involved series that involves a lot of characters, and Gasq-Dion introduces possible newbies in each and every book. But the writing keeps the stories fresh so the reader doesn’t get weighted down in repetitiveness. I love how each book centers on just one or a couple of couples, and yet you still are in the know with the majority of the characters within the series. Everyone is always woven into that specific storyline somewhere. Gasq-Dion could probably write dozens of books in this series and manage to maintain your interest every step of the way.

There are definitely some knock your socks off chapters in this book as well with Mateo and Riley’s impromptu office romp, and if Sam and Dakota aren’t the sexiest wolves ever, I don’t know who is! This is by far my favorite M/M series, if you haven’t read it yet, I have to ask “why the hell not?!” I suggest you start with book one though, these aren’t stand alone books and they need to be read in order so you can enjoy the beauty of each as they progress.

Blurb:   Three years ago, a race of aliens called Narsoreal made contact and gained asylum on Earth. In exchange for technology and medical advancements, the United States government allows the Narsoreal to collect and bond with the country’s “unwanted” citizens. In one city, a Narsoreal bond-matcher has set his sights on a small band of male and female prostitutes in desperate need of salvation. Each of the five has unique needs, but it just might be that there is a Narsoreal ready and willing to meet every one of them.

Renzo’s bio-family life is…complicated. Amongst his chosen-family he’s accepted as bisexual and, just like them, he earns his money on the streets. And, though his mother will take that money, she won’t accept her son or his method of earning what keeps their house and food on their table. The local gang is also sniffing around again, wanting to control his income or maybe just own him. When he reconnects with his friends, he discovers they’ve hit the jackpot and he would definitely like to get some for himself. He just never expected his match could change in ways that would satisfy this bi boy’s every fantasy.

Review: This series is centered on an unusual group of friends that consider themselves a family. And an alien race, Nasoreal, that have taken solace on our planet. The aliens travelled light years from their planet to ours because they were gay and thus not allowed to bond on their planet. They are allowed to look for a bond mate among earths unwanted and forgotten members of society in exchange for their knowledge and medicines that can cure most human diseases.

Renzo is a bi-sexual prostitute that works the streets like his friend Shannon did to pay the bills and put food on the table. His mother and sisters are more than happy to take his money, all the while they condemn him and criticize the way he provides it. He learns about Shannon, Derek, Joel, and Ambrosia meeting the Nasoreal and finding mates. Making a life for themselves that doesn’t involve prostitution, abuse, or condemnation from anyone. When he’s invited to Alimund’s home to possibly meet his own match, he jumps at the chance. He has no idea just how willing this Alien race is to find mates, how they will conform to his every fantasy to make him happy.

I love the concept of the world in these stories. It’s so commonplace in our society to put labels on people like ‘unwanted’ and assume they don’t deserve anything. It was such fun to read each installment and see the relationships unfold then grow. My favorite part was Alimund’s key to knowing who was bonded, through the eyes. I’ve always said the eyes are the window to the soul, so I like Jameson’s twist on soul mates in this story. I also liked the transformations that a couple of the aliens took on to please their mate.

Jameson is descriptive not only with the sex (which is hot, steamy, passionate and sometimes corny, but good) but with each character and their story. This series of shorts has a story for everyone… gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender. I’m excited to get my hands on the final copy of The Unwanted, which will contain all 5 parts in one nifty installment! This is a book I will read over, and over, and over again. My favorite Unwanted is still Joel; he’s just too damn cute.

Review:  Dean moves back home near his family after a breakup with his ex. He is a big man and played rugby in school so he joins the local team to make a few friends. One night while playing an opposing team player hits him hard. One of his teammates; a mild-mannered but man even larger than himself, gets even with the other guy. He offers to take Dean home instead of going out with the guys to celebrate.

This is a beautifully written sweet, charming story of two men that have a slight attraction but are not sure of the others sexuality. The characters are likable and very masculine, the storyline is short but sweet, and the sex is hot and sensual.

Recommendation: If you like, two big guys, sweet romance, rugby, and sensual mansex this one is for you.

