Mama, Me, and the Holiday Tree
(Appalachian Elementals 01.5)
by
Jeanne G’Fellers
A dozen handmade holiday ornaments, that’s all, but it might be an impossible task.
Centenary Rhodes and her mother are at constant odds. It’s one of the many reasons Cent left home when she was eighteen. Mama’s difficult for anyone to manage, but now that Cent’s back home, she has to try. Mama, however, won’t acknowledge who Cent’s become, even though she’s repeatedly been shown the truth.
It’ll take more than popcorn strings and paper snowflakes to heal the rift that’s formed between Cent and Mama. It’s going to take bushels of patience, heaps of magic, and assistance from everyone on both sides of Embreeville Mountain to reset the Balance between them.
But with Yule and Christmas just around the corner, it might already be too late.
Join Cent and her Mother for a heart-warming, magic-filled holiday tale of acceptance, family of choice, family of blood, love, magic, and patience all served with a queer Appalachian twist.
Blurb:Kill the dragon, marry the princess, and rule the kingdom. It’s a fantasy come true… if you’re straight.
Adam is a chemistry student and martial artist, active in his local chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism. But none of that prepares him to be the savior of a faraway land locked in perpetual dusk.
In a world of shape-shifters, necromancy, and religious politics, Adam is fated to slay the golden dragon, Khalivibra, and defeat its mind-controlling sorcery to help Princess Esmeralda of Aergon retake her city. Tradition dictates he’ll rule by her side—but Adam is much more interested in Duin, a warrior who changes to beast form in the light of the sun… or fire.
Adam hopes he and Duin might end up together when their ordeal ends. But first, the reluctant hero, the spell-casting heir to the throne, the beast-shifting object of Adam’s desire, a six-legged cave lizard, and any allies they can gather must do the impossible… and live to celebrate their victory.
Review: Adam is pulled into a world where his help is needed. He is on a mission to acquire a weapon in the hopes that it will restore the balance that was destroyed. Duin is a sort of shifter that is dragged into helping Adam find the weapon.
There is a lot going on throughout the story as our brave souls set out on a journey fraught with danger around every turn. Magical creatures are all in abundance in this exciting story. I loved everything about the story.
The progression was both magical, adventurous, tense situations and at times sweet. I really enjoyed the entire book as I got to know Duin and Adam.

About Jessamyn!
Jessamyn Kingley lives in Nevada where she begs the men in her head to tell her their amazing stories which she dutifully writes it all down in what has become a small mountain of notebooks. She falls in love with each couple and swears whatever book she wrote last is her absolute favorite.
Jessamyn is married and working toward remembering to start the dishwasher without being distracted by the scent of the magical detergent. For personal enjoyment, she aids in cat rescue while slashing and gashing her way through mobs in various MMORPGs. Caffeine is her very best friend and is only cast aside briefly for the sin better known as BBQ potato chips.
Blurb: Benji is scared, alone and on the run from his own people. Being a chosen one, Benji knows that he is intended to have three mates. However, meeting all three at the same time wasn’t something he ever thought could happen. Casius, a dragon shifter raised in a gypsie tribe surrounded by nothing but humans. Asbuth a gargoyle, open minded and caring as well as lethal to those that endanger anyone he holds dear. A phoenix shifter,Robert, known as Doc Rob, to all of Crystal with a chip on his shoulder when it comes to dragons and not sure if he can claim one as his own. If Robert refuses what does this mean for the rest of the mates since Benji refuses to mate any of them if he can’t mate them all? They better figure out things fast because that which hunts Benji is on it’s way, bringing war and death.
Review: Each book in the Eternal Flame collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This series is also connected to Eternal Flame Maddox and Kaliss collections.
Benji is a normal demon who has his best friends, his favorite hellhound who loves him and the best pet in the world. Then it all went to hell when fate decided he was to be the chosen one. Now every single demon except for his best friends wanted to mate him. His friends helped him get to safety. He knew the chosen one got three mates but he hadn’t expected to find them all at once.
Robert is the doctor for the whole town and never seems to get a minute to breathe. He hated humans and especially dragons. To him the dragons took his wife and two babies so he had good reason for hating the dragons, and now he had to obey one. One more call telling him to get his ass to the diner and damn he has found his mates. And hell one of them is a dragon.
Asbuth is gargoyle shifter and pretty much an easy guy to be around. So can you imagine his expression when he walks into the diner. Casius and his brother had lost their parents to the old war and had been pretty much raised in a gypsy tribe. Now they were in a town full of the paranormal with their two best friends, who were human. Then the surprises keep coming.
When I received this book I will admit that I went back to the very first book and started reading them all over again. I am not a fan of stories that have more then three lovers in them so it was not a big hit with me as it should have been. That aside it was pretty entertaining and I laughed my ass off at Benji and Timmy’s animals. The worlds these authors created are exciting and down right hot. I loved the characters and the way they are with each other. I will admit that Timmy will always be my favorite though. Benji comes real close though. With this story you get some hot sexy times, danger, adventure, excitement, entertainment and some sweet loving. It gave me everything I could want in a story and so much more.
I had a blast reading this and can guarantee that it will be read more than once. I would definitely recommend this and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

