Blurb: Jared Watson has everything a person could dream of having. He’s the hottest country music sensation to hit the charts in years. He travels the world doing what he loves, but something is missing. No matter where he goes, security follows. His manager is always calling or on his case, and no matter where he goes, fans are hounding him for autographs. He would give anything for just a couple days away. A chance to go back to being a nobody.

With two weeks off, Jared finds himself ditching his security team after his last show, desperate to figure out a way to go into hiding for a couple days and relax. Maybe find that missing part of the person he used to be.

When he meets Scott, the chef at the arena he just performed at, and is offered the perfect escape, he takes him up on it. Little does he know, the one night will change his life forever.
Scott treats him like a normal person, not the music idol he is, and their friendship grows.

After years of hiding, he is finally free to be himself and live the life he left behind for fame and fortune. Trouble is, he only has two weeks before he has to be back on the road. Leaving his freedom behind, let alone Scott, might be more than he can bear.

Review: Lost In the Crowd is a very sweet, enjoyable novel. It can be read in one setting, but besides that, you don’t want to put it down. If you have never read anything by E.M. Leya, first of all, you are missing out, and secondly, this is a great read by an amazingly talented author.

I don’t like to rehash the blurb, but it really hits the mark with the context of this story. Jared is a musician, and is on the top of his career. He is financially secure, he has #1 hits on the charts, he has a loving and supporting family, and he is adored by his fans. Sounds pretty nice, doesn’t it? It should be everything he has ever wanted, and for the most part, it is. He’s been doing this gig for 11 years with very little time to himself. He is rundown, fed up, and at the end of his rope. He just wants a few days to himself, try to re-group, rest, and do it all over again. Doesn’t sound like a bad request, right? The only problem though, his manager, Ben, won’t leave him alone. So Jared takes the situation, into his own hands. He escapes his security team, after a concert, and ends up hiding in the kitchen, of the arena, he just performed. What’s he gonna do, now, since he has given them the shaft? Where will he go and not be recognized? He didn’t really think it thru, he just needed to go.

It seems this may be his lucky day. In the kitchen is Scott, the chef, who recognizes Jared, but he doesn’t make a big deal about it. He offers to help by giving him a hiding place, but more than that, he opens his home to him for two weeks. Scott finds Jared very attractive and sexy. Once he finds out that he is also gay, he lets the attraction take over. They have amazing chemistry. They have an undeniable connection, so they put it to good use. Jared may be burnt out in his career, but he is all fireworks in the bedroom, or the couch, possibly the kitchen table, anywhere that has a flat surface, they put it to use. Two weeks, that’s all they have. Neither wanted to form any attachments, they both know their time is limited. Will they be able to call it quits? Do they even want too? Over several weeks of phone calls, they answer these questions. I was pleasantly surprised with the decisions they made.

Even, though, this is a relatively short story, the author does an incredible job stretching the time frame to accommodate their schedules and previously committed responsibilities. I would probably still consider this an insta-love story, but it works for them. If you are looking for a feel-good, no angst story, you should definitely give this a go. This is the perfect book for a day at the beach, or sitting at home curled up in a blanket. E.M. Leya has many wonderful stories, including this one, which everyone should take the time to read. You will be glad you did. This is a very sexy, fun-filled, novel that I truly enjoyed.

Blurb: Can Thomas help Matt forget the past?

Matt has been visiting the lake for time alone to sort through his feelings over the break-up with his ex, Jack. He feeds a heron, the only constant in his life, and ponders on the future. One day, a man appears and sits beside him—Thomas, who seems to understand Matt’s inner turmoil.

Review: Matt has been heartbroken after a terrible breakup with his past lover. Jack didn’t only leave, but chose to humiliate Matt as well. Matt takes solace in the peace and quiet he finds at the lake. He is content to sit, think, and feed a heron that welcomes him each day.
Thomas has been waiting and watching for Matt. He just hopes that when Matt finds out his secret he will be able to accept who and what he is.

I thought this was absolutely beautiful. I found it poetic and magical as well as sexy and emotional. I love the artistic concepts in this story and the sensual but hot mansex.

If you like deep emotional stories, short and sweet, herons, Angels, tranquillity, and some sensual mansex this is for you!

Blurb: When Cupid conspires with Venus to play a prank on the stoic god of the sea, he has no idea that his tin-plated arrow will unleash the undersea scandal of the century.

Cupid is always up for a prank, as long as it doesn’t interfere with his football matches, pub brawls, and gambling. When Venus asks her son to strike Neptune, Cupid should have considered why his mother was so interested…or maybe he just should have drunk a little less ambrosia.

