Blurb: Will a reunion between high school friends lead to romance—or regret?

Key West local Blair Fletcher goes from wallflower to star overnight. One day he’s waiting tables, and the next he’s thrust into a different world—as an actor on the new gay teen drama Coconut Cove. Playing queen-bee Ryder quickly makes him friends—and enemies—but it’s the set carpenter who’s had his heart since they were kids.

Blair always assumed golden god Sander Johansen was completely unattainable… and straight. Now that Sander has returned to their hometown, it seems Blair’s assumptions might have been wrong. As things heat up on set and in the bedroom, Blair has to realize he’s no longer the shy kid who never moved away from home and maybe it’s finally time for him to have the life, and love, he’s always wanted.

Lisa’s Review: 💖💖💖 3 Hearts

When Blair had been in high school he had had the most delicious crush on Sander. The problem was Sander was one of the popular boys with a girl always on his arm. Won’t he be surprised to find out that Sander was in fact gay. Now here Blair was working the main character in a gay drama, and wouldn’t you know it, Sanders is here too. He was the construction part of the business, and oh things are going to heat up.

First off this book was a bit odd to me. You have the story, then you have an announcer giving insight into the show, then back to the story. It spent more time on their acting characters then their actual selves. The story had such a slow pace to it that it felt like I could fall a sleep reading it.

Then there was the ending, it just stopped right at the strangest point. I hate to admit that the story was bland and a bit dry to me. The characters just didn’t seem to have the depth that they should have and like I said above, I saw more of their acting persona then them. Their romance was just no connection what so ever. I was a bit disappointed in it and I can also say that it just wasn’t for me.

Pixie’s Review: 💖💖💖💖 3 1/2 Hearts

This book is part of a series and is best read in order. We re-join the cast of Coconut Cove for a new exciting love story as Blair (Ryder) finds his happily ever after. Blair is still surprised that he has a role as Ryder in Coconut Cove, he’s nothing like his queen bee character and sometimes struggles getting into the role. Plus his secret crush from high school is back in town and he always clams up when Sander is around. Sander is back in Key West because his job fell through, getting a job working on the sets of Coconut Cove is a blessing and he connects with Blair his next door neighbor, and soon love blossoms.

Oh guys Blair is a complete sweetheart and you really don’t want to miss his story. Blair grew up in Key West and still lives with his mom, he was a quiet guy in school and crushed hard on his next door neighbor Sander. Now years later he is one of the stars on Coconut Cove but inside he is still the quiet guy who still crushes on Sander even though he doesn’t see him that often. Meeting up with Sander again he realises he never really knew Sander and the Sander he gets to know now captures his heart.

I really enjoyed this ‘episode’ of Coconut Cove, I loved getting to know more of the characters that I met in Life’s a Beach and getting to know the true person behind Ryder was a pure pleasure. For the first half of this story it’s mainly just Blair and how he’s coping with his role and the new friends he’s made, we don’t actually start to see progress of his friendship with Sander until the second half of the story and then it’s paced nicely so it seems like a nice length of time and not a jump into bed straight away relationship.

We don’t really get to see much of Sander but we do get to know him quite well as he opens himself up to Blair in order to help him with his character Ryder. Now the script to Coconut Cove seems to be moving along quickly and we see scenes at beginning of some chapters, and the other characters… oh I soooo want the stories of sweet Tony and of course bitchy Howie, I can’t wait for the next installment and have my fingers crossed that it will be coming soon.

I recommend this to those who love brilliant serials with a love story in each installment, wonderful characters who are both sweet and sexy, finding love with your high school crush and the beginning of a very happy ending.

Review: Tyri is on his way to a job interview which he desperately needs when a stranger runs into him knocking him to the ground and destroying his glasses. He can not see without them. Devastated and disoriented he allows the stranger to take him to his home. Rathte struck me as a man who could not sit or stand still for any length of time. He was always on the move even when he tasked others to do things he ended up doing them as well.

I found the story cute and entertaining as I watched these two get to know each other. I felt the story would have been better if it were longer so we could get to really know the other characters in the story as well.

Aside from that it was a good read.