Review:  Overall, this was a fantastic book. It’s mentally exhausting and an emotional roller coaster ride, but the characters and content keep the reader focused on the bigger picture that Quinn is trying to convey within this book.

Avery has been mentally, physically, and emotionally abused by everyone in his life that mattered. His father died when he was very young leaving him with his mother who constantly reminded him that he was just a botched abortion. His stepfather and step brothers beat him almost daily while belittling and beguiling him along the way. After his mother uses the ill-fated and short-lived firehouse rule to drop him off at a local firehouse he was placed in a group home. Although the abuse was far from over, his life definitely took a turn for the better when he met another young orphan, Sam.

Sam is Avery’s best friend, confident and big brother. Not relations by blood, but bound together by circumstance, these two young men defy traditional barriers of family and make a life that works, for the most part. The straight policeman is comfortable in his role as the protective big brother, but Avery has a feeling that one day Sam will leave him. Enter Noah. Noah is tall, blonde, and broodingly handsome. He first meets Avery in the alley between their places of employment. Avery is obviously leery and downright freaked out as Noah is the poster boy for everything Avery fears. But Noah is immediately smitten with the shy, standoffish young man he meets in the alley.

As the book progresses we learn more of Avery’s back story and the extent of the abuse he’s suffered. We also get to watch Noah court Avery and the slow, gradual process of building trust, falling in love and ultimately proving to Avery that he’s not going to hurt him. That he’s in it to win it!

The content of this book might be difficult for some readers but the writing is stellar. Quinn does a fantastic job of transporting the reader into Avery’s world, so that you feel every emotion along the way. And the usual meaning of the phrase ‘In the Closet’ doesn’t apply in this book. Avery’s closest is more of a sanctuary and has absolutely nothing to do with his sexuality, but I do like the presence of the metaphor and the twist Quinn used for the terminology.

I loved this book, but as far as recommending it… it’s difficult to determine who would or wouldn’t like it. You will be emotionally spent, as the content is detailed and tormented. There isn’t really sex to speak of, but there is a LOT of kissing and a jack off scene that will blow your mind! The story of Avery as he relives his nightmares faces his demons and ultimately falls in love with Noah was breath-taking. As difficult as it is to read Avery’s memories, it’s as equally satisfying to watch him and Noah build their relationship, find trust, and fall deeply in love.

Review: The human race is now a race of soldiers sent out to fight wars for other races, as long as the price is right of course. Intelligence analyst Ilyan has predicted that those races are about to turn on Earth but High Command refuse to listen. Ilyan is forced to run and he is desperate to spread the truth so he goes to those who are on the ground, the soldiers who blindly follow orders of those that have betrayed humanity. Jadeth is one of those soldiers. Jadeth joins up with Ilyan and his small band when the unit he is with is caught up in shellfire, discovering Ilyan’s story he can’t believe the group of nutters are traveling in hostile territories spreading such an outlandish tale, until he remembers an exchange he saw years earlier. Now Jadeth is Ilyan’s guardian keeping the man safe so he can spread the story, but with High Command assassins chasing them, they both know that survival means keeping one foot ahead.

While this story isn’t M/M or a romance it does have, a kinda bromance feel to it as Jadeth gets to know Ilyan. Earth has produced soldiers for other races war for hundreds of years, churning out soldiers is humanities only commodity and they exploit it to the fullest. Ilyan has predicted where war will break out for years, always directing the High Command so they can negotiate a price but when he predicts war will be coming to Earth High Command doesn’t want to know, and Ilyan finds himself on the run spreading the word and dodging the assassins sent after him. Jadeth is just a simple grunt and when he runs across Ilyan’s group he decides to stick with them when he realizes what Ilyan says makes sense, protecting Ilyan becomes his mission and if High Command succeeds then humanity might just be in grave danger.

