Review: When I first saw this book it was the title that caught me. I thought that it was going to be a humor story that would keep me laughing. However after the blurb I knew that it might not be the case. So I wasn’t sure but when you see the guys on the cover with the dog it was a pretty much given that I would grab it.

This author was also new to me so I wasn’t sure at first. It is like taking a chance.

Which is what Ben did with Jay. He had lost his sight over a year ago due to a mugging. His boyfriend left him and he couldn’t do his art. He was terrified of taking any chances any more.

Yet when Jay hit Ben’s dog by accident, he was scared that he was going to lose someone he loved again. To his luck Jay was also a veterinarian. He was falling in love with Ben. Now all he had to do is to show Ben it would be great. Ben just had to take a chance.

I loved this book and look forward to reading more by this author. It was a fascinating tale that just draws you in and keeps you there.

I had so much fun with this book and would definitely recommend it.

Blurb: Rather than spend his first post-college summer on the beach with a hot boy and a margarita, Zane Woodward goes home. While the lectures aimed at getting him to be more respectable like his lawyer father aren’t appreciated, Zane wants to be near his sister and his best friend—both of whom he’s convinced need him.

Enter Geordie Finsen: the Buddhist, blue-haired, stacked house sitter-next-door. Geordie has a penchant for parties, older women who can pay the bills, younger men who can wear him out—and he may or may not be able to control the weather.

While Geordie and his philosophies begin untangling Zane from his own expectations and hang-ups, they bring the two closer and closer. Soon their chemistry flares into a hot and heavy summer romance. But Geordie has hang-ups of his own, including an aversion to getting too attached to anyone or anything.

When things get a little too heavy between him and Zane, his instinct to cut loose and run free is tested, and Zane’s plans for a perfect escape of his own might never get off the ground.

Review: This is part of a series and normally I would say that it needs to be read in order. However the way they are told, they can be read as standalone.

There is quite a bit of different types of feelings flowing in this story. This is the first book that I have read by Katey and I was impressed with the way it flowed together. The characters are well written and very deep. They are also loveable, but there is something off about them.

Zane has finished college getting a degree in a course that he never wanted to take. He always loved music, but his asshat of a father wanted him to continue to going to school. In fact he wanted him to go to law school, he just didn’t want to. He even went home against his better judgment.

However his little sister came first. She had anxiety issues and he felt that he needed to stay with her. His best friend tried to help, even tried to get him to move in with him. Then he met Geordie.

Geordie is the one that comes off a bit weird. He looks like an elf and seems to have control over the weather. He wants Zane and is happy that Zane wants him back. However he is the one that is basically off in the story. He has blue hair, pointed ears, a Buddhist and is watching the house for a lady. Even though the sex between them is hot and wanting, he wants to take off and run. He is scared it seems. He comes off as a Gypsy to me or maybe a hippie. I don’t know.

Even though it is a well written story with some heat to it, this book was definitely not for me. I love paranormals, but not when they don’t pull at me. I even had a hard time concentrating on it. It didn’t catch my attention like it should have so I was disappointed in it. I did like the way they stood up for each other and mixed so well. I did like it but it was missing something for me all the way around.

Blurb: All James wanted was a little solitude at his favorite resort: bright sunshine overhead, soft, white sand underfoot, and a hammock to read in while the warm breeze rustles through the coconut palms and almond trees. However, when an old acquaintance shows up, and James is obliged to share “his” beach, a profound exchange over a bottle of rum leads to a lust-fuelled encounter in the dark.

Reeling from the intensity of the drunken tryst, James decides to cut his vacation short rather than face what he’s kept hidden under mountains of denial.

However, his escape is thwarted when Rudie, handsome and plainspoken, calls him out on his behavior and makes him see that life needn’t be spent running away from his desires.

Set at a rundown old resort on a small Caribbean island, The Last Nights of The Frangipani Hotel is a story about letting go of fear and learning that passion and love can be found in the most unexpected of places.

Review: As the author narrates the story, mostly threw the voice of James, an actor on hiatus who craves silence and a solitary existence, we find him where he vacations on an island in the Caribbean surrounded by the solitude he craves. The Last Nights of the Frangipani Hotel will pull you in, as though you are there on the island watching from the distance.

