Leta Blake

After giving up on his career as a country singer in Nashville, Christopher Ryder is happy enough performing at the Smoky Mountain Dreams theme park in Tennessee. But while his beloved Gran loves him the way he is, Christopher feels painfully invisible to everyone else. Even when he’s center stage he aches for someone to see the real him.

Bisexual Jesse Birch has no room in his life for dating. Raising two kids and fighting with family after a tragic accident took his children’s mother, he doesn’t want more than an occasional hook-up. Never Love series by Robin Covington Cover Reveal!

Reader Friends –

I am so excited to reveal the covers for my next series. Aren’t they gorgeous?

An edgy romantic suspense set in in Baltimore, MD (one of my favorite cities) this series revolves around a foster family – a thief, a killer, a liar, and a stranger – who are dragged into the fight against a violent threat in their city. This battle will test their family, their futures, and their hard-won personal honor. And in midst of the chaos, they’ll meet the people who will become the reason they fight – for their lives and for the love that makes it all worthwhile.

I can’t even tell you how excited I am to bring this series to you but it gets even better! I’ve partnered with TOGETHER WE RISE, a group dedicated to helping foster kids all over the country. They provide duffle bags to kids in the system (no more carrying around their belongings in garbage bags), bikes for kids who’ve aged out of the system to help them get to jobs and school, and scholarships to help them continue their education. I’m proud to pledge a portion of the net royalties of each book in this series to this amazing group and their support of kids in foster care. You can check them out www.togetherwerise.org.

This series will hit your e-readers in February, May, July, and October 2018 . . . you can add the first book to your Goodreads TBR shelf.

Never Love series!

A Thief. A Killer. A Liar. A Stranger

When it comes to love. . . never say never.

Baltimore, Maryland

Billionaire philanthropist and businessman, George Tarras, was not a man who tolerated excuses of any kind. Not from himself. Not from his employees and not his son. When sixteen-year-old Alek indulged in a little youthful hacking of government websites and theft, George decided to let him fully experience the consequences of his actions: two weeks in a juvenile facility and one year of community service.

Always one to lead by example, George volunteered during this time at the local community center and got to know the three youths who befriended his son: a thief, a grifter, and a killer. In spite of their pasts he saw something special in all of them: hope and a future full of promise.

By the end of that fateful year, George had put into motion the opportunity to change their lives if they dared to take it. A gift—freely given—but carrying responsibility and consequences.

But, what he really gave them was the one thing they all needed the most…a family.

Brothers and a sister—they would do anything to protect each other.

But, danger is coming. Secrets and lies will test their bonds, challenge their courage, and test their definition of family and love.

To win, they will have to resurrect their pasts and revisit demons buried long ago.

To survive, they will have to rely on bonds formed not by blood but by loyalty.

To love, they will have to risk everything.

NEVER LOVE A THIEF
Book One

Stealing is easy. Love is dangerous.

Rescued from the streets at sixteen, former thief, Carmen “Mina” Salazar, is a law-abiding citizen who no longer indulges in her favorite pastime: freeing the wealthy from the burden of their belongings. Now Mina spends her days and nights running St. Nick’s, her bar in the Fell’s Point section of Baltimore. Abandoned by her father for reasons she doesn’t understand, trust doesn’t come easily for Mina. But a sexy, dangerous cop in her bar with a reckless proposition tempts her to take a chance.

The son of a former Baltimore police officer, FBI Special Agent Declan McGregor has spent his entire life trying to outrun the scandal of being the son of a drunk, dirty cop. But years of undercover work and living in the bowels of the dirtiest of organized crime networks has left him with a dead partner and relief he can only find at the bottom of a bottle. The man in the mirror looks a lot like his old man and a failed marriage and crumbling career testify to just how close to the bottom he really is.

Declan wants retribution for the death of his partner and Mina is the key. When her long-lost father turns up in the bed of the head of the mob responsible for the murder, Declan offers Mina the one thing she can’t pass up: the chance to find out why her father left her. All she has to do is what she does best . . . break, enter and steal her way into the inner circle of the syndicate. Danger fuels their intense attraction and soon the lines between revenge and lust are blurred by emotion and tested by betrayal. When lives are in the balance, there is only one question . . . is it ever safe to love a thief?