This is a brilliant science fiction story that has humans doing what they do best, fighting in wars. The storyline is very simple, intelligence agents predict where war will break out, High Command sends out its soldiers to fight for the side that will pay the most, but High Command has a secret, which Ilyan wants to tell everyone so they will believe when he tells them war is coming to Earth. Jadeth finds himself drawn to and protective of Ilyan, both men are straight but there is an undercurrent of admiration. This story carries you across worlds as they spread the truth, avoiding assassins and the High Command and dealing with petty jealousies but betrayal is heading their way and humanity will pay the price.

I recommend this if you love science fiction, futuristic, great characters, a brilliant story, and an ending that will blow you away.

Review: Michael is trapped in a miserable marriage, his daughter Taryn is the only reason he stays, but one rainy day he meets the man of his dreams, Ash. Now, Michael has choices to make that will rock the foundation of his family. Ash just longs for someone to love. When he meets Michael he had no intention of getting involved with a married man, but the connection between them is just too much and Ash falls in love with Michael. Michael has choices to make as he gets pulled apart by his responsibilities, the only thing he fears is losing his daughter and his wife won’t play nice. Ash has choices of his own to make … can Ash really break up a marriage for his own happiness?

This is a very hard story to read if you hate cheating, especially cheating when there is a child involved. The characters, Michael and Ash, are very hard to like for the first half of the book because of the sneaking around and lies being told, but the second half of the book, after the secrets come out, they actually make a great couple. The storyline is pretty basic; a married man who is bisexual and doesn’t love his wife anymore, only staying in the relationship for the sake of his daughter. he meets a man who he falls in love with and he struggles with what he should do. stay with the wife for the daughter’s sake or go to his love and risk losing his daughter?

Both Ash and Michael are good solid characters, getting to know them is hard because of the cheating, it clouds your judgment, but both of them are fundamentally good men. I must admit that I found some of the plot to be too much, nobody dances with death that much. The sex between them is hot, but their relationship gets built on love and hard trials, it is far from easy for Michael and Ash, but Michael’s parents surprise him with their support.

I will recommend this to those who love difficult beginnings, can accept a cheating spouse, difficult trials, deep love and a really good ending.

Review:  Calandra Hunter’s story begins with Harold, a young Englishman, approaching Sigurd to ask for help in finding his sister, kidnapped by Vikings. A Viking himself, Sigurd will have no trouble blending in with the people who took the girl, but Harold will have to pretend to be his thrall during that time.

Except for a few grammatical mistakes, Hunter tells us a great story about a young man’s love for his sister and his courage to find a way to save her, even if it means he has to submit to a different people’s rules. With Sigurd’s help, Harold ends up discovering a new culture and awakening his sexuality.

This is a really good short story for anyone who likes happy endings and a slow built to the romance and sex. The only bad thing about Hunter’s story is that, in the end, you want to know how Harold and Sigurd continue their relationship when faced with a life in a country that frowns upon homosexuality, and how will Harold explain to his parents that he doesn’t intend to marry anyone.

Blurb: A lone man picks up a battle standard cast down three hundred years before, beginning a journey that will lead him to find the lost fleet, and a forgotten ship at the edge of nowhere. Darien Taine must accept his role, guiding his crew on the long road to free their people from Amsus tyranny. Uncovering along the way the sins that led to humanity’s downfall, and re-forging alliances long thought forgotten. Three hundred years of slavery, of persecution and of tyranny are at an end.

Review: Earth no longer belongs to the humans. The Amsus have control in a tight grip and any who breaks one of their laws is sentenced to death. Darien has to flee from Terran (Earth) when he is set up by the Amsus for a murder he didn’t commit, on his journey into space he picks up a motley crew and it begins a journey that leads to the freedom of races and star systems from Amsus control.

