Review: To repeat from my review of book 2: I’ve binged read this series and it was totally awesome, so excuse me while I blurt out my adoration! This series really and truly needs to be read in order, so quick, go back to Beyond the Edge before picking up this one.

Book 1: Beyond the Edge was reviewed on MM Good Book Reviews when it was first released back in 2012 and although I rate the book higher than the other reviewer, as a quick side note I’m just going to say that you’ll get more satisfaction out of it going in with the knowledge that this is hot BDSM and it is not a ménage romance.

However, in a sort of evolution as we see the characters develop along the three books, there’s a bit of romance in book 2 and now that we are up to book 3 it is almost primarily a romance between three men: James, Tate and Sebastian. In fact, there is not nearly as much BDSM in this third book as there were in the previous. Though if you’re me this doesn’t matter so much as the actual storyline since the BDSM has always been an intrinsic part of the story line it goes back to the development of the actual story and characters.

Also, what BDSM there is in this book it is there for a reason it hasn’t just been thrown in and the author has hoped for the best. In short, it makes total sense in my mind how Elizabeth Lister structured this and makes the characters more relatable because they feel more real and more “human”. Ok, enough with my philosophical talk.

Clearly it is no secret that this series has blown me away. I have enjoyed it more than I honestly thought that I would. We meet up with James, Sebastian and Tate five years into their ménage relationship and they just feel right together as they had previously.

All three men are wonderful and the various minor characters (some of which pop up in all the books) are just as wonderful. I especially like James: he may be a big, strong, Dom, but he is also somewhat of a gentle giant with a massive heart. I also love Tate and Sebastian in their own right. Tate is a cross between a mother hen and trying to be Superman, while Sebastian is just so adorable I want to hug him and squeeze the stuffing out of him.

The minor characters take more of a role in A Numinous Light. They are the primary source of drama, although James does his own fair share, too. Again, this is something that enriches this series and made things feel more real.

We also deal with more emotion and real life situations in this book, which adds to the realism where it is clear that we are just having a peek into the lives of three ordinary, yet extraordinary, men who love each other and have developed a strong bond.

This was an excellent ending to an excellent series. Enjoy the kink and enjoy the romance and enjoy three guys just living their lives. 

Review: Ummm… to find the words. First off, despite my liking fantasy and science fiction this one was, for lack of a better word: a mindfuck. As you will find out, not a huge fan of this. It’s all very fairy tale-esque and Grimm in terms of characters and setting – something that I usually enjoy reading. Honestly, this concept hooked me in the first third of this book.

Jamie ‘Redhood’ works for Granny’s in Grimmtown – see what I meant just now? He tinkers with some recipes (makes him seem like a rather sketchy sort of bloke) and that lands him in trouble. This is where the mind-fuck comes into play. Who is holding him? What do “they” really want?

It’s a bit Matrix (which I can’t stand) crossed with Tron (which I like) crossed with a Mexican drug cartel. I will admit, the story is well written and moves along well, one reason why I probably read the whole thing. It was the whole “are we in the Matrix? Are we the Matrix?” feel to it that I did not like. If that’s your thing normally, then I’m sure you will enjoy it.

Although one thing this does have that the Matrix does not is the smoking hot sex scenes.

T.M. Smith - The Opposites Opposites

Opposites

(Opposites 01)
by

T.M. Smith

In the year 2081 our planet survived global warming of an apocalyptic scale. When the dust settled and the water receded Dr. Anthony Smith, one of only a few hundred survivors of GWI, started society anew. Having come to the conclusion that injudicious breeding played a huge role in the destruction of Earth as we knew it in the twenty first century, he worked closely with other survivors to isolate the Dionysus gene. This gene has the ability to manipulate human DNA to ensure that all male children be born gay, and all female children be born lesbians. A new society is born.

In the year 2300 Dr. Smith’s descendants are ushering in the twenty fourth century having maintained control of the government that still rules society. Twins Aiya and Aiyan are preparing to meet their matches and take control of House Gaeland, the current ruling House. But not everything is as it seems.