Bey Deckard is a masterful storyteller and with his descriptions and details that set up the backdrop of this story, you have a perfect visual of two men, both different yet so much alike, looking to belong…to something or someone.

Rudie, also an actor, stumbles onto “James’s beach” looking for his own rest and relaxation. At first, James is a little put out that he now has company encroaching on his island, as he likes to refer to it, but he soon realizes that having company is not so bad.

James’s denial runs deep about his wants and desires but the hidden truths that have plagued him for many years are starting to surface, as he watches Rudie from a distance. The big question is will he be able to accept the change that Rudie has brought out in him? Will he be able to turn his brain off and enjoy their moments together?

James has a couple of bouts of panic but Rudie brings him back with his words and understanding. He even experiences a bit of jealousy and is surprised by the intensity of his feelings. However, he knows their time is coming to an end and he wants to make the most of it.

Rudie has darker needs that he is not afraid to voice. As their last days dwindle down, James succumbs to his own needs that are no longer hidden in the recesses of his mind. Giving Rudie what he begs for without restraint and an urgency he has never felt with anyone else, he accepts his true self.

“Teeth bared, I nearly shook with panic and anger and desire as I pushed his legs apart. He didn’t resist. I threw myself down on him, my weight sinking him into the mattress as I grasped my cock and guided it, thrusting into him hard.”
— James

Their time together behind the shutters and closed doors are sometimes rough and miscalculated, but no less intense and moving. They also share pieces of themselves with no expectations in the light of day.

James arrived on the island a lonely and somewhat critical man but he will leave with a new outlook on his future and new possibilities to explore. He finds himself smiling at what lies ahead, but more importantly…the man that he will see.

An incredible short story that is packed full of emotions and new discoveries. If you read, The Complications of T, you will catch a small reference that will bring a smile to your face and if you didn’t it wasn’t relevant enough to throw you off kilter.

Bey Deckard is brilliant with writing lyrical prose and this story is no different with its smooth and flawless execution. One of the things I love best reading stories by this author is I always learn something. Whether it’s new words, phrases, or a spot on the map, I always take away new knowledge and I love that.

I highly recommend this novella to anyone who loves to fall into a story where the author cloaks you with words and descriptions and you are mesmerized until the end.

Review: I was not sure how I would feel about this book once I read the blurb but I was amazed by the story. Raze is a Seminus demon who can only have sex with females but he is gay so that leaves him hungering for the one thing he thinks he cannot have. Slake is a very rare Doucos demon and wants Raze.

What I found intriguing was Raze and Slake’s past and the circumstances surrounding them both. The mystery of Slake was riveting and I thoroughly enjoyed finding out about him. It shocked me about his kind of demon and I was impressed with all the details in the story that lead to a satisfying conclusion.

I absolutely could not stand either Dyre, Slake’s boss, or Fayle, another demon, who tricked Raze. Both of their actions were despicable to say the least. Absolutely fantastic story that will have you reading nonstop to find out what happens.

I loved everything about this book except for the sex between Fayle and Raze which was very brief.

Highly recommended.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order. This series also coincides with events happening in the Paranormal Wars: Juarez series.

Ok, this book was a little disappointing to me. I was pretty sure Diallo was described as a blue-eyed blond in “Mating in Stormy Waters” and he was. So when he was introduced as a slim-black man we copper eyes I was confused. So my OCD made me go back and look it up. And yes he has been completely changed since he was introduced. So from the start things we getting a little off course.

Next up is way would Dugan be chosen to lead the hunt for the children? Nothing was ever said about why he and Diallo for that matter were selected. Also what the hell was the deal with the Death Valley scene? Why were they dropped there? That all deal made no sense to me.

OK, looking past all the things they left me with questions. The romance between Diallo and Dugan was nice and sweet. Both men have deep scars. Dugan from the bombing that left him without a leg, and Diallo with his years of physical and sexual abuse.

The fact that Diallo was able to let Dugan in and find happiness was good. Dugan was so gentle with Diallo since he has heard the stories of what happened to Diallo. There were also some really sweet and cute moments between them. I really liked the scene with the wild dolphins.