Okay. This is a true science fiction story. Of humanity, hundreds of years into the future with advanced technology, alien races and the Amsus’ total control on humanity and its allies. We begin the story with Darien being blamed for a crime that an Amsus has committed; he escapes by the skin of his teeth and desperately leaves the planet trying to stay one-step ahead of the Amsus Inquisitors. On his journey through space to a safe place he picks up a crew, Matt Elias (mainly called just Elias) is the engineer, who can build anything and becomes Darien’s love interest, he meets him on the first station out in space which they barely escape with their lives, they pick up Kendrick on a backwater colony, and then they meet up with Lauren, Nazzien and Shale when they rescue them from pirates. These characters make up the core group, but don’t expect them to be left out of the heartache and betrayal. The Falcon Banner -

We have everything in this story, cover-ups, escapes, explosions, betrayals, firefights, space chases, secrets, amazing battle plans, love, death, and planet and star system jumps, there are also death-defying escapes and rescues and liberating planets. There isn’t anything missing, it is a brilliant science fiction story that comes to life, we get to know the characters pretty well, and we become invested in them, cheering them on as the face insurmountable odds to once again escape from the clutches of the Amsus. This is an incredible well written story, it has great background and world-building and we learn as the story goes on the real reason for the fall of the Empire, and I am so looking forward to the rest of the series, which are sat on my e-reader crying out for me to read them.

I will tell everyone this though; don’t be expecting a huge M/M romance, this book is science fiction first and M/M second, the romance between Darien and Elias was sweet and they do have one beautiful sexual encounter, but the awkward romance is drawn out, it is a very small part of what is happening, and we get flashes of it throughout the book and the poor guys keep getting interrupted.

I am recommending this to those who love science fiction, liberating planets and the human race, with solid characters, a fantastic storyline, betrayal that cuts deep, secrets hidden, incredible technology, huge explosions, sacrifices made and an ending that makes you want to snatch the next book up.

Review:  This is a short script synopsis for a gay porno. The blurb above says it all, I can’t really add much more. The sex is quick and intense. I think if the author turned this into a full-length novel, or a novella even it would be great. There is definitely potential there for a paranormal love story. I have two words for the author though… condoms and lube!

Blurb:A strange wanders into the town of Wolf’s Howl. How will he affect the strange citizens there and how will one lonely rancher affect the stranger? As the moon changes, so do the feelings one man has for another, in the wild Montana land.

The weather in Montana in mid-May was just as cold as any of its southern states in their winter months. In the afternoon sun, people were walking around wearing thick sweaters and pants with the stereotypical cowboy boots. The town of Wolf’s Howl was pretty isolated from any other populace, with its occupants being close-knit. Everyone knew everyone else, neighbors were open and kind to each other, and life was good. The men would go out and hunt, corral the horses, or work in the stores. The women would do much the same, as the jobs were sexless in their demands. Plus no true man of Wolf’s Howl would dare tell a woman of Wolf’s Howl that she was incapable of doing something, unless he wished to spend his night sleeping out on the living room couch or even in the barn with the animals. Overall, life was fairly uneventful in town, with hardly any newcomers arriving to the remote settlement.

So when a stranger walked in on foot, it made quick news with everybody.

Review: Drev comes into Wolf’s Howl to escape from his past. He is heartbroken and betrayed by his family and the man he thought loved him. He wants a new start. The town is strange. Though it’s cold, most of the people are dressed in just jeans and shirts. The townspeople don’t seem too friendly, but Drev doesn’t have much to say anyhow. He just wants a job. A handsome stranger intervenes during a bar brawl and takes Drev in and offers him a job. Is he offering more than just a job though?

I found this story interesting and sweet. It’s a basic boy meets boy, one has a secret, etc. The story moves smoothly though it doesn’t give many details about either character.

Recommendation: If you like Werewolves, western towns, secrets and a short sweet love story this is for you.

Blurb: Every high school has its social elite; the football players and cheerleaders … you know the popular crowd. At Butler High, Jack Barely was as close to the top as they came. Captain of the swim team, great hair, and abs that most would die for. However, that was all before the Leeches attacked, taking away everything: his popularity, his house, his grandmother, and even his best friend, Caleo, whom he secretly loved.

Now, living in a destroyed world, popularity means nothing as Jack struggles just to keep him and his twin sister, Jillian, alive. With attacks happening more frequently, Jack starts to wonder why they are even bothering to try to hold onto the past when it just reminds him of all they have lost. Just when he has given up hope, Jack hears a rumor that Caleo is still alive and sets out on a mission to find him. But will Jack make it to finally tell Caleo how he really feels?

