After he’s kicked out for being gay, still reeling from being abandoned by the man he loves, Jude goes to live with his brother Beck, who thankfully is more than happy to take him in. The name’s Lio, and you may have read the beginning of my story in A Cupid’s Wager. Well, hold on to you hats, because there’s more to tell about your favorite cupid working in the Gay Division of the Inter-Dimensional Association of Cupids.
Remember Ethan? That Aztec god of the winds who busted me shooting a closeted human with a gay lust arrow? Yeah, I haven’t been able to forget him either. Even though I have a rule against getting it on with other supernaturals—especially ones working for the Straight Division—my magic is drawn to Ethan and all his tattoos and piercings in a way I cannot control.
But after that night of mind-numbing sex, now I gotta face my evil ex-boyfriend and a suspension by the IDAC for “misplacing” arrows. They took my quiver, and I have to figure out how to get my arrow privileges back before they’re taken forever.
Ethan seems to think he can help me, but I don’t know how anybody can make this cupid believe in love again.

Blurb:A Fairy Tales of the Open Road Novel
Modern-day fairy-tale princess Taylor Hatfield has problems. One, he’s a guy. Two, he’s an insomniac Sleeping Beauty. Three, his practically perfect brother, Atticus Hatfield, this generation’s Snow White, has been irrevocably corrupted by the Witchking. The Library, a clandestine organization, seeks to write “The End” on Atticus, and Taylor is given the impossible task when his own parents endorse his brother’s demise. With his true love, the huntsman Corentin Devereaux, at his side, they once again set out to find Atticus, but Atticus won’t go down without a fight.
The quest ends how it began. But instead of the quirky, corkscrewing Americana road trip, Taylor and Corentin must contend with the dangers of the urban jungle. With an unexpected ally at their side, they’re forced to question all they know about the legacy of Snow White.
As the world of the Enchants and the mundane hang in the balance, Taylor knows what he must do: go pick an apple.
Review:This story is part of a series and must be read in order.
Okay, so we re-join Taylor and Corentin in Lex Chase’s completely off the wall Fairy Tales of the Open Road series (aka Screw-up Princess and Skillful Huntsman), now you can’t just pick this story up and join the series (because it would be a serious mind fuck) you have to read this series from the beginning to even have a clue what was going on and to understand what’s happening.
Being honest I’m completely flummoxed on how to write this review, because everything that’s happening in this book is the result of what happened in the previous books… *shakes head* bloody Atticus. Okay I’ll give it my best shot!
After Atticus steals The Book from the Library Taylor and Corentin are given the task of finding a certain object that will finally bring an end to Atticus’ reign of terror, but they have to work with Idi the Witchking (who is Atticus’ true love) and then the journey of ‘OMG what the hell is going on’ begins. Hmmm yeah Lex Chase takes us on yet another journey with Taylor and Corentin that is just too crazy for words.
So loads of ‘huh’ moments, quite a few ‘what the hell’ moments and several ‘bloody Atticus has lost his freaking mind’ moments. This is an amazing story that has so many things going on/ overlapping that you can just keep the thread of the story while personally wishing you could get your hands on Atticus and shove the ‘certain object’ down his throat yourself.
There’s plenty of danger, lots of more danger and some more danger to boot, there some shocking betrayals, a couple of Wandering Path journeys, seeking help from a troll, facing The Emeraldine Beast, and the final showdown. There are twists and turns, ducking and diving, hunting and hiding and just… hell I told you it would be hard to describe.
This is a fantastic story that is brilliantly written and will take you on a journey that is just brilliant, it might make you wish that you’d never begun the journey but you’ll enjoy being dragged every step of the way. Lex Chase has written a trilogy that has ended in an explosive ending and it’s not till the last couple of pages that you find out if true love actually won out!
I recommend this to those who love urban fantasy, who adore journeys into the unknown, who love characters that you adore and those you hate/sympathise with, who love well-crafted stories, and just maybe a true loves ending.

