Wild Trail
(Clean Slate Ranch 01)
by
A.M. Arthur
Welcome to Clean Slate Ranch: home of tight jeans, cowboy boots, and rough trails. For some men, it’s a fantasy come true.
Mack Garrett loves the rolling hills surrounding his Northern California dude ranch. Leading vacationers on horse trails with his two best friends is enough—romance is definitely not in the cards. When a sexy tourist shows up at Clean Slate, he’s as far from Mack’s type as can be. So why is the handsome city slicker so far under his skin in less than a day?
Roughing it in the middle of nowhere isn’t anywhere near Wes Bentley’s idea of fun. Then he lays eyes on the gruffest, hottest papa bear he’s ever seen. But Mack is as hard to pin down as he looks—distant, sharp-tongued, and in desperate need of a shave. Until a campout gone wrong strands both men in the mountains with nothing to do but get to know each other.
Mack intends to keep his closely guarded heart out of Wes’s very talented hands. But for a seven-day cowboy, Wes is packing some long-term possibility. The cold country air can do wonders for bringing bodies together—but it will take more than that to bridge the distance between two men whose lives are worlds apart.

Elemental Love
(Warlocks 01)
by
L.M. Somerton
An untrained warlock is a dangerous man to love.
On his twenty-first birthday, Evrain Brookes discovers he is an elemental warlock. The spell suppressing his talent lifts and he has to get used to a whole new existence. The protection that kept him safe during his childhood is gone, his skills are wild and uncontrolled and there are those that seek to use him for their own gain.
Evrain’s grandmother is a witch, his godfather another warlock. Between them they do their best to keep Evrain on the right path. He learns that in order to gain control of his formidable powers, he will need to ‘channel’ through a life partner, a process that happens only with consent and through love. But how will he ever find a man prepared to put up with a Dominant warlock for a boyfriend?
Dominic Castine has no idea that Evrain’s grandmother sees him as a prospective partner for Evrain. He tends her garden and she teaches him about herbs—a trade-off they both enjoy. He is drawn to Evrain’s charismatic presence but doesn’t understand why he wants to drop to his knees and submit to him.
When Agatha is murdered, Evrain and Dominic are thrown together as she manipulates them from beyond the grave. Dominic becomes the pawn in a terrifying game between warlocks whose powers he barely comprehends.
In the end, lives will depend on his courage, his willingness to grant Evrain control and the power of love.
A warlock’s blood gives him life. It can also bring his death.
It’s no wonder Evrain Brookes, newly fledged warlock, is feeling the strain. A coven of power-hungry witches is after his blood. Literally. A psychotic warlock wants him dead. His godfather’s training regime is about as much fun as chewing on nettles and an overweight, scarily perceptive cat has moved into his house.
His boyfriend Dominic yearns for a normal life, or at least a safer one. He accepts his role both as Evrain’s submissive partner and as the conduit through which he channels his gift—but he’s afraid for his lover, and the lengths Evrain’s enemies might go to in order to fulfill their lust for power.
When Evrain falls victim to a plot between the Octis Coven and malevolent warlock Symeon Malus, it’s up to Dominic to rescue him. With the help of the two other North American warlocks, Shadow the cat and an old enemy, Dominic takes steps to get his lover back. There’s a high price to pay and no guarantee that the risks he must take will work out but Evrain is worth going through hell for, even if it costs Dominic his life.

His Taken Omega
(Mountain Shifters 11)
by
L.C. Davis
It is a standalone within the Mountain Shifter universe.
Nicholas wants nothing to do with omegas, and Avery has already signed a contract binding him to another Alpha. Fate has other plans for them both.
As the omega spokesman for the infamous Futurus Initiative, Avery Callahan is a controversial figure who’s used to being envied, occasionally despised and always the center of attention. His kidnapping at the hands of the twisted omega at the helm of the radical anti-Futurus group known as Epsilon shook his perfect world to the core, and Avery’s abnormally conventional parents no longer know what to do with him. In a last-ditch effort to save their son’s reputation—and his engagement to a prestigious politician—the Callahans send him to the small, idyllic pack of Southbend for some much-needed rest and recovery.