With help from Lucky’s sentient obsidian blade, Ciarrah, he makes it back to the light, only to find his country is in deep distress, and it’s getting deeper.
The wizard Thurlock, Lucky’s dragon-kin uncle Han, and other friends help him muddle through as he becomes the channel for prophecy. War erupts in the Sunlands, and in a battle against wraiths created by the advanced science of a dying world, Lucky plays a key role. Physical weapons can’t stop the enemy, but Ciarrah’s light can, and only Lucky can wield it. With the help of his winged horse, his boyfriend, and Thurlock, Lucky sets out to prevent his mother’s shade from wreaking any more havoc. But will stopping her end the horrors facing his world?
Review: Lucky has plans for a long break after his adventure but things do not go as planned and he is yet again pulled into another demanding adventure. Prophecy, battle plans and war quickly ensconce our brave Lucky into an unforgiving adventure with much at stake.
I loved everything about this story. It’s breathless scenes left me stunned at times. The battle plans were ingenious as well as the characters themselves all playing vital roles into bringing this stunning story into sharp clarity.
I was hooked from the very first word to the last in this exciting addition to the series. Another brilliant story for the Sun Child Chronicles as we follow Lucky on his journey yet again.
Blurb: Levi was one of the most popular men on campus at his little college located in the north Georgia hills. In the three years since his small group of friends left the little mill village called Hell’s Creek to venture out into the ‘real’ world, he’s watched as each of them has grown more carefree and happy. They played football and Frisbee, went to their classes and partied hard on the weekends. And none of the other students ever guessed that a small group of shifters has invaded their human world. Life would have been sweet if not for one thing—the one boy on campus that Levi wants to impress hates his guts. Openly, intensely, and with great malice.
Christian has his reasons for not accepting Levi’s endless invitations, and they all have to do with a terminal illness he’s had since he was a child. When Christian goes camping one weekend with a friend, he’s hoping he can forget his troubles for a while and relax. It’s working fine, until a huge wolf and a black panther come roaring out of the forest and straight at him. Christian faints and when he wakes up, finds that Levi has taken him to his home in Hell’s Creek. The strange inhabitants of the town all believe they can turn into animals. And people are telling him over and over again that he can’t leave, because he’s seen too much. Worst of all, the more time he spends with the gorgeous Levi, the healthier he’s beginning to feel and the more he’s beginning to fall for him. Is there really something in the water like everyone tells him? Or is he just going as crazy as they all are?
Will the secret that Hell’s Creek has been hiding finally be revealed? Christian has to find a way out of town before it’s too late, and before he falls hopelessly and irrevocably in love.
Review: Each book in the Hell’s Creek collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.
Men and their evil creations have been shown once more. They created small towns, full of poison and kept their people prisoner. You try to leave and you die. If you are different the human religious nutcases kill you. Christian was told when he was younger that he was going to die from a blood disease. It was what let him go to college, to live what was left of his life the way he wanted. He wanted to drink his way out. That is until he see’s Levi. A man who was everything he was not.
Levi saw Christian and wanted him. Levi is a shifter whose town was trying to combat what had been done to him. He had not really believed in fated mates, but Christian was his. Now all he had to do is to show him. I just don’t think the way he did it was the way he intended.
Once I started reading this, book one came right back to me. It caught my attention from the start and kept if all the way to the end. I loved the characters but damn if they are not cranky or quirky. I enjoyed the fact that a wolf and a cat were mated. In fact it made me laugh a bit. It has a serious tone to it but it was even with the other feelings in it.
I had a lot of fun reading this and can guarantee that you will enjoy it. This is one story I would recommend.