Lime Gelatin and Other Monsters
(Offbeat Crimes 01)
by
Angel Martinez
Kyle Monroe’s encounter with a strange gelatinous creature in an alley leaves him scarred and forever changed, revealing odd abilities he wishes he didn’t have and earning him reassignment to a precinct where all the cops have defective paranormal abilities.
Just as he’s starting to adjust to his fellow misfit squad mates, Kyle’s new partner arrives. Tall, physically perfect, reserved, and claiming he has no broken psychic talents, Vikash Soren irritates Kyle in every way. But as much as he’d like to hate Vikash, Kyle finds himself oddly drawn to him, their non-abilities meshing in unexpected ways. If they can learn to work together, they might be able to stop the mysterious killer who has been leaving mutilated bodies along the banks of the Schuylkill.
Blurb: Levi Bell can see a person’s soul just by looking into their eyes. In Monroe Poirier’s eyes, he sees the devil himself.
When Monroe moves back to the small Southern town of Malcome, Levi is repelled by the darkness of the stranger’s soul. But Levi is cursed to love things dark and wicked, and he’s seduced each time he looks into Monroe’s eyes—and drawn to the swamp behind the old Poirier house.
As strange occurrences begin to happen when shadows and visions visit him in the night, Levi sees a flicker of something good in Monroe’s soul. But the need to submerge himself in the swamp’s murky waters grows stronger as Levi’s desire for Monroe becomes unbearable.
In his struggles to help Monroe save his soul, Levi will have to decide if it’s worth losing his own.
Review: Nash Summers is a new author for me so I wasn’t too sure what to expect. In a way I was pleasantly surprised and in another I was totally creeped out. I can’t say that I am or will ever be a fan of this story though. To me the tone was just too dark and just too intense for me to really get into. As for the story itself it was well written, with a lot of depth that will drag you in from the moment one starts reading it.
I have always felt that Louisiana was a place that was deep, dark and mysterious. You hear many things about it and it was never a place I wanted to visit, although there were some interesting areas that did sound intriguing. Nash has given us a story that makes you feel like you are right there with them, freaking out the whole way.
Levi can take one look at a person’s eyes to know what they are like. His family, as well as himself, are connected deeply to the sides of good and evil. Levi can see the soul; another can see ghosts and so forth. His soul is actually in my mind a ghost I would guess, and very few can see it. His own grandmother had told him that he would fall in love with the devil. He is aligned with the darkness and has found the one man that was his. His grandmother was right.
Monroe is full of darkness and evil, but in truth it is all a curse. His darkness is what calls to Levi. When Monroe came home, the town was not welcoming at all. He feels like he deserves everything they throw at him and sees himself as the monster they call him. It will be up to Levi to save his soul and to show him that he is more than what others see.
It has a very creepy mysterious look about it, but the characters are a different type that I haven’t really come across in all of my reading. You can tell how Monroe really is with his reaction to Levi and how he doesn’t want to hurt him at all. If he was so evil, he would not care. I definitely would not read this at night and alone.
Overall the story is very well told and flows just perfect. The pace was a bit slow for me and I can’t say that this will ever be a story that I will ever like. I can honestly say after reading this that I will probably stay away from the state as well. I am afraid that this story was just not for me and I will probably avoid the next book.
However, if you like paranormals with dark tones, a mystery to solve and evil, then this will be a hit for you. I would recommend it.

Blurb: Cop-turned-bounty-hunter Gabe Dominguez is hired to capture firestarter Nat Wyatt. For a dragon-shifter like Gabe, apprehending Nat is easy, but transporting him involves more time, energy, and blood loss than he envisioned. An attack from a band of fairies, an out-of-control forest fire, and a showdown at an auction don’t faze Gabe, but Nat’s innocence might stop him entirely.
Since discovering his abilities, Nat’s lost a best friend, a boyfriend, and trust in his brother. Only his love of concerts and card games get him through life without a home. Rumors of the Judge, a giant dragon who once destroyed half of Canada avenging those he loved, provide Nat with hope of vindication. When Nat discovers his captor is the Judge, he thinks he’s finally caught a break. Through late-night conversations and a shared love of music, Nat tries to convince Gabe he’s not guilty.
Can Gabe continue his cutthroat lifestyle, or will he run away with his dragon hoard like he’s always longed to do? Can Nat escape his legacy, or will his be another spark snuffed out by people who don’t understand? The Oracle, the most powerful wizard in Canada, might be the only one who can provide answers.
Review: Bounty Hunter Gabe is a dragon shifter, when he’s given a new bounty to hunt when he’s having a rare night to himself he’s just a touch miffed, discovering the guy he’s just picked up is his bounty makes him grind his teeth, seeing said bounty driving off on his bike has steam coming out of his ears but it’s nothing compared to the journey he’s about to take as he drags his bounty across the country.
Nat is a firestarter who just wants to get on with his life, but with yet another bounty out on his head he knows it will be near impossible to escape his brother again. Discovering his hunter is the Judge has him grasping at the slim hope of someone believing the truth, but getting Gabe to see the truth is freaking hard. During the journey to the meeting point Nat and Gabe share a love of music and Gabe begins to accept that not everything he has been told about Nat is the truth, but can he let go of his duty as a bounty hunter to try and help Nat.
This is a great urban fantasy story that has a paranormal world that is like nothing we are used to. Gabe shut himself off from the world after that death of his lover, turning to bounty hunting to survive he’s earned the name of the Judge but when he’s sent to pick up Nat it has him questioning what he is doing and what he truly wants. Nat is stuck; his brother wants him for his firestarting powers and just won’t let him go, he tries to keep under the radar but with his brother setting him up for arson and murder he just can’t keep moving fast enough.
When these two men meet it truly is a moment of sparks flying between them, their attraction to each other is instant but they end up at odds when Gabe takes a bounty that Nat has on his head. This really is a fantastic story that has many moments of near misses and digging for the truth. The paranormal aspects are brilliant with the world being a place where paranormals are accepted with laws in place to govern them.
The actually storyline is fascinating as we are dragged deeper into Gabe and Nat’s world, startling revelations become clear with Gabe left feeling betrayed. We meet several characters who add a great deal to the storyline and make this story just a little bit more special, but Nat and Gabe are the stars of this show, especially when they face down the Oracle!
I recommend this to those who love real world paranormals, fantastic urban fantasy stories, accepting the truth an doing the right thing and a love that blooms during the harshest of times.