When Avery arrives in Southbend, he finds the Meyer household anything but welcoming and he immediately clashes with the rakishly reluctant head of the household. Nicholas might be a brilliant lawyer with good looks and charm in abundance, but he makes no secret of the fact that Avery is persona non-grata in his pack. How is Avery supposed to heal his own wounds when an Alpha who looks at every omega with disdain makes him question everything, including his participation in the breeding program he’s devoted his life to promoting?
~
Nicholas has it all on the surface—rising-star status as an attorney with his own practice, a sizable inheritance and the option of going home with any omega he chooses at the end of the night—but beneath the mask of his status, he hides a secret that makes him feel unworthy of the title of Alpha. Past abuse has left him with a deep-seated revulsion towards omegas, the very class of shifter he’s supposed to crave. He uses work and meaningless flings with other Alphas and betas to distract himself from the family life he
doesn’t believe he deserves, but in the wake of his estranged father’s death, Nicholas is called home to take on a role he never wanted.
Forced to give up his high-profile career and take the reins of his family’s pack, Nicholas finds himself wholly unprepared to fill the shoes of the man he hated. Because fate isn’t cruel enough, the Spirits choose this moment to send him his destined mate—a charming yet infuriatingly stubborn omega he can never love or even claim. At least, that’s what he thinks until he realizes that the very traits that repel him from other omegas draw him to Avery in a way he finds as bewildering as it is intoxicating.

D.J. Jamison
Winter Blom: Lane Cross works construction to pay the bills, and makes metal art to … also pay the bills. As a single dad, the enjoyment of his art has taken a backseat to making ends meet. And his love life has taken a back seat to caring for his son, especially when Zach, age 6, sabotages every babysitting attempt Lane makes. Then Lane meets news intern Andy Blom. The man’s Swedish name meaning bloom is perfect for him: Andy is refreshingly sweet and vibrant. But when Lane moves too fast, will he scare away the surprisingly innocent young man – or will Andy’s journalistic ethics end them before they ever begin?
Chance for Christmas: Chance Rasmussen returns to Ashe, Kansas, eight years after his high school crush humiliated him with a sext that went viral. He’s low on holiday spirit with his personal ghost of Christmas past haunting him, but when his BFF asks him to attend a party as her fake date, he reluctantly agrees. The last person he expects to see there is Joe Stewart, the compassionate prosecutor he hero-worshipped during the lowest point of his life. The spark of attraction is still there, but Chance isn’t planning to stay in Ashe past the holidays and the specter of his past still looms large between them. Can they find a way to build a future together or will Joe only have Chance for Christmas?
Yours For The Holiday: Remy Wells is in no mood to share a room with his brother’s best friend during a holiday stay. Jason Hendricks has always treated him like a little brother to tease and taunt, all the more embarrassing because Remy has secretly crushed on the jerk since puberty. But when Jason confides he’s bisexual, Remy realizes the crush he loves to hate could be the perfect rebound.
Two of the books in this set are from the Ashe Sentinel Connections universe, but each romance introduces new characters and can be read on its own.

Corey’s Christmas Bundle
(Atherton Pack 05)
by
Toni Griffin

Even though the world now knows about wolf shifters, their male’s ability to bare young is still a closely guarded secret. Since Corey’s pregnancy is now visible, he’s been stuck at home working on code and waiting for company to drop by. Problem is, though, the human government wants to know where Corey is.
As Christmas and Corey’s due date draw ever nearer, Ben devises a plan that will not only get Corey out of the house, but allows the wolves of Atherton Pack to give the community some Christmas cheer.
Blurb: Detective Viktor Capri and pixie warrior Baldwin, a Griffion, have spent years partnered up, hunting down threats to the town of Crystal and dancing around their attraction to each other. When the humans of Crystal start showing up murdered around town with two puncture marks in their necks, appearing as if they were attacked by a vampire, Vik and Baldwin know they must find who is responsible before the humans decide they no longer want the paranormals in their town. One heated encounter leaves them both shocked to learn that they are mates, and confused as to how they didn’t know it all this time. When the killer’s true identity is revealed, it will rock the town of Crystal to its core.
