Review: This book sounded so good when I read the blurb and it most certainly would have been if there had been less sex and more story.

Roman lost Brodi many years earlier. Brodi is finally reincarnated in another body but sustains a life-threatening injury but Roman won’t change him due to a promise. He gets Alexi to do it and as result Brodi and Alexi form a sexual bond.

I really felt bad for Roman. As it seemed Brodi was taken from him once only for him to get him back and have to share him with another.

It was an o.k. read with a lot of hot sex.

Review: Each book in the Gillham Pack collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Demi was a Steduna demon. Basically his powers were for plants which made his job perfect. He loved to garden, that is until his ex-boyfriend started causing trouble. After the last time, he had decided it was time to leave. His best friend Noah was the perfect one to help him. He had not expected to find his sexy mate there.

Reed had been one of those that had been captured and experimented on. He was having nightmares and jumped at the slightest noise. He was always having mood swings, so he feared his mate would run after he found out. These two are perfect for each other and damn they are hot. Now all they have to do is to get the damn ex to leave them alone.

I love the way this author can put together a book that not only fascinates you but draws you in. I had a blast reading this and look forward to reading more by Catherine. The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down. To me there is nothing better than a good romance, but when it is a paranormal then it hits higher marks to me.

I can honestly tell you that this is going to be one of those types of series that you can’t put down and have to read more than once. It is the perfect story for me and gave me all that I needed. I love the way all the feelings they felt was involved in this story. I had a blast reading it and I can’t wait to read the next story. When Catherine puts out a book I am usually there to eat them up. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.

Review: Kayleigh Sky is a new author for me and I was a bit leery of reading it. I am never sure of what the story is going to turn out to be like, but I have to tell you that this was a blast to read. Although if you do not like violence or rape then you might not want to read this. I should say that it has a reference to rape, not actual rape to it.

This story has a twist that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The characters were well-developed and had a lot of depth to them that has you falling in love with them. Their world was also well-developed and pulls you in. I loved the tone to this story and was fascinated with how well the story turned out. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. I was captivated by the whole thing.

A vaccine gave a miracle and created something more deadly to the humans. People were dying all over and panic was setting in. Brey had been convicted of a crime but was now set free to live his life in this new world. He just wanted to find his family. Then a cruel man gets his hands on him and plans on selling him.

Thanks to the man who had arrested him some time ago, he finds a new way of life.

Hank was the one that arrested Brey and now he was the one to save him. He was a cop in this new world as well as the past. He had been a straight man with a family, and then the virus killed them all. Now he needs to deal with the fact that he is attracted to Brey.

There are so many changes that they have to figure out, and the changes coming their way. Brey is the one that pulls me more and I fear that he will be hurt once more. I had so much fun reading this story and the fact that it was by a new author, for me that is, was a major hit.

I can’t wait to see what other stories this amazing author has out.

I would definitely recommend this book.

Review: Fai is a new author for me so I was a bit leery of reading it. I wasn’t sure what to expect, however I did find myself enjoying it. Although I have to tell you that I wanted to throw it during parts of it.

The first thing I want to say is that Fox’s mother is a major bitch. She gives the wicked mother a kick in the ass, because this woman was top dog. Fox on the other hands was a dream to read about or should I say I thought he was. Now Fox is straight as an arrow. That is until he meets Tommie.

He was dating Audrey and was happy with her. Audrey however is a strange duck. I mean really no sex is a bit strange. Then there is the crying, which is why I can’t stand females in a story. Although this one was a bit off. Fox however is a bit odd with her. I mean controlling, demanding and acts like a bit of a douche to her.

Then the truth comes out and it explains why Audrey never wanted sex with Fox. Audrey is in fact Tommie. Fox is in fact more of an ass to Tommie then he was when he thought Tommie was Audrey.