Blurb: Solitary mystery writer Julian Wilkes doesn’t want a pet, but his sister persuades him to visit Lingwood Animal Rescue, where he is immediately taken with a large ginger tabby cat. Before he can settle into the joys of cat ownership, however, he discovers something very unusual about his new companion.
Macavity Birch is cursed. By day he is a large tabby cat. At night he can be himself—a human male with ginger hair and oddly yellow eyes. He didn’t mean to end up in the animal rescue, but he never meant any harm when playing the prank that resulted in his curse, either. Happily, Julian adopts him. But while exploring his host’s home, he discovers the diary of a long-dead relative.
Unfortunately, not all of Mac’s ancestors are dead and buried. His great-great-great-grandmother is very much alive, and she’s a powerful witch who doesn’t take kindly to the sharing of family secrets. When Mac reveals himself to Julian in order to save him from bigger trouble, he achieves just the opposite, plunging Julian deeper into a magical mystery with him.
Review: Julian is a very strange man. His sister had to drag him down to the Animal Rescue to pick out a dog, just because he doesn’t leave the house a lot. She figured it would help him be less solitary. He is an amazing mystery writer who quit writing because of his stupid ex-boyfriend. However what he comes home with is a cat, and not just any cat.
Mac is a cat shifter, a beautiful tabby cat with an attitude. He is cursed to stay all day long in his cat form, all because he is a feisty troublemaker. He is also a very distant relative of the witch that had ended in trouble. His great-great-great grandmother cursed him and is ticked off to say the least. She is trying to protect the family from finding out what they are. The problem is Julian is asking questions she will not want answered.
This story was a blast to read. It had so much humor in it, and you can tell that it would just from the cover alone. I must admit that Julian is just a bit stiff, but damn the man loves to talk to the cat. He also didn’t react like one would when they come across a shifter, which shows how odd he is.
I did like the story quite a bit and can’t wait to see what other stories this author has out.
Blurb: Young Snowden “Snow” Reynaldi is brilliant, beautiful, and alone. Though he’s shy, weird, and tolerated by the NorCal University students because he’s a renowned whiz at chess and helps put the school on the map, that doesn’t keep him from dreaming of the object of his desires: Riley Prince, championship quarterback.
When Riley needs a physics tutor, Snow jumps at the chance, and their relationship heats up—but Riley has to come out of the jock closet to get anywhere. Meanwhile, Snow’s one true friend and mentor, Professor Kingsley, marries a woman who secretly wants the chess tournament glory and money for herself. Soon after, the professor collapses and Snow finds himself underwater—literally. In a car!
Seven frat brothers from Grimm College rescue Snow just in time for his life to get even worse, and Snow discovers the one relationship he always wanted slipping away. With evil looming at every turn, Snow must survive if only to prove he’s the fairest of them all and regain the trust of his handsome prince.
Review: When I first started reading this I did not even connect it to ‘Snow White’, actually I admit it, and it didn’t connect till after I read the story. I have not really read any stories by this author, so you can imagine my surprise. This was one of the most beautiful stories that I have ever read. There is a touch of humor in it that was quite pleasant but most of the story has a serious tone to it.
It is not very often that an author takes me by surprises, but Tara Lain has found a spot in my heart. She gives her readers sexy men who have a hard story to tell. In this one, it is about their loved ones and friends who battle jealousy and greed. The heart ache that it felt can actually be felt by the readers. I loved the pace to this story; it came off perfect to me.
I loved how this story was full of amazing characters and our very own fairy godparents were a big hit for me. You also have the evil villains who are always trying to overthrow our heroes. I also did not think chess would be so interesting and so costly. The humor was a big hit for me, but the serious tone made the story just so damn fun. The characters were fully developed and it felt like I knew them all.
Snow is a sexy young man who is not only one of the smartest men that I know but is a master at chess. He has a game that would be the biggest win of his life, if someone wasn’t trying to kill him. He lost his parents when he was but a small child, raised by his grandmother who also passed on, he was always alone. The only one he could call family was his chess mentor. That is until he is asked to tutor the one man that makes his toes curl.
Riley is the star of football and pretty damn smart on his own. He only has problems in one class, and he needs someone to help him. He has one secret that he has hidden from almost everyone. However he has wanted Snow from the first time he had seen him and he now has a chance to make the man his.
This story unfolded perfectly for me and the characters were beautiful and strong. I loved the suspense you get from it as well as the excitement and drama. This story kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know more.
I loved this and can’t wait to read more from this author. I loved the twists that this story seems to have. Which, as I have already admitted I didn’t realize the theme. I absolutely loved this story and cannot wait to read the next story. What an amazing job this author has done with this book.
If you love fairy-tales, sweet stories, and some amazing heat, plus excitement, danger and suspense then this story will be for you.

