Blurb: Happily ever after is right under their noses.

Harris has been keeping a big secret for years—his unrequited mate bond with his best friend, Jackson. He’s convinced himself that having Jackson in his life is enough. That, and his work at Camp H.O.W.L., keeps him going.

Things get complicated when Jackson applies for a high-ranking Tribunal job in New York City—far from Camp H.O.W.L. The position requires he relinquish all Pack bonds… and that’s when his wolf decides to choose a mate. Suddenly Jackson sees his best friend in a sizzling new light.

Their chemistry is through the roof, but they’re setting themselves up for broken hearts—and broken bonds—if Jackson can’t figure out a way to balance his career and the love that’s just been waiting for him to take notice.

Review: Hiding in Plain Sight is the third book in Bru Baker’s Camp H.O.W.L series and found myself surprised at the extent to which I enjoyed the first book and had no choice but to read the rest! I recommend reading this series in order, because while they are mostly standalone books, there are a number of references to previous installments that may be tricky for some people. While the previous couples aren’t always so prominent there are probably a few points where things can get difficult.

The series surrounds the lives of the doctors/counselors who work at Camp H.O.W.L as they do the work they love, protecting the young wolflings who are going through their first and very traumatic shift in a summer camp type of setting and somehow finding love while undoubtedly fighting the mating bonds that are forming almost every step of the way. I think, though, the couples fighting the bond only really bothered me in the second book than it did in the first and third because it made less sense to me.

This third book tells the story of tribunal enforcer Jackson and camp councilor Harris. Jackson appeared in the previous book as the stepbrother of one of the MCs, while Harris has been a bit of a stoic, strong figure who supports his colleagues/friends at Camp H.O.W.L. I was seriously excited about this story and I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest. After reading the blurb I could already predict that I would be totally in love with Harris – I already loved him as a secondary character. I also knew that I would love Jackson, but I also knew that I would get invested and frustrated by his hesitation, which in this case was not a bad thing at all.

Harris is a well loved and well-respected counselor. He has lived for years holding a torch to one of his best friends, Jackson. But Jackson has always been ambitious, and Harris had a great fear of losing Jackson if he acted on his feelings. However, Jackson is now in the process of getting a new job in New York, which would take him almost too far away from Harris. Jackson is also deeply attracted to Harris, but having a mate at this point in time is not in his plans and despite nesting when he knows that Harris will be around, he can’t give in. The guys have a chance together when Jackson freelances for another best friend to provide security to the camp and little incidences start to happen. All these little steps have to happen so that these guys have a chance at a HEA.

This is a fun story. It’s sweet but also very sexy, the guys have great chemistry. If your thing is shifters then you’ll enjoy it. If you’ve already started the series and loved it, I can’t see why you wouldn’t want to read Harris’ story.

Stalking Buffalo Bill by j. leigh bailey ~ Audio Review

Blurb: A smitten coyote isn’t the only one stalking Buffalo Bill.

A buffalo walks into a cafe. Sounds like the start of a bad joke, but for coyote shifter Donnie Granger, it’s the beginning of an obsession. Donnie is a little hyperactive and a lot distractible, except when it comes to William. He finally works up the nerve to approach William but is interrupted by a couple of violent humans.

While William – don’t call me Bill – is currently a professor, he once worked undercover against an international weapons-trafficking ring. Before he can settle into obscurity, he must find out who leaked his location and eliminate the thugs. He tries keeping his distance to protect Donnie, but the wily coyote won’t stay away.

It’ll take both Donnie’s skills as a stalker – er, hunter – and William’s super-spy expertise to neutralize the threat so they can discover if an excitable coyote and a placid-until-pissed buffalo have a future together.

Review: Stalking Buffalo Bill is the first book in J Leigh Bailey’s series for Dreamspun Beyond, Shifter U. J Leigh Bailey isn’t an author that isn’t really on my radar, but the blurb caught me. I didn’t know what to expect but I was hopeful. Turns out, it’s a pretty damn good read and the audio was actually quite relaxing to listen to.

Finn Sterling, the narrator, is not unknown to me either, but I feel like its been a while since I heard his narration and I couldn’t remember what he was like. Sterling too was excellent. I liked the voices that he gave the two characters and amongst the action gave the tone something that I can only describe as amusing hijinks.