Review: This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Jack was the swim team captain at school before everything fell apart, now he is just trying to survive with his sister, Jillian, after losing Caleo, his grandmother, his house and well just about everything. Dealing with attacks is hard, discovering Caleo might be alive drives him to try to find him, but danger lurks everywhere and rescuing Caleo is much harder than he thought, but getting Caleo back is all he can think of.

This story picks up three months after the end of Caleo and is Jack’s story. Jack is still reeling over the loss of Caleo, he never got the chance to tell Caleo how he really felt about him and now he never will. But, when Jack is visited by Caleo’s ghost and is convinced to return to their old high school, it leads to a discovery that has Jack determined to find Caleo and tell him how he really feels. Jack has quite the adventure in this story, rescuing captured humans and dealing with Leeches and he also has to deal with his own jealousy and getting through to Caleo.

I really enjoyed this story and having it from Jack’s POV, seeing his grief and regrets and then his joy and confidence, his jealousy and his strength showed how much of a well-rounded character he was. The storyline is again action pack with danger and angst, it also has loss and anger as well as hope. Nolan returns and we also see Steve again and we finally get to meet Alix, and discover just how twisted some of the Leeches have become. With this story we see how humans come together to survive the hardships thrown at them, crawling out of the ashes to rebuild. I won’t delve further into the book, but if you read Caleo, then you won’t want to miss this book.

I have to recommend this if you love Young Adult stories, paranormal, danger, angst, young love, humor, capture, escapes, death, and anger. And, with an ending that leaves us panting for the next book Nolan.

Blurb: Aaron Taylor is a hustler, the dream everyone wants to come true. He has been working at an escort company for the past few months and just when life seems to have gotten better and he is beginning to think that he has a grasp of this line of work, his handler sends him to a new client. Vincent Greene looks like he might just be Aaron’s best client yet but Aaron doesn’t know that Vincent’s cruelty will end up becoming his worst nightmare.

Warning: This book contains scenes of rape, abuse, forced drug abuse and attempted suicide that may disturb some readers.

Review: Aaron works for an escort service providing sex to the highest bidders. He has fallen for one of his clients, but knows there is no future for them. When Aaron is sent to a new client it looks like it might be an enjoyable night, but Vincent has plans for Aaron that turns Aaron’s world into a nightmare.

This is a great story if you are looking for a dark erotica of torment with hidden hope. Aaron is callously taken from his world and shut into a nightmare, beaten and raped to break him down and turn him into a perfect slave. Vincent is a man who only cares about the money. Aaron is just another body, who will turn him a profit. But, first, he has to break him. Aaron has a secret hope though and clings to it during his darkest hours. Vincent begins to fall under Aaron’s spell, even as he tries to break Aaron down.

This story is not for the faint of heart. It is brutal, descriptive, bloody, and nasty. There is a light at the end of the tunnel though. But, that tunnel is long and the light keeps flickering, but it give us, the reader, and hope. Aaron finds himself a prisoner due to his callous bosses. Now he is in the hands of sadist and all Aaron has to cling to is the love he felt for one of his clients. You can’t help but have hope that Aaron will find a way out. But it isn’t a strong hope as you see everything that Aaron goes through. There are no feelings other than loathing for Vincent. There are no redeeming qualities about him, even as he seems to soften towards Aaron. The sexual aspects to this story are all non-con. There is one scene where it isn’t as harsh, but only because Aaron loses himself in fantasy. While Aaron suffers through his nightmare existence, the client he fell for is going through his own crisis and is searching for Aaron. That is something that gives us hope. Especially, when he discovers some of what has happened.

This isn’t a story to read if you like light and fluffy, happily ever after or consensual sex. It’s the story to read if you want harsh and brutal. If you want to see someone being broken or if you want to hold tight to the hope that rescue will eventually come.