To Save His Prince
(Ice Dragon Tales 04)
by
Hurri Cosmo
Emory is a humble kitchen servant intent on working hard so he can continue to earn his daily crust of bread. It is a thankless, back-breaking job, but it is exactly where Emory wants to be. In the magnificent West Quay castle. Because that is where the incredibly handsome, extremely talented Crown Prince Riffyn lives. The beautiful, kind, and attentive man stole Emory’s heart years before when he rescued him and his mother from a band of thieves. Now Emory’s only wish is to be close, so he can simply admire and serve the man.
But a great evil walks the halls of the castle, and Emory stumbles on a heinous plot to not only kill the prince but a possible plan to overthrow the Kingdom. A wicked scheme that includes the use of magic. Of course, being a lowly servant, no one believes Emory when he tries to raise the alarm, including the prince, who has been commanded to choose a bride now, or one will be chosen for him. Even as Emory’s heart breaks for his prince, he has to find a way to save him. But how, when no one, not even the king, the prince’s own father, can be trusted?
Blurb: Thor, Norse god of the storms, was extremely frustrated Lasse was making a heap of excuses to back out of all the fun activities they used to do before Lasse’s mate, Jason, got pregnant. It wasn’t as though he objected to his best friend finding his true mate, it’s just he didn’t think Lasse should worry himself gray over the things Jason enjoyed doing. And okay, maybe the storm over Manhattan wasn’t strictly necessary, but… who was that man who glowed in the rain? Yep, glowed.
Orin Green is a loner who keeps his head down and lives for his work. A strong believer in the ancient gods all his life, he has no problems splashing through the rain when Thor is throwing his temper around. He’s got other things on his mind. Like why Professor Foggerty hates him so much and just what is the secret of the book Foggerty wants translated? When things get out of hand and Orin’s attacked in his own apartment, the last person he thought would burst through his wards was Thor. It’s a shame the sexy god had to spoil his image by opening his mouth.
A magic book, a missing father, and Poseidon himself prepared to be a guinea pig? Orin’s life is suddenly turned completely upside down and through the middle of it all he has to contend with Thor’s efforts to be the mate he dreamed of.
Review: Each book in the The Gods Made Me Do It collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This series is connected to the Cloverleah Pack series so you might want to read those books first.
If you ever want to see a god protect his ass, read this book because the ending will have you laughing your ass off. And when I say protect his ass, I do mean his ass. Orin is part cat and part elf so magic is his way of life. When one of the professors asks him to look at a book, imagine his surprise when the book is of his linage. A book that the professor shouldn’t of had and one that could summon a true god. So you can imagine what he did.
Thor is the Norse god of the storms and a complete ass sometimes. He has a temper and pretty much loves to fight. He can fight what is to come but it will kick his ass. He has found his true mate, a mate that is sweet and cute. A mate that might just surprise him in the end.
I had been hoping for a bit more danger from the idiot professor but what happened to him was perfect. Never piss off a god, well unless he is your mate. It was exciting and gave me everything I could want in a book. Talk about some action you can find your self in the mix of. Some hot sexy time and a weird book, I could find that I would love that. My attention never left this book and I have to admit that I wanted to read it again immediately. I also find that I want to go read the previous books again also.
I had a blast reading this and can not wait to get my hands on the next book. This is one series I would definitely recommend.

