Blurb: Opposites attract on an overseas holiday, but trouble has hitched a ride.

While Bronco’s nightclub is closed for renovations, the owners invite the staff on a trip to Italy.

Bartender Hank needs a roommate, and he’s had his eye on waiter Grant for a while, even if he’s had to keep his distance. But sharing such close proximity means sparks are sure to fly….

Grant has a problem saying no, and it’s led him into some less-than-healthy relationships. While he’s determined not to repeat his mistakes, it’s clear Hank is different.

They’re both willing to take it slow and explore the feelings building between them, but even in a foreign country, their pasts are catching up, and that could hurt more than just their budding romance.

Review: Over and Back is a charming return to the gritty world of Andrew Grey’s Bronco’s Boys series, which is based around the gay nightclub Bronco’s.

This is the fifth book in the series and one that I would highly recommend reading from the beginning to avoid any confusion, particularly when it comes to the characters of the previous books and the goings ons in their lives. It took me a while to remember details and found myself having quick peeks at the previous books so that I satisfied that I had the details right in my head. It’s been quite a while since I read the series (the last book was released in 2015) and I’m afraid although I enjoyed the audio (of book 4 only) more than six months ago, I have dim recollection of the story.

This story is about Bronco’s bartender, Hank, and server, Grant. Both of them have had problems in the love department and have both left some disastrous relationships in recent months. Hank was shattered when his ex-boyfriend left him, he has been fighting his inner demons to overcome a gambling addiction. However, his ex was not entirely sympathetic and a very jealous man, and so mentally Hank is struggling with allowing himself to move on with his life, which has to be the next step in his recovery. On the other hand, Grant’s ex was a Dom who didn’t abuse Grant per se, it was more that he refused to listen to Grant’s needs in and out of the bedroom, his main interest was controlling Grant. Grant struggling with these demons, because he knew that he was not a sub and not into the BDSM lifestyle.

Things come to a head when Bronco’s closes for renovations. A small group of couples (i.e. the four couples of the previous books) are to Italy for a much-needed holiday, which Hank had thought to surprise his ex with a holiday. But when his relationship goes south, his friends decide that Hank should give the spare ticket to someone else, and that person must be Grant. Mostly because the guys like Grant. Not only is he a good worker, he is a generally likable guy who would fit into their group nicely.

This is a mostly fun book, interspersed with a bit of adventure and intrigue. Its light hearted for the most part and was just a lot of fun to read. I just came down from reading two emotionally involved books before this one and Over and Back was the perfect book to help me overcome the leftover emotions. This was a great addition to the world of Bronco’s and now I want to go back and read the previous novels again properly!

Nick is left floundering, unsure which way to turn and who to trust when his past decides to come knocking. Things go from bad to worse when Nick finds the fates haven’t finished with him, and his brother’s best friend, Brody Quilliam, comes to stay.

Brody Quilliam needs a break from his life and the weight of responsibility of his job. So when his best friend, Aaden Riley, moves to the Isle of Man and asks him to visit, Brody decides to take him up on the offer. Only things don’t go as planned when he finds Aaden’s younger brother, Nick, visiting at the same time.

Their love-hate relationship is only the beginning of Brody’s concerns. Events he can’t explain make him think he’s stuck in the twilight zone.

Witches, spells, and misconceptions are only the tip of the iceberg as Brody struggles to come to terms with the unbelievable.

Warning: Some of the content of this book is sexually graphic, with the use of explicit language and adult situations involving two males. It is only intended for mature adults.

This is the sixth book in the series and should be read in order to give the reader the back story of the other characters. The main characters in this book do get a HEA, but there is a storyline threading through the main story that is a cliffhanger and relates to a future series.

Bankers’ Hours by Wade Kelly ~ Audio Review

Blurb: Even though bankers’ hours leave long weekends for romance, cosmic intervention is Grant’s only option when money doesn’t buy happiness and he’s got virginity in spades.
Grant Adams is a 26-year-old bank teller who’s unlucky at love, yet hopelessly hopeful. After years of horrific first dates, he’s convinced he’s saving himself for true love. Surely he has bad taste in men because it couldn’t possibly be his persnickety nature that’s sent them packing.

Tristan Carr has been in a holding pattern since his daughter was born 15 years ago, which suits his workaholic lifestyle just fine. This ex-naval officer turned auto mechanic never wanted any-one interfering with being a weekend dad. For Tristan to rearrange his carefully orchestrated life, a guy will need to be special. Or, in the case of the newest employee at his bank, the guy will need to be adorable, shy, and open to the prospect of forever when it shows up at his win-dow.