Review: Trent has no clue about his past. His parents had abandoned him when he was just a small child. He had not known that they had did it for his protection nor did he have a clue about the magical part of his life. He is close to reaching his twenty-fifth birthday and things are going to happen. When dangerous men show up he thinks it is just a fluke and not real. Then he and another co-worker are sent out to look at some impressive old books, only to find the three there. When another man shows up to protect him well lets just say his mouth is wide open. He is about to enter another world, a world he never knew he was a part of.

Conan had almost lost his to his family. He was from a dark coven of witches and he didn’t want what they wanted. When he got away, with a bit of help from what he suspects is a goddess, he created a realm where he was safe and so were those of the familiars. Which is what Trent is, however he is even more unique than ever. He is a familiar of the five elements and needed a witch that could compliment him. He was that witch but he felt that he would never be given a bond mate due to his past. Boy is he in for a surprise.

This story has a dark tone to it that I usually don’t care for however it worked perfectly for this particular book. It is quite unique in the way it is told and the fact that the familiars are protected and are also hunted down. It caught my attention from the start and I just couldn’t stop reading it. It has quite a bit of action and danger mixed in with some pretty good times. The sex is pretty hot as well. The characters are sweet and bossy. It gave me almost everything I could want in a story and so much more.

I had a blast reading this and can not wait to get my hands on the next book by this author. I can honestly admit that this story will probably be read many times over. I would definitely recommend it.

Review: Zeus will do anything to protect the pack he loves. Threats arise as a mystery to two children’s parents death come to light. Zeus is in full protection mode when he comes across Toren lurking around.

I loved how the characters in others books are always relevant to each book and not forgotten. They each played a role in bringing the story to life. I do not want to give away to much but the plot was intriguing filled to the brim with secrets coming from from several different directions.

Well written and intriguing.

Great read.

Blurb: Life’s a beach… and then you meet the guy of your dreams.

Flynn Wright’s role on the upcoming teen drama Coconut Cove means a fresh start in the land of crystal water, palm trees, and gorgeous people. The move to the beautiful beaches of Key West, Florida—and away from LA and his conniving ex—is just what Flynn needs.

Meeting sexy bartender Seth is the cherry on top of Flynn’s colorful frozen drink, and he can’t wait to take a taste. But Seth isn’t impressed by Flynn’s Hollywood good looks, nor is he interested in the complications of dating an actor, no matter how hot.

Can Flynn dodge his scheming ex and the eager paparazzi while showing Seth that he is more than a pretty package?

Purchase Link: Dreamspinner | Amazon US | Amazon UK

Review: Actor Flynn is looking for a new part after the negotiations for his current role on The Presidio seems to have stalled; he’s also looking for a way to distance himself from the fallout from breaking things off with his roommate… who is also his co-star. Coconut Cove seems like a dream come true, and Flynn throws himself into his new role. When bartender Seth catches his eye Flynn is unsure of his welcome as Seth seems less than impressed. Seth isn’t interested in being in the public eye but Flynn is hard to ignore.

This is a great start to what looks to be a very tantalising series. Flynn made a mistake of getting involved with a co-star and now that the ‘relationship’ has ended his co-star seems to have pulled strings and Flynn now has to look for a new part. Coconut Cove comes at the perfect time and it will also get him out of L.A. and into Key West so he can have a break from the tension. Seth is the bartender who catches Flynn’s eye but Seth has his own past and wants no part of the limelight but when Flynn needs him most Seth has to choose between trying to protect Flynn or allowing Flynn’s ex to manipulate Flynn.

I really enjoyed this story and loved how parts of Coconut Cove came alive at the beginning of some chapters. Both Flynn and Seth are great characters with Flynn being very down to earth and Seth wary of fame, together they are hot and they are also pretty easy going when they are together but there is tension between them as Seth has to decide what he wants. Flynn is great as he deals with his ex, Bennett, and he handles the fall out well.

We are also treated to an interesting array of secondary characters and I am sure you will notice a couple of familiar names… is that a coincidence or are some of our favourite authors moonlighting as film crew????

I recommend this to those who love new beginnings, finding new love, putting the past to rest and a great beginning to an enjoyable series.

Review: After reading and enjoying book 1 in Liv Olteano’s Dreamcatchers series, I was quite looking forward to reading Taka’s story. This is now the second book by Olteano that I’ve read, and while I don’t find the flow of writing engaging for every moment of the book, I still rather enjoyed the story and found myself more than a little invested in the fate of the characters.

