Review: Long ago a god got fed up with humans and wanted to do away with them. His brother traps him in glass ball for eternity after he sacrifices his brothers mates pure soul. Now about years later the world has changed. With the sacrifice came a new species of humans called Zadian’s who have unique abilities. Humans are scared of these abilities and so rules and regulations are started.
I don’t want to give anything away in this review. My emotions were all over the place with this story. I hated Doctor Adam and his hot cold treatment of Declan. I was beginning to think he had no feelings at all. Declan is a powerful Z healer. He learns of Adam’ brother Darren who is also a Z with extraordinary powers that have never been seen before.
Not a lot is given about who Darren actually is. Darren is supposed to release the evil god that was trapped so long ago so the president can have his power. I loved this story. It’s dark, twisted and oh so good. I didn’t care for the military base compound and the lengths they went to make sure the Z’s they had to comply. It was brutal.
Never the less this is a powerful story of good versus evil that does end with a cliffhanger so to speak. Highly addictive and engaging this story will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. I am looking forward to seeing what other twists and turns happen in the next book.

Flynn has gone through life a bit detached, not of a lot of love from his family, no big passions in life besides his beagle Barley. Until he sets his sights and his heart on Mac. Overall this is a story about finding love in unusual places, choosing to make family from friends, and the love of four legged fur-babies.
Michael Neeb is a great narrator, giving distinct voices to each story character, and plenty of velvet to each passionate encounter.
If you love fast paced love at first sight, cute men with wounded hearts, and of course, dogs, you’ll love this sweet and sexy story by Rick R. Reed.

Review: I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked up Kris Bethke’s book, part of Dreamspun Desire imprint, Ghost of a Chance. Firstly, I’ve never read anything by the author before. Secondly, reading the blurb I was a little concerned because I had been burned by books that featured “dream walkers” before, but luckily this is nothing like that I just wasn’t understanding the blurb properly when I was reading it. My bad.
Turns out I really loved this book and I was keen to get onto the next two installments in the series.
The concept is different to what I’ve read in the past. There is a special group of people that work for a company called Requiem Inc. It’s not an ordinary company in that the people are charged solely to ensure that spirits are at peace and do not become malicious entities. There are people, Ghostwalkers, with a special gene which means they can die and come back to life, their body heals with some Wolverine type accelerated healing and as a result they can live up to a couple centuries. Then there are another group of people which have a gene which makes them, essentially, the perfect care giver, called anchors. Each ghostwalker needs to be paired with an anchor so that they can go through the trauma of being killed, helping dead spirits who are usually traumatized, coming back to life, living and doing it all over again.
We are introduced into this complicated world by Blake Jones, a ghostwalker who is without an anchor. Despite being gay, or because of being gay, Blake prefers females anchors so that he can’t form a romantic attachment to his anchor. However, his new anchor is a good looking, kind and very male who happens to be a bit of a rarity. Derek Scott possesses the gene to be a natural anchor, which by all accounts is a unique experience for ghostwalkers when under the care of an anchor.
Derek dives into his job as the new anchor for Blake with enough cheer to melt the most bitter, or the most reluctant, of hearts. Which is pretty much Blake. He doesn’t want to get close to Derek, but their chemistry and attraction is off the charts, and Derek is just what Blake needs in his life. Of course, there is always complications when it comes to office romances, but being a paranormal romance this means that there is also the possibility of the guys getting together on a more intimate, literally soul binding level. While Derek is happy to take the plunge, Blake needs a lot more persuasion.
This was a fun and cute story with a good sprinkling of paranormal. I loved the uniqueness of the whole ghostwalker concept. I loved the romance between Derek and Blake, it was a relatively simple love story, the main guts of the story was how the world of Requiem Inc. works. Yes, there is a little angst from Blake’s part but it was definitely vital to making the story a fantastic read.
Staff Sergeant Alexei Dvorkin doesn’t trust easily, and he most certainly doesn’t trust spies. He’ll work with them if ordered to, but that doesn’t mean he has to like it. Except Agent Sean Delaney is proving to be the exception to the rule. There’s something about Sean that gets under Alexei’s skin and won’t let go. Alexei would be lying if he said he wasn’t interested in what lay beneath the agent’s mask. When they’re assigned together for a mission, Alexei vows to keep Sean safe all while trying to coax the hot agent into his bed.
Hold onto hope.
Agent Sean Delaney has spent his entire adult life living a lie for his country. When the MDF tasks him with finding evidence of criminal wrong-doing against the owner of a private military company, Sean knows exactly how to play the game to get what he wants. He just doesn’t know how to handle Alexei’s advances, nor his own attraction to the younger soldier. Being a spy is lonely work, and Sean knows he should keep his distance, but saying no to Alexei is impossible from the moment they first kiss.

