Review: Jake is on the run after witnessing a murder by a ruthless motorcycle gang. Their enforcer Nick is tasked with the issue of getting rid of him. But Jake is tired of killing. He finds that Jake is innocent and does not want to kill him so decides to sacrifice himself instead.

What proceeds is a fast paced story of two men willing to do whatever it takes to make sure they both stay alive. A great beginning to a series that enthralled me from the beginning. I loved both Jake and Nick and found myself on the edge of my seat waiting the final outcome.

Great read.

Review: This was a strange yet interesting read. John is suddenly thrust into a weird sense of time as he takes a job that will take a month to complete. All the while there are certain elements that come into play that leave reader wondering what is going on, what is real, what is in the past.

Samuel I could never figure out exactly what he was. The description given did not help much either. So I was at a loss as to what he was. But, I still adored the two of them. It seemed that every time the two came together something or someone was trying to tear them apart.

Loved the details, mystery and characters in this story. So far I have only read two books in this series and neither are connected.

Great read.

They manage to keep their romance under the radar until they are reassigned to a classified mission to retrieve the probes—aboard a ship where they’re clearly not welcome. Review: When I saw who the authors were of this story I knew that I had to read it. They write stories that give you a world that has a bit of humor to it even though they have more of a serious tone to them. They also give you sexy men with a lot of depth and detail to them; it feels like you know them. After seeing the cover of the book, I can tell you my eyes went wide and my jaw dropped. What I wouldn’t give to have a man like that.

This is a bit of an oddball story to me, but it was a lot of fun. You get gorgeous men in uniform who are working in outerspace. David and Blake saw each other and knew what they wanted. David is a corporal and Blake was a private, but it didn’t seem to mind with these guys. They are very hot together.

Then while in space one saves the other, and it gets real close for a while there. They came close to death and were going to be in deep trouble with the military. Then more danger surfaced and it was up to them and their friends to keep everyone safe. I must admit that this story is a bit harder to get into and difficult to follow in some parts. The marines have a saying about not leaving any many behind, and these two are definitely backing that saying. I love how protective they are of each other, but that they are still marines.

The story itself is an amazing story but the last few pages seemed a bit forced to me, like they were trying to rush the ending a bit. Other than that, it was a great read. I had fun with it and couldn’t stop reading once I started. I love the author’s gift that they have.

I would definitely recommend this book.

Review: Oh my goodness I loved this story. It’s rare where you read a story about grown men shifting into baby shifters. The ones introduced in this story were so cute and adorable. Baby shifters basically have no rights. Their mates get to decide their jobs for them. I have to admit this pissed me off. Yes they shift into baby shifters but they are still grown adults.

Nick’s character was a blast to read. He was cheeky, sarcastic and intent on his remaining part of the team despite his baby shifter status. Sam, an Alpha lion shifter and leader of the team, is shocked when he discovers Nicky’s secret. He tries to keep Nicky out of danger by telling him what to do which does not go over to well.

I liked the whole teams acceptance of Nicky and Connor. Sam and Nicky work things out in their own time. I hope this will become a series as a few questions remained unanswered especially about the culprits EFSS and the other Alpha Unit team that was ambushed. I want to read more about all these teams and what happens.

Fantastic and intriguing read.

Review: Great story about the differences between populations, mystery and romance. I loved both Daveth and Jory. They both fascinated for different reasons. Daveth’s determination to do better for himself inspired me. Jory’s a mystery that had me from the start. I enjoyed reading about him immensely.

While they are getting to know one another they are both caught up in a mystery that they desperately try to understand. While some of the story had me scratching my head it fit with the overall setting. Nothing is as it seems and trust is something both men need if they are to survive.

Twists and turns are around every corner in this fascinating tale. I truly loved the dynamics as Jory and Daveth fought to keep ahead of the surprises that awaited them. Great cast of characters that added to an already good story.

Great read.

Review: I came across S.C. Wynne not too long ago and right off the bat I found a new author to love. S.C. Wynne’s stories are well written, fully developed and perfectly paced. The story just seemed to flow right off the pages. I knew after I finished this story that I was going to be broke because I am going to go get the rest of her books because damn they sound good.