Love is Love.. it knows no gender and doesn’t conform to restrictions and boundaries. Aiyan has found his soul mate in Kaden, the prince of House Devi that he is matched with and eventually marries. But when the person Aiya falls in love with tests the boundaries put in place after GWI, all hell breaks loose. And in the midst of one secret unraveling, another will emerge. There is a growing anomaly that threatens to destroy over two hundred years of progression. This anomaly is known as Opposites.

Want to know what was going on when those birds fled?
Travelling hundreds of miles, battling the rebels and then travelling back to House Gaeland will take it out of you. But when Tanis wants something, he takes it. Raven is about to be bent over a tree!

Appearances

(Opposites 02

Appearances can be deceiving.

Raven and Tanis are trying very hard to merge their vastly different lifestyles, but Tanis issues with his own past could prove to be more than their fragile relationship can handle. Is their love for each other strong enough to weather the oncoming storm?

Aiya and Sawyer have fought hard to be together in a world where Opposite relationships are generally forbidden. Yet, they are still forced to keep their relationship a secret while they are outside the walls of House Gaeland.

Everyone assumes that the only threat lies outside their walls, the group of rebels led by Cillian. But something is happening within House Gaeland, something that hasn’t happened since GWI. And with all the attention focused on that, their guard is down. An evil that was under their nose all along strikes, and someone will make the ultimate sacrifice to save another.

.
T.M. Smith - The Cellar 300x450

The Cellar

(Opposites 02.5)

It’s time to learn the truth about what happened that day in The Cellar.

Taryn and Thanos are the formidable Ambassadors of House Orion. Taryn was born into power, bred from birth to lead the people of Greece along with his sister Theresa, Thanos was never a part of his mother’s plan. The son of a fisherman was not a suitable match for the son of Greece as far as their mother was concerned, but Taryn always takes what he wants.

The Cellar is the story of how these two men met and fell in love, and what lengths Taryn went to, to ensure he kept his man. This novella also contains a more detailed accounting of what happened the night Raven and Tanis went for a walk on the beach, and the adult version of Mistletoe and Mayhem that was initially released as a free short through Goodreads.

Blurb: John Carey is just out of rehab and dying inside when he gets word that Tory, the guy who loved him and broke him, has removed himself from the world in the most bitter way possible—and left John to clean up his mess.

Forced back to his hometown in Florida, John’s craving a hit with every memory when he meets Tory’s neighbor. Spacey and judgmental, Galen Henderson has been rotting in his crappy apartment since a motorcycle accident robbed him of his mobility, his looks, and his boyfriend all in one mistake. Galen’s been hiding at the bottom of an oxy bottle, but when John shows up, he feels obligated to help wade through the wreckage of Tory’s life.

The last thing John needs is another relationship with an addict, and the last thing Galen wants is a conscience. Both of them are shocked when they find that their battered souls can learn from and heal one another. It doesn’t hurt that they’re both getting a crash course on how growing up and getting past your worst mistakes sure beats the alternative—and that true love is something to fight to keep if your lover is fighting to love you back.

Review: John Carey came dangerously close to losing both his best friend and his business, snorting it up his nose. Instead, Dex stood by his side, only took a small percentage of Johnnies and shipped John off to rehab. Just when John thinks he has a handle on his addiction, he learns that the man who tore him apart, broke him down and made him the unfeeling bastard he is today is dead. And just like when he was alive, Tory has dropped his baggage at John’s feet.

Galen Henderson was a successful lawyer who had a home, a partner and a job he loved. One mistake left him unemployed, single and forever scarred. His lover of over four years came to visit him in the hospital after the wreck just long enough to tell him he had moved him out of their home and into a shitty apartment, oh, and dumped him before Galen could even get his feet under him again.

Misery loves company so of course Galen became friends with his new neighbor Tory, who was even more messed up than Galen was. When Tory’s old boyfriend John shows up after Tory’s death, Galen is determined to hate the big time porn star that dropped Tory on his ass to go off and make a name for himself. Galen wasn’t prepared for the truth, and he definitely wasn’t prepared to fall in love with John.

The two bond over their addictions, the pain of losing Tory and a mutual attraction that leaves them both sweaty and breathless. And while you would think an addict that is fresh out of recovery would fall right into one of Galen’s pill bottles, John will surprise you. He readily admits the nagging pull he feels to that bottle, that little voice inside his head that is screaming for a fix.