Let’s just say you really have to read this book. I wasn’t sure at first if I was going to end up liking this story or not. Although they have trouble communicating and Fox is an ass, these two find the perfect ending for each other. I ended up enjoying this book a lot more than I thought I would.

I would definitely recommend it.

Sawyer, the sole remaining bear shifter, has his hands full trying to keep in line several different species of shifters his protection. When he learns about some new shifters in his territory without permission he goes to see why they are there.

He meets bear shifter Dillon, fox shifter Brad, wolf shifters Kevin and Jerry who are all best friends and own the Bear Claw a bar. I really liked how Sawyer tried his best to listen to everyone’s complaints and resolve them peacefully. Brian was a pain who needed dealing with to stop the unrest he was trying to stir up.
Rudy the leader of the wolves at times seemed cowed by Brian which was not good in my opinion.

There are a lot of characters introduced in the book. Though I really the “story” of the book I felt there was way more se in it than there needed to be. It seemed only a little story and the rest sex which I did not like as I only read one sex scenes and skip the rest. So I was annoyed at how many sex scenes there were.

I was concerned about the way Sawyer used sex to keep the others in line to a point. What would happen if the person he had to deal with under his protection was 100% straight? Would he force them to have sex with him?

Great story but too heavy on the sex for my taste.

Lisa’s Review:  ♥♥♥ 3 Hearts

I have read a few stories from Eden in the past and have noticed a lot of them have some pretty good story lines but most are way to sexual for me. Not that I don’t like a lot of sex but when it involves more than 2 or three men who love each other, then I lose interest real fast.

This story is pretty much like a porn to me. A high percentage was sex and the rest was the story itself. In this story it has a level of hierarchy to it. Multiple partners engaging in quite a bit of sex and a bear that at first wants to run them out-of-town. Another group that just wants to get rid of them period. It had a serious tone to it but there is quite a bit of humor in it also. If you love menage’s between shifters and a story that is heavy on sex than you will definitely like this story.

I based my rating on the fact that it does have an interesting story to tell. It gives a new look into shifters and their world that will have you drooling by the time you finish it. It is told in a different type of tone and if you are into stories like this then it will definitely intrigue you and keep you entertained. However for me I am more for the story, plot and characters. I love sex like many readers are however when a story is more sex then actual story I lose interest real fast.

Dillion is a bear shifter who had been kicked out because not only did he not follow the no sex rule, but he was also gay. His alpha had been a cruel one and banned him from his sleuth. He had left and made a little family of his own. There were four of them all different types of shifters. They ran their bar and had fun at all times. They were also very sexual together and apart. Even though the Elk’s wanted them gone times were going good for them. Then in walked one hell of a sexy shifter and Dillion was fascinated. Sawyer was another bear.

Sawyer is alpha all the way and when he heard of four shifters in his territory his goal was to run them out. That is until he see’s them and boy was it going to get frisky. Sawyer’s domination of his group leads is not the best at times, he is getting stressed by all of it. However he looks forward to sharing it with Dillion.

Now I am sure that many will love this book, but for me it was more sex than anything. It didn’t capture my attention like it should. I love a good book that has a good plot, a lot of action and suspense, a bit of mystery and a touch of danger. The plot is simple and engaging but not enough to keep my attention. Although if you like variety of partners, lots of sex, shifter hierarchy, a lot of king then this will be for you.

It is a good story, but not for me.

Review: Jason Stern’s life went from comfortable and full to complicated and barren with just two words… I’m gay. His loving and devoted family cut him off with one wave of his father’s hand.

Determined to finish college but now homeless, Jason continues classes and checks in at a local shelter. Thankfully, a friend from college sees Jason in line at the shelter and takes him to dinner, then offers him a room at his place. From then on Jason has a new family, they may not be blood, but they accept Jason as he is and don’t condemn him for being who he is.

A few years later Jason is now running the shelter that is a safe haven for LGBT youth. Life is pretty grand, if Jason weren’t extremely attracted to the newest volunteer, Quinn Fitzpatrick… a priest in training that is on a hiatus while he figures out if the clergy is the life he wants to lead.