Star-Crossed Lover is the second book in Olteano’s Dreamcatchers series, based around the men of Team 32 finding their true loves in between keeping Seattle safe from a spate of demon (spaga) attacks. Spaga are demons that normally drain people’s life force when they sleep, however, things are getting out of hand. The team need to figure out who or what is causing the increase in attacks. What I like about this is that these men aren’t necessarily the usual alpha, strong type of shape-shifter, vampire, etc. They are rather ordinary men who have honed their powers and have been selected to form the teams they are with.

This book continues the mystery of the increasing attacks on humans by spaga, and so unless you’ve read the first book, the finer details of the overarching plot could be extremely confusing.

Star Crossed Lover is the story of Taka, one of the dreamcatchers on Team 32 and one of the longest serving member of the current team. While Taka is passionate about his work, he is world weary and so a dose of romance and a true love is exactly what strong, alpha male needs. Taka has no idea what is coming his way. At a club he encounters, Ginger, who works at the club and, like many romance heroes, he has a sad back story.

Ginger no longer answers to his real name and he has had to build himself up from nothing. At the club where he works Ginger lays eyes on Taka and is instantly taken. He knows Taka is for him, but between the spaga and Taka refusing to entertain the idea of any type of romance, Ginger has his work cut out for him.

If you enjoyed the first book, this is a bit of a change in pace. I do think that this one wasn’t quite as good as the first book. However, I’d say that that was because throughout the book as delve further into the spaga plot line, I found myself more interested in what happens to the characters of the next book which is out in December 2018.

Shorty’s Review: 💖💖💖💖💖 5 Hearts

A fascinating tale about two young men, Tim and Scott, who find out they are more than they thought. Their journey is not without heartache, loss and self discovery as well as ghosts calling out for help and a an evil spirit hellbent on continuing his evil existence and work no matter the cost.

I truly loved everything about the paths that Tim and Scotty found themselves on from a young age. They had to deal with things they were too young to understand at the time. Scotty decides to run from the ghosts and travels to Chicago when he’s a young man. After five years the ghost of Tim’s mother implores him back to help Tim before something bad happens. Upon seeing Tim Scotty knows he never should have left and so begins the journey of discovering who they are and what their purpose is in life to each and others.

I loved all the side characters as they added a better understanding to the story. The serial killer ghost was a nasty piece of work to say the least. I could not believe how long he had been around for doing what he was doing. Tim has some bitter feelings for Scotty which was understandable.

The explanation of what the lock and key were was fascinating. I was swept up in the entire story from start to finish and was sad when it ended as I wanted more. The only thing I wanted to know at the end which was not revealed was what Tim did to the ghost that had been trying to possess him.

Fast paced, edge of your seat, suspenseful and intriguing beginning to a series that I am looking forward to diving into further.

Fantastic read and highly recommended.

Pixie’s Review:  💖💖💖💖💖 5 Hearts

I’ll be honest, there isn’t much that I can add to Shorty’s review.

The Spirit Key is a superbly crafted paranormal story that drags you in and holds on till you get to the last page. Both Scotty and Tim are excellent characters, they have quite a bit to work through to get to on the same page. It’s far from easy and there are one or two scenes that have you gritting your teeth and praying that they can work things out.

Now, Tim proves to be possessed so I am gonna warn you that it is a truly evil spirit and it makes Tim do some things that he would never dream of doing. It is hard to read in those moments and know that the evil spirit gets whats coming to it.

Scotty has a lot to discover about his gifts and how to accept them, and Tim has a lot to overcome. Both men will need to forgive themselves for them to move forward with their relationship, and it’s not easy for either of them.

The background story really is fascinating and as we delve into the responsibility of the Lock and Key we understand just what Scotty and Tim face in the future.

I recommend this to those who adore stories of spirits, forgiveness, finding a new future, returning to the love of your life, and a very interesting ending.

Review: I love reading anything by Andrew Grey and will do so without taking too much notice of the blurb. I love his writing style, I always connect with it and always feel the emotions of the characters that he weaves throughout the prose. One thing is that this series tends to step away from having children so closely related to the MCs that they become almost a main character themselves.