Review: Bankers’ Hours is a standalone novel by Wade Kelly and the audio book is narrated by Derrick McClain.

For me Wade Kelly is a completely new author for me, so I had no idea what I was in for in terms of the writing style and the story other than what I read on the blurb. However, Derrick McClain is not a new narrator for me, and I have particularly enjoyed his work narrating contemporary romances. I was not disappointed by the narration of Bankers’ Hours, in fact I think that it probably elevated the story.

This novel is the story of bank teller Grant Adams. The branch that he had been working for had closed and he was one of a handful of employees who have been redeployed to other branches. This means that Grant has made a big move – he’s moved out of the home he shared with his mother and to a completely new town where he has no one. He isn’t out in his new town but that’s only because he doesn’t have anyone to talk to about such things.

At the bank he meets Tristan Carr. He’s a local mechanic. Tall and handsome he is mouth watering and beautiful to Grant, but when Tristan mentions a daughter Grant is disappointed when he comes to conclusion that Tristan is gay. The two see each other around town and this culminates in an invitation of drinks. The thing is Grant doesn’t have the best social skills and he sucks at reading any body language cues from Tristan. The two have a rocky road ahead, fraught with Grant’s nature that seems to be something like anxiety which makes him pick at just about anything and then Tristan has to deal with his teenage daughter and his horrid ex-wife. However, for these guys it isn’t love that’s the problem, it’s getting their lives to align.

On the whole this is a good book with thoroughly enjoyable characters. I will admit to preferring Tristan over Grant. Yeah, Grant has a few odd quirks and is a bit on the clingy and whingy side of things, but I do understand him because I see a lot of myself in Grant. So even though he isn’t my favourite of the two MCs, he is by far the most relatable to me. There isn’t anything too specific that you need to like to get into this book. This is one of those contemporary books that I would recommend to just about anyone.

Wolf shifter Seth Connelly has a deep hatred of hunters. In his mind, they have done nothing but kill his kind for centuries. Review: Each book in the Tribal Bonds collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Seth has met his mate, loved his mate then abandoned by him. It would seem that Seth being a wolf shifter was to much for the big bad hunter. Then when he almost got a friend killed because of his anger, he just wanted to be off the grid. To bad his brother wouldn’t let him. But he had not expected the cute vampire who was bloody to not only be on his step but to be another mate. Not that the ass believed the man, he had no clue what he was in for.

Roman was not only a human but a hunter who hated most paranormals, or so he used to in the past. He was getting over it but to find out that the man he slept with was his mate was a bit of a difficult thing to get over. However he wanted to make up for it. So imagine his surprise to find out about Casey.

Casey was a vampire sent on a mission to deliver a message. He had not expected to get beat up by others nor had he expected to wake up to a mate. Not that the man believed him. Casey was a sweet soul who just wanted his mate. When danger showed up and Casey is placed in danger, guess who shows up to help him.

I am not normally a fan of threesomes but Stormy always has me changing my mind. Out of all the characters I must say that Casey is the one I liked the most. He is just a cutie. However I did understand Seth’s pain as well. These three together is one hot sexy time. Danger, excitement and so much more is what you get with this story. And let me tell you that I had to finish the whole book in one sitting. I can guarantee that this is one of those books that will be read more than once.

I had a blast reading this and can’t wait to read the next one. I would definitely recommend this book and the ones before it.

Review: Sweet story about Ny and Dran. I love these two together. Most of the book focused on them and their relationship amid attacks on the group. It was an emotional story with sweet and tender moments.

I love that other characters showed up in the story as well. The only thing was that I wanted to know more about the feral outbreaks and attacks not to mention why they are happening. I assume all will be revealed in future books.

Great read.

Review: Each Book in the Beneath Aquatica’s Waves collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters I would recommend reading them in sequential order.

John was the captain of the police force and he loved what he did. However his son wanted him to retire and move south to be near them. He just wanted to do what he loved. When a night out with the family leads him to one hell of a sexy man, secrets start to come out. As well as the problems or at least problems for his son. Then he finds out William has a pretty big secret of his own and damn if it is not surprising for John.

There were a few issues with this story that made me drop the rating down a bit. For one it doesn’t flow as well as it should and it ended so abruptly. There could have been so much more added on to make it stand out which it did not do this time around. Also the police captain just didn’t seem to connect as well with his mate, which made it hard for me to connect with him. I do love how this author gives us some pretty unique characters to read about and makes their world stand out. Other than my issues it was still a good read.