Quinn Fitzpatrick has always struggled with his attraction to the same-sex. His religious upbringing coupled with his mother’s disdain for that type of lifestyle have caused Quinn to try to be something, someone who he is not.

On a hiatus from his training, Quinn is finding it harder and harder to lie to himself about who he is. His attraction to Jason doesn’t help matters any. Jason is an amazing guy though, as much as he wants something more with Quinn, he keeps those thoughts and feelings close to the heart and does his best to just be Quinn’s friend. This time it’s not two little words that change Jason’s life, its one little thing… a kiss.

It took me a few chapters to get into this story as the first three books were about a different couple. I assumed book 4 would continue their story. But once I got to know Jason I was very interested in where his story would go.

I also spent about half the book holding my breath, waiting for the bottom to fall out. I must say, I’m happy that I kept reading with both those struggles because this was such a great story, quite possibly better than the original trilogy.

I loved Jason! His character, his personality, his inner monologue as he navigated his constantly changing relationship with Quinn. The fear of losing Quinn and then having to accept that he just might. It was heartbreaking.

And if you think you’ll dislike Quinn because of all that, you won’t. Quinn’s struggle with his sexuality and what is expected of him is very real, very well written and will cause you to be torn as well. As a reader I was so drawn into both characters reality and torn on how I wanted the story to go.

Slow to start but so well written, the situations had reality and depth and the characters were well-developed and flawed, which made them that much more real for me.

It’s an emotional, smexy, intriguing story, and I highly recommend the read. If you haven’t read the first 3 books you can still read this one, it is a stand-alone story in itself.

Review: I have read a few books by this author and I can honestly say DC has a great imagination and can give you a pretty fantastic story. However this one started out great until you get to the part where the guys are married. I am sorry cheating is downside for me.

Garrett was married but likes his brother-in-law, whereas Aaron is married to his wife’s sister. They hook up and things get even wilder. Until the truth comes out.

I can’t even give you a real review without giving things away. However for me as soon as the wives came into the picture I was done.

So I was quite disappointed in this story, but it won’t stop me from seeing what other stories this author has coming out.

Review: I have always loved reading a good paranormal romance especially when the main characters are men. There is just something about the different world they come from even if they are technically just living in the boonies away from the humans. I have not come across that many where it involved dragon shifters so when I come across them I am jumping for joy. This author is new to me and I was quite fascinated with the world they gave me.

Now Jason was born into a family that were total asshats. His sire is a judgmental prick who doesn’t like other types of shifters. His dam is a meek little twit that doesn’t stand up for her children. The only brother who is decent is Jacob. The others are total asses although Jared is slowly changing his tune. Jason knows he has a mate, but he has been running from him. He was told the only way to be was meek and follow all orders. However that was not the way he wanted. Michel has other ideas.

Michel has been searching for his mate for some time, only he had no idea why he couldn’t find him. That is until he walks into a diner and spots him. He has to find a way to get around Jason’s fears to help he realize that their mating was going to happen.

Now I realize that this author is new but there were some issues that should have been caught right off the bat. Sentences or words used that either didn’t make sense or were in the wrong spot. Also way too many POVs put into their story.

Jason definitely comes off weak and the fact that he ran from his mate for way to long, shows that he needs to be smacked upside the head a few times. Jason deserves to get his ass kicked by his mate that is for sure, but Michel is not that type of mate.

Other than those issues I had a lot of fun reading it and can’t wait to get the next book. It has a serious tone to it but there is a bit of humor that makes it even better. I also loved Michel’s supportive behavior and protective behavior with Jason. I do love a good mating.

I enjoyed reading this and would recommend it.