Review: This is book nine of the Eternal Flames series, you should read Eternal Flames book one through seven and also Eternal Flames Maddox books one through 4, before reading this book.
This is a fascinating series that keeps one entertained and pretty much on the edge of their seats. The world that these two authors have created for our sexy characters is filled with action, hot sexual heat, excitement and danger. The characters are fully developed and hotter than hell. To me, there is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved.
I also love the way the guys are with each other. You don’t really see dominance between the two, but you can sense it. There is a lot of heat between them and it is never a dull moment.
Viktor and Baldwin have been friends and colleagues for over four years. They were also attracted to each other, to bad the other doesn’t have a clue that they are wanted. Each paranormal has a certain way of figuring out who their mate is, except these two. Baldwin is a Griffion, which was created using multiple parts of different paranormal species. The Griffion do not even know they could have mates. Well I will let you figure out how they find out 😉 .
Someone is out there killing off humans and it leads to some pretty good twists. They don’t have much time to find out who is behind it, before another murder is committed. You are also finding out not everyone is accepting of them, but who is ready to destroy their world. It is quite interesting and I will let you find out on your own.
I absolutely love this book almost as much as I have loved the other’s in this series. I can’t wait to read the next story. They do have a bit of a serious tone to them but there is a bit of humor in them that I love.
Blurb: Though some struggles have ended in victory, ease and contentment are not the fate of the gods of war. Instead they must contemplate the sometimes terrible and frightening nature of their powers—and the effect those powers have on the people they love.
After their campaign in Ummana, the gods of war return to the Valley with their ranks finally complete. Sic is the eighth Emeris to join Renaldo and Canubis in their war against the Good Mother. Even so, they must wait for their powers to manifest, and trials lay ahead.
It is only when a tragedy befalls Aegid, Kalad, and Daran that Sic learns the extent of his abilities as a Luksari. What he achieves will change Daran forever—and set him up for trauma that leaves him doubting his relationship with Aegid and Kalad. After surviving battle, torture, and rape, Daran must affirm his commitment to his lovers and his new status among them through even more blood and violence.
Even though Renaldo and Casto’s relationship has improved, they’re still struggling, which could prove to be more dangerous than they think—because the Good Mother is already plotting her next move.
Review: An engaging story about the struggles of several men. Renaldo, Casto, Canubis, Aeid, Kalad, Daran and Sic must find a way to defeat the good mother character in this book. I was appalled at the treatment Sic suffered through other books. But things are different this time.
Daran suffers through his own hell and afterwards has to deal with the things that happened to him. There are quite a few characters throughout that add an element of surprise by their actions and/or thoughts. Twists and turns are all throughout.
I like this series even though at times I feel overwhelmed by certain events that take place. An interesting addition to the series to say the least.
Blurb: In the sunny playground of Palm Springs, growing up was something confirmed bachelor and bad-boy chef Joel avoided at all costs—until a close friend’s death made him reevaluate his priorities. Ever since, he’s been dedicated to helping his widowed friend Perry get back on his feet by teaching him to cook and providing a shoulder to cry on. But when Perry announces that he’s ready to start dating again and then begins receiving gifts from an anonymous secret Santa, Joel is forced to confront the feelings he’s suppressed for so long.
As Joel struggles with jealousy and guilt amid the holiday season, he must decide if he’s ready to grow up and reach for what he’s always wanted but never thought he could have.
Review: When Dale passed away it left his husband lost. With Joel’s help Perry was getting back to normal. However he also started seeing Joel in a different light. So he decided after two years it was time to start to date again, now all he had to do is to convince the one man he wanted.
This was a very cute story about love and loss, and love again. Friends to lovers type of story. How it felt like Joel was competing for Perry’s heart with a dead man. However you can tell that is not what is going on. I actually found myself smiling and enjoying this story quite a bit. I would recommend it.