Overall, not as good as some of the other books in the series. But, if you can look beyond some of the inconsistencies, a good romance.

Review: As always Stormy has given us another hit. Although I would have liked it better had they all been sexually active, if you get my meaning. Two brothers fated to one mate is hot, but had the brothers been kinky would have been ten times better.

Danny had hated his home life. They were downright cruel to him and let him know that he was worthless. The problem was, it was all alive. His father and brothers were not who they said they were. Danny was also a very big klutz. So when he was summoned to his father’s estate, he was doing it right out of the hospital. He had not expected two sexy mountainous men to be there.

Ben and Abe are bear-shifters and they knew who their mate was. They knew the minute their mate was born. When the hunters found them and killed Danny’s parents, he was whisked away to the city. They knew they needed to take it easy with their mate however it would seem the loss of money pushes someone to try to get rid of Danny permanently. It is up to the twins to keep their mate safe.

This was amazing and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next story. I loved how tender they both are with him and how kinky they really are. I just wished there had been some brother loving in the book.

I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Blurb: In a world where supernatural creatures openly exist, who can blame them for coalescing in one of the most fascinating and erotic places on earth? Welcome to New Orleans.

Emotions are a human flaw, certainly nothing he’s familiar with…
Yet when Laurant looks at his mysterious lover, something happens deep within him. He’s a sex demon who has eyes for only one man. Man? When did he stop referring to his lover as a meal? And when did he turn into a green-eyed demon? Perhaps when family came calling, requesting help. No one wants their lover surrounded by sex demons. If Laurant can’t get a grip on his newly found emotions, humans and supernaturals alike will be in danger.

He lost his one chance of finding out who he is, what he is…
Gun’s been hunting down the witch that pilfered his memories and issued him false ones to no avail. It’s like she disappeared off the face of the earth. Unfortunately, that scenario is quite plausible. It leaves Gun with a major dead-end and a mind that is no longer his friend.

Memories of a false love with a beautiful woman hinder his present unexplainable need for a certain incubus. But does he truly belong here…with a lover who can’t feel love, a city that isn’t his home, and a ragtag group of poker players that now call him friend? It’s time for Gun to forget the past and create a future for himself. At least the forgetting part is simple.

They both have personal issues to conquer, if they could just stop trying to conquer each other first.

Review: This is part of a series and larger collection. You do need to read the series in order and it is best to read the collection.

At first I felt this wasn’t going to be as good as this series usually is since there was mostly a lot of dialogue and discussion between Gun and Laurant but it picked up quickly. I really love Laurant and am so curious to see who this mystery man Gunn is.

I will say the end was quite a shocker. Laurant is so charismatic even though he is a sex demon he also has a vulnerable side we begin to see and I simply adore his humor.

If you like vampires, Demons, sex demons, mystery and a preternatural story that is full of fun I highly recommend this series!

Review: The world that Edmond Manning is a complex fantastical one which has to be read to be believed. The world which the series the Lost and Founds is set in is either some grand mythical thing or it is an entirely psychological trip. Either way, King John is a great albeit intense book to read. It is book 4 of the Lost and Found series and honestly I think it would be difficult to grasp without reading at least the first book.

The narrator of King John, like the previous books in the series, is Vin – a mechanic and goes by numerous names. He has the ability to “king” people, which more often than not involves having sex. Now, I’m entirely sure the exact deal – Edmond Manning is great at giving us more questions than answers, it seems – but Vin is something of a godlike figure to many people.

He takes people on a “journey” and “guides” them before he kings them (which happens over a weekend). This whole “kinging” business involves fantastical adventures that are nothing less than psychedelic. It’s the only way I can explain it.

In fact, I sum it up as the psychedelic adventures of a lonely god. It’s not a conventional love story, but involves something along the lines of (to borrow the song title) sexual healing.

The other main player is Alistair. He has been seeking Vin out for a couple of years now. He had heard about Vin and wanted more than anything to be “kinged” by Vin. With the scars of his past forever haunting him, Alistair has quite a mental journey to go on. I wasn’t quite sure about Alistair at first and I don’t think I am even now. He is forceful and just the total opposite to who I could see Vin willingly spending time with and choosing to “king” him.