But he doesn’t succumb to it, for reasons beyond John’s comprehension at the start, he feels this need to try to help Galen. As well, Galen is drawn to John’s pain and inserts himself into the red heads life, helping him clean up the mess Tory has left of it.

They try very hard not to love each other, and oddly it is the shared grief over Tory, the disgusting and painful time they spend cleaning out Tory’s apartment, watching the goodbye video he left for John, that sends them over the edge. And once they admit their feelings the hard part begins.

It’s hard to put into words how much I loved this story. It is a cesspool of dark, dank, emotional turmoil that only Amy Lane could write and make you fall in love with these characters that are so broken by their own hand, even root for them to just shut up and love each other.

While the previous books in this series have always had the secondary character of the porn world, the life the guys lead on and off camera, this story replaced that aspect with the seedy world of addiction. And let me assure you that Lane hit that nail on the head. There is a part in the story when Galen winds up in the hospital and he is being treated poorly simply because of his addiction.

This really hit home for me, my sister is a recovering addict who was recently is a bad car wreck and received piss poor care in the ER simply because she was honest with the staff and told them she was recovering. That one five-minute rant from John when he went off on that nurse gave this story an edge of reality that made my skin crawl. Perfection Amy, just perfection!

Now when I first queued up this audio on my I-pod, I was disappointed that Sean Crisden wasn’t continuing his role as narrator, he has been replaced by Gomez Pugh. I didn’t want to like him. Over three books I’d gotten used to Crisden’s tones and inflections for these characters. Well, Pugh quickly wormed his way in there and took control of the story with his cocky, self-assured but slightly broken tones for John. Or his completely country bumpkin portrayal of Galen that had me laughing out loud.

John and Galen are probably the most volatile lovers in the series to date and Pugh truly conveyed those emotions, right down to every little moan, groan and scream. There is a scene where John is making a video for Galen while he is in rehab… God almighty Dayum, that was hot! The perfect merging of Lane’s writing and Pugh’s vocal chops really brought this story to life for me.

I could write a book on how much I loved this book. Well written and narrated, in-depth, dark, emotional, passionate, sometimes quirky and funny. Just go buy a copy so I can stop rambling, kay.

Review: Each book in the Fire Dragon’s collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved. This is the second book written by Kelex that I have read and I have got to tell you that it was just as fascinating as the first one. The world she has written about fascinated me and had me wishing to be there also.

These dragons went through so much to get where they are now. Now I must admit that I was not happy about the ending. Most people think that if they leave a cliff hanger than the person reading will want the next book, and that doesn’t normally work for me. I would just throw the book to the side and find one that works for me. That is not the case with this one.

Phrenzy not only failed to keep his Drakon’s mate safe, but after Rhaege lost his second reincarnated mate, Phrenzy’s mate also dies. He has watched Rhaege loose over seven mates by the present time, and his mate had not been reincarnated in over seven hundred years. He fears that his failure has made fate not give him his back. That is until his picture in midshift shows up in the paper. The little photographer just happens to be his. Phrenzy is a very big dragon with an attitude. He comes off a bit cross and always pissed off.

Diego has always dreamed of dragons since he was a child. He wanted to know if what he sees is true. So when an ice wall is found after a fire, he heads to see what it is. He made it just in time to see the men shift into dragons and managed to get it on film. Too bad his conscience bugs him about handing it over. He knows that if he goes back to tell the public that it was all fake he would more than likely lose his job. However when he finds out that the dragon he caught on tape was his mate, he knew what he had to do.

These are amazing stories but there is a bit of darkness that comes off with them. It doesn’t take away from the story but it is still there.

I can’t wait to read the next story. I can tell that from now on every book Kelex writes, I will more than likely be grabbing them up.

Blurb: Asher Eisenberg is a brilliant actor, destined for fame and fortune. But a traumatic incident in his past has caused him to reject his Jewish heritage and hide from everyone behind walls of arrogance and selfishness, and he blurs his loneliness with a lot of sex and alcohol. When he meets Peniamina Faamausili, however, he strangely can’t stop thinking about the young man.