I had a blast reading this and can’t wait to get my hands on the next story. I can guarantee that this is one of those stories that will be read many times over. I would definitely recommend this book.

Review: I loved this story of Hunter and Walker. Hunter is forced to become a gargoyle after declining to help an evil warlock Osian. Once a century Hunter is free for ten years. Now six hundred years later Hunter finds himself in Salem. He makes quite a few friends with a variety of paranormals. Upon meeting Walker Hunter finds himself hoping.

This was an amazing story. I loved all the characters, the history and the plans. It’s my favorite in the series so far. The crew from Cold Case Psychic was an added bonus. My heart went out to Hunter for all the things he missed out on while trapped.

Fantastic read.

Review: Each book in the Cedar Falls collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Crow and Tarq has been sniffing around each other for awhile now but mostly spend their time snarling. When a robbery at the casino ends in Crow being badly injured, it looks like nothing is ever going to go their way. It would take a great big power to get Crow to even attempt to try to get better. So he calls in the big guns, you know who I am talking about. Slinky tops, short shorts that show the butt cheeks and high boots while dancing at the top of their lungs is Jesse’s speciality. Tarq is going to make sure Crow gets better or get killed doing it.

I am always glad to see Jesse and the gang getting together. Their stunts always make for a better story. I felt bad for Crow but I am afraid he came off a bit weaker than expected, even after getting shot. There was just something about him that didn’t ring right, but didn’t really take away from the story. I like how Tarq did everything he could to help the one he loved. As always this story was a blast of fun and laughs.

I had a blast reading this and can not wait to get my hands on the next story. I can guarantee that it will be one of those stories that will be read more than once.

Blurb: Mystery. Murder. Men in silk stockings. Hollywood nights are heating up.
Hardboiled Los Angeles PI Cain Noble is hired by wealthy and gorgeous Camille Astor to find her husband and a priceless work of art, both of which have disappeared.

At the nightclub owned by Mr. Astor, Cain encounters the mesmerizing Lily Lavender, who has the body of a goddess and the sultry voice of an angel—but is really a young man named Riley who attracts trouble like a magnet.

What’s a private dick in the vein of LA’s bygone era and a cross-dressing burlesque starlet to do when faced with the hidden decadence and lethal dangers of the Hollywood Hills? They have their work cut out for them because they haven’t even scratched the surface of an elaborate scheme more twisted than anyone could ever have imagined.

Review: This review is going to be a hard for me. In all honesty I wanted to enjoy this story way more than I actually did. Mostly because I love Susan Laine’s writing and she has quite recently become one of my automatic reads. But also, because I liked the look of a dark and gritty and mystery, then add in the fact that the cover model kind of reminds me of Sam Heughan from Outlander.

So just to get this part out of the way: this is for people that enjoy reading a dark, gritty, urban mystery where the city seems to become a wild jungle. It seems like a good metaphor for LA at any rate and makes me think of The Doors song LA Woman.

In the stereotypical way that seems to be the world of a PI in literature, we start with hardened and eternally tired PI Cain Noble. He’s a PI based in LA and the city serves up a constant stream of work for him. When we meet him he gets hired by Camille Astor to find her husband and a work of art. And let’s face it, when priceless art is involved you know that there is going to be some serious shit go down. Astor’s husband, Sheridan, owns a club and that is Cain’s first port of call and despite being gay, Cain finds performer Lilly Lavender strangely alluring. Only to then find out that Lily is in fact a man named Riley who seems to get in trouble at every turn, but more than anything wants to find Sheridan who he considers a friend.

As we make our way through the LA and the story, it feels like this could almost be the stereotypical 1930s-era PI tale where the hero solves the mystery and gets romanced along the way.

I think for me the main problem was that I was unable strongly connect to both the main characters. I liked them both in terms of their personality and they were certainly well developed with a definite spark between them that makes the romance natural. However, for reasons unknown all I can say is that this wasn’t quite my cup of tea.

An unexpected detour sets two men on the path to love and healing.

After being attacked by a drug addict, Dr. Josh Parker fled New York, his career as an ER doctor, and a failed relationship. Determined to start fresh, he takes a job as a concierge doctor to the wealthy older population of sunny Naples, Florida. Nothing to fear there. No trauma. No stress.