by

In a relationship that violates rules and expectations, Mayr and Tash have found their perfect match in each other. Despite their fears and difficult pasts, they hope for a shared future with security and a family. When Mayr’s secret first love, Arieve, proposes they create that family with her, it seems dreams could become reality.
But life is complicated, and so is the delicate balance between duty and love. While Mayr protects the Dahe family at all costs, Tash is determined to succeed as a priest. Both positions require sacrifice, forcing their relationship into painful choices. To make matters worse, criminals lurk in the shadows, seeking revenge on them and those they guard.
The life they want risks losing everything—including Arieve and each other. Even if they can have it all, keeping it may take more than they can give.
Warnings: “Soulbound” contains some explicit content, references to self-harm, suicide, and mentions of suicide-related behavior and intent. This story also contains instances of graphic violence, references to rape and domestic abuse, and depictions and mentions of depression.
Blurb: Emory is a humble kitchen servant intent on working hard so he can continue to earn his daily crust of bread. It is a thankless, back-breaking job, but it is exactly where Emory wants to be.

Review: An evil plan, many that are part of said plan and one man, Emory, who takes it upon himself to try and thwart the evil in the castle. I liked Emory’s determination and strong will even though it seemed every turn he took no one believe. He did not stop trying to warn others. Prince Riffyn I did not like at first. I thought his treatment of Emory when the servant girl lied on him was horrible. If I were Emory I would have never looked back after being thrown out and no even given the benefit of hearing his side of things.
A great read with plenty of drama, danger and mystery. I loved how the story unfolded. Emory and Riffyn were a cute couple once everything was found out and they got together. There some tense scenes with the culprits of the plan against the kingdom. The scheming and the lengths that were made into the evil plan were interesting.

Not only are the supernatural creatures they see daily real, but their grandmother is an Elf, meaning Erin isn’t fully human. On top of that, the dreams Erin thought were nightmares are actually prophecies.
While dealing with the anger they have over all of the lies, they are getting used to their new boyfriend, their boyfriend’s bullying ex, and the fact that they come from a family of Demon Hunters. As Erin struggles through everything weighing on them, they uncover a Demon plot to take over the world.
Erin just wants some time to work through it all on their own terms, but that’s going to have to wait until after they help save the world.

Blurb: When Ezra finds out the truth of why his mate has kept him at a distance, he promises to make changes to ensure his mates safety and prove to Jewel how much he loves him. Jewel is thrilled that Ezra sticks to his word and let’s the walls around his heart shatter, allowing Ezra in completely. But just as he finds out about a special gift that will bring them closer together, someone kidnaps Jewel.
Review: This series is a spin-off of Eternal Flames and Eternal Maddox. I would suggest reading those books first because it will give you a bit of back ground to figuring out who everyone is.
Ezra and Jewel have been mates for some time, but Jewel has had a hard time with it. He was the one who went to Ezra’s coven to warn them of attack and it ended up with him being in their cells for close to two months. When Ezra found him he not only saved him but made them realize just what he was. However there was a coven member who wanted them stopped.
Then Jewel is kidnapped and you won’t believe who is behind it. Might just keep the surprises going. Now with this book the way it starts makes you feel like you are missing some vital parts to the story. So it can be a bit confusing if you don’t know a bit about what is going on before hand.
This is one of those stories that just catches your attention from the start and doesn’t let it go until the end. It is also one of those stories that will be read many times over. I also love the surprise Jewel receives and I can guarantee that Ezra is going to love it also.
This is one of my favorite type of books and I can’t wait to get my hands on book two. I can tell you when I first came across Jewel I wanted to smack the crap out of him but now I understand how he got there. He is an amazing young man with a sexy and powerful vampire king to back him up.