The story is about cheeky coyote shifter Donnie. He’s hyperactive and pretty like Tigger (I know I’ve made this comparison before for another book, but I love this cute hyper shifters). Donnie is made to feel like he has no direction from his family, since he decided not to work with the rest of his family and go to college … but Donnie dropped out of college and has shifted from job to job until he finds himself settled as a barista in a café near the college. There is one customer that has him intrigued and I suspect it’s Donnie’s coyote that leads him literally chase down (er… stalk) the hot customer who has become quite the mystery.

Donnie’s target is William, a buffalo shifter. He’s recently had a bit of a career change and is using his qualifications to be a professor at the college called Shifter U by all the shapeshifters. It’s one of the only colleges with a large, but secret, population of shifters living nearby and attending the uni. However, William has trouble on his tail who don’t want him to forget his former career. At the same time, the cute barista that he is definitely attracted to is dead set on “protecting” William and is getting under William’s skin in more ways than one. In the end, it’s William that has to protect the funny little coyote.

Overall, this was a completely enjoyable story and the audio was equally as enjoyable. I liked the chemistry between the guys and I like how the sex didn’t over take from the action and danger at the most inappropriate times (my pet hate for romance books). The plot was well balanced between the danger and the romance and was very well paced. I’m very much looking forward to the next books in this series.

Does a bear shift in the woods?

Well, partially. That was what got grizzly shifter Ted Farnsworth into trouble. He wasn’t trying to break the Secrecy Pact. He just wants people to see the real him. So he signs up with the mate-matching service Supernatural Selection — which guarantees marriage to a perfect partner. Not only will Ted never be lonely again, but once his new beaver shifter husband arrives, they’ll build Ted’s dream wilderness retreat together. Win-win.

Quentin Bertrand-Harrington, scion of an incubus dynasty, has abstained from sex since nearly killing his last lover. When his family declares it’s time for him to marry, Quentin decides the only way not to murder his partner is to pick someone who’s already dead. Supernatural Selection finds him the ideal vampire, and Quentin signs the marriage agreement sight unseen.

But a mix-up at Supernatural Selection contracts Quentin with Ted. What’s Ted supposed to do with an art historian who knows more about salad forks than screwdrivers? He doesn’t expect to fall in lust with the dreamy new camp doctor, Drew Welch. Review: I was pretty excited to read Under a Blue Moon. This is the second book in Bru Baker’s Camp H.O.W.L series and found myself surprised at the extent to which I enjoyed the first book. And so after reading the first one I went straight into the second and third books – because binge reading is my vice. I recommend reading this series in order, because while they are mostly standalone books, there are a number of references to previous installments that may be tricky for some people. Well, that’s my opinion anyway, it would probably work ok as a standalone if you’re not going to question too far into the words.

Ok, so that was a pretty simplistic overview but I think that it’s accurate. In Under a Blue Moon we meet two new workers to Camp H.O.W.L, Nick Perry and Drew Welch.

Nick is a counsellor who wants to get out of private practice and kids going through the Turn. He is the replacement counselor for Tate from book 1. And then there is Drew. He is a medical doctor – a human raised by his human mother and wolf stepfather, surrounded by his three wolf step brothers. The guys meet each other on the way to camp and things get hot and heavy – and at this point they don’t even realize that they are travelling to the same place, let alone going to be work colleagues. I don’t want to go into things too much, I don’t want to completely spoil the plot, but Nick finds it hard to reconcile that he has a mate bond with a human, and that being human doesn’t mean that Drew can’t survive life with wolves.

As I said earlier, a common theme in both book 1 and 2 is that at least one of the men in the romantic pair tries his best to ignore the mate bond and push away his prospective mate. I find that trope a little frustrating at time, but in my opinion it worked well, even if I found myself getting annoyed at Nick and wanting to bash a fry pan over his head. Meanwhile, I loved Drew and his family. Drew is a wonderfully relatable character – fearless and smart as a whip.

If you loved the first book or shape shifter romances, you’ll no doubt love this.

Review: For all Theron’s hatred of wolf shifters he becomes enamoured of cute little fox shifter, Angel. Unfortunately for Theron he went about things the wrong way and instead of making Angel trust him and feel safe he sends him running.

My heart went out to Theron but at the same time I felt he deserved it. Angel was indeed naive about how the way the world works. He puts himself in danger a few times because of this.

Fantastic addition to the series and highly recommended.

Review: Each book in the Free Shifters collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in s
sequential order.