Neptune is a stoic sea god, untouched by love. That is until something happens and Neptune sings his love for—Amphitrite? A woman who hates him and until recently, whom Neptune scarcely noticed. But there was a witness–and Neptune knows exactly whose tin arrow is to blame.

Cupid ends up on the pointy side of Neptune’s trident before being dragged under the sea. To get back to the surface, it’s either sink, swim, or seduce. And when wedding bells chime, the love god has to decide if he is truly brave enough to put his heart on the line.

Review: Cupid is kidnapped by Neptune after shooting him with an arrow. It was supposed to just be a joke, But, while Neptune has him, they have a brief fling. At least, that was the plan.  It was only after Cupid is released, that he begins to realize he has feelings for Neptune and stops the wedding.

Neptune was hot and sexy, while Cupid was naughty and cute. It was a good read. The use of mythology was creative and the characters were fleshed out nicely.

Kinda felt bad for Amphitrite, but…oh, well. 😉

Blurb: Luki Vasquez receives the news he’s still cancer free after five years, and he wants to celebrate with his whole family. He and his husband, Sonny James, take a road trip south, intending to gather at the home of his nephew Josh, Josh’s wife Ruthie, and Jade—a little girl who was still in the womb when she and her mother helped Luki beat lung cancer.

Halfway to their destination, Luki learns Josh and Ruthie have met a tragic death. The horrible news lays Luki low, but he pulls himself together in time to be the family’s rock and see to the dreaded business of tying up loose ends. The most important business is Jade, and when Luki and Sonny head home, they take Jade with them.

Luki and Sonny must combat self-doubt and fear and help each other learn to parent an unexpected child—and they must also nourish the love that has kept them whole for the past ten years. A relative’s spurious claim to Jade threatens the new family, and even if they prevail in court, they could lose their little girl unless they can rescue Jade from evil hands and true peril.

Paperback has the novella Yes! as a bonus extra.

Review: This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Luki and Sonny have had a rough couple of weeks while waiting to get the all clear from Luki’s doctor, but finally Luki is declared cancer free and they now want to celebrate with their family. But tragedy strikes and Luki becomes a rock for the family to lean on and to pick up the pieces of a little girls life. Sonny and Luki have to put their fears aside and become parents to the little girl who helped drag Luki back from the edge when he was at his lowest, but how do they fight against prejudice when unscrupulous relatives crawl out of the woodwork and seem to have a judge in their pocket?

Well, Lou Sylvre has done it again; yes she has brought tears to my eyes with another incredible story from Luki and Sonny that is laced with heartache and happiness. Luki and Sonny have to take up a mantle they never thought they would ever encounter: the mantle of parents. As Luki and Sonny celebrate Luki’s fifth year cancer free after weeks of worry Luki’s family is struck with another tragedy with the loss of his nephew and his wife, as they reel from the shock Luki has to hold his family together and Sonny voices his concerns.

Oh hell, yet again I am left feeling wrung out by the journey that a sublime author has taken me on, drawing me in with happy news and then slapping me in the face with angst and just as I was beginning to even out and began to think things were looking up I was then pummeled with a right hook followed swiftly with a roundhouse kick to the head. Goddamn this story was a roller-coaster of emotions that just wouldn’t let up; the trials that the Vasquez/James family have to go through would have had lesser men on their knees begging for respite.

We follow along as Luki, Sonny, Jackie, Brian & Kaholo struggle with their loss and pull together because of Jade. We see Luki and Sonny fight against an injustice caused by greedy relatives and we get to see Luki in action as a rescue is launched to retrieve Jade from dangerous hands. Sonny, surprisingly, has to be reassured as he doubts his own skills of raising a child, and Luki and Sonny draw closer together. But, it isn’t all tears and angst, there are some tender, sweet moments and there are some laugh out loud moments and then there are the quite sexy moments *sigh* Luki and Sonny are just beautiful together.

I recommend this to those who love incredibly strong men, who love angst, who adore fantastic characters, who love a brilliant story and an ending that has your lip quivering at the romance of it.

Blurb: Robbie and Ivan wrought havoc on their first chance at love. Can they mend their fences and find their passion the second time around?

Soulmarked as mates, Robbie and Ivan come from different worlds. Robbie’s the oldest son in a long line of outlaws who live squarely on the wrong side of the tracks, and Ivan’s family tree is packed with law enforcement. That didn’t stop them from falling in love, but when they risked tearing each other apart, they cared enough to let go and hope they’d find a better life.