Peni is struggling with his sexuality, the Mormonism he was raised in, and the Samoan heritage that calls to him. He longs to receive the pe’a—the traditional Samoan tattoos– and learn more of his people’s ways. He has no interest in a man like Asher, who appears to use men and put them aside and whose drinking can’t help but remind him of the drunk driver who killed his father. But he can’t deny his attraction to Asher and finally agrees to a date if Asher can go thirty days without a drink.

Review: As the seasons change bringing about changes in the lives of each of the Fabulous Four. Asher is feeling a bit left out or perhaps jealous though he is never excluded in the group. Asher questions his feelings since he has never wanted a relationship. He knows he could have had one at any time he wanted it and he knew Sloan had been in love with him at one time as well, yet now

Sloan has Max. After nearly losing a role he really wanted he finds out how work acquaintances feel about him. The he meets Sloan and Wyatt’s beautiful friend Peni and once again is put in his place. On a thirty-day challenge not to drink, to take Peni to dinner, he finds out one more thing about his life (well, perhaps two, if you count his growing feelings for Peni.)

Peni has recently come out. He is very naïve and learned his sexuality in a harsh way. He doesn’t see what Sloan has ever seen in the full-of-himself Asher other than his looks. Peni falls in easily with the friends, but he longs to have what Sloan and Max and Scott and Cedar have.

Peni longs for THE ONE and a real relationship, but struggles with how it will fit in with his strictly Mormon and Samoan family.

Oh man! This is one heartfelt story of growth, change, acceptance, and love! I was so happy to see the other characters in this story as well, especially Sloan and Wyatt though their parts are rather minor they add just the right touch to the story.

I was really glad to see Asher’s story and it was very different from I had expected. I also loved getting a look at Peni and a bit of Samoan history as well. I will admit the story is a little predictable as far as romance is concerned but done so well…who cares…and I am glad it was!

The story is so well-written and I loved how B.G makes a power punch by repeating one or two words. First, in the context, than in italics as a though the in an exclamation. I could really feel these characters, thoughts, see their actions. Most of the sex is off the page which works very well for this story.

I love the covers for these books!

If you are looking for a feel-good story, one without a lot of heavy angst, a strong cast of characters, a fast-paced story line that reels you in and won’t let you go until the end with very little actual on-page sex…this is for you!

Before he knows what’s happening, his designer duds have been switched for tie-dye shirts in therapy team colors, and he is surrounded by an assortment of misfits: a timid nerd, a mute girl, a hyperactive kid… and captivating loner Cai Fields, who is admittedly pretty hot, but seems to hate the world in general and Lysander in particular.

Review: I have such a love/hate relationship with this book. There were parts that touched me deeply and others that seemed either cheesy or they downright pissed me off. And while I understand that the characters were teenagers (with the exception of the parents of course), their behaviour seemed too immature at times.

I’m having such a hard time pin-pointing exactly what I didn’t like, because overall this book was pretty good. But as much as I want to, I can’t give it 4 stars. I think the setting in which most of the story took place was what didn’t work for me. I simply don’t get the point of that “clinic” (Oak Hill Manor) or whatever it was. If it’s for troubled teens that abuse drugs and have way too much sex as a cry for attention, then you can’t go and mix them with other teenagers who were sexually abused as children and are now having difficulties integrating in the society.

And how about teenagers who suffer from the loss of a loved one, the one person who meant the most to them? What do they have in common with the rest of the teenagers at Oak Hill Manor? They were all simply too different from one another and didn’t have many things in common. So for them to be attending the same therapy sessions didn’t make much sense to me.

The writing was good, the grammar was stellar (and if it wasn’t, I was too focused on the story to notice any errors) and I definitely got the impression that a teenager was narrating the story. I do wish we would’ve gotten to know more about Cai ( including but not only, what determined him to pierce his dick and other body parts multiple times) and I wish there was an epilogue 10 years into the future, because I would’ve liked to see them as adults.

Casey might wish things were different, but he wouldn’t trade Nate, his big heart, or his skills between the sheets for a wedding worthy of a Rockefeller.