I came across this author probably around two years ago and have followed her work since then. Her stories always intrigue me so much that I usually read them more than a dozen times each. In fact with each book that comes out I will go back and read the previous stories before reading the new one. The characters are a surprise and definitely crack me up. Now with this one, it goes in a different direction sort of.

Many years ago, shifters thought that the human’s would accept them into their world. They found out just how wrong they were. Either you were slaughtered or thrown into a cage for life. Many shifters were born in captivity, such as Keating and Emmett. However there were some that managed to escape the life and were called free shifters. Free shifters who tried to rescue all that they could.

Keating is a rare white tiger shifter who was born in captivity. Him and his best friend Emmett, have never really seen the outside world. Now they were rescued and he wanted to experience it all. That included falling in love, to bad his choice was a man who loved another.

Rodrick had been in love with Sully from the beginning, but never knew the feeling was accepted. So he had taken to Keating and fell in love once more. Too bad Sully isn’t to happy. That is until their worlds are about to get interesting, Rodrick wants them to be a threesome couple.

Then the horrible happens and Sully is shot. Well you’re just going to have to read the story if you want more details. Trust me you will want to read it, might just make your day.

Now with this story I had thought that the first book was a bit stiff and figured it was just a new beginning to a series. However this one didn’t seem to smooth out as much as it should have. It was still a good read, but just felt off to me for some reason. Doesn’t mean I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book though. Just going to have to wait and see how they go.

Review: Kiss Me Forever is a book by MJ O’Shea as part of the Dreamspun Beyond line. MJ O’Shea is one of those authors I’m familiar with, I’ve read a handful of books and have at least enjoyed most of them.

The story is about Avery Cook, he’s a college professor and has achieved a lot on the professional front by the time he hits thirty. Avery meets Tyson and Tyson knows that he must have Avery. Tyson is an old world romantic and very lonely. He wants Avery but with danger stalking him he doesn’t want to see Avery harmed and decided (as any male romance hero does) to push him away. The paranormal element of this story is that Avery is human, while Tyson is something. He’s basically immortal, has been around for a number of centuries and has to drink to stay alive/young (essentially a teetotaling version of the philosopher’s stone).

To be perfectly honest, I really struggled with this book.

While I enjoyed it enough to finish the book, I was left feeling, well feeling just meh. The story just didn’t grab me from the start. It’s just that certain aspects of plot felt a little flat and contrived to me (I wasn’t sold on the whole mystery and the villain’s reason for being). Which is weird because this type of book I’m usually all over like white on rice.

All in all, the actual romance is sugary sweet, but the sexual chemistry and tension just wasn’t quite there. Being set in New Orleans is somewhat predictable but I liked the imagery that O’Shea provided with her descriptions. Since I’ve enjoyed MJ O’Shea in the past, ultimately I was left feeling a little disappointed, which I really hate to admit, but hey, this is an honest review.

Review: A feud between dragons and coyotes are at an all time high. Though some do not know the real reasons for the feud. It all comes to light when Jake, a coyote, mates Arthur, a dragon.

The one thing that confused in this story was the only way to know for sure if they are mates it to be bitten by a dragon, then survive the venom in said bite. That blew my mind. What happens if they are not mates will they die from the bite. Seems a bit risky to me.

But aside from that I very much enjoyed the story and reading about the dragons and the coyotes.

Great read.

Review: Seth is a kind and caring young man who helps the homeless anyway he can. Dante is an angel tasked with looking after Seth. There are rules about not falling for those in your care so Dante keeps feelings to himself. Seth witnessed a murder and caught it on his phone.

The man responsible, the doctor, finds out and kills Seth. Seth has decisions to make after his death about what he should do. I found that interesting as most books dealing with the afterlife do not give the character a choice immediately after death so I was intrigued.

The whole story had my attention from start to finish with characters that made the story enjoyable to read. I am looking forward to the addition in the series and seeing what happens next.

Great read.

Review: Each book in the Council Enforcers collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in s
sequential order.

There is nothing better then a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved. They are entertaining and have just the right mix of feelings in them. There is also quite a bit of danger or excitement in it as well. This one caught my attention and kept it all the way to the very end. I love the mixture of characters that this story and the other ones have in it. Will always keep you entertained.