Blurb: When Lucky arrives in Ethra, the world of his birth and destiny, he expects a joyful reunion, but the first thing he notices when he reaches the Sisterhold—his home—is something false behind his mother’s smile. In a matter of weeks, the Sisterhold becomes agitated with worries and war plans. People he trusts—like the wizard Thurlock—frequently can’t be found. His mother seems angry, especially with Lucky. Even Han Shieth, the warrior uncle he has come to rely on and love above all others, maintains a sullen silence toward him.
When Lucky’s resentment builds to the breaking point, his bad decisions put him and his friends, L’Aria and Zhevi, in unthinkable danger. Han arrives to help, but he can’t claim invulnerability to the hazards and evils that threaten at every turn. Events launch Lucky, alone, on a quest for he knows not what, but every step brings him closer to his identity and full strength. Self-knowledge, trust, and strength lead to smarter choices, but even his best efforts might not render his world truly safe, now or for the future.
Review: This story picks up where book one leaves off. Lucky is struggling with his new life. He feels he’s the reason for everything going wrong. Everyone else seems to have a place except Lucky. I found Lucky to be a bit self depreciating but that was to be expected given his new circumstances.
War breaks out and his Uncle is sent to where the troops are, leaving Lucky and his bodyguard and love interest, Zhevi behind. Zhevi wants to protect Lucky from all that is dangerous so the two set off on a dangerous mission when L’Aria is kidnapped. This adventure leads to finding out knowledge Lucky needs to come into his own and mature into the man he was destined to become one day.
I loved this story. Lucky was bit melodramatic but I understood why. Being thrown into a new world must have been stressing to say the least. The characters all had a roe to play in creating a wonderful story as the adventure unfolded. I loved everything about it.
Blurb: Lorcán Kennedy is a take-no-prisoner vampire whose grit is tested when slain vampires start showing up in his sector. His investigation reveals a blessed weapon was used in the slayings, which leads him to a rogue hunter with a grudge against vampires. Christian Wolfe is a no-nonsense hunter who believes the only good vampire is a dead one, but his code of honor keeps his hatred in check. When his integrity is questioned, he will do anything to defend it, including work with his enemy.
Vampire and hunter unite to solve the case, although for very different reasons. Lorcán wants to prove he is worthy of his Regent title once and for all. Christian wants to uncover who is framing him for the vampire deaths. It sounds easy enough, but neither are prepared for the desire that arcs between them when their eyes meet for the first time. When longing glances give way to passionate kisses and scorching touches, these powerful beings will learn that their bond goes beyond mere attraction. It is fate.
Sparks and fangs fly in this second installment of the Genesis Circle, a paranormal romance series written by Nicholas Bella and Aimee Nicole Walker. This book contains explicit material and is intended for adults 18 and older.
Review: I loved this story about Christian and Lorcen. The sexual tension between the two after they meet was off the charts. Christian hates vampires due to what happened to his family. Lorcen is regent vampire put in charge of finding out who killed vampires in his territory by his sovereign Nero. Tensions mount as the two try to adjust with working together despite Lorcen thoughts about Christian being the killer.
There were a lot of twists and turns that kept on my edge of seat as I followed the investigation as to who the killer or killers were and why they were doing it. I was amazed by how well written and smoothly the story flowed from one thing to the next. I loved all the characters throughout as they added their own elements to enhance this book to it’s fullest potential.
Suspense, mystery and all sorts of supernatural beings create an awesome addition to the series as the team tries to unravel the who and why of the killings. The actual killer did not surprise me but what did was those he killed.
This story has it all. An evil person set to try to take more power no matter the cost, two men who are attracted to one another yet one fights it, supernatural beings both allies, new and old and enemies and a great detail to the investigation made for an outstanding book to read.