After losing a strip poker bet, Casey’s promised forfeit is spending a full day at a softball tournament. He’s sure there’s more going on than a simple sports wager and wonders what Nate’s up to, but he’s curious enough to jump in and commit. And so, finally, is Nate, who’s planning a surprise involving an engagement ring and a proposal from the pitcher’s mound.

But things don’t go quite according to scheme for the odd couple when Nate takes his lover out to the ball game. And who knows what might happen when Casey’s called up to bat?

Review: I went in with little to no expectations as I have never read a book by Willa Okati. What transpired was a story I wished was longer because not only were the MC’s well-rounded and interesting, most of the secondary character were also.

Casey is a wedding planner who dislikes baseball and softball because of the poem Mighty Casey at bat. He is in love with Nate, who absolutely loves sports. And Nate with 7 older sisters has a strong dislike of all things wedding related. Losing a bet on strip poker, Casey has to Spend all day at a softball tournament that Nate organized and is playing in.

Casey honors his commitment and attend, with the suspicion that there is more going on than just a softball tournament. He is given a box of Poppernutter, a cracker jack like snack, to hold onto, with the proviso that if he enjoys himself at the tournament he has to open the box and eat it.

Nate is giving hints that he is maybe losing his dislike of wedding enough to marry Casey.

Some of the secondary characters who make this book even more memorable and fun are Mimi, a petite, personality packed, softball dynamo with a wicked sense of humor, Kenneth, gay and geeky in a cute way, and Roger, a former semi-pro player who is attracted to Kenneth, who is also the captain of the opposing team in the championship game. When Kenneth is injured in the championship game of the tournament.

The Proposal and the Wedding scenes on the pitcher’s mound are not to be missed. The hardest part was the belief that anyone could have as much sex as Casey and Nate did that day and still have the energy to play in a tournament.

Blurb: Gerald Smithson, master leathersmith, has ample reason to distrust mages. He doesn’t take their commissions and steers clear of them wherever possible. When Lord Leo Harris tries to hire him, Gerald sends the mage packing. Unfortunately, the simple act of Leo entering his shop brings Gerald to the attention of a Dark mage who kidnaps him as a chance to get to Leo.

Now Leo must not only rescue Gerald, but find a way to win his heart. It will be an unusual courtship, to say the least.

Review: This was a cute and interesting little short. It takes place in Regency England I believe, but it’s an alternative world. The Ancient Greeks long ago approved same-sex marriage and mages are commonplace.

Gerald is a local leathersmith reputed to be the best in London, exactly what Leo is looking for. But due to past experiences with mages Gerald refuses to do any work for them so he sends Leo on his way. Not that Leo lets that deter him, or the fact that Gerald gets kidnapped.

Not a lot of information is given on the characters, so their history is a little incomplete and questions are left unanswered. But it was definitely enough to pique my interest for more.

As soon as he gets to Caer Tarw, the stage is set: mating season is close by, and the purpose they were all invited for was to help the Minotaurs find their mates. Hayden is among the lucky ones, finding Minotaurs Brian Connelly and Ronan Breckenridge, who are lovers, and are Hayden’s mates.

Review: Each book in the Caer Tarw collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

This story was unique in the fact that the characters are Minotaurs and a little rabbit. And let’s not forget that when Minotaurs mate they get their mates pregnant and not with just one baby either.
Hayden is a little rabbit shifter who is quite bored with life. So when he gets a letter from the council giving him a three-week vacation in Ireland he was stoked.

Rabbits are a little different from most shifters. They are given more than one mate because they are always horny. They have a very high sex drive. This is a good thing because his two mates are Minotaurs. Two very big Minotaurs.

Brian and Ronan have done the unusual. They have taken each other for mates. They knew that they needed a third because let’s face it they are both very dominate. So when they saw Hayden they knew that this man was theirs, or that they hope he was. Now Hayden knew right when he saw them that they were definite mates. The sex is hot between them but let’s face it men don’t always use their brains. They forgot to tell their little mate that he can get pregnant. Talk about a blast.

When these three meet and get together it was kind of anti-climactic. I expected some type of fight but nope Hayden was all for it. The story does move a little too fast for me but it didn’t take away from the story itself. It gives you three gorgeous men, hot sex, excitement but it needed a bit of danger and suspense added to it.