It’s a good idea that doesn’t last long. Traveling to his new home, he discovers a car accident and is forced to make a detour to render aid. There he meets sexy paramedic Ian Manolas.

Since Ian returned from the Army, every day has been a struggle to atone for past mistakes. The Glades Free Clinic is his chosen path to redemption. The people Ian helps are a world away from Josh’s wealthy clients though. Addicts, prostitutes, gang members: they all come to Ian’s clinic for help, not judgment. He’ll do almost anything to keep the clinic going, including roping in one reluctant—and hot—ex-ER doctor.

The attraction is immediate, but Josh wants nothing to do with Ian’s clinic. For them to have a future, both men must work together to find a path to love, while helping those who need them most.

As he dives into the world of magical drug rings, demons, witches, and necromancers, Michael also grapples with the complicated past he left behind in Arizona.

A relationship might not be what he wants, but it sparks something in him he didn’t realize he needs—the chance to heal.

Blurb: Firefighter Jason “Jase” Weller and EMT Scott Bronson are living the perfect life. They work together in jobs they love, they live together, and in their downtime, they still can’t get enough of each other. It’s been six amazing years. Then on Christmas Eve, Jase’s former lover Elsa shows up with a six-year-old girl in tow. The strung-out junkie claims Kerry is Jase’s daughter and it’s his turn to care for her, and then she walks out.

Shocked at both the fact that Elsa is now a junkie and that he has a daughter he never knew about, Jase nonetheless steps up to the plate as her father and Scott offers his full support. Having an instant family comes with plenty of challenges, and the two men work to deal with sweeping changes in their lives and to make things right for Kerry.

It’s not going to be easy, and their new circumstances test them and their relationship like noth-ing ever has. They’ll need all the love they have for each other–and the love they discover for their daughter–to keep from breaking apart.

Review: Add Love and Mix is a totally charming book by Sean Michael, an author that I feel I am only starting to appreciated within the past year. Michael seems to have a knack with creating relatable characters that are both ordinary (thus making them relatable) and yet extraordinary (which makes the story interesting). What I love most about this book is that this isn’t so much a romance of relationship that is starting, it’s the story of a well-established couple who go through an extremely turbulent time which changes their family.

The narration of this book was done by Steve Balderson, who is a totally new narrator for me. Overall, his voice lent great depth to an already awesome book. His voice suited both emergency service worker MCs. I’ll definitely look forward to more books narrated by Balderson because this was simply a fantastic narration.

The story itself about firefighter Jase Weller and EMT Scott Bronson. The two have been together for six years and they see each other at home and work. They never had a reason not be scheduled on the same roster rotation at the fire station they work out of and they have been living a blissful life. All that changes close to Christmas when Jase, who is bisexual, has an unexpected visit from his ex, Elsa, who had been seeing before he got together with Scott. A lot has changed with Elsa and the main part is that Elsa turns up with a little girl, saying that she is Jase’s and that she doesn’t want the kid anymore.

It is a totally heart-breaking scene, especially after hearing of the palpable love between Scott and Jase. This is going to rock their world and their family. But kind and caring Scott immediately makes a rapport with little Kerry. But there is a ways to go before their happily ever after. Both men have to deal with this massive change to their family. Jase must understand what it is to become a father and to begin getting Kerry settled. Of course, Scott is right there next to Jase, supporting Jase and taking on as much responsibility for their daughter as the little girl deals with feelings of being rejected from her junkie mother. Add on to this Scott’s own baggage of knowing what he wants to do – he feels for Kerry because he was adopted by his parents – but the stress can get to even the most sainted of men.

This is the out of the ordinary story of two ordinary men bringing their family together and I loved it. Totally sweet and worth the read!

Blurb: What happens when you try to fix the past and end up threatening your future?

Scott is struggling. Grieving the loss of his brother, carrying the weight of his father’s expecta-tions, and getting his ass kicked in the rink, he’s in a downward spiral. He needs a solution and fast, but when his steroid use is exposed, he’s close to losing his place at Owatonna and more importantly, on the Eagles Hockey team. Thrown out of his house, with nowhere to go and no future in sight, he only has one choice; agree to mandatory counseling, random drug tests, and get his act together. Only then will he have a chance at normal. Meeting Hayne, a senior con-nected to the world through his art, is a shock to the system. Moving in with him is his only op-tion, but falling for the shy artist leaves Scott in an impossible situation, and one he can’t es-cape.