Redeeming the Stepbrother is the second book in Grey’s Tales from St Giles series, and for the most part is based partially of the classic tale of Cinderella. Except that Cinderella character in this title seems to be shared by one of the MCs (the titular stepbrother) and his younger stepsister (who stays firmly as a background character). I love books that are either inspired by or are simply a modern MM retelling of the classic fairytales. Here, Grey only takes elements of the old tale and crafts the lives of people in an idyllic, sleepy town which is dependent on the Bartholomew family porcelain business to hire a great deal of the locals.

Basically, if you like the elements I just described, I know you’ll get a lot of enjoyment out of this book.

The story is the romance between Florian Cinderson and Count Dieter von Hollenbach. Dieter keeps his title a secret for much of the story, and with the last name Cinderson and a stepsister called Ella, it’s clear that Florian is the character to have elements of Cinderella injected into his story.

As I said before, he tends to share the Cinderella story with Ella. Ella is the one that is treated as a slave by her stepmother. Florian misses his deceased stepfather a lot, the man was an important role model for him, but the only reason he sticks around is because his mother and brother can be fairly horrible people. He loves his sister to bits and will do anything to protect her. It’s a complicated story to unpack, but that is why you need to read the book and I won’t make any potentially spoilery comments.

Dieter on the other hand Mr tall, dark, handsome and mysterious. He feels an instant attraction to Florian, the main reason why he was in town anyway. It was because of Florian’s artwork that the Bartholomew porcelain works were honored with a very important prize. Dieter has a complicated family as well, although his are not intrusive like Florian’s. Quite simply, in finding love Dieter begins to find peace with his past as he realizes the depths of what he feels and the importance of Florian in his life. The main hurdle these guys have to deal with in the end is the fact that they live and work in two different countries on two different continents.

I really adore both books in this series so far, I love the fairy tale element. I sincerely hope that there are more Tales from St Giles to come in the future.

Blurb: Coven leader Cain Windgate was aware he had a mate on the farm where members of his coven wanted to relocate. He didn’t know how a mate would fit into his orderly life. And if there was more than one? All he could envision was a future of chaos. When he arrived on the farm to discuss members of his coven desiring to move there, he finally learned their numbers and their identities. There were three of them. Three mates with distinctly different personalities. Not one of them was a vampire, someone who would know that vampires were governed by strict rules, none of which included adding sparkles to anything. There was Chance Harding, a werewolf that had once been human. Then there was Larson Brekken, a brown bear shifter who loved to stir up trouble. And, lastly, there was Pebin Xavier Muldoon, a fairy with a love for all things shiny. Nope, not a vampire among them.

Review: A large mixture of attitudes and quirks. Cain is the leader of his vampires and has a big job of doing it. However he also knows his mates are not there. He has a feeling that they are at the ranch and isn’t really to into it. He just has no clue how to make it work. He is a city vampire and those at the ranch are well not. He just had not expected three of them, and there is not a vampire in the mix.

Chance was a human but is now a werewolf and has one hell of a grumpy attitude towards everyone. Larson is the big ass bear shifter who just loves to drive Chance crazy. Neither are really big on popping out babies, which is probably why they are not doing the dirty right off the bat. Then there is sexy little Pebin. Now Pebin is a fairy who wants to pop out those babies and decorate everything with glitter. Four separate personallities and damn is this going to be funny as hell.

I spent most of my time wanting to smack the alpha’s in the ass and laughing at Pebin. He was the best character of them all. The whole group if a blast to read about, and lets not forget Fred’s crazy ass five year olds and their stealing ways. The only danger of them all. It is a eays read with a nice pace going for it. The only problem with it was that it seems to be missing a certain spark to it. The connection between the four men just doesn’t seem to go smoothly which in some ways works out fine but in others makes it seem like they were pushed to it.

Overall I had a blast reading it and can’t wait to get my hands on the next story. I was real glad to see that none of these guys were given a female mate, but that is just me. I would definitely recommend it.

Review: Two me on the outs find a common goal and come together to stop a crime figure they thought was finally behind them. I loved this story.

Intense emotions and scenes culminate in a suspenseful ride into a dangerous situation where Ronan protects his ex partner from the Dragon before the Dragon or his men can eliminate Tony like his son was.

I do not want to give away too much of the story in this review. I love that despite Tony and Ronan’s estrangement these two work together once again. The Dragon and his men are no joke when the bodies start piling up it gets scary quick.

Intense and fast paced this story will have you on the edge of your seat awaiting the outcome.