Jason’s relationship with his father was a dream; however his relationship with his mother was the exact opposite. She was in fact not a mother at all, especially when he came out gay. So over four years ago when he turned eighteen, he left and tried never to come back. Now he has to go back as his mother is dying from cancer. He hated to go back but knew he had to. Then he met Adam.

Adam was more than just the grounds keeper; he seemed to be just magic. He had the gift to make someone relax. Adam however wanted Jason in more ways than one. He just had to help him reconnect with his mother, show him a reason to stay and help him to heal. On top of all that they needed to figure out whom the hell wanted Jason out of the way.

It comes off a bit heavy and very emotional with a lot of heat. It also has mystery added in, with a touch of danger and even a bit of pain. I loved the way these guys just mixed and how they seemed to always engage pretty well. So much so that there is a humorous banter between them, that it kicks it up for me. For the first time in my life, there was very little sex involved and it didn’t bother me. It was just so damn cute and tempting with quite a bit of heat.

I had so much fun reading this and look forward to reading more by this author. I would definitely recommend it.

Review: Let me start off by saying usually I am not a fan of using the same MC’s from another book in a separate book because well honestly you learn most all you need to know about them in the first book so the second seems lacking. Not so in this tale as it’s about Lucas and the gang, wedding plans and a visit to Snow and Lucas’ hometown.

There were times I wanted to get to the good stuff, action, and there were others were I wanted to know more about what was going on. But all in all it was a decent read with a fair amount of drama, action and love for all to keep reading.

Facing their pasts was hard for both Snow and Lucas who left many years before and found a new family for themselves. I loved the struggles portrayed as well as realizing the past can not hurt you unless you let it. Andreas jealousy was a thing of beauty for Lucas. There was quite a bit of characters who added to the story as it progressed.

All in all it was great read and addition to the series.

Review:  I never thought that I would be a fan of this type of book but then again in this story they really are not what one would expected.  They are infected and changed, even those who are born infected such as our sexy private detective.  He is different from all the others.

I was impressed with the fact that it was one of those stories that you just couldn’t put down till you finished the story. Although I have to say that the first part dragged on for way to long.  I think if it didn’t have all the added stuff to it; it would have gone way above what it ended up being for me.

I love the fact that it doesn’t follow the normal stereotype of paranormal.  In this story it means that a shifter can turn into their big cat just like a werewolf does, during the cycle of the moon.  It can be spread just like sexual diseases, through blood and semen so it is easy to become infected.  Just like many infections you could change or you could die.  It really just depends on how strong you are, and if you are younger then you have more of a chance to survive.  I love the world this author created for her readers and damn the guys are hot.

Roan is an ex-cop now private detective who tries to solve the crimes involving other infected.  He was born an infected and changed into a big ass lion. Roan is so different from the others; in the fact that he is not ill nor is he disfigured like so many others.  He is a bit snarky and can be a pain in the ass, where as the man he has fallen in love with is the opposite of him.

Paris is a tiger shifter and he is a people person.  It is what got him infected in the first place.  He is gorgeous and a bit stuck into himself or should I say vain.  Now while we have the two love birds, we also get several different mysteries going on.  From missing people to find to a very crazy group of religious nuts jobs, a cat that is on the loose and needs to be put down in my mind, to a group that hates those infected and lots of trouble in between.

Now like I said this story starts off very slow and almost cause me to put the book down with disinterest, it slowly built into a pretty awesome story.  I wasn’t too sure about the fact that the author put so much into this story but it turned out that it worked.  The complexity of the characters and what was going on kept my attention longer than I thought it would.  I loved the little twists that I found in it also.

I loved the romance our two sexy guys have going on and can’t wait to hear more about them in the future. I didn’t much care for the clichés that were in this story, nor the gay remarks that were throughout it but what can I say there is always something that you will find in all stories that you won’t much like.  It doesn’t take away from the book at all though, so it was all good.  I enjoyed reading it, but can admit that it won’t be one of those series that I read back to back.  I also can’t see myself reading it more than once, but it is very interesting.  It is just way too long for me to want to even read it twice, once is good enough for me.