Hayne has always been that quiet, creative kid who sat in the back of class drawing instead of listening to the teacher. A talented artist, the shy and sensitive young man is struggling with the loss of his childhood friend. Seeing his sadness reflected in his usually colorful paintings, he decides to attend grief counseling and meets Scott, a lost soul in desperate need of light and color in his life. Taking in a homeless hockey player certainly was never part of his carefully or-chestrated ten-year plan. But now that Scott is in his life, he’s discovering the joy of this man’s loving smile and tender touch is one of the most beautiful palettes on earth.

Review: Scott is the second book in VL Locey and RJ Scott’s Owatonna U series. I adore the authors, VL Locey and RJ Scott, and I especially adore their hockey romances that they write together. I could go on for a long time about how much I love their style of writing and how their characters develop and grow, both outside of their book and within the book where those characters become MCs.

Unlike the first book, which starts off feeding directly from the authors’ Harrisburg Railers series from which it spun off from, you do not need to have any background from the Railers series. However, there are a few Easter eggs for avid fans on the look out for them (*clears throat* cameo and mentions of Jared Madsen and Tennant Rowe). In saying that though, I do encourage those that have not read Ryker to read that one before you go into Scott, because Scott’s story (well the moment where everything crashed down for him) happened in Ryker. Scott is dealing with the aftermath. Ryker and Jacob, in addition to Scott’s best friend Ben, make a few appearances because sometimes an intervention is needed and these guys are awesome friends.

Scott has been struggling to keep his head above water for a few years now and it all culminated in him making a massive mistake, taking steroids in the hope that his playing will improve. The problem with that is that he has hurt a lot of people, and sadly he doesn’t even remember a lot of it in his drug and alcohol haze. This isn’t because he is trying to be an arsehole jock. In fact, it’s really complicated and stems from his family’s complete breakdown after the death of his older brother, who Scott had idolised and is now constantly compared to by his father. Like many things that involve addiction or grief – or something else involved in mental health – it has built up to the point where Scott has hit rock bottom and has no choice but to deal with it.

Part of Scott’s recovery is going to group grief counselling sessions at the university. Scott has completely detached himself from everything in his life and is just looking to survive. However, things change when he meets Hayne. Hayne is a sweet and kind artist, he is grieving over the loss of his best friend to leukaemia. Hayne is also broken, but very different to Scott’s hurts, and he is dealing with things a lot better. Helping Scott is natural but becomes part of his recovery.

I love the themes of this story – two completely broken individuals building themselves up again, but they have to realise that they can’t do it alone and that each journey is both different and the same. Scott and Hayne are a wonderful couple.

I’m looking forward to the next story in this series, Benoit. Scott and Ben were best friends and unfortunately how Scott tried to cope with things led to Ben being hurt. I’m looking forward to both getting to know Ben more (seems like a top bloke). I’m also looking forward to finding out more about Ben’s side of the story and if we find out a few more tid bits from Scott and Hayne, as well as Jacob and Ryker.

Blurb: Ailin~

The demon gate needs to be sealed, at least from higher level demons. I may be the most powerful witch in the world right now, but I know I can’t do it alone. No one wants to help and risk their lives for the greater good, not that I can blame them, really. It kills me to ask my boyfriend, Emrys, but I suck it up because his magic is nearly as powerful as my own. He doesn’t want to help at first, but let’s just say I can be very persuasive.

Emrys~

Maybe he should’ve listened to me, maybe we never should’ve gone to the gate. Terrible things unfold, and Ailin and I are torn apart, our love ripped to shreds. My life is forever changed, and there’s nothing I can do about it.

In the Witch’s Seal, you’ll discover some secrets from Ailin, Emrys, and even Alec. Find out what really happened between Ailin and Emrys before the events in The Enchanter’s Flame took place, but it’s recommended that you read Book 1 first.

***The Witch’s Seal is the prequel to The Enchanter’s Flame: The Ellwood Chronicles I. It contains explicit material and is intended for mature adults 18 and over.***

Review: A short story about the events that made Emory and Ailin break up. This story had a very tense situation in where Emory tried to kill Ailin or at least it seemed like it. I liked that despite being banned from the property Emory still checked up on the coven now and then.

I was pleased he found someone else, Julius, a vampire and seems happy. I am looking forward to more in this series to see what happens with the other characters.

Great read.