Caleb is a very cute little chinchilla shifter who has been hurt. Him and his friends were together in a lab, and then escaped. They had not known those who were doing the rescuing were the good guys, so they ran. That is until the same rescuers saved their butt’s when they were stealing food from a fae group. He always put a smile on his face and joked around, but it was hiding his true feelings. Feelings that forced their way out in his nightmares. That was why he chose to seep in a tree. A tree that his mate sat under.

Freddy did everything he could to keep his brother not only safe but out of the criminal lifestyle. He just hadn’t expected his little brother to be saving his ass and bringing him back to the Gillham pack. He was an ex drug dealer who was trying to stay on the right path, but his past was coming for him.

I love the way this author puts together a story that not only draws you in but keeps you entertained as well. They have a serious tone to them, but there is a bit of humor floating around. I do get a kick out of the whole thing. I can’t wait to read the next book.

The Blackwood Pack saga continues…

This is part of an on-going series and reading the previous titles is advised. Readers of the past books will enjoy meeting old friends once more as the pack does what it does best ̶ caring for each other.

Slate, one of the last Dire Wolves, has carved out a life which suits him fine—plenty of traveling to exotic locations and an abundance of one night stands to handle his needs. While he’s happy for his brother, who has found his Fated Mate, Slate isn’t interested in finding his—at least not for a long time. That is, until his body betrays him. Seeking his mother’s help—who is an Oracle—Slate pays a visit to the Blackwood Pack where he finds the Fates have once again, messed with his life.

Dakota, the chef for the Blackwood Pack, fell in love with cooking as a young child and ultimately the kitchen became a place of refuge for him. Suffering with a ‘curse’ through much of his childhood, he relied heavily on his mother’s help to deal with it. After the massacre of his mother and siblings by their greedy uncle, Dakota barely survives, but finally forges a life for himself, content to stay home and take care of the people he loves.

A good addition to the series that I enjoyed reading. Tristan is badass yet caring and considerate. I’m highly curious about Andrew and Lance given Lance’ past.

Great read.

Review: Each book in the Free Shifters collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in s
sequential order.

Many years ago, shifters thought that the human’s would accept them into their world. They found out just how wrong they were. Either you were slaughtered or thrown into a cage for life. Many shifters were born in captivity, such as Emmett. However there were some that managed to escape the life and were called free shifters. Free shifters who tried to rescue all that they could.

Emmett had been born in a zoo, but had been taken away from his mother at the age of twelve. He has never known freedom or what the outside world was like. Forced to try to get a female pregnant, he knew his death was soon to come. Then Levin showed up to save him and another.

Levin has been free all his life and made it is life to rescue those who were caged up. He just hadn’t expected to fall for the little guy. However life is not all about understanding, because Emmett was having a hard time adapting to his new life. Then a young shifter decides to go outside where the hunter’s were and got lost. No one will listen, so it is up to Emmett to save the day.

This sounded like a fascinating story but it doesn’t seem to flow as smoothly as the rest of Catherine’s books do. It just seemed a bit off to me, but was still a very fascinating book. I loved the worlds this author creates and the characters rock. It caught my attention and kept it to the end of the story.

Blurb: Levi was one of the most popular men on campus at his little college located in the north Georgia hills. In the three years since his small group of friends left the little mill village called Hell’s Creek to venture out into the ‘real’ world, he’s watched as each of them has grown more carefree and happy. They played football and Frisbee, went to their classes and partied hard on the weekends. And none of the other students ever guessed that a small group of shifters has invaded their human world. Life would have been sweet if not for one thing—the one boy on campus that Levi wants to impress hates his guts. Openly, intensely, and with great malice.

Christian has his reasons for not accepting Levi’s endless invitations, and they all have to do with a terminal illness he’s had since he was a child. When Christian goes camping one weekend with a friend, he’s hoping he can forget his troubles for a while and relax. It’s working fine, until a huge wolf and a black panther come roaring out of the forest and straight at him. Christian faints and when he wakes up, finds that Levi has taken him to his home in Hell’s Creek. The strange inhabitants of the town all believe they can turn into animals. And people are telling him over and over again that he can’t leave, because he’s seen too much. Worst of all, the more time he spends with the gorgeous Levi, the healthier he’s beginning to feel and the more he’s beginning to fall for him. Is there really something in the water like everyone tells him? Or is he just going as crazy as they all are?

Will the secret that Hell’s Creek has been hiding finally be revealed? Christian has to find a way out of town before it’s too late, and before he falls hopelessly and irrevocably in love.

