Review: Jessica Skye Davies is a new author for me so I wasn’t for sure what to expect. Let me say that I was amazed and quite pleased with the way the story was told. There is quite a bit of humor in it, which for me is a plus. The characters were a blast and so damn cute together.
Josh is a town man who loves to just walk to where ever he needed to go. He loved to plan the weddings for others and was close to many others. He only had one rule, never plan the wedding of a friend. So here he was enjoying the wedding of friends, when one hell of a sexy man walked in. Ben is the opposite of Josh. He is a country man and is not out at home. He is however very out when he is around Josh.
The problem for Josh is that he is afraid of if their relationship will work. In some ways they are different and in many ways they were alike. It took one date for them to realize that they just seem to connect.
This was a very sweet love story that had very little conflict. In fact there was very little trouble throughout the story. It was a little too sweet in my mind. I always wanted my stories to have at least a bit of trouble between the two characters, and I am not talking about miscommunication. It just was a bit drab in my opinion and the pace was just a bit to slow in some places for me. However it doesn’t really take away from the story itself.
I really enjoyed reading this story and look forward to seeing what other stories this author has out.
I had a lot of fun and would definitely recommend this book.

Review: I really enjoyed reading about Trystan and Asagoroth. It was different and intriguing the way the author blended the old with the new. Trystan is an unchosen angel shunned and bullied which severely pissed me off as if he can help the way he was born. During one instance of bullying he accidentally finds a carving of a dragon.
Every day he is drawn back to the carving by some invisible force. He researches the archives and discovers a tome that has the answers he seeks. Asagoroth was both terrifying and sexy. Terrifying because of his determination to have the angel no matter the cost and lengths he will go to keep him safe from others. It broke my heart all that Asagoroth has suffered especially losing the one he loved a millennium ago.
I found the part in the story about a secret book of the angels and demons fascinating. It made sense though that could be a possibility as everything has two sides.
Brilliantly written, action packed, mysterious, suspenseful and romantic this book will grab your attention from the start and not let go until the very end.
One is a rude jerk. The other, the life of the party.
It was hate at first sight.
Pro beach volleyball players Finn Callahan and Dexter Savage have been rivals since college. While Finn always comes out on top on the court, Dexter’s carefree and fun-loving personality earns him scores of adoring men and women. And as much as Finn fights to deny it, there’s another reason for the tension he feels when Dex is around. Hate wasn’t the only thing he felt when he first laid eyes on his opponent.
When they’re forced to team up, the two men must bury their differences—on and off the court—if either of them is going to succeed professionally.
Review: There was this saying that hate actually means love, but didn’t really think too much about it until I read this story. Here you have two grown men who are total asses to each other but it hides the passion between them. This story is a very emotional read and at first I did not think it would be. I thought it would definitely focus on the actual sport but it is not what this story is about, not completely anyway.
Finn and Dexter have been rivals since they were in college, and it has increased. Both of them are hiding one hell of a secret though. Finn is madly in love with Tristan, until Tristan is killed by a drunk driver. He is completely lost and alone throughout this, as one would expect. He has never told his family that he was gay, and that he had been in love with his teammate.
Here is a champion volley ball player who is losing his mind to grief. Finn is always snapping at everyone, but to his surprise it is the enemy that helps him the most. He has to admit that he was snappy with Dex because he was attracted to him, and that might just lead to more problems.
Dex has had a very harsh life. His mother was a prostitute who was going to sell her own son to other men on the say so of her pimp. He had left that life at fifteen, running away and afraid. He is known as straight but feared that people would realize that he was not. However that was not his only fear. He was afraid of having to go back to the streets. When the one man who angers him the most loses someone who meant something to him, he steps up. He had not known though, just how lost the man is. He fears that if someone finds out that he is gay, that he will lose it all. However he realizes that if he loses Finn, then he will have lost it all.
You can tell right from the start that there is some major sexual tension between these two. Even when Finn was with Tristan, you can just feel the heat. The pace for this story just rocked, you go from hate to love in such a way that it will leave you breathless. All though I have to admit the amount of fighting that these two did made the story slow down a bit too much for me. It was just continuous and that was not a good thing. It doesn’t take away from the story to much though.
I find out that I was quite fascinated with this story and was very glad that it did not focus too much on the sports part of it. I loved how you can feel the heat, see the tension, and the feelings you can tell are there. I am not sure what the next book will be like however I am looking forward to finding out.
This is a book I would recommend, especially if you love sexy athletes and some hot sex.

Oh my god was this book fantastic. Feio and Nicklaus take on a mission that spans the universe in search of answers. What they discover is way more than they bargained for.
Despite what Nicklaus went through he is smart and dedicated to the mission, despite the fact that he has problems being around others. Feio has been so patient and understanding with Nicklaus, ever since they meet and has done everything in his power to let Nicklaus come to him when he’s ready.
The intense situations, twists and turns plus an amazing cast of characters just blew my mind. I could not believe how much information was dispersed throughout this great story. I loved how well the story flowed. It seemed we were given just enough to keep reading bit by bit as Nicklaus discovers who he really is.
The revelation about Nicklaus… I was not expecting but was pleasantly surprised and awed by it. I loved everything about this story and am looking forward to more in the series.

Review: Kaden was orphaned by war, joining the army was for the security of three meals a day, as rumors fly that the Army was going to send anyone who was not ready to join the armored unit back to the orphanages for another three years has Kaden trying out for the armored unit. Injured while on a mission Kaden is now desperate to prove that he is still an asset before anyone realizes the extent of his injuries. Sent on a simple mission to oversee two cadets (Wayland and Bradley) retrieving the armor of a dead warrior, things begin to go wrong.
Shun has one mission in mind, destroy the armor of the man who hurt his mother. Meeting up with three armored warriors gives Shun the perfect opportunity to exact his revenge… but things go drastically wrong when he confides in a friend.
Kaden is a fantastic character; he has a strength of will that just jumps off the page. Shun is a little harder to get a grip on as a character as the story is from Kaden’s perspective, but he seems to be a great man who is a little naïve and a little too trusting with those he calls friends.
Their relationship gets off to a rocky start… what with Shun nicking the armor that Kaden was trying to retrieve! But they quickly start to semi trust each other when they have to work together to get it back from the man who stole all the armor units when Shun is betrayed. Their trust builds quickly though and their physical reaction to each other helps a lot with that, and their relationship does move quickly although it isn’t an easy one.
Wayland and Bradley (the cadets) also play a large part in this story; they have their own problems with each other due to sibling rivalry, both girls trying to prove themselves so it’s gets a little sticky at times as their resentment spills over.
The storyline is amazing, we have fantastic armor that is so much more than any of them realize, then we have the danger that seems to lurk everywhere, there’s loads of action as they try to get the armor back and then we also have a huge great doozy of a surprise that just comes out of nowhere and leaves you gobsmacked as the ramifications hit you.
This is a well-crafted story that shows us the strengths of the characters as well as their weaknesses, it shows a love that begins to blossom in really hard times, it throws you into settings that come alive around you and it reveals treachery from unexpected quarters.
I recommend this story to those who love science fiction that is laced with mystery and suspense, who adore characters who will overcome any obstacles to prove their worth, who love difficult love stories, and an ending that is just the beginning.