This story however was just cute and sweet. I did love the fact that when Brian and Ronan think they have screwed up they ended up fighting among themselves. That shows their love for their little mate.

Review: This is the fourth book in this series and I have got to tell you that Brandt and Donnelly are still so damn hot together.

In this story you will also meet several young men who are learning about themselves also. Xavier always manages to give one hell of a great read. The characters are so full of depth, feeling and just down right sexy. I know that I will have a great book in my hands when I am reading one of Xavier’s stories.

Brandt and Donnelly are still working on their wedding plans, but have decided to take a little vacation. It also is to see if it is the perfect honey moon spot. What they find is Winnie and Vic, the happy owners of the little bed and breakfast. It is one of those places that are mainly for gay men to have a wonderful vacation time.

What they had not expected were several boys out on spring break. Though things are looking up with lots of eye candy.
Some of those young men though have their own little secrets.

Ted has been in love with his roommate for over four years. This vacation was to tell him good-bye. He felt like his heart was going to rip out of him, but to keep their friendship he figured this was the only way to do it. However Gabe told him what he sees, and to let Bark know how he feels. Bark surprises him in the end. He has many things to look forward to.

Paul has always been gay and thought that the others knew it, but weren’t they surprised by his one night stand. Hot damn they sound good together. Then there is Thor who’s only secret was he had at one time made out with a guy, but when he and Paul take a little more of a look at each other. Well sparks fly. Now Chad and Howie are the ones that have a little more surprises in hand. Just not the way one thinks.

They are coming to grips with their new lives and a storm that is taking over their little vacation spot. I loved the way this book just came together and flew off the pages into my heart. I loved it and cannot wait to read more with Gabe and Ethan in it. Those two cops make my day all the time.

This is one story I would recommend to all. If I could rate is higher than a five I would. Ethan and Gabe’s love for each other just keeps getting stronger and their passion is hotter than ever. They also have this love for helping others. I love that it is the way it is written in these stories. With each one you get more of them, but you also get the story of another loving pair that just doesn’t know it yet.

Hot as all get out.

Review: This is the third book in this series and they can be read as a standalone.

When I first looked at the title I was thinking that the prince of dragons would be a total ass and huge. However I took a look at the blurb and to my surprise he was not what I thought. In fact I absolutely had a blast learning more about him. I was also surprised to learn more about the dragons.

There are five dragons but only four that they know of that are alive. Water, air, earth and fire are the four that most people know about. Kai is an earth dragon or so he thinks. His grandfather is the one that has raised him after his mother had been killed. So his grandfather thinks that Kai needs to be mated but to two men.

Jace has been working for Kai’s family for a while now and has fallen in love with Kai. He sees the gentleness and tenderness in the man. He also sees the innocence and wants him to be protected. He used to be a thief bringing back stolen items to the council. Kai’s grandfather wanted Jace to be one of Kai’s mates and he was all for it. Now all he had to do is to introduce himself to the other man Hiro wanted for his grandson.

Ted is totally pissed off that his cycle breaks down and he is forced to stay a night in town. That is until one sexy cat shifter introduces himself. Jace turns him the hell on and it is going to be one hell of a night. To his total shock he comes face to face with Jace once more when he goes to see what Hiro wants him hired for.

Even more shock was to find out that it was so that he could be mated to Kai and Jace. Hot damn a threesome that is going to stand strong, kick ass and makes some hot sex together. They have a bit of trouble but these three can stand up against it.

Especially when Kai turns out to have a huge secret.

Review: This is a quick story that covers the vague background we are given in the book, Final Encore by Scotty Cade, about main character, Ian Dillon. It leaves me to wonder why Final Encore was not revised and this background somehow incorporated before it had been released as a second edition. My mixed feelings are really because the only reason to read this story is if you have not read or intend to read Final Encore.

All that aside, it’s nice to have Ian’s background in a bit more detail. Ian is such a sweet guy and it’s nice to find out what kind of “kid” (well, young man, he is 21 years old) how he became the person that he is in Final Encore.

I recommend reading this after reading Final Encore (not what I did), because I only appreciated this story after reading the novel.