Years later, the strength of their soulbond still burns bright when chance brings Robbie and Ivan together at the football game of the year. The passion they felt for one another is as powerful as ever, bringing them into explosive contact. They’re not the boys they used to be—Robbie’s turned his life around and raised his younger brothers to be good men, and Ivan’s learned to stand tall and mix justice with compassion. But though they want to hope they can be happy now, not everything has changed. Maybe not enough has changed.

Or has it, after all?

It’s up to Robbie and Ivan, now. Only they can make the choice that will change their lives forever.

Review: This is the first book in this series and so far, it is pretty good. It was a bit hard to get into though. However once it happened I couldn’t put it down. I know people have choices some make good ones and some make bad ones. In this story two men who are soul mates had a life till it was destroyed by the wrong choices. Now they have a second chance.

Robbie and Ivan pretty much went the wrong way with their love and it cost them quite a bit of time apart. They had made a promise at one time that when the ball field was built that they would go. However, it didn’t occur to them that they would still both keep that promise. Seeing each other again brought a large amount of pain back in their faces and a lot of passion. Robbie’s first idea was to run, however with the help of his younger brother he had a chance to change his mind.

The fire between them blows even hotter when they come together this second chance at love. There are still many things going through their minds but can they make the choice to choose the right path. Robbie came from a family that always went down the wrong path in life, as with Ivan he was from a family of law enforcements. He was a detective for the city. They had decided the first time to let each other go. But the pain always followed them no matter where they went. They always thought of each other when they woke up and when they went to bed.

Robbie has made some good choices by bringing his younger brothers up in a good way. He taught them about loyalty, fairness, and love. Now he needed to give himself some of the same advice he told his brothers. That things have changed and that they deserve to be happy.
I loved this story but it was missing something important but just not too sure, what it was. I was fascinated by the way Willa can tell a story, though. She has an amazing gift. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book to this series.

Saugatuck Summer

by

Amelia C. Gormely

One summer can change everything.

Hi, I’m Topher Carlisle: twenty-one, pretty, and fabulous. At least, that’s what I keep telling myself. But let’s get real. Walking the fake-it-til-you-make-it road to independence and self-respect isn’t easy. Especially since my mom’s a deadbeat alcoholic, and most of my family expects me to turn out just as worthless. Oh, and I’m close to losing my college swimming scholarship, so let’s add “dropout” to the list.

My BFF has invited me to stay at her beach house on the shore of Lake Michigan. That’ll give me one summer to make money and figure out what I want to do with my life. So of course I decide to have an affair with my BFF’s married, closeted dad. Because that always works out.

Now I’m homeless, friendless, jobless. Worthless. Just like my family expects, right? Except there’s this great guy, Jace, who sees it differently. He’s got it all together in ways I can only dream of—he’s hot, creative, insightful, understanding. He seems to think I don’t give myself enough credit. And if I don’t watch out, I may start to believe him.

Review: This was previously published by another company. It has been revised and reedited. This story is bizarre to say the least however, it is really good. I loved parts of it and not so much on others. It will tear your heart out knowing that someone is in so much pain from losing someone they love with all their heart.

Ben had loved Charlie with all of his heart. He gave up everything to be with the man he loved. However when Charlie was killed he slowly gave up not realizing that he did.

He acted like a class clown at work and made sure that he was busy all the time. Until one day, he realized that he had never let go that he had never grieved. Deciding to go somewhere that he and Charlie had spent time at he decided to let himself grieve. What he had not expected was to come across a black panther. Knowing you are not supposed to run, he runs for home. The panther gives chase.

Then when he is caught, it is by a man. Francois is the Black Panther but it is not till later when Ben realizes that. It is to teach him to love again, to show that he is ready to give it another try. When it is ready, he goes to a club and meets Dave. Dave has his own pain but not in the way one thinks, he just doesn’t think that this sexy man would want him. Ben however realizes that Dave is the one he wants.

This story is sad in certain parts but it shows one how to overcome all the pain. It has some pretty cool kink. Dave is a Dominate and Ben is a sub it just takes a bit of teaching and patience. I thought it was an amazing story, but just a bit strange. It was missing something to me. It shows the pain that death causes the ones that love them. It also shows the strength that it takes to grieve and find love again. I would recommend reading this story. It is tender, caring and will show you what love should be like.