Other than my little issues, this is one story that I would definitely recommend.

Review: According to the blurb someone is trying to kill Marc. However once the cameras and bodyguard Royce are in place there is no long term investigation which shocked me. The most I read was Royce making sure the house was secure and keeping a watch out at night. He only checked the cameras once. Most of the book was centered on Royce and Marc’s relationship which started out of the blue.

There was a secondary plot as Royce comes face to face with his past and has to deal with that aspect as well. This book was not as good a read for me as the first two were. It almost seemed like it was rushed in certain places and filled in at the last minute in others. That’s not to say it was not a good addition to the series because it was.

All in all it was a good read.

Review: This is the first book by this author that I have read and I must say that this author has one hell of a gift. I am not much into mysteries however this story gives you a different perspective. I have to admit that it was a spooky story that is for sure. I wasn’t really sure what to really think about it but I did enjoy reading it.

I liked how Rick made multiple personality disorder seem so intriguing. Although, the truth does come out in the end. John was a sweet young man, but he has multiple personalities in him. He was Vera, who I have to admit was a bit harder to figure out, and then there was Cole. Cole was a very cruel man, loved to cause pain and a killer. He had moved with his little brother Shane to get away from the past. It would seem the past has caught up with them.

Jeremy had come across Shane and John, when John pushed Shane down the stairs. He was falling for Shane but his fear of John or Cole was making it hard. Rick was able to bring these characters to life and gave them such a detailed depth, that it makes you feel like you are there with them. I felt for Shane but loved Jeremy a bit more. He put his neck out for Shane but Shane loved his brother. The problem is his brother is nuts.

This author has made me believe every word that came out and had me captivated in the story. I couldn’t put the book down. There are sexy neighbors, secrets, violence, false identities and an amazing plot twist to this story that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Now I admit this story was not for me, but that is because I am more for stories that are happy, cheerful and quirky which this story definitely is not. I did have fun reading it though. However I will probably be sleeping with the lights on and probably will never date again after reading this.

I would definitely recommend this story to any one that is looking for a good mystery with a bit of romance in it.

Review: S.C. Wynne has come up with another good story. I have not read many of this authors stories but the ones I have read were always fascinating. Now I am not one for new adults or college students but this one was pretty damn good.

The story is told in the first person point of view which kind of drives me a bit nuts. I always want to hear from both characters to get into the way they both feel at all times. The only issues I had with this book was the way it read, seeming like a diary or journal type of story which for me loses interest pretty fast. However I loved the way the characters just came together for me.

Brett is having fun at school, but he just can’t seem to get into math. He definitely needs a bit of help. He is afraid of letting his father down. Jeremy seems good at first but he is not all that he seems. Brett must trust his friends but the problem is his tutor turns up to be crazy after they ended things. Things are about to heat up, when Brett gets involved with Sam.

I liked Sam the most; however Brett comes off a bit needy. Now with this story it seems like there are stories mixed in with the original story. Like Brett and his dad for one.

It was a great story and I did enjoy reading it. It has hot sex, suspense, action and a bit of quirk to it. I would definitely recommend it.

Detective Mitch O’Neill is the ideal man to infiltrate the Soldiers of Fury Motorcycle Club. His ex-boyfriend, Peter, is pledged with the club, which provides Mitch with the perfect cover. Despite the relationship ending badly, he’s come to terms with Peter’s drug addiction and his inability to help. All Mitch wants now is to bring down the Soldiers and the club president, Rocky Cummings, once and for all.

Finn Cummings hates everything the motorcycle club stands for, but he’s unable to escape his brother’s clutches. When Mitch is assigned as Finn’s driver, they spend countless hours together, and the saying proves true—opposites do attract. Finn agonizes over his feelings for Mitch—the last thing he wants is to involve himself further with criminals, not when he wants to leave that world. Mitch tries to come to terms with falling for a member of the outlaw club he’s determined to destroy.