Great addition.

Blurb: August 1939. Roger Miller and Jack O’Brien have been close since childhood. By the time they realize there’s more between them than friendship, Jack is leaving their sleepy Iowa town for college. But they console themselves knowing he’ll be home for Christmas. Right?

It is Christmas before they see each other again, but that Christmas comes six years and a world war later. Aged, beaten, and shaken by combat, they’re not the boys they were back then, but their feelings for each other are stronger than ever.

Neither know the words to say everything they’ve carried since that peacetime summer kiss, though. Even as they stand in the same room, there’s a thousand miles between them.

But maybe that’s some distance the little angel in Roger’s rucksack can cross.

Review: Two best friends who just seem to be in tune with each other, leave to join the war. They go in different directions only to find each other down the road once more. A kiss at a pond keeps them remembering each other then things do change. Now many years afterwards they find each other one last time. They are still so much in tune with each other but love shows the way, well with the help of an angel. Roger and Jack are definitely a team that are meant to be together, but in a time where it was dangerous and deadly.

I will be honest that I had not checked this book out until now. I am not a fan of historical’s in any way, so when I read the blurb right before starting to read it, I had a feeling that it was not going to go so well. I do not like the past and for two men it would have been dangerous to be gay. However it was a well written story and with the author being who it is, I knew it would be. It actually kept my attention a little better than most books that are in the past. I really liked the guys and liked the fact that they did not pretend to be anything different then who they were. They never came out but they didn’t marry some female to hide behind. So that was a good sign. Now it catch my attention when I started reading as well which gave me a sense of the fact that this was going to be a good story.

I didn’t care for the parents and could have done with out them. However the story was pretty well developed with beautiful characters. I did like it but it won’t be one of those that will be read more than the first time. I am just afraid that this book just wasn’t my kind of story and didn’t really give me that oh my god spark.

Blurb: “Everybody has their own agenda. Everybody.”

Hunted for the unique blood that runs through his veins, half-angel, half-demon Gabriel Sinclair lives without expectations. On the run from forces on both sides of an ancient conflict, he searches for strength and peace in a world which only seeks to use him.

When Gabriel is forced to stop running, assigned a team—and a mate—he doesn’t want, and reluctantly tasked with a mission, he must overcome obstacles both real and imagined. Otherwise, the world as he knows it, and the mate he’s reluctantly come to care for, may cease to exist.

“I will do as the Creator bids me. Always.”

Evander Ryan is special, and he knows it. The final handcrafted immortal warrior for the light, he is the Creator’s greatest masterpiece. For fifty-eight years, he’s lived his life in black and white, coddled by his Maker, while leading his team to countless victories against their enemies. Those fights were easy. Working with a new, uncooperative mate who sees the world in shades of gray? Less so.

As Evander’s eyes are opened to the existence of light warriors who are not good, dark warriors who are, and the wider world of supernatural beings, he learns nothing is as he thought it was, and his mate isn’t who he thought he was either. Maybe there’s something to be said for not always following the rules. . .

This book is LGBT Urban Fantasy with a romantic subplot. Not recommended for readers under 18.

Review: Gabriel is the kind of guy that pulls no punches in anything he does. This is never truer when his uncles Michael and Barrados, ask him to team up with Evander and his group to track down Gabriel’s father. He is not happy with this at all and it shows. Imagine his surprise when Michael tells him he has to mate with Evander who does not want to mate with him either but will do his duty.

I loved everything about this story except for the parts that seemed a little long winded. The action, suspense and mystery were off the charts. I loved that not all the characters got along at first and it made for some tense moments within the group.

I really like the way the story progressed with the many twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat making me wonder what was going to happen next. I am hoping we learn more about the rest of the crew as the series continues.

Fantastic read.

Blurb: California firefighter Hayden Hurst is starting to realize there’s more to life than fighting fires and drinking with his buddies. He has room in his home and his life for someone special, but no one has stood out among his hookups. And while he’s out at work, admitting he’s gay is very different from showing up at social functions with a man. He’s afraid that’ll be too much for his less-than-accepting “friends.”

Broadway dancer Jez Bouchet hasn’t been mistaken for straight since he was gay-bashed at seventeen. After getting a lucrative job offer in Hollywood, he uproots his life in New York and drives to Los Angeles. His brother, who is Hayden’s best friend, arranges for him to crash at Hayden’s place.