Review: Gage has spent the last ten years as an international investigative photojournalist. He is about to retire and open his own art gallery, but he has one last special report to finish. A report that has been six years in the making and while he puts the final changes to his report, he oversees the remodeling of his gallery. Trent is an electrical contractor who gets a last-minute electrical gig for an art gallery. he is surprised by the owner and even more surprised when the man makes a pass at him. Trent has his children to think of and makes sure all parts of his life are separated, but Gage tempts him to mix business with pleasure.

This is a wonderful family story that has a fantastic romance and a very surprising twist. Gage has always been a very short-term type of man. He has travelled all over the world and now it is his time to retire and settle down, opening his own art gallery in Chicago. Gage never expects the love of his life to walk through his doors. But, when he does, Gage will do everything in his power to win his man and keep him and his family safe. Even if it means giving up his final dream. Trent hasn’t had much time for men. He has his children to think of, and so when he walks onto a new job site meeting, Gage knocks him for six. Being romanced by Gage slowly erodes Trent’s walls and they quickly fall in love. But, a twist of fate nearly rips them apart and could throw Trent’s family into danger.

The characters of this book are just incredible. Each and every one of them will worm their way into your heart. Gage is a wonderful man, who pursues Trent with all his wooing skills. Trent is a fantastic father, who deserves to be romanced. And his children, Hunter and Emalynn, are brilliant, and add a touch of sweetness to the story. The romance is nicely paced and I liked that Trent didn’t just jump into Gage’s arms straight away. I liked that he put his kids first and that they were an integral part of the story. I thought Gage’s determination to romance Trent was sweet, but I did think he got a bit clingy at times. I also thought that Gage’s reaction to the twist was a bit over the top, but kind of understandable. Trent handled it just right and was much more forgiving than I would have been. Gage really comes through for Trent and his family though. and you really can’t help but love a man who would go to the lengths that he did. The storyline is good with an added twist that for some reason didn’t quite surprise me. Why I don’t know, but I wasn’t really shocked by the twist.

I will recommend this to those that love family stories, hot men coming together and discovering love, a twist that will raise eyebrows and a very happy ending.

Review:  What an emotional ride this was! Whoa, I absolutely loved this novel. Yes, there were times I wanted to strangle Joey, the main guy, but at the end, he came through.

Okay, this very interesting novel stars Joey. Now, Joey is a very sexually confuse jock who would let his geeky friend, Darwin, blow him from time to time. Joey lived for the game and his dad would bully him to make him better (Yeah, what an asshole!). I hated Joey’s dad more than anything in the word. Joey’s relationship with his dad reminded me so much of One Tree Hill’s Nathan Scott with his father.

I don’t want to give the plot away, but this book was really good. Joey went through a lot in his senior year as he came face to face with his sexual orientation. My heart went out to Darwin. He went through hell for Joey, but at the end, everyone found happiness.

This novel is fascinating and I cannot recommend it enough. Yes, there will be times that you would want to kill Joey and Darwin, but just keep on reading and you will end up loving it as much as I did.

Blurb:   “Skylar is my name, tragically.”

Sixteen-year-old Skylar is witty, empathetic, sensitive–and mute. Skylar hasn’t uttered a single word since his mother died eleven years ago, a senseless tragedy he’s grateful he doesn’t have to talk about.

When Skylar’s father mysteriously vanishes one summer afternoon, Skylar is placed in the temporary custody of his only remaining relative, an estranged grandmother living on an Indian reservation in the middle of arid Arizona.

Adapting to a brand new culture is the least of Skylar’s qualms. Because Skylar’s mother did not die a peaceful death. Skylar’s mother was murdered eleven years ago on the Nettlebush Reserve. And her murderer left behind a son.

And he is like nothing Skylar has ever known.

Review:  Gives Light is a very touching story. This novel stars Skyler St. Clair, a half Native American boy who lost his mom when he was six. His mom was murdered at their home and he was attacked by her attacker that slit his throat, rendering him mute. I really liked this story, but it just wasn’t for me.

After Sky father’s disappears one day, he goes to the police and he’s put under the protection of his grandmother at a Native American Reserve. Skyler and his dad left the reserve many years ago after the murder of his mother. It is there where he meets Rafael, the son of his mom’s murderer and that’s where the story takes off.