The Archangel Michael is tired. He fought wars and shoved his brother Lucifer out of heaven all before the Dark Ages rolled around. His role as protector of Israel now encompasses all of humanity, and while he performs his job perfectly, there’s little personal joy in it.
Until one night in a bar when he meets Asher.
Michael isn’t sure what it is about the vulnerable, self-deprecating Asher that calls to him, but something about the restrained depths of Asher, his gentle smiles and encyclopedic knowledge of flowers, tugs at Michael in a way that can’t be denied. Too bad romance isn’t part of his mission.
Facing an eternity of perfect submission to God’s authority, rebellion stirs in Michael. Questions of free will, angelic vocation, and the role of love and lust demand answers that just might cost Michael his place in heaven.

Even love can die without trust.
Angel’s brother, Isaac, has returned home, and the pair begin to make slow and awkward attempts back to each other. Learning how to be a brother to a grown man instead of a parental figure has Angel adjusting his behaviors and habits, and Isaac still remains a mystery. Was it merely entering adulthood that turned Isaac away from an overprotective Angel, or does Isaac carry a secret that will keep them from finally being a real family?
Daniel Macavoy, Angel’s new apprentice, is torn between his bond with Angel and the grasping machinations of his father. Dealing with a traumatized apprentice with dangerous holes in his magical education, saving Daniel may be harder than Angel first thought—especially since the biggest problem is not revenge, but guilt.
The one shining beacon in his life is Simeon, Elder vampire of Boston’s only Bloodclan. Four hundred years old and sexy as sin, Simeon is warrior and sage, patient and cunning. The strength Angel draws from Simeon’s devotion and the newborn mate-bond between them is steadfast and true…and the fount of death magic that animates the undead lord places Angel in the midst of a power struggle for control over himself, his lover, and his family.
Through it all, Angel is beleaguered by the unwanted attention of a troll-hybrid, the adventures of a dragon in the city, and a serial killer has decided to hunt the back alleys and midnight streets of Boston.

Review: This story is not a stand-alone novel and needs to be read in order. All of the characters are well established in the other stories, so if you want to get the full effect then trust me start with book one. This is the seventh book in this series and I have to tell you that the questions you had before, well this one will give you some answers.
This story starts off with Dex waking up tied to a chair. He had been abducted by Mr. Wolf, who wants what his mother had taken. The only problem was Dex had no clue what the hell the man was talking about. To top it off with all the drugs the idiot had given him; it would seem Dex has a few surprises left for you. He finds out about his parents and the twists are pretty captivating. Poor Sloane is in for some surprises now.
Sloane is quite shocked by the things he finds out. Now as many of us known when Sloane freaks out, he asks for space. This time however he is about to get beat over the head. The lingering scents that Dex is putting out there, will lead us into some interesting facts about humans and Therian’s.
The guys are more together in this story, more domestic if one might say so. There is a closeness that wasn’t there before. The twists and turns to this story kept my attention from the start. I must admit that there were some small parts that I didn’t much care for, but then again it is probably just me. I think it is because you get the feeling, that this is soon to be the end of this particular series. There is a lot of action and surprises in this series that makes it even better for me. I always love a good action based plot with shocks and surprises, mixed in with some hot sex.
As always Charlie Cochet has given us a fun filled story that kept me on the edge of my seat. I love our guys and can’t wait to read more about them. I can’t wait for Seb’s and Hudson to have their happily ever after though. I want more stories about all our amazing characters.
Once again this story rocked and I can’t wait for the next story. This is one story that I would definitely recommend.