If they can survive the fallout from Rocky’s violence and the investigation, they might discover it’s not a case of opposites attract after all.

Blurb: Aubrey Grant lives in the tropical paradise of Old Town, Key West, has a cute cottage, a sweet moped, and a great job managing the historical property of a former sea captain. With his soon-to-be-boyfriend, hotshot FBI agent Jun Tanaka, visiting for a little R&R, not even Aubrey’s narcolepsy can put a damper on their vacation plans.

But a skeleton in a closet of the Smith Family Historical Home throws a wrench into the works. Despite Aubrey and Jun’s attempts to enjoy some time together, the skeleton’s identity drags them into a mystery with origins over a century in the past. They uncover a tale of long-lost treasure, the pirate king it belonged to, and a modern-day murderer who will stop at nothing to find the hidden riches. If a killer on the loose isn’t enough to keep Aubrey out of the mess, it seems even the restless spirit of Captain Smith is warning him away.

The unlikely partnership of a special agent and historian may be exactly what it takes to crack this mystery wide-open and finally put an old Key West tragedy to rest. But while Aubrey tracks down the X that marks the spot, one wrong move could be his last.

Review: Aubrey and FBI agent Jun have plans to start their relationship off with two weeks of sightseeing and enjoying each other to the fullest. What they do not expect is finding a skeleton in the closet and investigating a murder.

I loved the perfect blend of the MC’s romance and the mystery throughout the story. The mystery itself was fascinating. I loved all the details surrounding the investigation.

Murder, mystery, romance, treasure and a great cast of characters made for an amazing story. I found I could not stop reading from beginning to the end.

Fantastic read.

Blurb: Geoffrey Ralse is known for being the life of the party. He loves the club scene, hanging with his friends, and flirting with whomever catches his eye. He certainly isn’t going to stop living his life just because some would-be stalker starts sending him threats.

But it all changes when Geoffrey is drugged and wakes up half naked in his own home with a new message from his stalker.

He needs help and there’s only one person he trusts…

Protective Agent Sven Larsen has been fighting Geoffrey’s flirtatious advances for months, even though he’s impossibly drawn to the man. There’s no way he can be around him twenty-four/seven and not finally crack. But one look at Geoffrey’s haunted eyes, and he knows there’s no way he’s letting Geoffrey walk out of Ward Security without him.

Even if it means breaking his own rules, he will keep Geoffrey safe.

Trigger warning: There is a very short section with sexual assault that some could find upsetting.

Review: We met Geoffrey in the Unbreakable Bonds series when he was infatuated with Snow and helped Luca, Ian, Snow and Rowe. Now Geoffrey needs their help as he has a stalker that won’t quite. Worse yet this stalker is taking things physical. Geoffrey is scared and knows only Sven can keep him safe.

Sven has a rule. No fraternization with the clients. Even though Sven thinks Geoffrey is cute he holds his emotions in check. Bu when Geoffrey asks for him to protect him Sven can not say no as he does not trust anyone else to keep Geoffrey safe.

Suspenseful and intriguing this story leads you into Geoffrey trying to figure out who is after him and why while refusing to let the situation make him hide away. Sven has his hands full trying to keep the man safe. The stalker took me by surprise as I thought it was someone else. It was refreshing that I was proven wrong.

Intense with twists and turns this story keep you on the edge of your seat. Wonderfully written with the right amount of hotness between Geoffrey an Sven thrown into the seriousness of the plot. I loved it an highly recommend it. But I suggest you read the Unbreakable series first as it is connected to this series.

Review: Each book in the Marshals collection features our very sexy US Marshals. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. In my opinion I would actually start with the A Matter of Times series because that is where you will get to meet our sexy men’s boss.

Miro and Ian have been work partners for over three years, but time has changed quite a lot. Now they are partners in life as is with work and things really are not changing in my mind. They are both stubborn, feisty and down right crazy. As with many starting a relationship, things are up and dwon till you get it right, or close to it as you can get. When one of Miro’s most dangerous arrest escapes from prison, Miro knows the man is going to come after him.