Now, the reason why I gave this 3.5 hearts instead of 4 and it’s really simply. The first half of the book was long. Not much seemed to happen other than back and forth and the odd argument between Vin and Alistair as they started on Alistair’s journey.

There was a lot of telling, though there was not a lot of explanation (but to be fair the latter is something that I expect from this series anyway).

It’s a long and intense read, but it is enjoyable. If you are looking for pure romance with a HEA, you will not get it. This is a totally physical book.

As I said, the psychedelic adventures of a lonely god. I really want to shut myself off to the world and listen to The Doors now – it’s that type of thing.

Review: Each book in the Federal Paranormal Agency collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved.

There is something about the way that Olivia Black tells a story that will not only draw you in and keep your attention the whole time but it will have you in tears at some part. Olivia has always been one of my favorite authors. There is just something about her characters, story and the way they mix with each other. With these stories it gives you a mate that has at some point been hurt. The alpha of the pair feels so much for his mate, he will do everything to protect his mate and keep him safe.

Winston’s mother had been killed in a car accident when he was a child, and he didn’t really get over it. He loved his father and knew his father loved him, but they were always at odds. To be rebellious he became a doctor then went into foreign countries to save those who had no help. He became a doctor with Doctors without Borders.

In Somalia the dangers were very real. Doctors were killed or kidnapped, patients shot, threats against all yet Winston stayed to help. Then the dangers were at him. Kidnapped, beaten, forced to work on soldiers he felt without hope. He was close to dying, when the sweetest angel came for him. It seems he was the mate of a FPA agent.

Ian had taken one look at Winston’s photo and knew there was something pulling at him. It wasn’t until he found him that he knew this gorgeous man was his mate. His mate was close to death, but once he found him he knew he would do everything to show him that he was safe.

There is something about this book that just draws you in and keeps you captivated. I loved the way the characters acted towards each other. I think that so far out of all the books these two are my favorite.

I would definitely recommend reading this book. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.

Review: I am not going to tell what the story is about since the blurb above covers it quite well. If you are waiting for my usually line of this is a sweet romance…it’s not coming. Its edgy, angsty, emotional, and sexy. There are scenes that walk a thin line on the border of non-consent when Corey and Dax battle for dominance and a touch of violence when Corey robs the jewelry store. I loved Dax’ battle between right and wrong, then his feelings for Corey.

My heart went out to both men in very different ways. Though what Corey did was very wrong and I felt he did not mean to implement Dax the way he did, part of me wondered if he didn’t plan it that way. Dax’ inner turmoil was perfect.

I felt so many emotions while reading this story and highly recommend it.

If you like something different, angsty, edgy stories with some hot mans-sex this is for you.

The king of his dragon court was deemed cursed centuries ago, and dragonkind has kept King D’Vaire and the five dragons loyal to him far removed from the rest. Learning that a warlock and her familiar have arrived at his court is not enough to bring Brogan home. But when Brogan hears that his family is discussing plans to turn their home into a sanctuary for misplaced shifters and magickind he cuts short his current trip and rushes home. There is no way Brogan wants his family at the mercy of freaks and outcasts, and Brogan will do whatever it takes to stop the sanctuary.

Review: I have to say this book was not like I was expecting at all. I really thought it would go in an entirely different direction. It was so much bigger than just a romance book. There was so much work put into the world this takes place in. The characters were well-developed.

This book also gave me a wide range of emotions. From laughing my ass off to wanting to hit some of the characters upside their heads, mostly Ayden and Brogan. Both Ayden and Brogan have so many misunderstanding and just plain stupidity moments. However when they finally got it to work they were perfect for each other.

The history of magic kind and the different types were very interesting and I enjoyed the different take the author had on them. Although I will admit at times I thought things dragged a little.

Sometimes there just seemed to be too much information crammed in at times.

Overall, this was a very enjoyable and intriguing book. I cannot wait to see where the author goes from here. There are so many loose ends left and I want to see how the author ties them up in the next book.

Review: Each book in the Peyton City collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved. I love the way this author can put together a book that not only fascinates you but draws you in. I had a blast reading this and look forward to reading more by E. A. Reynolds.

