Review: Each book in the Hounds of Hell collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

I came across this author when she used another name and loved her unique stories. It is a fascinating world to live in. I love how in this series, hounds of hell are actually the good guys in this story. One would think that they only do evil works, but this shows a different side to the coin so to speak. It is a world where parents who are nearly evil or are just plain evil, sell the soul of their unborn child for what ever they want. Then the hounds realized with the angel’s help that the souls they were to take were in fact blessed souls.

It is a very entertaining story with action packed adventure stuck in, plus you add in hot sex and confused hounds, and you get a blast to read. Her stories are tight and written with a gift, that you can’t help but fall in love with each one of her characters. Not only that but most of her characters have had a hard time in the past or were abused by those who were suppose to love them. The hounds get the ones that are perfect for them and soften the way they normally are.

Daniel’s parents turned out to be pure evil. They abused him and caused him so much stress that he was constantly in pain. He is one of the sweetest souls I have seen so far. Always a smile and a kind gesture to those around him. He is about to find out that his mate is just as golden as he is and is a goof in many ways.

Hugh is a hound that has a heart of gold. He doesn’t really connect with many around him and doesn’t look at a person as if they were just playthings. He is in fact not that interested in the sexual aspect as well, but that changes when he finds his mate. It just takes him a bit longer then most.

I really enjoyed this story more then the others. It felt like a new direction had been taken in the writing that made it stand out even more for me. I had a blast reading this and can not wait to get my hands on the next story.

Review: I loved the differences between Alex and Dudley. Dudley was so sweet and bubbly yet it was a mask to hide his insecurities about himself. Alex was strong and tough. Together these two realize they complete the other. Though they went through a rough beginning they shined through.

I really enjoyed this story and meeting all the shifters on Sovereignty Island. They were an interesting mix of species that flourished and persevered. I am curious though as to who is targeting the bird shifters on the island. I’m looking forward to also reading more about the fairyfly brothers and Como.

Fantastic read.

Review: Carter just needed to get away from it all. So he decides to take a nice cruise and ignore everyone. Too bad Sterling steps in and captures his attention. Then he finds out what Sterling truly is, and things take an interesting turn.

I liked the idea of werewolves, even though it is used way too much. The story is unique, but there were several mistakes that I saw in the word usage department. I was all set to actually give this a good rating, till the moment the alpha said he would still screw the omega and women to get them pregnant. That is where the author lost my attention. To me it is still cheating and it is one of my pet peeves.

Also it has a very dark tone to it, which I didn’t much care for. Now I usually give the book a say, and check the next one out to see if it is different. However the mention of sleeping around did it to me, and I am sorry to say but I will not be reading the rest of this series. Mating is sacred and should never deviate, cheating is a no (even if the other doesn’t see it as that), so it would make it nasty in my eyes. Sorry to say but this book was not for me.

Review: I must say I was a little at a loss with this story as the MC is a female and I’m an mm reader.

But as the story progressed I enjoyed it. Elsa was simply adorable. The professor’s gang get themselves in a pickle and are captured and only Elsa can rescue them.

This is a fast paced short and sweet story with plenty of action and suspense as is fitting an adventure series. Really good addition to the series.

Great read.

Review: This story ties directly into the Asphalt Bay Series and it is recommended that you at least read books 1-4 before starting this one. I will admit that I read this one before I read the first book in the Asphalt Bay series. I did it backwards.

Joel left his pack to form a new pack with him as alpha. He is married with a son, but they are not fated mates. Which is what is missing from his heart. With the help of his men, he locates some vampires held by a cruel scientist. He needs to see if the coven near him will take them in.

Alistair is a very old vampire but he only looks like he is in his twenties. I wish I had that power. When his second comes in, he scents his mate off of him. Then he finds out his mate is married with a kid, he is set to die without letting Joel know. Too bad Joel’s wife has something to say about it, she has found her mate also. Wow now she is a kick.

When I first started reading I almost put it down thinking that this was a m/m romance with a female added in. So thank god I went ahead a kept on reading. Now this is one of those instant love and sex kind of books, which doesn’t appeal to me very well. Also the author made them more human then paranormal, in the fact that she actually makes the alpha seem weak. Which is not a good idea also. What saved this was the fact that it was funny as hell. I got a kick out of it, but I do hope this author doesn’t continue with the weak alpha part. It makes it look a bit off in a way. I still had fun reading it and can’t wait to see what the next book will be like.

Review: Benoit is the third book in VL Locey’s and RJ Scott’s Owatonna series, revolving around the lives and loves of the young men playing on the Owatonna University’s ice hockey team, with the hopes of making it the big time. I absolutely love the collaboration between these two authors, the writing is fun. There is a lot of passion behind the hockey, the characters are wonderfully likable and relatable and the chemistry between the couples is undeniable.

This book doesn’t necessarily need to be read as part of the series. Well… maybe a standalone, not really… at this point there are a lot of characters being called back to, so I do strongly recommend doing so because there are strong links with the previous two books in the series. Not only that, there is also some not-as-strong links to Locey’s and Scott’s Harrisburg Railers series. (Which reminds me, at the end of the book I saw that there is another spin off series, the first book released in September and I think I lost my mind with excitement).