Ian is a very touch special forces member as well as a marshal, but it is Miro’s touch that he needs to keep him grounded. So when Miro goes missing, you can guess what is happening to Ian. These two are only starting out and you can feel the heat from them both. However Miro wants to get married but Ian is still not in that mindset. He just doesn’t understand why Miro wants it so bad, that is until he almost looses the man.

Now as much as I love this book, I don’t really care for all of the extra stuff added in and smaller plot lines that you can see coming out. To me when you add in a lot of extra dialog, descriptions or just fluff it takes away from the story just a bit. I get tired of reading it and skim over all that extra nonsense. It doesn’t mean that I don’t love the story quite a bit, but I get bored with all of it. To me it just feels like the author is adding stuff to make her word count. Now other than that, this story is very fast pace and will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I can’t wait to see what the next book has going on. This is one book I would definitely recommend.

Review:
Brown-Eyed Devil 01 – Brown-Eyed Devil ♥♥♥♥♥ 4.75 Hearts
Due to a curse in the family line Myron is turning into a beast. Meanwhile kids at the school are disappearing. Anoki, a necromancer has been tasked tasked to stop the disappearances. Myron and Anoki team up to stop what is happening. These characters worked well together throughout. I truly enjoyed this story from beginning to end. The fight scenes were terrifying.
Brown-Eyed Devil 0# 2 – Red Rogue ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
The sequel to Brown-Eyed Devil follows Anoki as he goes on a quest to remove the curse on Myron’s family so they can be together. What follows is much more than Anoki knew about. More action scenes, demons and a powerful mother stand in the way of the secrets behind the curse being placed. Anoki’s family is dangerous, eventually his estranged father comes back to offer his aid. A truly wonderful story that takes the reader on a journey through danger, secrets and a whole cast of paranormal beings that leave the reader spellbound. I loved it.
Made Man ♥♥♥♥ 3 1/2 Hearts
Lots of twists, angst and drama surround Kevin and Eli. Kevin tries to be a gentlemen about things and Eli is quite the opposite in wanting to charge ahead. This is weird story with two men separated in high school only to reunite later on in life with Eli investigating Kevin’s father’s criminal activities. It was an o.k. read with an abrupt ending and no resolution.
Loss of Heart ♥♥♥♥ 4 Hearts
Such a heartbreaking, emotional story about Daryl and Adam who’ve decided to commit to each other and get married. Before that happens an intruder breaks into the house while Adam is at work and rapes Daryl. Though the scene is brief it’s after affects are powerful and felt long after the ordeal is over. Daryl struggles to live again without fear and guilt while Adam continues to support him in every way. I have to say what pissed me off was the attacker got away despite Daryl scratching him. The police should have been able to catch him via his DNA so that confused me.
Dallas in Wonderland ♥♥♥ 3 Hearts
Dallas, Johnny and Miguel each have their own baggage to carry in this story. Each character is well developed and described. As a matter of fact half the book is just that. Each men needed the other in some way throughout which I really liked. Another thing I liked was the one sex scene. Many times authors over do the sex scenes to the point where there’s more sex than actual story but not in this case. Wonderfully written this is a story about three different men who come together and heal the others wounds so to speak.
Love Turned Blue ♥♥♥♥ 3 1/2 Hearts
Slade and Bruno start a relationship only to have it jeopardised by several things. Slade was married to a woman and had a son before getting divorced. Now the thirteen year old Kent is coming to stay with his father. What will he do when he finds out his dad’s actually gay and that he’s dating a man? Bruno and kids do not mix well so the news of Slade’s son coming to stay makes him doubtful that things will work out. In the end they work things out.
Eyes on Sparrow ♥♥♥♥ 3.75 Hearts
Morgan is on summer break and about to go off to college. Sparrow is a construction worker working across the street. Sparrow catches Morgans eye. They start a relationship only to have it jeopardised by Morgan’s immanent departure until he finally stands up for what he wants to his parents. I enjoyed the story and especially Morgan finally taking up for himself and not allowing someone else to control his life.