The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down. They will protect their mates with their entire lives. I had a blast reading this story. I only had one problem with this story is that it is a bit confusing trying to figure out who is against the white panthers and who is not. Well it gets confusing throughout the story to me.

Jessup is a white wildcat and he is gay. In his pride gays used to be killed however now they are forced to mate with stronger females. They are forced to become what their alpha wanted. Let’s face it this kid’s family needs to be beat. He had even signed up with a dating service to find a mate.

He had not expected a black panther though. His cat just wanted to purr at him. However he had witnessed a murder and someone was out to kill him. He needed to be protected and it looks like his mate was taking over.

Brady is a very dominant panther with quite a bit of kink to him. He comes off cold throughout the book though. I wasn’t sure I liked him, well until the end. His mate just happens to be a sexy little man, who used to play baseball. He loves his fancy nails, stylish hair and quirky attitude. He was trying to find out who was trying to kill them, and at the same time keep them safe.

There are just a few words that appear at the wrong time, but other than that my attention never wavered from the story. It had caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it there all the way to the end.

They do have a bit of a serious tone to them but there is a touch of humor in them that I love. It gave me everything I could want in a book.

I would definitely recommend reading this book. What is better than gorgeous men, sexy little mates, male pregnancy, excitement, some hot and kinky sex, a little bit of twists and lots of danger?

Review: This is the second book in the Nested Hearts series and the books need to be read in order, as trying to read this one as a standalone will make no sense.

I liked this a bit less than book one, so I’ll say this is a good solid 3 stars. If you’re looking for a book with sex steamy enough to set your kindle on fire, keep moving; this isn’t one of those books.

Bowerbirds picks up exactly where Empty Nests left off, and while I was hoping more progress will be made in the sex department, that part of Gabe’s and James’s relationship was slow going. I did enjoy seeing their relationship progress and become more serious. Although James’s insecurities and penny-pinching tendencies were just as annoying in this book as they were in the previous one.

As much as I hoped he was going to get over his virginal mind-set and become a sexy creature, it didn’t happen. In fact, I’d go as far as to say James is why I can’t say I loved this book. He was so stubborn when it came to allowing Gabe to buy presents for him, and his constant pride getting in the way of things pissed me off.

Gabe is still as sexy as he was in the first book, and I liked him just as much this time around. I loved how serious he was about his relationship with James and how focused he was on improving his relationship with Dylan for James’s sake.

I went crazy for the whole time Gabe and Dylan spent time mini golfing and bonding. I think that was my favorite part of the whole book, because these two are my favorite characters.

Dylan is an amazing son and I loved him to pieces. I can’t wait for the next book, because I have a feeling his ankle injury is going to affect his scholarship, and Gabe will step in to help. I really hope James stops being an idiot and gets over his pride, because it’s about time.

And please, may I ask for some steamy sex? It’s not too much to ask for, is it?

Review: Each book in the Rescue for Hire West collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. To get a better look at them, I would suggest reading Rescue for Hire first. There you will meet the original characters and learn how the west was born.

I came across Rescue for Hire not long ago and can honestly say that they are probably one of my favorite series to read. So when I saw that Bellann was writing a new one that was connected I had to jump on it. Rescue for Hire West has definitely been a hit for me. Not only because they have the past military history, so you know that these men are strong, but they also have the heart.

There is always danger mixed into the love story which to me makes for a better story. I also love the fact that once they are on the team the become family and those that they fall in love with automatically become family also. They will protect their family with every bit of power that they have.

Tristen was Jimmy’s brother. Everyone thought he was a slut, but in truth he just liked to flirt. He knew when Jimmy had been dating the stable hand back home that the man was not for him. He had made a mistake though in believing that they had broken up. He seemed to just keep screwing up though. After going to the ranch to apologize to Jimmy, he had kissed the boys. He was going back for one of them, when he was intercepted by Santos.

Santos knew that Tristen was his. He had not moved fast enough the first time, but now that Tristen was sneaking in, it was his turn to make the move. He learned that his little hellion was a brat but a sexy one. It was up to him to show him whose boss. He would keep his man safe at all times, and show him that he is definitely taken.