The attraction between Hayden and Jez is unexpected but fiery, and they succumb before they’re even sure they like each other. But Jez hates Hayden’s homophobic friends, and Hayden knows Jez is too flamboyant for him to fly under the radar. Then there’s the complication of Jez’s brother.

Despite those hurdles, they fling themselves into a relationship. But Jez has secrets: a tiny spoiled dog and a determined stalker. If he doesn’t come clean, he might torch their burgeoning relationship before it has a chance to bloom.

Review: Jez decided to move closer to his brother when his crazy ex got crazier. He had had a rough life growing up. His father was one nasty piece of work and his older brother got him away from it all. The problem was it also meant he hadn’t see his brother in quite some time. So the move to California was spur of the moment shock. Then his brother told him he had the best place to stay until he found one for himself. He just hadn’t expected, Hayden.

Hayden wasn’t in the closet so to speak but he kept his mouth shut around some of his so called friends. Letting his best friends little brother stay would not be so bad. Well that is until he caught site of little brother, and damn if his heart didn’t stutter.

It would seem Jez had man secrets although one of the tickled Hayden quite a bit. A pug named Fang was quite adorable. However the stalker was not. I had not had a chance to read to many stories by this author and wasn’t to sure what to expect. In fact I had previously read one that didn’t work with me, so when I started reading this story lets just say my surprise was there. Excitement, danger, and some hot sexy times are just a bit of what you get in this book. I absolutely loved Jez. He was a sweetie with a hard past. I couldn’t put the book down until I finished. I can tell you that this one will be read more than once.

I got a big kick out of this story and shed some tears as well. I loved this book and would definitely recommend it.

Review: I was pleasantly surprised by Operation Toy Rescue it turned out to be a delightful story with a well-balanced love story mixed with a brilliant storyline.

Jules has been exiled from the North Pole to Snow Hope Island for ninety days for his naughty behaviour. After a short time at Snow Hope he begins to get ideas for saving the misfit toys that are banished there, his passion for his new job leads him to a close working relationship with Felix.

Felix loves Snow Hope Island it’s all he’s ever known but he feels sad at all the toys who will never have a child to love them, when Jules challenges him to consider fixing the toys and finding homes for them it gives him hope. Working closely with Jules has him admiring him and it’s not long before he’s hoping for more.

This is a lovey story that warms your heart as Jules and Felix fall in love while rescuing the fate of damaged toys. It’s a gentle love story that has a touch of tension in it, not only is it a race to prepare the toys for Christmas but a figure from Jules past surprises them both.

I thoroughly enjoyed this entertaining story and think it’s a perfect Christmas story. It’s sweet, cute and while there are not huge amounts of passion there are still some sexy times that are just perfect for the relationship and a story of this length.

I recommend this to those who adore cute Christmas stories, for characters discovering love, a brilliant storyline and a very happy ending for all.

Review: I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one. I’ve never read anything by Liv Olteano, but I was more than happy to try a new author and hope that the novel would bring a change of pace to my current TBR pile. After a long line of reading various witch/wizard/mage stories I thought that I would enjoy this change of pace. It looked like a bit of action, in the sense of reading a crime fighting type story, mixed with romance. Judging from the blurb, this seemed like a rather different type of story than I’ve been reading recently.

Lover, Lover is the first book in Olteano’s Dreamcatchers series, based around the men of Team 32 finding their true loves in between keeping Seattle safe from a spate of demon (spaga) attacks.

This story has the action I mentioned just now, yet is also at heart a very sweet romance where two men who had been together once find each other once more. Drew is an expert martial arts fighter, but he has dreamed of doing more and his path led him to being on Team 32. He has been trained and now their leader declares that it is time for Drew’s first assignment. He starts his job with enthusiasm and despite finding out he has to protect his ex, Angelo, Drew will do anything to make sure the man is safe. The reason they broke up comes down to simple stupidity and being brought together again, this time with Angelo knowing the full truth, shows that things weren’t as impossible as the two men had thought they were in the past.

This story is the start of an ongoing mystery – who the hell is letting so many spaga loose in Seattle. It’s a fun story. I think this will appeal not only to paranormal fans, but to those that enjoy romance series that follow military/police/crime fighting teams.