Blurb: A Matter of Time Story

(Duncan Stiel from Acrobat by the same author)

Life has never been easy for Duncan Stiel. His childhood was the stuff of nightmares, and his day job as an undercover police officer forces him to hide his true self and occasionally lands him in the hospital. So when he finally meets the perfect man, it comes as no surprise that everything falls apart around him. What Duncan doesn’t expect is that the hardest hurdle to get over before he can make a life with Aaron Sutter is the one inside himself.

Everyone thinks Aaron has it all—looks, money, fame, and success beyond measure. Everyone, that is, except Aaron. At the end of the day, the cameras stop flashing, friends go back to their own lives, company business is handled, and Aaron is always alone. The moment he meets Duncan Stiel, Aaron knows he’ll do anything to hold onto the larger-than-life detective. But when he realizes money won’t buy him the ultimate happiness, Aaron needs to find the strength to give Duncan something much more important—his heart.

Review: Duncan Stiel has been a very prominent secondary character through two of the Matter of Time books and Acrobat, as Aaron was close to a main character as the couldn’t take no for an answer ex of Jory Keyes. I sink to my knees and thank whatever forces above convinced Calmes to write Duncan and Aaron’s story!

Duncan Stiel loves his job in law enforcement. The big, burly undercover cop is much better with his hands than with his gun, so his body carries far too many scars, prominent memories of his years on the job. He keeps his sexuality a secret, even knowing how well it turned out for fellow officer and friend, Sam Kage. He lost the one man he thought he could love because of it. So when Aaron Sutter lands in his lap, he thinks they might actually be able to make a go of it. After all, the billionaire, socialite playboy is snugged tightly away in his closet as well. But the threat of Aaron losing his position and power at his family company is hovering over them, and when a case and miscommunication drive a wedge between them, it would seem that their almost was not meant to be.

Aaron Sutter is at a loss, he has never wanted to keep someone so badly before, until he met Duncan. Their relationship has its ups and downs and definitely gets off to a rocky start. First, they are blazing hot, then Duncan disappears for a while on a case, and when he comes back, there is no contact. When he finds out why he sets out to prove to Duncan how much he truly wants the cranky cop in his life. And when the board backs him, to spite the fact that he is gay, his and Duncan’s relationship becomes front-page news overnight.

Duncan is working a high-profile undercover investigation, trying to nail a guy for murder, a guy that wants something from Duncan he has promised to only share with Aaron. So he and Aaron go under cover at a BDSM resort, but even all Aaron’s billions and bravado may not be enough to catch this bad guy. And when Duncan is hurt, Aaron’s judgement is clouded by fear, the fear of losing the man he loves, and he blows their cover. Locked inside a guard tower with no windows, a way to escape or contact with the outside world, both men finally say those three little words. But they make not make it out of this one alive, so the declaration may just be a moot point.

What happens when you unite two alpha males full of good looks, snarky personalities and the innate need to be in control? Aaron has never relied on anyone, HE takes care of people. But Duncan won’t be manhandled. That is the major struggle they have to overcome in their relationship. Both men will have to learn give and take, finding a balance they are both comfortable with in order to maintain the love they have for each other. I assure you that they have absolutely no problem what so ever in the bedroom, or on the floor, up against several doors, behind a curtain or the floor of the limo. They are white hot with their shared passion for each other, and when they each individually figure out just how much each is willing to give and take (pun intended!) they are poised to be a power couple.

Brilliant writing, of course, Calmes has found her niche’. There is some drama and mystery, suspense, intrigue and lots of guy on guy action, hell, even the angry sex is sexy! This is a must read series, but this book in and of itself, could be read alone. And the narration was phenomenal. Tristan James takes over for this ‘parting shot’ in the Matter of Time series, and he did not disappoint. I don’t think the dry, snarky and witty Aaron Sutter could have been spoken any better. As much as I love the narration of Paul Morey for the first books in this series, Tristan James brought something new and fresh to the table for these characters. Subtle nuances and inflections were evident and he didn’t skip not one moan or groan either.

Still the best M/M series out there to date, in my opinion!