Although Santos has a bit of attitude that definitely sets me on edge. There is just something about the man. He comes off a bit cold throughout the story. Whereas Tristen is a definite submissive he is the one that a person would love. He is just so damn cute.

This book just grabs your attention from the moment you start reading and keeps it there till you have read every word. Hell my attention is caught by the cover right off the bat. They will also have you laughing at parts of the story.

This book gave me everything I could ask for in a story and so much more. I just wished that there were more to read, I absolutely hate having to wait for the next story.

Hint Hint for Bellann. Come on girly give me another book to read. I loved this one and cannot wait for the next amazing story.

Review: I promised myself I would stay away from books where the main character is a priest, because the last one I read was a major disappointment. But when I realized Indra was one of the authors, my promise went to hell in 3 seconds flat. I’ve read all of Indra’s books and I loved every single one of them, so I went ahead and requested this one for review.

I’m now emotionally exhausted, I have a major book hangover, but I’m smiling like a lunatic because I simply LOVED this book! I’m a big fan of books where the MCs are childhood friends, I love books in which a couple gets their second chance to get it right, I adore rock star books; this book had it all, and it’s now one of my favorite books ever.

Leta Blake is a new author to me even though I’ve heard about her… I know, how outrageous! The only explanation I have is that I was never drawn to her books, but I think maybe that’s about to change. Leta and Indra together are simply brilliant!

The writing in this book is done in such a beautiful way. I could picture every detail, every landscape, without being bored to death by overly descriptive scenes. The characters are complex, riveting, fascinating, easy to relate to, and written is such a way, that I found myself emotionally invested with them from the very first page.

I’m not gonna lie, this was a very long book, but the story flows beautifully, and there was never a moment I thought this book should have been shorter.

Make sure to be mentally prepared for a ton of angst, because there’s so much emotional angst in this book, I drowned in it at times; and yet I didn’t think it was too much. It was touching and it evoked many emotions, I was smiling and crying, I got goose bumps and in the last half I was certain I was going to catch fire.

Nico Blue aka Nicky (to friends and family) broke my heart but he was my favorite character. Abandoned as a baby by his birth mother and left to die alone in a dumpster, Nico now suffers from attachment disorder and keeps the whole world on the outside, unable to make emotional connections with his adoptive parents or anyone else…..except Jasper (aka Jazz).

Jazz and Nicky were best friends since childhood, became lovers as teenagers, and separated and both went their own way when they were 17. Nicky became Nico Blue, a guitarist and song writer idolized by fans, a drug addict who couldn’t live a day without the drugs that helped him cope with a life without Jazz in it.

Jazz felt his spiritual calling from a very young age, and even though he loved Nicky with all his heart, there could never be a choice between God and Nicky. He’s very passionate about his job, but nothing is more important than the homeless LGBT teen shelter he runs. Those kids are his life, and he would do absolutely anything to keep them safe.

When Nicky returns to their hometown and they reconnect for the first time, all the contentment Father Jazz in his current life was blown away by the powerful connection and attraction he still has for Nicky. I loved their interactions, from the innocent, vulnerable friendship they rekindled, to the passion and love that refused to be ignored.

And holy crap, who would’ve thought the proper innocent Father Jazz, could turn into a sexy, filthy, dirty-talker??? The sex doesn’t happen until the last third of the book, but when it does, you’ll see it’s worth the wait. It was so hot and passionate. I thought I was going to go up in flames.

The secondary characters are complex and beautifully written; Nicky’s parents were incredibly supportive and loved him unconditionally, their relationship with Nicky was very touching. The band, the congregation, Father Andrew, the LGBT kids, they all came together in a flawless way that brought depth and complexity to the story.

This was one of the best books I’ve read this year, and I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Review: This is book three in the Bear Mountain series. Asher, an Omega, has been abused by his family all his life. He yearns to escape and be free. When he is brutally attacked and left to die it seems as though his prayers have been answered when two sexy bears, Graham, a sheriff and Airan, a doctor, claim he is their mate. Asher will have to decide if he is willing to take a chance with everything he has been through.