In Derailed, Stephanie Quinones escapes the heat and her complicated love life by going on a company retreat. Trouble is, it’s a couples’ retreat, and she lied about having a boyfriend. Review: Harry and his brothers have a unique bond. They are always helping thse in trouble find a way out of their situations. I found it admirable that these brothers would take on such a huge role.

Suriel, an angel, wants to be with Harry and vice versa but Suriel needs to make sure Harry is for real. I liked the concept of this story and it’s paranormal aspect. However, I found the whole delivery a little lacking. I was confused a lot throughout as I felt as though I missed something but knowing I did not.

Maybe it was just me, who knows. Never the less I did enjoy reading about Harry, his brothers, Suriel and all the other characters that made this book interesting.

Good read.

Review: Ayo is a shy and sweet boy who has been bullied when one day an accident sets his life on a different path. After the king tells his father he can have anything he wishes he sends his son with the king and his advisor Issa, a tiger and prince, to Azizi.

Unfortunately while there he becomes homesick and as a result insults Issa. He turns into a beast. Demanding answers Issa calmly tells him the the city is cursed. If you hurt anyone in residence you will turn and the only way to turn back is to make amends and mean it.

Ayo learns a valuable lesson to treat others kindly. I mean why would you treat someone as you have been treated if you were bullied? You know how it feels so why make someone else feel like that. Treat others as you would have them do to you. Just because someone hurt you does not make it right for you to do the same to someone else.

Blurb: Cloister Witte is a man with a dark past and a cute dog. He’s happy to talk about the dog all day, but after growing up in the shadow of a missing brother, a deadbeat dad, and a criminal stepfather, he’d rather leave the past back in Montana. These days he’s a K-9 officer in the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and pays a tithe to his ghosts by doing what no one was able to do for his brother—find the missing and bring them home.

He’s good at solving difficult mysteries. The dog is even better.

This time the missing person is a ten-year-old boy who walked into the woods in the middle of the night and didn’t come back. With the antagonistic help of distractingly handsome FBI agent Javi Merlo, it quickly becomes clear that Drew Hartley didn’t run away. He was taken, and the evidence implies he’s not the kidnapper’s first victim. As the search intensifies, old grudges and tragedies are pulled into the light of day. But with each clue they uncover, it looks less and less likely that Drew will be found alive.

Reviewer: Shorty

Review: Special Agent Merlo and K-9 Deputy Cloister Witte are assigned to work together to solve a missing child case. These two have worked together before and are attracted to one another yet at the same time cannot stand each other. Tensions abound as the two work closely with one another.

They decide to put their differences aside and focus on the case. The case and mystery itself is complicated as the missing child is related to Javi’s FBI mentor. Needless to say the higher ups want the case solved quickly but it turns into so much more as previous events are connected.

I have to say I loved how the author did not make this story about a romance and side story about the mystery. It was a great read with two MC’s fighting their attraction for each other while at the same investigating the disappearance. There was mystery, suspense and some very hot scenes between the MC’s.

Fantastic read and highly recommended.

Blurb: Clay McDonald finds the perfect car on Craigslist and is quick to send the seller a text:

Is your penis still for sale?

AutoCorrect strikes again. Damn—he should’ve proofread. How embarrassing.

Luckily Darrell Anderson, a mechanic and the owner of the Prius, is more amused than offended, and the two men agree to meet. When they do, the attraction is instant, and a date is arranged. But a series of mishaps, misunderstandings, and misplaced assumptions sorely test the new relationship.

In a contemporary romantic comedy about the perils of technology and dating in the modern world, a text that went so wrong might just lead to something so right—but only if Clay can refrain from jumping to conclusions and give love the benefit of the doubt..

Reviewer: Shorty

Review: A fabulous story about what can happen when autocorrect strikes. Clay is shopping for a new car when he sees an ad on craigslist for a Prius. The resulting text is embarrassing to say the least but the owner, Darrell, takes it all in stride.

When they meet they realize they’ve seen each other around several times and are attracted to one another. But one misunderstanding threatens that along with some mishaps that deter a talk.

I liked the easy way these two were with one another. The mishaps were funny for the most part and Clay learns to talk about things instead of jumping to conclusions and running. Darrell and Clay were so good together.