LeeAnn’s Review: ♥♥♥ 3 Hearts

This story took you inside, literally of the porn world. Seriously Calvin somehow gets sucked, no pun intended, well maybe a little, into the porn world where all they do is have sex. Need your pool cleaned? Oops the pool boy won’t have change for when you go to pay him…oh let’s have sex…you know the bartering system. This is awesome for a while, as Calvin looks for Joey, his favourite porn star EVER. However, Calvin realizes that although it is fun to have sex with all these random people, they really have no point other than the sex. And that if anything is not done correctly “them”, the ones who watch, will not be happy!
This story brings, what I always thought about the porn industry, to life. There is a lot of humor, some angst, anger, sadness and want for revenge in this story. You get a little surprise in the book, which I refuse to reveal. You will need to read it to find out what it is. I believe it is worth your time. But don’t take my word for it. Go ahead, buy this, you know you want to. Who wouldn’t with promises of porn with hot sexy guys in it? In the pool, among other various places. So go ahead buy and enjoy your ride…again, pun intended? Maybe…maybe not.

Lisa’s Review: ♥♥♥2.5Hearts

Well I am not really sure what to say about this book. It is way out there in a way I never thought possible. Calvin really didn’t have a life it would seem. However, he has always loved this one character in a porn that he watches. What he had not expected was to get drawn into the porn. One minute he is at home watching it, the next he was having sex with everyone he came across. Sounds like a blast however he was wanting one guy and then he realized all he wanted to do was get back home.

Calvin even manages while doing this amazing porn thing to call his best friend Peachy for help. So he decides to throw in a little attitude and maybe they will kick him out of the movie so he could get home. He did want to take Joey with him but he didn’t think that was possible.

That is until he wakes up to find Joey in his apartment looking completely lost. He has never had anything other than sex, pizza, and beer. Never seen darkness and no women, he was really lost in this world. So Calvin and Peachy try their hardest to show Joey what life will be like here in reality.

It is a funny if not quirky book but it is missing something vital for me to really like it and get into it. I did laugh threw out most of the book, I mean when someone ask you constantly when can I have sex it gets to be a big laugh. I just need a bit more of a plot and story line to really get into it. I did get caught in the beginning but did have a bit of trouble staying with it. It just did not come off as something real to me.

Blurb: This story was written as a part of the M/M Romance Group’s ‘Love is Always Write’ event.

Dr. Jordan Mackenzie has been alone, focused on his career and raising his son, for many years. He’s fine with that until one prickly young man’s intriguing quirks trigger a sudden need to take care of someone in an entirely different manner.

Calvin Sherbrook has issues. He knows it, and he can live with it. He’s just decided it’s better for everyone involved if he keeps to himself. And he might have succeeded too, if it wasn’t for one particularly hot veterinarian, a crazy old lady and her meddling dog.

Review: Jordan Mackenzie is an openly gay single father with a thriving Veterinarian practice. He hasn’t really given much thought to dating, perfectly happy with his life as is. That is until Winston, the bulldog, decides to play matchmaker.

Mack definitely looks twice when Calvin Sherbrook walks into his office, but the big man is a loner with an attitude, so Mack avoids the attraction. But Winston won’t have it. The adorable bulldog seems hell-bent on making sure that Mack and Cal end up together.

This story was a little bit all over the place, but the premise was so unique that it kept me intrigued. Mack is obviously a Dom and though Cal is initially portrayed as the bigger, dominating personality type, he turns out to be the submissive personality after all. It’s when they each let down their guard and truly open up to the other that they are the sexiest. But ultimately, Mack’s son’s best friend and the gay match making gay bulldog stole the show! No, I’m not trying to confuse you, grab a copy and see what I’m talking about. It’s free!

A little more cohesion to the overall story and just a skoch more development to Mack and Cal’s back-story would have given this one higher marks. But overall, it’s just a fast fun read that I think you’ll enjoy.

Blurb: Ollie was finishing the last of his juice box when he noticed Christopher watching him. “Do you want one? I have another box.”

“You do know that’s not real fruit juice, right? It even states so on the box.” Christopher scrunched up his nose in distaste.

“This is a really yummy fruit flavored beverage, do you want one or not?” Ollie offered again.

“Yes, but do you have an actual cup I can drink it out of?”

When Ollie had asked Christopher out for coffee, he had no expectations of gaining a boyfriend right before Christmas. Ollie had no interest in committing to a relationship, but he had no way of predicting the impact that one prickly man could have on his life.

Christopher had a solid three-month expiration date on all of his previous boyfriends. Could Ollie be the exception?

Review: I really enjoyed this book.

Ollie is a very carefree, fun-loving guy, on the outside but he has been hurt in the past and doesn’t want to be hurt again. He has many friends but has never been in love with any of his previous boyfriends, nor has he introduced any to his close circle of friends.

Christopher has also been hurt in the past and has a bad reputation as a mean and unfeeling man. When these two meet and become close however, they feel a change in their attitudes towards a committed relationship. Soon, however, just when they start to feel the other could be the one, life interferes and things are said that nearly tear them apart.