Blurb: Artemas, known as the academic son of Poseidon, spent much of his time trying to work out how the Fates decided who was to be mated to whom. With the fall of his brothers, his father, and others in their close circle, he was worried he’d be next in line and the last thing he wanted or needed was a mate. But his uncle Zeus pulled him away from his studies with a special project for him – the retrieval of a book from an auction. A very special book by all accounts; the only known written record from the god Silvanus, one of the originals who hadn’t been heard from for decades. Unable to resist a good book mystery, Artemas agrees to leave Poseidon’s library long enough to bid on it.

Silvanus had spent fifty years in deep despair over what was happening to the world. He’d been alone since the beginning of time, and when his depression reached breaking point, he pleads with the Fates to remove him from the tapestry of life. Telling him it was impossible, the Fates agreed to a promise instead. Silvanus would find his mate and the love his heart hoped for. Seeking to regain his book, after it’d been sold at an auction, Silvanus lands in a hotel room, meeting his fated promise face-to-face. Unfortunately, their first meeting was not the romantic event Silvanus had hoped for.

It’s soon clear Artemas’s emotional baggage wasn’t the only threat to their possible mating. A meddling god is on the loose, and when Odin and Loki are ruled out as possible suspects, only one other god comes to mind. Throw in the fact that Thor was due to give birth any minute, and Artemas and Silvanus have to work together in more ways than one. Will Silvanus ever get the time to heal the pain in Artemas’s heart, or will the meddling god take everything they have and more?

Review: Each book in The Gods Made Me Do It collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This story is connected to the Cloverleah Pack.

Artemas is the son of Poseidon and Throth although he wishes most times he wasn’t. Throth basically dropped him off at Poseidon’s and never looked back. Which wouldn’t have been so bad had Poseidon wanted anything to do with him. Over a thousand years have past and Poseidon was getting better at it, now that he had the twin cuties. However even as time has past his pain was still there. So when he goes to bid on a book by a quite older god, a god that was thought of as being gone, imagine his look when Silvanus shows up.

Silvanus is basically older than life itself and has finally been given the gift of a mate. A mate that has much pain in his heart and doesn’t believe that what they could have would be possible. It is going to take some patience and luck to get through. However someone is out to either get the book or his mate. The threat is real they just have to figure it out.

I have always loved this author’s work and this book didn’t let me down. Action packed with enough excitement to keep me smiling for hours. It is perfect for that day you just need a pick me up. I wasn’t to surprised about who was behind it all but you might be. The characters were quite quirky and definitely hot, although Artemas was a bit off in my minds. However with his past life I can see why. I think I got a big kick out of him the most. Silvanus just seem to go with the flow.

I had a blast reading this and can’t wait to see what the next story has going on. I can guarantee that this is one of those stories that will be read many times over.

I would definitely recommend it.

Blurb: Welcome to the mercenary ship, The Blue Solace:

Leti Ando needs off planet and fast. He has a best friend and a new half-sister to rescue, and he needs to be sneaky about it. Unfortunately sneaky isn’t really his thing. With the help of a friend, Leti and his menagerie, along with his two companions, stow away aboard a mystery ship. Little does he know that The Blue Solace belongs to the infamous mercenary, Captain Will Hackett, a man he’ll come to love with everything inside him.

Will has been in a bitchy ass mood for the past six months. He’s restless and grumpy, but doesn’t know why. He knows he needs something and he can’t find it, but his crew are out of patience and insist on some R &R back home at Charybdis Station.

Then Hack finds a stow away angel and everything changes. Leti is his mate and he’ll do anything to keep him safe and happy, even smile.

The galaxy’s not a safe place, though, and The Blue Solace has a job to do: pick up a renowned scientist and his mysterious artifact. Then get them safely back to Charybdis Station. Hack and Leti don’t realize their romance story is about to get hijacked by Concord mercenaries. Their love is easy, it happens just like that. Staying alive and keeping the galaxy safe? That’s a little harder.

Author’s Note: 41,801 words. (Previously published as “Happens Just Like That”). This is a m/m love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There is lots of action, sex, mpreg, and a few potty mouths involved in the story. 18+ readers only, please. It is also the first of two books about this specific couple.

Review: Leti and his many pets, sister and travel companion stow away aboard a mercenary ship to get away from his father. The mercenary captain has been irritating and grumpy but not knowing why until he meets his mate Leti that is a stowaway.

Many antics take place as the many exotic animals are taken over by various crew members and everyone finds a place. I liked the way the story progressed but have to confess that I was a bit put off by how nice a mercenary captain was in this story. I was expecting him to be a bit more gruff not happy all the time.

Other than that it was an entertaining story.

Good read.