The boys that we met in book 1, Ryker, are now in senior year (although poor old Ryker’s boyfriend has already graduated). Now in their final year Benoit knows that his chance to prove himself worthy of a spot of a professional team is upon him. He just wants to get through the year and focus on his hockey, even though his two good friends show him how happy being in love makes a person. Benoit is ready to give it his all and while the new coach, Ethan Girard could help him professionally, their instant attraction is undeniable. There is only ten years between the men and Ethan isn’t actually employed as a coach so there isn’t really any rules against a mentor and a player having a relationship. Instead, the guys get to have a very normal kind of relationship, dating and discovering each other. But all around them real life provides it’s challenges. The biggest challenge being for Ethan is the broken leg that leaves him at a cross road – he needs to decide if he should continue his NHL playing career or retire. However, with Benoit’s career starting and Ethan’s ending, things aren’t always so clear as to how these two can work it out.

This was a fun book and had some great call backs to the Harrisburg Railers series. For one, favourites Mads and Ten (Ryker’s father and stepfather) and Stan (the Russian goalie with a big heart) making appearances to guide Benoit in his career. We also get to hear from Ten’s big brother, Brady, who happens to be Ethan’s best friend and teammate from Boston. Brady doesn’t play as big a background role as he did back in Ten’s story, but it was nice to see a friendly face. There is so much fan service for those that have followed the series, I don’t think you can’t help but to be satisfied with this book.

Ok, strike what I said in the beginning. This is not a standalone book. You need to read the full series. I just hope it’s not because I’m a massive fan of these series!

Review: This story was outstanding. I thought I knew what was going to happen and I was happy to be proven wrong in my assumptions.

Not everything is as it seems in this little community. Androids play a vital role in the help they give this city. Luke is fierce though he does suffer panic attacks. I love his dedication to his job. Elliot is sweet and funny yet a force to be reckoned with when riled up.

Luke and Elliot grow closer as questions arise about the androids and the president. The twists and turns had me astounded with their reveal. I was in awe of the book and how story unfolded. I have to admit I was impressed with the plot and the many characters throughout. I loved Freddie, Luke, Elliot and Mitchell.

I was curious about Luke and what happened to him as that was not said in detail other than that I was delightfully amazed with the book. I really hope there is a sequel to this story as I would love to read Freddie and Mitchell’s story especially with how this one ended.

Highly recommended.

I have ready pretty much every book this author has came out with and am always amazed at her gift at giving an amazing story. This particular series is very unique and always keeps one on their toes. The characters are a blast to read about and damn if they are not feisty. My attention was caught from the first line and kept all the way to the end. It is the perfect length for me and I get a kick out of the guys. Sasha is about to meet his match.

Dante and his cousins had found a scroll that explained their crazy birthmark. It also told of a story full of hate and deceit from the bear shifter world. Believing in the story, the bears would kill all who had the mark. Dante is a feisty and argumentative young man who is a prima donna of drama. He has just found his mate, and if that man gives him one more order he was going to dye his eyebrows pink.

Sasha had always believed in the story so imagine his surprise when he finds out the truth. He has also found his mate, and damn if that man is not giving him hell. To bad many others believe the old ways, and keeping his mate safe is on the front line. Of course when his mate finds out he is pregnant with twins, he might want to run for cover.

I don’t really care for the way the bears attitude causes havoc but it sure is a blast to see Dante in a fit. I sure hope Charlie gets his story, I think that will be the one that will have me in tears. This story was a blast to read and I can’t wait to read the next book.

Review: I really enjoyed reading this story. One of the characters, Wes, was unique in that he was dead but brought to life and now n ghost himself to recover items for his clients. I was honestly confused as to how he ghosted somewhere then traveled somewhere only to reappear in his actual body. I could not figure out how that was possible.

Hudson is Wes’ ex and a detective now thirty three years after they broke up Wes ends up calling him about something he saw. The two have some tense moments when they meet up to discuss the murder. From there the story delves further into the mystery as bodies start piling up.

I loved how the story unfolded it was riveting and captured my attention from start to finish. The paranormal aspect made for a deeper mystery and the clues were compelling. Hudson’s secret was mind blowing as well as the circumstances surrounding it.

I loved everything about this story and was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book.

Fantastic read.

Review: Each book in Kontra’s Menagerie collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This story is connected to Wolves of Stone Ridge, so I would suggest reading those first.

I started reading romance stories when I was a young girl, and have always been drawn to paranormal stories. It was not till a few years ago that I started reading gay romance but I still move towards the paranormal. Charlie Richards hits all my buttons with her books and the worlds she creates are ones that I would love to be in.

Deter and Max are fully developed characters and they make one drool. It is action packed, danger filled and down right fun to read. It caught my attention from the beginning and kept it all the way to the end. This is one of my favorite series and I can not wait to get my hands on the next book.

Review: The gang is back for more adventure in this exciting addition to the series. Caro wants the piece of the clock to change time. He will stop at nothing from attaining the knowledge he seeks to achieve his goal.

Exciting, adventurous and danger are all in abundance in this fifth installment. The gang must stop Caro, but Caro is on a mission no matter the cost. Fathom’s Five finds themselves in precarious predicaments to save time itself from a madman.

I truly enjoyed this action packed installment. Danger is in abundance as well as sexy times in between the adventures the group are involved in. A wonderful thriller/adventure in the series.