I highly recommend this book. So do yourself a favor and get this…I wasn’t sure what this would be about but I am so glad I read this. I believe this is the second book but I am not sure what the name of or when the third comes or came out. A perfect read alone book though. Stands very well on its own.

Blurb: Army Ranger Slater Cassidy has a very special – very sexy – target in his sights. Meeting gorgeous, smart, uber-snarky Casper Kennedy was the highlight of Slater’s last trip home to New York. The soldier in him carefully plans his conquest. Unfortunately, Casper’s wearing some seriously strong armor and Slater’s charm offensives bounce right off. Casper’s refusal to fall for him is puzzling – not to mention incredibly annoying. When Slater gets leave again after gruelling back-to-back tours in Afghanistan, all he wants is another shot at wooing Casper. He jumps right into the battle for the other man’s heart, but Casper does not intend to entertain the troops. A heartbreaking revelation changes the rules of romantic warfare, and Slater suddenly realizes he doesn’t just want Casper. He wants to capture his heart, too.

Casper Kennedy is fighting a losing battle. A certain outrageously demonstrative Army Ranger has been a thorn in his side since his last trip home – and the main character in his steamiest dreams. Now he’s back. He launches an all-out sensual assault and no matter how hard Casper pushes Slater away, the man somehow manages to inch closer. So close, in fact, that Casper’s once-impenetrable defenses are in danger of collapsing. Should he throw up the white flag and take a chance at love? Or start firing back and keep his heart protected? When the handsome Ranger shows his true colors, Casper just might have to surrender the fight.

Review: Slater Cassidy is just a few days away from his long-awaited leave. On his last leave home, he met an acquaintance of his brother and was immediately taken with the man. Since then he has let loose an all out assault consisting of emails, instant messaging and singing telegrams among other things, in an attempt to gain Casper’s affections. But Casper has a strict no military men rule, so he refuses to succumb to the mutual attraction he feels for the army Ranger.

Slater pursues Casper maddeningly. The man will not take no for an answer. As strong as he comes on though, Casper pushes away. When Slater accidentally walks in on a business meeting and the client wants Slater to be the face of their new campaign, Casper ends up forced into a business relationship with the insufferable, sexy man. Eventually, Slater’s diligence pays off and Casper goes out with him. Persistence pays off and it seems that these two just might get their happy ever after, after all.

Life has a way of throwing you curve balls though, and when Slater is injured when he returns to Afghanistan, Casper fears that the past may be repeating itself.

This was just a fast, fun read with a slight dose of angst and a lot of love and some steam. You learn more about Casper’s past and why he is so adamant in his refusals of Slater’s affection. The courting was a hoot as well! I just loved turning each page in anticipation of what Slater would pull off next in his attempts to woo Casper. And then when things came to a head and the Casper became the strength for Slater, it was so endearing and loving, I shed a tear… or two.

Gasq-Dion is one of those buy now, ask questions later authors for me. If her name is on a book, it’s pretty much a given that it’s going to be fantastic. She has a way of making snarky, sexy. And writing bad boys that make your heart skip a beat, and then make you frown because they are all definitively gay. Well written, perfectly descriptive, a bit of drama and a whole lot of laugh aloud fun!
Lord, I hope the next book in this series is Slater’s out spoken best friend Ramos and the jackass Tiernan. It would be such good fun to watch Ramos whip his ass into shape. And then f**k him senseless!!

Blurb: Detective Josh Potter walks right into a trap of vicious, feral vampires. He never thought he would be rescued by a starved and weak omega werewolf, a man kept hidden away and used for pleasure and blood.

All he wants is to protect the gorgeous man, but Josh can’t find out where he came from. It doesn’t help that the omega is calling Josh “master.”

Cecil can only recall a life of servitude. He doesn’t know what freedom means because all he wants is to be with Josh. His yearning for Josh was so strong that he betrayed his former masters to save him, and Cecil wants the handsome human take him for a mate and claims him in every way possible. Cecil’s challenge, however, is to get his new master to accept that Cecil knows he’s in love, and that he isn’t allowing his years of servitude to cloud his judgment.

Review: This is book eleven in this series and they really need to be read in order. It keeps you from getting confused but also gives you an insight in to their world. I have always loved Marcy’s imagination. She gives you characters that you will fall in love with and a world you can lose yourself into. I love the fact that in these books the omega’s can get pregnant. Now that is a funny thing, a man getting pregnant.