Review: Each book in the Watchers collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Caitlin Ricci and A.J. Marcus are a great team and can give you some pretty amazing stories to read. Although this one comes off a bit rushed in my opinion. It is way too short to give you anything more than just a taste of something that would have been perfect. It is a pretty good story and I did enjoy reading it. However it was lacking something major to really love it.

I look forward to seeing what the next story will be like.

Pitney is a shy young man who self-esteem is very low. His one relationship, which wasn’t a real relationship, left him a bit scared. So when Rafe saves him from his ex he is blown away. He had been staring at this gorgeous man since he started coming to the restaurant. Not only that but it looks like Rafe is way interested in him. So things are about to heat up.

This is the first story by Liza that I have read and I have to tell you that I will be reading more of her stories. There is just something about them that calls to you and has you spell bound. Each man has issues it seems with their sexuality but together they are determined to be together.

This is a short and very sweet little love story that I had a lot of fun reading. I would love to hear more about them in the future. The story line was perfect and the characters were well written and fully developed.

This was a blast and I would definitely recommend it.

Review: Each book in the Paranormal Dentistry for the Fanged and Friendly collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

I don’t think I have laughed so much from reading a story as I do with these books. Winslow and Sparks love to cause trouble in their own little ways. Winslow has been keeping secrets that involve a sexy Nile Croc named Teegan. Teegan is just as infatuated with the little chipmunk. Gets more interesting when Winslow’s family comes in. Things are going to get even better now.

This is one of my favorite short stories, although I do wish it was longer. I can’t wait to read Spark’s story. The poor residents of their sweet town is about to even go crazier. There is so much humor in it that you will laugh your ass off. Jackie always does have a way with telling a story. She gives you a world that you can lose yourself into.

I had so much fun reading this and look forward to the next story.

Review: A sweet romance between two best friends Jack and Raz one of which is straight.

I really liked how these two seemed well matched though I would have preferred more to the story.

It was a little weird reading how Jack sees Raz dancing with someone else and realizes he could lose Raz.

Sweet and cute story.

Review: Detective Kurt O’Donnell is having a very bad week. First rainbowawards_hon_mention3he and his partner are blown up on their way to a scene, then Kurt wakes up in the hospital with the details of the event blurring in his mind. Out of the hospital and trying to heal both mentally and physically, Kurt attends his former partner’s funeral only to find out that after 3 years working side by side almost daily, putting his life in the hands of his partner, he didn’t know the man at all.

Davy spent 10 years under the thumb of a controlling lover. He wasn’t abusive per say, but he kept Davy hidden away all but ashamed to admit his sexuality, going as far as to urge Davy to cut all his friends out of his life. Still, Davy loved the man and mourns the loss when he is killed on the job. What’s odd and unnerving is when his dead lover’s partner on the force starts showing up unannounced with groceries, dinner and movies.

The two grow closer and more comfortable with each other with each passing day, both of them almost ashamed that they actually look forward to spending time together watching hockey games, eating dinner and drinking a few beers. When Kurt starts to explore the idea that his arrow may not be so straight, Davy pulls away and cuts off all contact. That is until Kurt is hurt during a drug bust and Davy rushes to his side, but is it too little too late?

This story was so engrossing that I didn’t even mind the angst. You really get to see Kurt and Davy meet, become friends, grow closer and slowly, excruciatingly almost, fall for each other. The elephant in the room, Kurt’s dead partner, Davy’s dead lover, threatens to suffocate the slow burning flame growing between them though.

I really felt like I was there, riding shotgun with these two, the depth of storytelling and engaging the reader with the plot and twists was that good. Tristan James narration only added to the appeal of the story. He is multi-vocal and holds an army of tones and accents in his arsenal. My favorite from him is always the Irish accent, it’s so perfect and he also has the ability to change each character, even if only a fraction, so you always know whose head you are in at the time.

If you like stories with action, suspense, intrigue and slow building love, then this is a must listen!

Review: What would you do if you knew your time here was about to expire? Jessie knows he won’t beat the cancer, so with his son Mike’s help.