Review: Each book in the Hell’s Creek collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Men and their evil creations have been shown once more. They created small towns, full of poison and kept their people prisoner. You try to leave and you die. If you are different the human religious nutcases kill you. Christian was told when he was younger that he was going to die from a blood disease. It was what let him go to college, to live what was left of his life the way he wanted. He wanted to drink his way out. That is until he see’s Levi. A man who was everything he was not.

Levi saw Christian and wanted him. Levi is a shifter whose town was trying to combat what had been done to him. He had not really believed in fated mates, but Christian was his. Now all he had to do is to show him. I just don’t think the way he did it was the way he intended.

Once I started reading this, book one came right back to me. It caught my attention from the start and kept if all the way to the end. I loved the characters but damn if they are not cranky or quirky. I enjoyed the fact that a wolf and a cat were mated. In fact it made me laugh a bit. It has a serious tone to it but it was even with the other feelings in it.

I had a lot of fun reading this and can guarantee that you will enjoy it. This is one story I would recommend.

Once Upon A Wolf by Rhys Ford ~ Audio Review

A refreshingly new, tender-hearted slow burn from Rhys Ford!

Blurb: Gibson Keller’s days are fairly routine: wake up early, get some work done, drink lots of coffee, and take care of Ellis, his older brother, stuck in wolf form after coming home from the war. It’s a simple life made up of long runs on two legs—or four—and quiet evenings…. Until Ellis chases a handsome man off a cliff and into the frozen waters beside their cabin, changing Gibson’s life forever.

For Zach Thomas, buying an old B&B is a new start. Leaving behind his city life, he longs to find peace and quiet, and hiking the trails behind his property seems safe enough—right up to the moment an enormous black wolf chases him into a lake, nearly drowning him. Discovering werewolves are real astounds him, but not as much as the man who rescues him from the icy water, then walks into Zach’s heart as if he owns it.

Loving a werewolf—loving Gibson with all his secrets—has its challenges, but Zach believes their love is worth fighting for, especially since his heart knows the big bad wolf is really a prince in disguise.

Review: A new series with a new feel by Rhys Ford. I must say I’m really proud of this author for flexing her creative muscle and diversifying her writing style. Too often authors get stuck into a cookie cutter format, due to pressure and demands of their readers. If you’re used to Rhys’ in your face, shock and awe, often crazy violent and bloody, hot and sexy reads, this one will surprise you. Once Upon A Wolf is still packed with action, but of a different kind. The opening chase between a dark wolf and Zach, the conflicts between Gibson, Ellis Zach and an enraged officer, all add drama that we expect from Rhys. But the slow build, the sweetness and the flow of the characters discovering each other is unique to this first novella of her new series. This book is a slow sweet burn, leaving me want for more…. I think it’s a good thing! Though I might have wanted a teenie weenie bit more ravaging, these guys were more patient that I was!

The narrator Derrick McClain, was perfect and refreshingly new also, good variance on the different characters’ voices, good tempo, no complaints at all. I’ll have to look for more narration by Derrick for sure!

The sexual encounters take a while to arrive, which I find refreshing, and are passionate, creating soul deep connections between the characters.

Refreshing, new, another side of Rhys Ford’s writing prowess. I recommend Once Upon A Wolf if you’re in need of some adventurous, loving, slow discovery romance. A tender balm to the chaos of our times.

Blurb: Maximillian “Max” Lipovsky has been Regent of the Atlanta coven for the past six months. His days are full of meetings and paperwork as he does his best to straighten out the mess left during the disastrous reign of Vadim’s brother Ermine. With Vadim now happily living in Cloverleah with his mate Josh, it’s up to Max to keep his friend’s coven happy and safe. Easier said than done. When it is pointed out to him it’d been more than six months since he’d fed from a willing donor, Max decides a night out is exactly what’s needed.

Lyle Roberts is tired of being scared, tiny, and alone. But mostly he’s tired. When a tall, strong man with flashing red eyes stops him getting beaten up in an alley, he thought he might have found a momentary reprieve from his rotten life. Finding out the man was a vampire, something he’d only seen in movies, Lyle decides to take a chance and asks the man to remove his curse. Only, it turns out Lyle isn’t cursed after all – unless you consider having a workaholic mate as a curse.