Josh is a not only a detective but a human to boot. He is helping a rookie who is supposed to be checking out a vampire house that was supposedly cleaned out. What he had found were five rogue vampires and a very weak werewolf slave. He was also pregnant.

Cecil had always lived his life in servitude, more than likely born into it. He knows right when they met that Josh was his mate, but having never been anything more than a slave he did not know exactly what to do. Cecil does know that he wants him more than anything. He wants him to make him his mate. However, Josh did not know that many ways of the werewolves.

They had a hard start but things get to heating up every time they are in the room together. Like many relationships, there are some communication difficulties but once Josh realizes that when Cecil calls him master it means something totally different to Cecil. Josh had sold five years of his life to the vampires to pay for his college courses. He did not want to remember those times, but to help his mate heal he will do everything in his life to protect him and love him.

I love this series. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. It is an amazing book and I can guarantee that you will love it. If you love the paranormal world, werewolves, vampires, hot men, tender love, danger and excitement you will love this story.

Blurb: Diego Villanueva is a college student, tattoo artist, judoka and younger brother of a vice cop. Ideally, life should be interesting for him, but lately his job had been that of shuttle driver for members of his extended family visiting Portland, Oregon. All that unexpectedly changes, however, when Diego meets an alluring Asian man who happens to be on the run for his life.

Bohai Bradley Tran, illegally imported to America as a youth and placed into service by a ring of flesh-traders after his mother conveniently vanished, finally aged enough to fight his way out of the system. Since then, Bo’s been living the only way he knows how—using his body as a commodity. He’s also evading a murderer targeting rent boys, a man who once tasted Bo’s blood and wants more.

Now, three lives converge, an assembly born of violence and hate. One wants to destroy, one wants to heal, and one wants to live. The balance of power is poised on a knife’s edge—the very knife clutched in the hands of a ruthless serial killer.

NOTE: This book is part of the Brand Me series.

Review: This is part of the Brand me series, but it stands alone just fine. I will say that after I am done here, I will be going to look up the series. This is also the first book I have read by Michelle Robbins and I’ll be also stalking—oops—I meant following her!

Bo is a rent boy who narrowly escapes an abusive John. He is back where he calls home in the train station cleaning up when Diego walks in. Bo doesn’t know how lucky he is, not only has he escaped rape though he took a good beating it could have been worse. Some of his friends haven’t been so lucky and his job is even more dangerous with a sick serial killer on the loose.

Diego is the brother of an undercover cop and seeing the thin, dirty and beat up boy in the bathroom tugs at more than his heartstrings. When they first met he just wanted to take the boy off the street, clean him up get him medical attention and feed him. Little did he know just how much this meeting would change his life.

I loved this story. The title alluded to so much and it delivered. They were marked in many ways. I’ll let you read to see just how many. There is lots of action, suspense and drama along with some hot sex scenes and some sweet and sappy stuff too. (You have to see what’s NOT in the bathroom drawer if you’re a die-hard romance lover.)

I highly recommend this, if you like hot cops, sexy rent boys, broken men, action, drama suspense, tattoos, hot mansex and a touch of sappy sweet romance with a very good ending! What ya waiting for?

Blurb: Conrad Steele works for the human resistance. He’s never liked werewolves after his brother was murdered. He hacked into the wolf king’s agenda and found out when he would be alone, and when the humans could take him. Conrad never expected the cocky man to be so damned handsome, or for his presence to send Conrad into a tailspin of lust and want that would make him demand to be taken. Ludwig Van Amadus is only too happy to comply.

Van never expected to meet his mate in a place like this, not to mention the fact that the man is human and walks with a limp, but he only wants the chance to touch and taste him. What his little mate doesn’t know is that the sex renewed his strength, allowing him to break his chains. When Conrad returns for him, Van uses the opportunity to escape and take his mate with him, whether Conrad wants it or not.

Review: This is book two in this series and they need to be read in order. It helps you get to know about their worlds and an insight into who everyone is. Marcy always gives you characters that you will fall in love with. I loved this book. This is an amazing series. Conrad worked for the human resistance ever since his brother had been killed by a werewolf and his leg was damaged. He walked with a limp and was in a lot of pain. He was the tech who kept hacking into the wolves computer systems and left a symbol of a fox.

Van was the King of Serenity Sea. They were called Kings because the humans didn’t respect Alphas. The human resistance thought that all werewolves were evil. He had been captured after Conrad broke into his computer system and learned of his movements. It had been fairly easy to catch him off guard and give him a sedative. Conrad had gone down to the cells to get information, but what he found was a cocky wolf whose mind seemed to be on sex. He was telling Conrad that they were mates.