Highly recommended.

Review: A retelling of the beginning of the series then an ease into the lives of Otter, Bear and Ty as they grow up into their lives now. Bear finally realizing life does not revolve around him and coming to terms with his life in the here and now.

I loved these characters. They were genuine in their feelings and honest with one another. i enjoyed the way they were with one another throughout the story. I loved the addition of children into the mix as they all strive to make a happy home.

Humorous yet also serious this story takes you on a journey of three men and shows you how they struggle, live and love one another while at the same time come into their own.

It’s a secret he has to keep—from everyone.

But secrecy becomes even harder when a hacker compromises the system TOS uses to track its agents and Theo’s dad goes missing. Theo must find him and stop the hacker, which means leaving the comfort of his computer screen and venturing into a very real and very deadly world.

And if that’s not enough to deal with, all the secrecy is really putting a strain on Theo’s love life.

Review: Theo has his plate full being a student, boyfriend, hockey player and working for a secret agency. The problem is there is never enough time in the day for everything so some things have to put on the back burner like quality time with his boyfriend, Eddie, who has no idea he works for a secret agency.

I liked the explanations as to what Theo was doing throughout the book or I would have been lost. TOS is kinda like other agencies that work for the government but who go in and do things the FBI, CIA, etc can not do. In this case it’s to take down Blackbird.

I really liked that despite the danger Theo wanted to help in any way he could. Though he did not come out unscathed it felt realistic as opposed to the MC always managing to avoid being hurt. The cast of characters throughout added an extra element of suspense and mystery. I especially loved the codenames they were awesome.

I am looking forward to reading more in the series.

Great read.

Review: Jamie is in a bind. His parents spent the rest of his college fund on their divorce, he lost one of his jobs and the rent is due. He meets Guy at a library and they strike up a conversation where Jamie lets him know his woes. Seeing as someone helped him when he was younger he decides to pay it forward.

I liked that Guy was not a creepy guy with an ulterior motive. He seemed genuinely nice and caring. Though I was taken aback by his letting Jamie move in with him despite not knowing him. The age difference was not a problem for me in the least. These two guys seemed to mesh well together.

I also liked they had no sexual interest in one another at first as is the case with so many stories now a days. They got to know one another then slowly progressed to a relationship.

Good read.

Blurb: Agent Poe loves being part of the Agency—an organization devoted to protecting shape-shifters—and he especially loves his mate of only a couple of months, Nordik, the nigh immortal master bear shifter. He has the best of both worlds—the man he loves and the job he loves. But when Nordik reveals he’s ready to rejoin society and accompany Poe on his missions, Poe must take the next step and make them a full partnership.

After the Agency intercepts a message from Arcas, the leader of the Knights of the Dawn—a cult bent on the annihilation of shifters—meant for his followers, their job gets a whole lot harder. The Knights don’t bother keeping their activities hidden anymore, stretching the Agency’s resources thinner than ever.

After a near-fatal mission almost costs Poe his life, Nordik insists on a break for both of them. They visit Poe’s family in Ireland and learn that true danger lies not without, but within. There’s no greater betrayal than that of a loved one.

Review: Each book in The Shifters collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Poe has been apart of the Agency since the beginning it seems. He has fought the darkest of evil to keep all safe from harm. His mate is a master bear shifter by the name of Nordik, a man he loves with all of his heart. A man he wants to protect, but the war to keep the shifters safe is heating up. Now they must combine the Agency and shifters alike to keep all alive.

The problem is Poe is slowly burning out, especially with the latest injury and is forced to go on vacation with his mate. A vacation to see the family back in Ireland. It also leads them right into danger once more, and a deception within the family. It seems Arcas, the leader of the Knights of the Dawn, has stepped up his game and his recruits follow him till the end.

M.D. Grimm’s stories seem more like mystic tales to me. It is a very fascinating world of good versus evil, and so far evil is winning. The characters are fully developed and are quite interesting to hear about. I will have to say to follow the story one must definitely start with the first book. Even with time going past, I still got a bit lost for a moment there. This is one of those stories you would probably want to read back to back.