Lyle’s arrival at the coven seems to have brought out the worst in people. As soon as one threat’s dealt with, another one rears its ugly head. With the Alpha of the Atlanta pack pushing for a meeting, and vampires turning rogue within the coven itself, Max has his hands full. The only problem is, with his hands full, he doesn’t have anything to hold his beloved with. Will Max and Lyle ever find their HEA or will the mating curse strike its cruelest blow of all?

Review: This story can be read as a standalone however I would suggest reading the Cloverleah Pack collection first, as this story is a spinoff of that collection.

Lyle is a small white house cat shifter and has no clue how he was one. He always thought that he had been cursed. His step-father had considered him as an abomination and was going to go to hell. His mother never said a word against the man. He had been kicked out and only survived by food in the garbage or some good stranger giving him scraps. It wasn’t until a vampire found him that he learned the truth. Boy is he in for a shock.

Max has taken over the coven when his friend and leader left after mating a shifter. His damn coven was so far in the dark ages that I am surprised they knew how to write. He wanted to change it but never got around to it. Then finding his beloved in the middle of a cat fight, soon changes his mind.

Action packed, danger filled, idiot’s for coven members, hot sexy times and excitement are just a bit of what you get in this story. It definitely kept my attention from the start and I can guarantee that it will be read more than once. The characters were a blast and lets face it Lyle is my favorite. He is feisty and smarter than you would think at first. There a re a few surprises in this that will have you laughing.

I had a blast reading this and I do hope that there will be more stories involving this coven. It was funny as hell and I can’t wait to get my hands on Lisa Oliver’s next book.

When the son of a prominent British politician, and a fellow fox shifter, goes missing in Prague, Andrew is forced to go out into the field for the first time. It wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the fact he was partnered up with Lane Roberts, leopard shifter, secret agent, and all round serial flirt.

The two men had been butting heads for two years, dancing around each other in a game of Lane’s making. Putting himself in danger, and having to pretend to be married to Lane Roberts would have been bad enough, but the deeper they go the darker their mission seems to get.

Review: Each story in the C.L.A.W. collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This particular series is branched off from the Happily Ever After Mating Agency series. I would suggest reading those books first. Although it can be read as a standalone.

Andrew is one hell of a computer expert and hacker. Thank god he works for the good guys otherwise we would be in big trouble. When a young man goes missing who ever was behind them looking for him, asked for Andrew to help. He is about to get a big surprise in that end. To bad he has to work with the biggest flirt in the world and who got on his nerves

Lane was a big flirt but it got the job done. A super secret spy had to do what he could to get the results he wanted. He just needed to figure out how to get the one man he wants to be his. That is after they save the kid.

Entertaining and very unique type of story. It caught my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me almost everything I could ask for in a story. I will admit that it was missing something to make the story complete but I didn’t really notice it to much. I liked the characters and their story quite a bit.

I had a blast reading this and can’t wait to read the next book. It might even be one of those types that will be read more than once, we will just have to wait and see.

Blurb: Jackson Lewis isn’t a typical werewolf. He isolates himself in a small town outside Spokane and dedicates himself to making his business—Lone Wolf Brewery—a success. If it leaves him little time for romance, he’s okay with that. His soul mate could be out there somewhere, but he isn’t actively looking.

So he’s in for quite the shock when he literally bumps into his soul mate—Leo Gallagher, an adorable, nerdy, vibrant music therapist who’s Jackson’s polar opposite.

But he’s human. And a man.

Jackson is straight—or at least he’s always assumed so. Though he can’t deny his attraction to Leo, it’s a lot for both of them to deal with.

While Jackson and Leo figure out what their future might hold, they face prejudice from both the human and werewolf communities—including a group of fanatics willing to kill to show humans and werewolves don’t belong together..

Review: I wanted to like this story about Leo and Jackson. The tension between them is off the charts. Jackson repeatedly mentions that he’s straight throughout the story. It became annoying after a while as I understood the first time he announced it. I imagine Leo was quite annoyed as well.

But alas Jackson is not as straight as he thought and he and Leo do get closer. But not without complications in between their meetings. There is a lot of back and forth with this book as I struggled to understand what the big deal was and why the character went on and on about it. Jackson should have just walked away rather than making him and Leo uncomfortable.

I was expecting some action but got a lot of over the top drama instead. Lovers of dramatic relationships will love this story. I however did not care for it myself.

O.k. read for me.