In the Shadows is a 104k word steamy gay sci-fi military romance with a HFN ending that skirts HEA. There is military violence within the story that may not be suitable for everyone, as well as explicit intimate scenes not suitable for readers under the age of 18. This is a direct sequel to In the Ruins and reading the previous books in the series would be helpful in enjoying this one.
Review: I absolutely loved this story about Alexei and Sean. We meet them in a previous book. In this story they team up on an undercover mission that goes wrong. The plans and subsequent revelations that take place throughout had me breathless.
These two men are very different from one another yet compliment the other. Their powers are mindblowing. Even though technically Sean is part of the CIA I suspect he will be added permanently to the team as he is good match for them.
Action packed and full of intense situations and some humor this story packs a punch. I truly felt like I was witnessing everything happening with all the amazing play by play details during the battle scenes. Best book in the series so far with amazing characters that added to the story. The only thing that irritated me was the lack of a glossary for the meaning of Russian words that were prevalent throughout the story. So I just guessed as to their meanings as I didn’t have time to look them up.

Review:Each book in the City Dragon’s collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.
Samuel is not only a dragon shifter but an omega dragon shifter. He has hidden it from his family but what he doesn’t know is his dragon has told the other dragons. There are many gifts one receives from the gods when they mate with a omega dragon shifter, but the omega gets the best gift of all. He can get pregnant, can you imagine Samuel’s expression once he finds out. He met his mate when his brother’s celebrated their adopted son’s birth, even gave him a ride on his back. However his mate has rejected him, or so he thinks.
Raoul is a very old and very powerful vampire elder. He didn’t reject his young mate just felt like he should give him some times, since he is very young. However it would seem that Samuel’s younger brothers have another idea, kidnapping. He also has danger inside his own coven that might place his young mate in danger, but piss off a dragon and your ass will get fried.
I have read many books by this author and am always surprised each time. The stories just seem to get better and better. Action packed, danger filled, excitement overload and some hot sexy times are just a bit of what you get in this, you also get attitude. It is never good to piss off someone that can blow flames from their mouth. My attention was captivated from the start and I am going to go read this book again. I can guarantee that it will be read many times over, just can’t seem to get enough of them.
I had a blast reading this and can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

Review: Alex and Will are arranged to be mated. Neither is happy with the circumstances until they see each other. Getting to know one another they both realize they were wrong about the other and grow closer.
As the story progresses there is dissension within Alex’s ranks that plots to kill Will. A great story that keeps you on edge awaiting the outcome. The battle scene was fierce and awesome.
I have read books one through four and this is the best book in the series so far. The rest are o.k but lack action like this one has.

Review:Each book in the Council Enforcers collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This series is connected to the Whitedell Pride and Gillham Pack series.
I hate to admit this, but for a short while there I had lost my enthusiasm for reading. The books were coming out the same and was just a bit boring to me. Then Catherine put Jessie out, and bam it didn’t last long at all. I could take a nice long breath and got my love back for my guys. Although these two really did need a smack in the head. Men sure are a bit slow on the uptake sometimes.
Jessie and Ezra were mates, but Jessie was a jerk and rejected it a while back. He was bound and determined to find a female with. To bad he was into men, can’t keep something like that hidden from yourself for to long. He regretted what he did ever since then and he was not happy. However he was also not going to let Ezra know. He felt like a fool to say the least.
Ezra missed his mate something fierce. They were not only mates but friends at one point. Then the alpha they put away was planning on going after Jessie and his brother. Ezra might be a council enforcer but he was not going to let anything happen to his family. Now all they need to do is to learn how to talk to one another. Jessie has been given a second chance.
Exciting, enticing, adventure, danger, hot sex and damn could you ask for more. I had a lot of fun reading this and can not wait to get my hands on the next book. It was a big hit with me.

However, being forced to go to the one Island no one ever entered, was not something any of them had planned out or thought through. It was just a fact that there was no choice if their destiny was to be fulfilled. The question was would they even make it to the Island alive and even if they did, would they live to tell about it.
Review: The saga continues with Rey, Dustin and Winter. Rey does not feel like he fits in at all so Dustin and Winter decide to show him how wrong he is. An unexpected trip to an island with shifters sets in motion things that will culminate for all involved.
I loved this story with it’s cast of characters new and old. I found it intriguing to read about the island shifters. I love this series and hope it continues.