He sets out to make sure the things he cares about most will be taken care of once he’s gone. He wants to make sure the diner is taken care of so he leaves it to Tanner, Mike’s best friend, and somewhat of an adopted son to Jessie. Making sure that his husband Steve doesn’t fade away to depression once he’s gone, well Tanner is key to that as well.

This is a super short story so the review will be as well. Let me just say if the fact that Cardeno C penned the story isn’t enough to make this one an auto buy, then the fact that Paul Morey narrates should make it a no brainer. Need more convincing?

Okay then. The story almost seems like insta-love in the beginning, but as the story unfolds you learn it is anything but. The feelings are mutual and a long time coming. Morey really translates each character from paper to audio well, I especially like the way he totally immerses himself into not just conveying the characters, but conveying the emotions.

Definitely a must listen, as I said it’s super short, super sexy and well worth the couple of hours to give it a listen.

Review: So I feel the need to restate my feelings from the first book in Mountain Spirit Mysteries series, Eagle’s Blood. Everything about the feel and setting of the book carry over to this one:

I loved this book – obviously since I gave it a 5/5 rating. The big winner for me is that this feels just so completely real in every way that I couldn’t help but enjoy it. The plot then did the rest of the work and I feel in love with the plot and the characters just so damn easily.

If you’re looking for romance, I feel like I keep reminding people about this, but this is a DSP Publication book, the branch of Dreamspinner Press where the romance is not strictly the main plot of the book. So in saying that, there is romance and quite a sweet and lovely one at that, but the book is about more than just the romance.

You should probably read book 1 before getting into Grizzly Discovery, although I think you could get away with not doing so. We pick up with our heroes, Landon and Brock, who are now a fully fledged couple. They are now living together and they are ready to come out with the relationship to the world at large.

The romance between these guys is still sweet and understated, but they are totally suited to each other. I really have to repeat myself again, I just love how realistic and relatable their relationship is.

Clearly, from the title we’ve shifted from eagles to the illegal poaching of bears. This is another racy plot of the wildlife and law enforcement officers of the local area out to catch the people who are poaching the local bear population in a town that is so very close to the wilds to begin with.

Honestly, the plot is very similar to the first but with some key alterations, including the bears, so that you don’t feel like you’re reading the same book for a second time. I binged read both books in the same day and it didn’t feel like the same book twice to me.

I think one of the key components to this book is that we are given the chance to explore the local woods a little more and we the minor characters are given a bit more room to actually develop in this one.

A cute and charming side note is that we get to see more of the eagle chick, Frigga, from the book. The whole falconry aspect of the series is absolutely fascinating and something I would love to see more of in this setting.

I love the remote setting of these books. The descriptions of rugged scenery highlight the plight of the stopping the poaching. I don’t know, maybe it is in the ecologist in me, but I really did love this aspect. They aren’t straight out weird wildlife warriors. Instead, these are guys that care about the environment and ecosystem.

Though I must admit that this business of being a wildlife officer/park ranger seems pretty damn dangerous and not just from the four-legged and furry creatures – the upright bipedal animal seems to be the worst of all.

Now I can’t wait for Book 3: Moose Fever to come out!

Review: This is a short story strictly for those who have been reading, have read or will read Shae Connor’s series, Sons.

This is a nice, quick holiday story that ties together the loose ends (imagined or real) from the 3 books and the 2 couples and trio which were the MCs of the stories. Evan and Riley’s story was in book 1, Mikey, Cory and Jimmy’s story was book 2 and Shaun and Con’s story finished off the series in book 3.

It’s not entirely vital to read but it’s just a nice way to ensure everyone’s HEA and end a wonderful series.

Review: First I want to say I love this cover. It is simple but drew me to the book. It has a powerful impact.