Blurb: Hoax animals and a consulting vampire on the prowl—ACO Jason Shen never thought having a cop boyfriend would be this hard.
All Animal Control Officer Jason Shen ever wanted was a quiet life of rescuing lost kittens and helping animals in need. Having a paranormal cop boyfriend guarantees an end to the quiet part. What at first seems like a random encounter with jackalopes in the park might be more than chance and when State Paranormal sends a handsome, charming vampire to consult with the Seventy-Seventh, he finds his relationship with Alex on shaky ground.
Officer Alex Wolf hoped his humaning skills were improving but now he can’t unravel the strange politics at State Paranormal or why Jason’s family seems to hate him. There’s no time to puzzle things out, either. Bizarre animals are loose in the city, Jason’s acting strange—and is the vampire captain from State flirting with him? Wolf’s going to have to keep his head in the game if he’s going to have any chance of putting the pieces together and keeping the city safe from the strange critters terrorizing its streets.
Review: Continuation of Alex and Jason’s story. Strange things start happening then seem to pick up in intensity for the crew. It delves deeper into Alex and Jason’s relationship plus Jason’s insecurities.
The vampire that was mixed in was not what I would call nice to anyone except wolf who he seemed to be interested in. There is a lot of investigating about different situations in which the crew were involved in. I liked the story but at times I felt bogged down with information.
But overall it was a great addition to the series.
Blurb: When your cousin fixes up your sister with a blind date, is it wrong to have sex with him? John Paul ‘JP’ Shepherd found out the answer to that question. It wasn’t intentional. They were drunk and horny.
But…the sex!
When Shane Moore was invited to a wine tasting tour with his coworker, he had a feeling she was matchmaking. Shane was open to anything. But he had no idea he’d end up with his fix-up’s younger brother. But, the sex! Shane was floored.
Now, they had to sneak.
What happened next was an adventure in self-discovery. The fix-up…it may have been a blind date, but, was love blind as well? JP and Shane were about to find out.
Review: Cute story about two straight guys who basically get caught up in matchmaking plan by Annie. Shane and John Paul were great together. I loved the humorous scenes as they gave a sort of comedy relief between the scenes. Annie was a great character and matchmaker. I enjoyed her matchmaking and antics.
John Paul and Shane were hot together. I was cheering them on even at the beginning when they kissed on a dare. This was the start of them questioning whether or not they were straight to begin with.
A lot of drama, comedy and steamy situations that have the right amount of interest. All in all a great story with plenty of heat and comedy for the readers to enjoy.
Blurb: Destiny brought them together even before they were born.
Raiden Shou, a fierce and loving Tah’Narian warrior, has everything he ever wanted. A loving mate, a highly sought-after position as Chief Helmsman of the Unity, and now the possibility of a young in the near future. But destiny never promised life would be easy.
A chance encounter with the Ne Reyn goes horribly wrong, an enemy from the past makes a reappearance, and egos flare out of control. A rejection turns lethal during a trip to Quai to collect mates for the Tah’Narian Volunteer Program. Jealousies threaten to destroy Raiden’s perfect life.
A plot is hatched, and Raiden’s mate, Dayo Kwen, is kidnapped during a mission. Time is running out as estrus looms on the horizon for Dayo. Once it strikes, Dayo knows his body will betray him. He’s alone, scared, and surrounded by enemies. Can help from the most unlikely sources change the course he’s set on? Will Raiden and Dayo overcome the obstacles they face? Only their belief that destiny bound them together can save them.
Review: This is Raiden and Dayo’s story. Jealousy, evil intentions and love are all abound in this addition to the The Harvest Young series. I felt so bad for Dayo. It seemed everyone was eitherjealous and wanted his mate or they wanted revenge for what his mates fathers decisions.
Raiden definitely had his works cut out for him trying to keep his mate safe. Though that was not always possible. I liked the way this couple interacted with one another and talked.
The overall feel to me of this story is that something was missing but I was never quite sure what. Other than that I loved it. It was an awesome read.