I found this book to be very well written. There is drama, mystery and of course chaos at times with someone intending to get things they don’t deserve. I found Tyson, I think it was, to be downright despicable and disgusting in the things he did to be Alpha. I hated him with a passion at what he and Oberon did to Asher.

I loved this story of someone going through something so traumatic and shining through rather than letting it ruin their life. The author’s letter at the end both broke my heart and made me happy. No one should have to go through something like that ever. But to be able to move forward and take control after something like that happening is absolutely fantastic in my book.

I applaud all of those who rise above such horrible events saying to the world and those who hurt them. They didn’t win and never will.

Highly recommended.

Having located a mutilated corpse of a young man in a dumpster, I realize how serious the demon problem is. The markings on the body are the same as the markings on the other dead bodies that I was told about. That means one thing, I have to check out this club and the sooner the better. If that doesn’t keep my plate full, I still have to deal with demon bad boy King, Adriel and Raphael, my pain-in-the-butt mate, both want to control my life, or rather sex life, at least. First things first, find out who’s killing people in my city.

Warning: This serial contains strong adult content not meant for sensitive eyes, so don’t expect any roses or chocolates or touchy-feelies. The novelettes in this serial will be filled with dark, twisted, raunchy and steamy scenes between powerful, sexy men and women that will either offend you or get ya revved up. This series will not be pulling any punches, and it won’t apologize for hurting your feelings, either. You’ll find no fluff and ruffles here. These demons play hard and they fight dirty. Review: As Brian and Sheila drive around on patrol they get pulled over when someone finds a body in the dumpster. Brian has a bad feeling but since he can only secure the area and not investigate he leaves it alone. Unfortunately, later that evening, while undercover for the society, he starts putting pieces together. It appears the demonic killings may be the same as the ones related to his human world.

He also realizes that Raphael has not taught him near enough to understand this new part of his life. The Society is not that forthcoming either with information so Brian is walking on eggshells hoping he has the right answers. He keeps making deals that I’m afraid are going to haunt him.

We got a small taste of Adriel in Initiated. However, it was enough to know that he is a very powerful King. In Mischief, we get to see some of his power at work. He’s not impressed with Brian’s disrespect and lack of understanding in the demon world, which is mostly Raphael’s fault, and punishes them both for their insolence.

A new demon is introduced known as a Takata demon. Daylen can give different types of torment, but he will be pleasuring Brian and Raphael. You may wonder how that could be a punishment, but too much pleasure can be torment, especially when hours go by and you are not allowed to orgasm.

Adriel’s goal is to make Brian accept his new role as an Agoto but also accept his role as Raphael’s mate. He wants him to acknowledge that he loves the pleasure from Raphael and he should return the favor, and like it.

Brian does like it, a lot in fact, but it’s hard for him to not only accept these new feelings but to acknowledge them aloud. Before he became a demon, he was 100% straight and never looked twice at a man. That has since changed but he’s not ready to admit these uncomfortable feelings.

Regardless to all the new and confusing feelings and changes going on with Brian, he still has a job to do for the Society. He continues to grapple with his human morals and has a hard time taking an innocent persons life, just because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Trying to take on the attitude that sacrificing one person to save many may be the only thing that will get him through this undercover assignment.

The author continues to raise the stakes on each new episode. I enjoy finding out more information each time which throws us more and more into this demonic world with Brian. We, the readers, are learning just as Brian is learning so a lot of the time this causes me to hold my breath in anticipation or fear, depending on the circumstance, hoping Brian doesn’t take the wrong turn.

Nicholas Bella knows how to write sexy scenes that demand your full attention. As the Takata demon gets busy pleasuring Raphael and Brian, the author shows the level of creativity his imagination can go. I’m not going to spoil it for you by telling you how he pleasures them because each reader needs to experience it as it unfolds but I will say that Nicholas continues to surprise me, every… single…time.

One thing you should know about this author, if you don’t already, he will push your imagination to new heights and he doesn’t write the same scenes over and over. It’s intense and refreshing. I shouldn’t be surprised by these new revelations, but I am each time. I find myself just shaking my head, smiling from ear to ear, and saying Wow…Nicholas, you are so freaking clever. Ha-ha.