Brett is a freshman in college. He doesn’t have a good relationship with his father and his mother passed away when he was young. He craves affection and attention. Needing to ge his math up to speed ad to not let his father down, Brett hires a tutor. Jeremy is dark, brooding, mysterious and sexy. He is also good at knowing what his students need as he meets up and checks out all his students. His friend Sam hints at there being something wrong with Jeremy but Brett doesn’t believe it. Not until he experiences it in spades.

I absolutely loved this story. I loved all the characters…Jeremy included. Sam and Brett are on my favorite couples list for this year. I adored their dynamics, the way they fit, their different personalities.

I am also putting this book on my favorite list as well. I loved the coming of age feel, the new adult experience as Brett learns some painful lessons and finds love and things out about his father. There are a couple of stories going on here, Brett’s feelings for his father and relationship, the issues with Jeremy and his relationship with Sam. There are a lot of lessons we can all learn.

If you like new adult gay romance, rich men that don’t show it, mysterious, dark protagonists, suspense, sexy gingers and, of course, some hot man-sex you will love this nook.

I’m highly recommending it to all m/m romantic suspense lovers.

Review: Steven is a best-selling author going through a third divorce and stuck in a writing slump. His publisher is breathing down his neck making it harder to write. His daughter Liza suggests he goes to a writing camp in the Catskills to get his creative juices flowing. That’s not all that begins flowing. Declan is a very artistic, unique individual that captures Steven’s interest ad becomes his muse.

I was looking for a fresh, romantic story and this one was perfect. I fell in love with Declan from the moment he bound onto Steven’s porch. He is a very fresh unique character. The descriptions were spot on. I also liked the plot of the story though it’s a predictable sweet romance. I love the older man/ younger man trope and have a soft spot for gay-for-you stories.

If you like gay-for-you, May/December, sweet romance with some moderate man-sex this is a must read.

Review: OMFG, did I love this book!!! I adored it, it was the perfect mix of kinky and sensual and hot! I admit I have a weakness when it comes to MM books… geeky guys who have a kinky, sexy side in the bedroom, musicians- especially rock stars (aspiring rock stars fall under this category as well) and rock-stars and geeks in the bedroom…together…having hot, kinky, passionate sex…where fishnet stockings might and might not be involved.

William is a music prodigy, a geek who dresses the part and who’s wicked talented when it comes to any types of instruments that happen to fall in his hands. He’s very shy, uncomfortable with himself and attention from others, and would like nothing more than to make music away from the public eye. But there’s more to William than meets the eye; his true self comes to play only when he’s transformed by make-up, wings, glitter, and heels (not to mention those incredibly wicked fishnet stockings.

Rand’s dream is to become a popular rock band along with his very good friends and band members, even if that means keeping his bisexuality a secret and not giving in to his desire for men. Rand swore off any type of relationship/hook-up with men, and it worked, until he met Will. William is everything Rand doesn’t want, but can’t help but need; Rand senses there’s more to Will than he lets on, and is determined to get to know the real Will because Rand can’t help but be fascinated by him.

Even though Rand and William couldn’t be more different from each other, they are a perfect match, and once Rand decides to give in to his attraction towards Will, he’s supportive, faithful, solid and respectful. I really liked that about Rand, because I’ve come to dread the typical rock-star whore-ish behavior that’s become a standard in most books, so to me, Rand was like a breath of fresh air.

There are quite a few things that come between Rand and William, like political dramas, jealousy, secrets and a manipulative bitch who I hated with a passion. Leah, the blogger and sometime publicist got on my nerves worse than any female character did in a very long time; there was nothing more I wanted than to reach into the book and slap her around. I wanted Rand to tell her to go to hell a lot sooner than he did, maybe even the first time she came on to him, but in the end I appreciated the he did.

This was an amazing book; there was music, friendship, drama, controlling parents, incredibly hot sex (only between Rand and Will, so don’t worry) and love. I loved the characters and how well they were written, and the beautiful HEA made me smile like a fool.

Great start to a series!