Review: Each book in the Fire Dragon’s collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved.

The world this author has written about fascinated me and had me wishing to be there also. These dragons went through so much to get where they are now. Now I must admit that I was not happy about the ending. With book two I just thought it would be the lead into the next story but it wasn’t. In fact the beginning to this story was a bit off to me. It was a tad bit confusing.

I think of all the dragons and their mates Khaos is probably my favorite. All of them have gone through pain. Rhaege has the one where his mate dies several times before finally reunited for life. Phrenzy is the one that comes off more pissed than anything and fears that the reason for his mate’s reincarnated self not coming till now is because of his failure. Khaos’s lost his mate to suicide. Khaos had killed Henry’s family and then Henry committed suicide. There is a twist to this one though. It is a fascinating tale, but with each story there is something missing. Not that it took away from the story itself.

Henry and his family have died many times over and unlike the others they were born with the same name and same look. His father and brother were born with the same attitude and hate. Except this time Henry will not deny Khaos. He is more than willing to love his dragon.

These are amazing stories but there is a bit of darkness that comes off with them. It doesn’t take away from the story but it is still there.

There is something about the way that Kelex told this story that not only drew me in but I could not take my attention off of it. The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down. They will protect their mates with their entire lives. I had a blast reading this story.

Review: This is a very cute and hot little story. It is told in such a way that you get a lot of story in a small dynamic story. The only problem I have is that they meet and two days later they are in love. Talking about moving in and buying a business. It goes way to fast and it just doesn’t give you a lot of plot. It doesn’t take away from the story itself though. I truly enjoyed it and can’t wait to read the next story.

Hudson owned a clothing store and was one of those types that you instantly love. He loves to help others out and has a great idea going in his head most of the time. When he sees a cute man standing outside the shop cold, he brings him inside. Things heat up pretty fast for these two men. However Elliott is a bit of a timid young man. He doesn’t really have an assertive bone in his body but his brain is top notched. He helps Hudson out when needed and is falling in love rather quickly.

I don’t know what to actually say without giving the story away. I did enjoy it but it is missing something to make it the perfect story. I would have loved for it to be expanded and give the guys a little bit of time before things heat up. It does leave you hanging at the end. So you never really find out certain things. Like I said it is a cute little story that will get your heart beating fast and your breath catching.

I liked it and look forward to reading the next story.

Blurb: When everything is lost, the only thing left to fight for is love.

Conley Elnon has been abused most of his life. He agrees to help the War Council in uncovering a vampire mole in exchange for having the opportunity to find his family. When he meets his mate Jacob, he leaves him in order to track a mad bomber intent on taking out shifter camps.

Jacob refuses to let his mate escape. He’s waited too long to find his fated mate to let him leave before he’s had a chance to say little more than hello. When he finds his mate in the middle of vampire territory, Jacob has to use all his skills to help his mate figure out the truth between vampires and shifters and how they are responsible for what happened to Conley’s family.

Reader Advisory: This book is best read in sequence as part of a series.

Purchase Link: https://www.totallybound.com/an-omegas-heart

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.
The wait is finally over and the next book in the series is here, Yay! OK on to the review.

Conley is on the hunt to find his mother and brother who believes are still alive and prisoners of the vampires. When he meets Jacob and realizes they are mates he still walks away with the hope they will find each other again.

However, Jacob does not let his mate get away that easily. He finds him again just in time to walk into a very hustle environment.
I loved these two. They are funny and sexy even in mortal danger. They trade one liners and banter throughout the story. Just one example:

“Idiot,”Conley scoffed fondly. He covered his face again. “You are the weirdest wolf I’ve ever met.”
“Good. That makes me different. I like different.”

Conley is an omega and many would see him as a weaker wolf. But he more than proves that he is very capable to fight and kill when needed. Jacob is so accepting of his mate and in fact finds it kind of hot. He sees nothing weak about his mate. Jacob is just happy to have been granted a fated mate.

This book was simply pure fun to read. I was laughing most of the way through it and highly enjoyed it.

That is something I have come to expect when reading an Amber Kell book. There is always a high level of humor, and this did not disappoint. It was well worth the long wait.