I really liked this novel. I just don’t know why it didn’t appeal to me. The story was well written and planned out. It instantly pulls you into a very rich and cultural world. My respect goes to the Native Americans in the USA. Their culture is rich and very inspirational. Sadly, this novel was not for me. I did appreciate the culture portrayed in this novel though. It was really sweet and a learning experience.

I recommend this novel to anyone who wants to read a very detailed and cultural novel about friendship, love, family, and forgiveness.

Will Mal stay around long enough for Jamison to figure out his secrets or will this stranger leave him wanting more?

Reviewer:   Pammie

Review:  This story starts with a puzzle and ends with an enigma. Who, or what, is Mal? Jamison seems to accept everything too easily, and even when provoked into shooting, is unemotional over what’s happened. He may not initially accept demons exist, but makes no attempt to dig deeper and find out more about the man he rescued.

I wish I’d felt the story was creepy. The author uses this word, but I found it slow and maddening instead. I really wanted some meaty interaction between Mal and Jamison.

The author doesn’t make it clear that this was part of a series, and there’s no indication how many parts there will be.

However, if you enjoy series with cliffhanger endings, paranormal/demon, with a side dish of frustration, this is one for you.

Blurb: Horse shifter, Tristan Hayes, doesn’t believe in relationships. He believes in hot, sweaty one-night stands that leave him aching for days.

Private investigator, Wesley James, is looking for someone to settle down with, but it’s never occurred to him that someone could be a man.

Tristan loves a good game, so he flirts with Wes, never thinking anything serious will come of his attraction. Wes fends him off, but after three months of cat and mouse, both men are worn out from fighting what they feel.

When a young woman from Tristan’s herd goes missing, he asks for Wes’s help. Tristan keeps up his flirtatious façade until Wes calls his bluff, taking him out for dinner and dancing. As they search for the missing shifter, Tristan struggles to believe Wes could care for the man Tristan hides beneath his abrasive exterior.

Review: This book is part of a series and is best read in order. After being hurt in the past, Tristan no longer believes in relationships. He believes in hot hook-ups and one-night stands to keep him satisfied and he can’t resist flirting with Wes and tempting the straight man. Wesley is looking for something serious. He never thought it would be with a man. A man he has tried to ignore for the last few months. When a member of Tristan’s herd goes missing, he calls Wes to investigate. Tristan keeps up his flirting nature until Wes calls his bluff. As they search for the missing woman, Tristan struggles with his feelings and Wes has to show Tristan he sees beneath the abrasive façade.

This is a great addition to the Wild R Farm series, bringing Tristan’s story to us and showing us the insecure man beneath the confident, flirtatious exterior. Tristan has been trying to tempt Wes with his constant flirting for months, but when Wes calls his bluff he doesn’t know what he wants to do because Wes just isn’t one-night stand material. Wes has never been tempted by a man before. He has always been attracted to women, but Tristan just pushes his buttons. Now, he just needs to convince Tristan of Tristan’s own worth.

I really enjoyed this story because of the turmoil that Tristan goes through as he tries to make sense of what he truly feels. Tristan was hurt deeply by his first love and it has molded how Tristan now acts towards men. When Wes calls his bluff he is left reeling. Wes can see the true Tristan and he wants that man. Convincing Tristan is hard though, especially when Tristan keeps running. The investigation that they both work on takes a harsh turn when they think they have found the location of the missing woman and they need the help of their friends to get back out alive.

This is a really well written story that combines danger and love really well. We see depths to Tristan that scares him and we see Wes accept his love for Tristan. I really liked how their relationship developed in this story and Tristan’s reaction to his newly discovered feelings for Wes. With Wes you see that he may have struggled at first with how he felt for Tristan, but he embraces it when he can no longer deny it to himself. They are brilliant together and Wes has to be patient as Tristan struggles with how he feels. Because of that painful struggle, you, at times, want to beat the crap out of the person who shattered Tristan so much.

I recommend this to those who love cowboys, private investigators, danger, discovering your own worth, accepting love, hot sex, difficult times and a very happy ending.