I first read this author’s work as it so happens with the first book in this series. It has a dark tone to it, but you can find just a hint of humor mixed in. I will admit that this is not a series that is memorable to me though. Not to say I don’t love the story, it is just that I had not remembered it, until I read a bit into it. I can’t say I have a favorite character yet, but the guys do pull you into their world pretty easy. It has some pretty wicked twists and turns to it that will definitely keep your interest.

I enjoyed reading it and can imagine you will also.

Review: Tanks life takes a turn when he is thrust into a secret alien base. Not one who is new to the strange Tank learns that everything he thought he knew was wrong. I liked the story. It has all sorts of twists and turns that delve further into the aliens and what they are up to.

The aliens themselves are not that different from humans. You have your good ones and bad ones. The slave ships were horrifying for the humans they had captured. These things were mentioned but not in deep detail.

Overall I found the characters in the story complex at times yet intriguing. They all added to the story in some way or another. The biggest shock was about Tank himself. But, I won’t spoil what all happens for the readers. Needless to say it was an adventurous, action packed, and mysterious story that captures your imagination and attention from the start.

Good read.

Serving as a bodyguard and chaperone, Sūnder accompanies the Chándariān prince to the annual mating festival on Earth, and when the prince is injured, he can’t help but be fascinated by the tongue-tied nurse who attends them at the hospital.

At sixteen years of age, Gabriel St. Baptista came home to discover his parents had taken off into space, leaving him behind to look after himself. Gabe never recovered from the unexpected desertion, and keeps everyone at arm’s length to avoid the pain of being abandoned again. However, after meeting Sūnder, Gabe finds himself unable to resist the bond between them and breaks his carefully crafted rules to spend time with the Chándariāns, regardless of the fact that Sūnder will soon leave. Scared by what he feels for Sūnder, Gabe can only hope his heart won’t be too broken when Sūnder returns to Chándaria.

But deceit and treachery surrounds them both, and when Gabe saves Sūnder’s life, it sets off a chain of events that could either tear Gabe and Sūnder apart… or give them both exactly what they want.

Review: An amazing story of deceit, betrayal and secrets galore. I absolutely loved Gabe and Sūnder. Sūnder’s story is so sad. His mother at birth wants to put him to death for being a male as faeborn males are supposedly dangerous. Gabe for his part never knew his heritage.

This is a carefully woven story with a lot of twists and turns and many factors coming into to play that simply fascinated me. I was intrigued by the many species and their roles throughout.

I absolutely hated Talia, Sūnder’s mother, she seemed like a spoiled brat who gave no thought for anyone’s well being except for her own. The lengths she went to achieve her place were despicable to say the least. I felt so bad for Sūnder for the way she treated him throughout.

I am so looking forward to reading more about the characters already introduced and seeing how they all turn out as well as the dealings with the aftermath of the faeborn males.

Highly recommended.

Review: I haven’t really been a fan of romances that uses sport stars, but I will admit that this sounded pretty good. Once I got to reading it, I could understand why the guy had anger issues. It was more than just hockey, but it shows how one is injured just from a parent’s mean words. In this we see the physical wounds as well. Something that our strong man needs to heal from, physical and emotional wounds from someone who should have loved him.

Viktor has been hurt both physically and emotionally from his family. I should say from his father, a man who should have loved him no matter what. He hides a part of himself and denies it. He takes his anger out not only on the ice, but on the ice it gets him suspended. He needs help and it seems they have found the perfect person to do so.

Bo is what one calls the Fixer, a man sent in to help when P.R. needs to be fixed. He goes in to help those who needs it. From the start he knows that Viktor is a power-keg waiting to go off. But he sees something in him, something that pulls at him. Things heat up, but you will need to read the story to find out more.

I saw and felt the pain that both these men have gone through. Different in ways but similar in others. I can see how it effects them and how much they needed each other. They have so much to go through to get to the other side. It is an amazing story that will pull at your heart strings and have you in tears. It is a very emotional story with a fantastic end.

I have not really been a fan of an author’s I have not heard of and stories that don’t call to me. However I think that this story just changed that for me. Maybe with this author and type of story, but still it is a nice change. I enjoyed reading this story and I do look forward to reading the next book. It also makes me want to go back and read the previous books.

I enjoyed reading this and would definitely recommend this book.