When he had found out that they were going to hurt Van, Conrad had planned to save his mate. However, it was his mate who saved him. He abducted him and ran with him. He just needed to keep his mate safe. They were slowly falling in love and the trust was gaining in strength…

I loved this series and cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in this series. It is amazing. I love the way it is told with just the right amount of seriousness and humor. It will give you everything you want in this story. I love the tenderness that Van shows Conrad even after Conrad is the reason he was kidnapped in the first place. You will love this story just like I do.

Blurb: Devon Wilcox, the privileged fifth son of a viscount, has everything a man could want … except being gay in a time when such deviant behavior could land him in prison. He tries to console himself with the denizens of society’s underbelly, but frequently ends up the victim of those who’d rather take advantage of his desperation. Fortunately, his best friend and secret object of infatuation, Sir Wallace Church, comes to his rescue. Wallace tempts him with the promise of high-class entertainment at a mysterious boy brothel called “The Garden.” Situated in the heart of mid-Victorian London, The Garden offers an array of choice morsels, beautiful young men named after flowers. There, Wilcox finds not only the perfect bed partner for the evening, but the chance to gain his most ardent heart’s desire.

Review: Devon Wilcox is in love with his best friend, Wallace Church, and has been for close to fourteen years, since their first day of college. It’s a secret he holds dear. Both men carry a persuasion for the same-sex that only they and their random lovers are privy to. Wilcox doesn’t mind sharing stories of his conquests and the sometimes harrowing situations it leaves him in with Church, but he has never told him how he feels about him, until now.

Church learns of a club that caters to his and Wilcox’s particular fancy and makes them an appointment. The Garden offers a wide variety of young men to suit any man’s fancy, and the owner awards Church and Wilcox with two of his most beautiful, delicate flowers for the evening. Wilcox is uncertain about almost every aspect of the evening’s events along the way, but each time he’s convinced. The one thing he is absolutely certain of is his feelings for Church and the obvious reciprocation when they finally share their first kiss.

What begins as a safe rendezvous with a couple of chance strangers, transforms into Wilcox deepest fantasy coming to life. I adore historical romance. The time period, the phrasing of words and sentences, the clothes and the scenery. And this short story did not disappoint or deviate from any of the aforementioned attributes. Wilcox and Church are very much the proper gentlemen, aside from being in love with each other and both being men in a time when it could get you killed. The foursome aspect was quite a surprise, but there is so much passion and tenderness weaving its way around the bedroom that I was completely mesmerized by the scene.

I know I usually say short, sexy and steamy… my three favorite colors. Well, this was short, passionate and heart warming… and these three are a close second! Just a fast, fun read that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I loved it!

Review: Adam enjoys men more than he enjoys women, although he has dated women more than he has dated men. But, due to his job, he is afraid to go after what really does it for him. His “friends with benefits” Janine is his go to when he needs relief, as he is hers. One night Janine decides to add her friend Paul into the mix. She knows how Adam feels and wants to help both men. Maybe they were “the one” for each other. She was willing to orchestrate to see what might happen.

Let’s just say it was an amazing success. However, Adam was still unsure how his partners in the firm he worked for would react to him being in a relationship with a man.

This was a short story, but I enjoyed it very much. The relationship between Paul and Adam turns out to be…oops…can’t tell you what happens exactly or what would be the point of you reading it? So go ahead, buy the book. You won’t be disappointed. Not a lot of sex in here, but what is VERY nice for sure.

Review: Vince is a trainer and barn manager at his father’s retraining and rehabilitating stable. He feels like he has it all a dream job, a great family and a nice girlfriend. But why does he feel so empty. Dustin is desperate for work and keeps begging Mark but keeps being turned away. He has always wanted to work with horses, but his parents never even let him do the pony rides in fairs. He has been living in the woods and logs to belong somewhere.

This was a very interesting story at first and kept me engaged until the end. However, it left me disappointed and with so many unanswered questions. It felt like a set up for a series but nothing was mentioned about more to come or a possible series. The writing is very emotional, the story full of emotion, not only Vince and Dustin but also Jane. I loved the hints of Vince needing more and wanting to fulfil his mother’s wishes, but would have liked to seen these happen. There are no sex scenes or not a lot of foul language so this is a nice clean story.

If you like horses, men finding themselves, emotional stories and no sex, you should like this one!
